Chapter 276: Chapter 33. Let's Go Berserker Again
[Arc4] - 33. Let's Go Berserker Again
---
"Ughhhh!"
The corrupted Gilgamesh roared, raising EA in his hand.
"That really is identical, but unfortunately, not this time," Lord El-Melloi II waved the fan in his hand. "Witness the ultimate formation of the Grand Strategist—The Eight Trigrams Formation of Stone Soldiers."
Eight enormous stone pillars descended from the sky, crashing into the desert. The body of the corrupted Gilgamesh, at the center, sank as if restrained, and the rapidly spinning blades of EA began to slow, as if something was limiting them.
"This is the best I can manage?" El-Melloi II's expression grew tense.
"It's already enough!" King of Conquerors Gray raised the sword in her hand high. "Charge!"
Tens of thousands of troops charged towards the corrupted Gilgamesh, with the King leading the charge, driving the chariot at the front.
"Ughhhhh!"
The corrupted Gilgamesh bellowed in rage, black mist pouring out as two enormous blades swept toward the King of Conquerors's army.
"You really have a bunch of strange tricks up your sleeve!" King of Conquerors Gray grinned, snapping the reins. The divine bulls pulled the chariot high into the air, dodging the massive blades and charging toward the corrupted Gilgamesh.
Dozens of brilliant, glowing chains shot out from the black mist, wrapping around King of Conquerors Gray's body.
Clang—!
Unable to evade, King of Conquerors Gray collided head-on with the Chains of Heaven. The slender limbs were wrapped tightly, and the chariot, enveloped in thunder, began to slow under the chains' restraint. The majestic divine bulls had their necks choked by the chains.
The shining tip of the sword stopped just short of the corrupted Gilgamesh's chest.
"If it were just me, I would have lost," King of Conquerors Gray smirked. "A king never fights alone."
The corrupted Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed as he growled and stepped back, but it was too late. Standing behind King of Conquerors Gray, El-Melloi II placed his hand on her back and pushed with force.
The sword, which had been unable to move forward, pierced through the corrupted Gilgamesh's chest.
"Ughhhh!"
The corrupted Gilgamesh let out an agonizing roar, releasing a crimson wind pressure from EA that tore the world apart as it struck the ground.
"This guy has too many damn treasures!" King of Conquerors Gray glared bitterly at EA in the corrupted Gilgamesh's hand.
"Is now really the time to be worrying about that?" Cyd slashed through the Chains of Heaven with a single blow, shattering them with brute force.
"Let's get out of here!"
Freed from the chains, King of Conquerors Gray whipped the reins and guided the chariot away from the surging wind pressure. Cyd, hanging onto the edge of the chariot, watched the collapsing desert below.
"That Noble Phantasm is really troublesome. No matter what kind of barrier we set up, it'll just cut through."
"No problem. I think I wounded him earlier, so from now on, we just need to..."
Before King of Conquerors Gray could finish her sentence, Gilgamesh did something that stunned everyone into silence.
He... ran away...
The corrupted Gilgamesh, who had been acting without any reason, mindlessly throwing Noble Phantasms at anything that moved, clutched the spot where King of Conquerors Gray had pierced him and quickly jumped down from the battlefield.
Then, a massive airship soared into the sky.
That's not something you can just conjure up from gas!
Lord El-Melloi II's face turned pale. "Chase... Chase after him!"
King of Conquerors Gray snapped the reins furiously, and with a surge of lightning, the Gordius Wheel pursued the fleeing corrupted Gilgamesh.
"What about us?" Tohsaka Rin gazed longingly at the streak of lightning in the sky.
"Chase!" Luvia gritted her teeth.
"I can fly," Illya wasted no time and immediately flew in the direction of the chariot.
"I can fly too!" Miyu chased after Illya.
"But we can't!"
…
"What is that guy trying to do, flying around in circles?" King of Conquerors Gray glared at the rapidly moving airship not far away, feeling annoyed. "If he's trying to escape, he's doing it way too slowly!"
