Into the healing farming game

CH 21 - Day 28 of Spring

28th Day of Spring

It had been a fun experience. It meant meeting unexpected people and creating something new.

The experience had mainly come from my daughter.

A daughter loved all over the city, Stacey created various accidents and fun experiences.

Even if she sometimes had immature accidents, it was something that could be overlooked due to her young age and experience.

As a father, my job was to fix and resolve such things. Being a noble required a lot of experience.

Just don’t have to repeat the same mistake next time.

My daughter was wise and didn’t repeat that mistake. Those experiences, which were half positive and half negative, soon turned into positive ones.

The same applied to today’s events. Fred said he had bought some fruit from a man who looked like a farmer on the outskirts of town.

Strawberries and melons. They were precious fruits. Because the quantity distributed was small, they were treated as precious. Sweetness was a bonus. It was a waste of resources to be wasted on the streets like this.

There was no way the farmer didn’t know its value, and he probably knew his daughter’s identity and matched it to that tune. No matter how the farmer felt, calling him with a grateful heart was an action he had taken as a father, not as a lord.

“Are you that farmer?”

The man known as Minho had an attractive appearance. He had a mild appearance and a sharp demeanor. He was a man with distinct facial features and an unforgettable impression.

His manly eyes were straight.

It was none other than Jack Coleman.

He was the master of this city.

“Yes. My name is Minho.”

“Yes, Minho. Nice to meet you. I am the master of this city. I am Jack Coleman.”

He sipped some tea. The scent of flowers passed down his throat and pierced his nose.

It was great tea to drink anytime. The farmer in front of me didn’t do anything. Was it because he was nervous? It didn’t look like that.

“Yes. Nice to meet you.” “I heard you sold melons and strawberries to my daughter.”

If I could afford it, I intended to sign a contract at the city level rather than on an individual basis. For farmers who grew crops on a small scale, having a fixed contract was a big advantage.

Of course, if the crop was a sweet type of rare fruit, it was also good for us. It was perfect to use as a luxury item to show off or as a gift. It was a transaction with many benefits. As long as the quality was guaranteed.

“Yes. Is there anything wrong?”

“Hmm. Not really.”

The farmer’s expression exuded confidence. Although he might not have known the etiquette of nobles, he had the confidence to say that there was nothing wrong with his actions. He was a likable young man.

“Do you have a large quantity?”

“What is the standard for many?”

“I’ll say it again. What is the quantity? I mean the amount that can be harvested at a certain rate.”

“In that case, I think it would be about 10,000 per two weeks.”

10,000 in two weeks. Was he running a bigger farm than I thought? The corners of Jack Coleman’s mouth rose slightly.

“You were a capable farmer. Can you show me your wares?”

“As much as you want.”

Did he also own a magic bag? He was richer than I thought.

Melons and strawberries were pulled out of the air. That unique scent covered the scent rising from the teacup and hit Jack Coleman’s nose.

I wondered if my daughter couldn’t stand it anymore. It must have been difficult to resist seeing that sweet, juicy sight.

“The product looks good.”

“Musk melon and strawberry.”

“Musk Melon?”

“It’s a sweeter melon. Would you like to try it?”

“Gladly.”

He poked the melon with a fork. That soft touch was applied gently without resistance.

He put it in his mouth and took a bold bite. The sweetness invaded his tongue. The spreading juice and refreshing sweet scent.

The pulp went down his throat without chewing it a few times. The remaining sweetness lingered in his mouth longer than expected. It wasn’t the unpleasant kind, and it felt cleaner than I thought.

Okay. I thought it would be appropriate to describe it as a luxurious sweetness.

“That’s great.”

It was a great fruit that would be eaten anywhere.

“Thank you.”

Jack Coleman then ate some strawberries. This wasn’t much different from the existing strawberries. A little more refreshing, a little sweeter. It was just a high-quality strawberry.

I felt sad inside, but I swallowed my feelings, thinking that it was greed to want more from the man who brought me a special fruit called musk melon.

Knock knock— He tapped his fingers on the table.

This was the habit Jack Coleman developed when he got lost in long thoughts.

“Are you interested in signing a contract with us?”

“I like it.”

Why have no place where capable farmer like this was contracted yet. Was this a problematic product? Or was he simply a talented genius farmer who had just entered the world?

Jack Coleman continued his thoughts slowly. Since his reputation was important to the nobles, he decided to quietly obtain the information behind the scenes. The important thing was to conclude the contract first.

First of all, winning the first product and signing a contract had the effect of tying this man to me. If it became a problem, I could quietly dispose of it. There was no need to waste money. Fame could not be restored, but money could be collected at any time.

