NOVEL NEXT Let the show begin
It is now the last day of classes. I do not really understand the need for such a day but I will just let it be. I can surmise that such a day is for farewells or for any announcements that need to be made. It does not truly matter to me but I will still go since today seems to be an exciting day. In the game, this month is relatively boring in all accounts. You have limited time to do anything if you want to achieve the top grade. In the game, getting first place did have significant benefits but none of them would fit into my current setting.
“Mistress.”
Sylvia called out to me and all of us left the dorm to walk towards the school. However, what shocked most of the players was a sudden event that occurs on this very day. Right after everyone is dismissed, a certain group of five would stride over to the commoner’s classes and accuse a certain female protagonist of using the male protagonist. It is the usual defacement that villains face in these stories. The surprising fact is that this was done to a protagonist instead of an antagonist.
“Hm?”
As I am remembering facts about the game, I notice Lyn. Exams are now over so she cannot complain if I mess with her now, right? So, I took dirt to my hands once again and proceeded to dump it all on her head.
“The fuck!?”
She swiftly turns around and notices me. I smile at her and I see her face twist with a lot of emotion. After a few seconds, she suddenly calms down and stares at me.
“I get it. This is my fault, right? Since I “asked” you to wait until now.”
I do not reply to her as I just smile at her words.
“Whatever. You did what you wanted to do. Just go away already.”
I am not one to follow anyone else. So, I dumped the other set of dirt that I had on my other hand on her head before walking off.
“Fuck you!”
The day is off to a great start. We arrive in school with no problems. I make sure to not see the prince beforehand as it may ruin my surprise for later. Now, where was I? Ah. After this incident, the certain group of five would be expelled from the academy for upsetting the prince. My in-game self could have prevented the expulsion as all of them were from her clique but she did not even realize at the time that she did control the school.
“The more I think back, the more I think of so many things I could have done differently.”
“Did you say something, mistress?”
Sylvia seems to have noticed me speaking to myself.
“It is nothing.”
“Hello, miss Athena!”
As we are walking towards our classroom, someone called out to me. There is only one person in this school that would shout my name in such a manner.
“Hello, Juliet. Is there anything you need?”
Juliet tilts her head to my question.
“Oh. Nothing really. I just thought that I should greet you since it’s the last day and all.”
“I see. Yes, we might not see each other for a while after this.”
“Yeah! So, I just wanted to get the hellos and goodbyes earlier since we might not get to see each other later.”
“I understand. Have a fun break, Juliet.”
“Yeah! You too, miss Athena! Oh, before I forget. There is something I should tell you.”
“Go on.”
“So, apparently the student council is looking for new members! And they plan on recruiting at least one person in our grade.”
I look towards the others but all of them shook their heads.
“And how did you find out about this information?”
Juliet looks around and then she gestures me come closer to her. I do so and lean forward.
“I am friends with the student council president.”
She leans back afterwards and smiles brightly to me.
“I see. I also have something I need to tell you.”
“Sure! What is it?”
“Go home early today. You do not need to get involved.”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
I put my hand on her head and pat it.
“Do not worry about it. Goodbye, Juliet.”
Juliet still looked confused but she smiled brightly as I bid her farewell.
“Goodbye, miss Athena!”
That girl is just full of surprises. The student council. I would need to deal with them at some point. In the game, they only appeared after the first break so I will put them out of my mind until they appear. It would not be any fun to remove them before they do anything after all. Besides, they are not that important in the story. At least, for my story.
“That is all. Have a good break.”
Class now ends as there was nothing important happened. Now, I need only to wait. I have noticed that the prince has been glancing in my direction for some time now. It seems that a certain group of five has gotten to him but will he support them. That is what I wish to see. I stood up and tried to leave until someone called out to me.
“Athena Eterna!”
Someone called out to me. I looked back and saw the leader of the group of five pointing at me.
“You have committed horrible crimes!”
She walks towards the prince as I walk back to my own seat. I signal to the others to not interfere as they follow me.
‘You have harassed students in this school!”
I am not standing in front of my seat as their group of five stand in front of the prince. I ignore her ramblings and stare directly at the prince. He refuses to return my gaze.
“You have abused your power long enough!”
All my classmates are currently not moving on this declaration.
“How interesting.”
That is all I say before I finally stare at her. I smile and I see all of them flinch. I raise both of my arms to the side and say to all of them.
“Let the show begin.”
