I suddenly became the villain and I liked it

Healing

I open my eyes. I see the familiar ceiling of my room. I move the body. The pain is still there but it is manageable now. I sit on my bed as I shake my head. I feel weak and groggy. This only means one thing. It is currently a Sunday. The door opens and head maid enters the room. She is not wearing her usual maid outfit. She has additional garments covering her arms, legs, and torso.

“Good morning, milady.”

“Why are you here, head maid?”

“News reached the master about your situation and I have been sent to take care of business.”

“I see. She moves fast.”

“Yes. She has.”

“How long do you need?”

“Due to the situation, I will be staying here for a week. The master will be returning in a few days and the master has requested your presence.”

“I understand. Say my gratitude to them for me.”

“You do not wish to meet with them, milady?”

“We will meet next time.”

As we talk, head maid looks to the door. I did not hear anything but knowing that reaction it can only be one thing.

“I have a visitor.”

“Yes, milady. Judging from the time and day, it can only be one person.”

“Yes. So, you had best leave now. You had already been seen before but it should not happen again.”

“Understood, milady.”

I remove my gaze from head maid and I could no longer see her. I fix up my appearance before leaving the room. Everyone was gone as usual. If head maid did not arrive, Sylvia would have probably been here. I walk towards the door and open it.

“Hi!”

The familiar sight of Claire stands there smiling. It was the first time we had seen each other in two months. I guide her inside. As we arrive in the lobby, there was already a tray of snacks and tea set up on the table.

“Oh. Were you expecting guests? Should I go?”

“No. Feel free to enjoy yourself.”

“Okay!”

Claire starts eating the snacks. She does not use any of the etiquette that she has been taught.

“Oh, sorry. I should be more proper.”

“No need to worry. It is just us friends here.”

“Thank you, Athena!”

Claire stands up and runs towards me to hug me. I was too slow to dodge and I could not stop myself from reacting.

“Argh.”

“Huh? Are you okay, Athena? Are you hurt?”

Claire straddles me as she starts checking my body. I relax my body as the pain subsides.

“A lady should not do such a thing.”

Claire looks surprised as she looks at our current position.

“No need to worry. It is just us friends here after all. Unless, am I making you uncomfortable?”

She smiles at me and I respond with a smile of my own.

“It is fine. You are not too heavy.”

“Great!”

Claire resumes touching my body. I let her do so. She pokes my body trying to find which part hurts. I could hide my discomfort but I let her know it as she pokes my ribs.

“Oh, Found it!”

Then, Claire starts looking around.

“Hey, can you keep a secret?”

“A secret? Sure, I can keep a secret.”

“Okay!”

Claire puts her hands over my stomach area and I see it emit a golden light.

“Huh? Why is it not working? Wait, let me use a bit more.”

The golden light becomes brighter as I feel it fixing my injury. A soothing feeling flows through my body as the pain disappears.

“How are you feeling now?”

I move my body just a bit. Being careful to not move too much as Claire is still straddling me. The pain has disappeared.

“I do not feel any pain.”

“That’s good!”

Claire hugs me as she celebrates.

“Oh. Father told me to keep it a secret. So, don’t tell anyone else, okay?”

“Sure.”

I did not know that Claire could heal. Wait, why did I not know? What is going on? I should know this, right? Why do I not know? What is going on in my h- Argh!

“Does it still hurt?”

A brief headache. It passes immediately.

“No. I am perfectly fine now. I shall keep your secret safe.”

It is understandable why the king would hide this. If this gets out, there are multiple people who would try to target her. Maybe they plan on revealing it when she is older. It does not matter to me anyway.

“So, why did you visit today?”

“Oh, right! I came here to say goodbye.”

“Goodbye?”

“Yeah. Brother said that all of you have a break and there will be no school for the month. He is going home. So, I just wanted to say goodbye.”

“I see. Goodbye, Claire. Let us meet again in the future.”

“Yeah!”

Claire jumps off me and stands.

“I must go back now.”

Claire runs off as she leaves. A bundle of energy. What a surprising revelation. The princess can heal. I must make sure that father never knows. He will definitely try to get her for whatever reason he wants.

“A break, huh.”

I return to my room and lay on the bed. Most of the people that I know would go home during the break. The ones who will probably stay would be Lyn and Juliet. Lyn does not have anywhere to go and Juliet already lives here so they will probably do a lot of things together. As for me, I must go home.

“Home.”

I look at the sky and I must steel myself. Whatever father wishes for me to do, it will not be pleasant. The game never shows what the villain did at this time so I do not have any idea on what could happen. I will also probably meet with that woman again but the main thing that I need to think about is someone else.

“Sylvia.”

Will I bring her with me or leave her behind? This decision is vital as it can shape all of our futures.