Of course, it was best for both sides to avoid any problems. Receiving a steady supply of such good products was one of the actions that clearly showed the ability of a nobleman. Regardless of the era, it was natural for luxury items that satisfied one’s appetite to be in the spotlight.

“Melons cost 20 gold each. Strawberries cost 3 gold each. If you continue to maintain high quality, I am willing to raise the price a little.”

“Are you continuing to purchase 10,000 units every two weeks?”

“Of course. If you produce more, you can bring more. Is it 10,000 in total or 10,000 each?”

“A total of 10,000. If it grows bigger in the future, it could be like that.”

“The more the better.”

It was an unexpectedly large harvest. Jack Coleman’s smile also grew brighter.

It was an unexpectedly large harvest. Melons, which used to sell for 7 gold, cost 20 gold here? Triple your profits?

The man named Jack Coleman, leisurely stroking his beard, looked amazing.

200,000 gold in 2 weeks.

If you mixed strawberries and melons, you wouldn’t get this much, but you could get at least 150,000 gold.

400,000 gold per month.

The enormous amount of money made my head hurt. It was because I was filled with happiness.

The details were coordinated with a man called Alfred. They sent a wagon to us once every two weeks and got the product verified.

It was a contract in which I had nothing to lose.

It seemed like just yesterday that I was happy when I sold it to Abel for 7 gold, saying that this was a great amount of money.

I was dumbfounded when I saw the amount of 20 gold.

Yes, this was farming. The best way to make money that couldn’t be matched by anything else.

Even if I planted 5,000 seeds a day, there were still few that lands that were open.

There wasn’t enough gold to buy all 35,000 melons in a week, and it wasn’t enough to do that much work yet.

That was why I made 10,000 calls in two weeks. Anyway, I told them to bring as much as this number increased.

I thought it would be better to gradually increase the number rather than going overboard.

I had been experimenting with various things and planting and growing a lot, but I thought the future direction would be decided. Things close to luxury. I thought that would be the main thing.

“Please continue to do good business in the future.”

“I hope you to take care of me well.”

We closed the deal by holding his hand. The feel of the butler’s wrinkled hands was soothing. This might have been because my heart was so excited.

The transaction itself took place two weeks later. When I returned from my trip, I decided to take some time off. Otherwise, I would have rushed home right away and expanded my melon field. I might have had to live a little busier in the future, but it was well worth it.

It was worth carrying around the melons and strawberries without having to sell them all.

I thought it was meant to be a gift, but wouldn’t it have its own charm to open a transaction through such an unexpected opportunity?

New things that had never been tasted in the game popped out like this. The fairy farm we had chosen as our current destination was one such case.

Because I was treated like a guest, I was given the opportunity to stay in the castle. I wanted to enjoy a nice place while I was staying, so I spent the night inside the castle.

There was nothing as special as I had thought.

There was nothing special except that a little boy came to visit and sang the melon and strawberry song and used a strange way of speaking, saying, ‘Give it to me!’

From a modern perspective, there was quite a difference between the 21st-century hotel and the facilities inside the castle.

That strange feeling of oddly uncomfortable parts and comfortable parts coming together in an ambiguous way.

There were some things that were difficult to explain in words unless you experienced them yourself.

Just like that, the 26th day of spring came to an end.

Morning of the 27th Day.

After soothing my stomach with warm food, I left the castle.

The destination was east. A flower farm where forests and life were vibrantly alive. A fairy land overflowing with life. We went to a fairy farm unknown to humans.

Slowly, the road came to an end. The road that had been vaguely drawn disappeared, and we slowly moved to a place where there were few people and there was no road to be found. As always, moving alone was very tedious.

After spending lunch and the afternoon, I reached the fairy forest. After crossing this forest, I could finally reach the fairy farm.

The road was broken and there was no compass, so it was impossible to determine the correct location. However, I had a minimap feature engraved in the UI.

A map obtained for only 500 gold.

There was no function that showed the destination with an arrow, but it was easy to know where I was and where I needed to go.

Thanks to that, I was able to arrive straight at the fairy forest without getting lost.

Camping alone. The forest, which had been dyed a bright green light, suddenly turned dark. There was a quiet silence in the forest under a dark blue night.

I lit a bonfire to relieve the chill.

The fire that had been made by rubbing wood no longer existed.

The existence of flint was a virtue that showed how useful humans could use tools.

I was a little worried about the presence of alarms and watchdogs, but I trusted my senses to wake up to the security devices clumsily placed around the tent.

I believed that my keen senses, developed through fighting and fishing, would keep my life safe.

“It’s already the third day.”