"He's not escaping," El-Melloi II narrowed his eyes. Gilgamesh's flight trajectory was following the ley lines.
He was searching for something along those ley lines... something on top of them...
El-Melloi II's eyes widened suddenly.
The Great Hollow... the ritual for the Holy Grail!
The airship suddenly shifted, and the bottom opened up. A missile-like object was launched from it.
"Looks like he's found it, and he plans to blow up the mountaintop," Cyd muttered with a twitch of his lips.
One of the few mountains in Fuyuki City was leveled.
"How... how am I supposed to explain this to the media?" El-Melloi II's face twitched.
"Don't worry about it! If you let little things like this stop you, you'll never accomplish anything big," King of Conquerors Gray casually patted El-Melloi II on the back.
"Aren't we supposed to chase him? The guy who blew up the mountain is already down there," Cyd tapped the Gordius Wheel with his sword-axe.
"Chase him!"
…
Meanwhile...
The corrupted Gilgamesh landed steadily on an altar-like stone platform. After a quick glance around, he stomped down heavily with his foot.
Blinding light burst from beneath his feet, as a massive ritual array hidden beneath the earth began to glow intensely.
"Hahahahaha!"
No more angry roars, only maniacal laughter.
He had obtained what he wanted.
A swirling vortex of black mist shot straight into the sky.
So that's it... King of Conquerors Gray narrowed her eyes, a grin spreading across her face.
"I don't know what he's planning, but we have to stop him!" El-Melloi II shouted urgently.
"I'll go down and chop him in half," Cyd said, letting go and dropping straight toward the Great Hollow. But someone was even faster.
King of Conquerors Gray untied her cloak, planted a foot on the Gordius Wheel, and used it as a springboard, launching herself like a cannonball toward the Great Hollow.
Boom—!
King of Conquerors Gray landed heavily on the ground.
"I've got a pretty good idea of what you're up to," she said, cracking her neck, before charging straight into the vortex.
"Count me in!"
"Hey!" Cyd, having just landed, rushed after King of Conquerors Gray.
"I'll leave this girl to you," King of Conquerors Gray waved to Cyd as she rushed ahead.
Cyd reached out, grabbing Gray's arm and pulling her back with force. Amidst the scattering light, the unconscious Gray fell into Cyd's arms.
The Rider class card fluttered into the swirling black mist, as if drawn by a summons. Half the mist began gathering around the Rider class card, forming a tall figure within the ritual, one as imposing as the corrupted Gilgamesh.
"Ughhhh!"
The corrupted Gilgamesh roared furiously at the figure, but before he could kick him away, the figure lunged and bear-hugged Gilgamesh. Under the glowing light of the ritual, the two were thrown out together.
"My king!" El-Melloi II, now wrapped in a cloak, clumsily guided the Gordius Wheel to the ground. But when he saw the two figures tangled on the ground, his legs gave way, and he fell off the chariot.
A golden-haired boy, completely unclothed, scratched the back of his head in pain. A red-haired boy, equally naked, blinked in confusion.
"I feel like I need some time to think," Cyd covered his face.
"Cyd!!! No wait! What is this!?"
The two magical girls, who had landed in a hurry, barely had time to ask Cyd anything before they saw it. Even though the golden-red duo wore nothing, they stood up as naturally as ever, one of them even stretching.
"Ughhhh!"
Despite half of his body missing, the corrupted Gilgamesh stubbornly refused to disappear. Black mist began to fill in the parts he was missing.
"Oh my, this really has turned into a mess," the blonde boy shrugged helplessly.
"Forget it. Let's just slice him up," Cyd, overwhelmed by the sheer number of events, decided to abandon any further thought and do what any Berserker would do.
Cut him down first.
However, an unexpected event occurred—a pale, delicate hand pierced through the corrupted Gilgamesh's chest and grabbed the Archer class card.
At the same time, a kaleidoscope-like ritual unfolded around Cyd, and a thunderous hammer shot out from the ritual, slamming straight into Cyd's body.
"As expected, things have become troublesome," the blonde boy shrugged again, as if he had foreseen it all.