Camping with the guys on the first day. On the second day, I signed a contract and spent the night at the castle. On the third day, I walked to the fairy forest and camped.

It had already been 3 days since my trip. Tomorrow was the 4th day. It was an appropriate expression to say that it took 10 days to come and go.

I lay down in the cozy feel of my sleeping bag, listening to the noise of the crackling bonfire. I closed my eyes in that soft, warm embrace.

Morning of the 28th Day.

A morning without dreams was new in many ways. I felt like my condition was always at its peak. Did not having dreams guarantee that you would be in such a good condition even if you slept on the street? I wasn’t sure about that.

There had been a little noise last night, but there was no major danger. My senses told me to feel safe, so I trusted that and fell asleep soundly.

I tidied up my place and quickly made breakfast. For dessert, a piece of melon. Although it was a piece, it was now close to 3 gold.

I felt the sweetness spreading in my mouth and gained strength to start my day. It was a passage that made it easy to understand why people sought out sweet and delicious food when they were having a hard time.

Today’s destination was Fairy Farm.

I crossed the forest and passed through endless greenery. The shadows drew a dark green color.

Around the time when the ground gradually warmed up and the cool temperature of dawn disappeared, I was finally able to witness a bunch of bubbling life and a brightly unfolding flower field.

Okay.

I was going to try advanced farming skills. Somehow, I was able to reach the fairy farm on foot.

“Human! Human!”

“How did you get here?”

From far away, two palm-sized fairies came flying in. The fairy’s light powder fluttering from their transparent wings sparkled in the sunlight and tickled my eyes.

“Hi.”

“Oh! Hello! Humans play with fairies!”

“Do you know how to speak fairy language?”

Was this the personification of being lively? The fairy was lively and vibrant.

“I think so.”

“It’s amazing! It’s amazing!”

“Why did you come here? No! You can’t let another life come in! We might get scolded. Run away quickly!”

Could I speak fairy language? I thought it was a good feature again. Being able to speak multiple languages was not a bad thing at all.

“I came to get the Sky Dew Fruit. Now, here’s a greeting gift.”

Making a deal with a fairy was simple. Was it for no reason that I brought strawberries and melons to the end? It was a gift for these guys.

I divided the cut melon pieces in half and gave one to each fairy. The fairy’s expression became ecstatic.

The cute face of a fairy gently chewing a melon.

Was your face about half the size of your thumb?

It was very cute to see him burying himself in the melon with his mouth and working hard to eat the flesh.

“Humans? What’s going on with humans here?”

“It’s human!”

The fairies were connected as one.

Should I say that our thoughts were similar? It wasn’t completely shared, but usually when something happened, other fairies noticed it immediately.

That was the reason why the fairies gathered one by one like this even though there was no special notice. It was like that in games too. If you met a fairy, it wouldn’t be long before they came flocking to you.

Later, when I became familiar with the fairy, she would tell me various things, but for some reason, this piece of information remained in my memory.

“Hi.”

“It’s human! It smells like a forest!”

“Sweet smell too!”

“It’s a human male!”

“Wow! This is my first time seeing a human!”

It was crazy. With fairies talking wildly everywhere, I felt like I was the center of attention at Dottegi Market. Just when my head was starting to hurt, someone appeared to sort out the situation.

“Hmm. It would be right to expel him without a word, but he doesn’t seem like a very bad person.”

It was the appearance of a majestic fairy.

“Hi.”

“Okay. What brought you here?”

“Do you want to eat this first?”

It was fun in its own way to have a conversation with a fairy from the beginning.

Originally, the idea was to give fruit and watch the fluttering 2D graphics, then take a communication pill given by a fairy and start talking.

Musk melon and strawberry. There was no need to give something to get a pill for conversation, but it was the standard route in itself to win someone’s favor by giving them fruit.

“Hmm?”

“Try it. It will be delicious.”

It was hard to say it was pure intention, but whatever. Because it wasn’t a mixture of bad intentions.

The fairy with the biggest wings looked at the two fairies who were hastily eating melons. And then I took a bite of the melon. Juice flowed from the corner of that small mouth.

“Is it delicious?”

“…”

The fairy then took another bite of the melon without saying a word. The other fairies watched the fairy eating the melon in silence.

“Ha. This is my first time seeing someone like this.”

The fairy laughed helplessly, broke the melon she was eating into small pieces, and distributed it to the fairies who came running.

“I’m sorry, but can I have a little more fruit? I think it would be disrespectful for me as a superior if I couldn’t share the delight I tasted with my subordinates.”

“As much as you want.”

What. Although it was still insufficient to be called an all-rounder. It seemed that the power of Musk Melon was enough to break down the fairy’s wariness.
