Chapter 476: 476 Invincible: I am not Batman, I am the Regulator, Existential Doubts, The Path of Justice is Costly and Unimaginable Suffering.
It was a dark, cold, and unfortunate night. While most events happen under the sunlight, at night, this great city also becomes tainted with evil at every corner.
This world, plunged into chaos and filled with corruption, should it be incinerated and burned alive? Is there hope? Will someone come from the heavens to guide them?
No one knows, but while they wait, it's good to have someone to restore order in this chaotic world.
The night wind shook his black trench coat, giving him an imposing air. Standing on top of the building, with the city beneath his feet, he appeared as a specter of justice, a shadow lurking in the dark. His cold eyes observed the world from the heights, and in his mind danced thoughts so profound that inferior beings could never comprehend.
The Regulator was waiting to find someone to regulate while he regulated his thoughts on regulation. People would never understand the deep mental process of a mind whose most superficial thought exceeds anyone's capacity to comprehend.
"What if the pigeons are actually watching us and the real birds really went extinct in the 80s?"
Rogue – Huh?!
Rukia – Allen?
The moon illuminated his silhouette. From that height, the city was just a chessboard, and he was a player in the shadows. Allen sighed gravely. The night was long. And he, an enigma impossible to decipher.
"How much does a kidney cost on the black market exactly? Not that I want to sell one... but I like to stay informed."
Natasha – What are you saying?!
2B – Master?...
Makima – A kidney... depends on the quality and the place, but it should cost around...
Kara – Don't answer him!
Diana – Allen, are you okay??
"It was just curiosity, you know; not all criminals can pay the fines; maybe there should be more options," Allen shrugged while looking at the city again, and his eyes became serious once more.
"If I find a thief, technically I'm helping the economy… should I declare it on taxes?" Allen shook his head, and his eyes shone with a strange gleam, "What am I saying? I'll call the treasury department to self-exempt myself from taxes!"
Rick – Excellent, you're one step away from becoming a tyrant or a politician, which would be the same, hahaha.
Rias – Allen, did you eat something weird?
"No, of course not, I'm just resolving existential doubts," Allen held his chin thoughtfully, "For example, if someone pays my 'voluntary tip' with a stolen card… am I an accomplice or a victim?"
Allen took out a cigarette that he wouldn't light, just for dramatic effect. Justice had a price, and he would make sure it was always high.
The wind blew fiercely, but he didn't move. His figure was a statue of determination and mystery. Few could imagine what went through his mind. Few could understand his intellectual level.
"Who came up with the idea that almond milk is milk? It doesn't have udders… or does it?"
Rebecca – Hahaha...
Harley – Haha, the worst part is that he says it so seriously.
"If a chameleon stands in front of a mirror, what color does it change to?"
Nokotan – I haven't thought about that... Bocchi-chan, can you turn into a chameleon?!
Bocchi – Eh?... I don't know, but in any case, I'd be a pink one... sorry.
"What if WiFi is actually a benevolent spirit that connects us all, but we make it work for free?"
Akeno – Allen-kun, you hit your head, didn't you? Don't worry, your beautiful older sister will heal you~
"That... sounds tempting..."
From the top of the building, the city spread out like an ocean of twinkling lights. He observed the city once more. Someone, somewhere, needed his help. Or rather, someone, somewhere, had money that didn't belong to them yet.
"If dogs could talk, what language would they use? Or would they bark with an accent?"
Thor – Obviously, they would have an accent.
Hulk – Hahaha, Hulk doesn't understand, but it's funny.
"If I pay someone to do my job, does that make me a leader... or a lazy person with a budget?"
The Emperor – Maybe both...
"Why don't sheep shrink when it rains, but my wool sweater does?"
McDragon – That's true, why does that happen?!
"If I lend myself money and don't pay it back, can I sue myself?"
Albedo – Allen-sama, if you do that, it doesn't matter whether you win or lose; it won't increase the size of your wallet...
"You're right, Albedo."
Albedo – Hehe~ I do everything with the sole intention of supporting you, but if you want to use me as a seat or something, I'll gladly accept that reward🖤~
The cold of the night didn't affect him. His only real concern was whether to charge the tip before or after the 'help.' It was always better before, people were less excited when they were already safe.
Allen was the night; he was revenge; he was a damn nighttime bastard!
"This city needs me... It's time to Regulate!"
Allen jumped off the building in search of people who needed to be regulated with the full weight of the law, the law that he would likely invent on the spot.
...
(A/N: This chapter is almost a parody XD)
...
In a dark alley, a woman was cornered by three thugs, each holding a weapon, each with bad intentions.
"Come on, sweetheart, give us the money~" one of them licked his knife menacingly.
"If you have enough, we might let you go; otherwise, we'll take it in another way, hehe~" another one laughed disgustingly.
The last of the men looked at her pervertedly, "This night is unexpectedly warm~"
The terrified woman couldn't utter a word; she regretted not waiting for a taxi and regretted working so many overtime hours, but that trip to Miami wasn't going to pay itself.
The woman was an office worker, an assistant manager, a decent position, but her car had broken down. She tried to take a taxi, but they said it would take twenty minutes. Just for not wanting to wait, she found herself in this situation.
'Damn, if I had listened to my sister's advice to find a rich boyfriend, I wouldn't be in this situation!'
As incredible as it seemed, the woman was less scared than she appeared, to the point of cursing. But there was a reason for that.
'Come on, this city is full of superheroes, someone should come, right?'
She clung to the hope that someone in this city would eventually save her, unfortunately, this is Invincible, and many people die waiting to be saved, but that doesn't happen.
The woman saw the three men approach, and her fear intensified. She didn't want to believe this would happen. But the reality was cruel.
*Step*
"But I'm crueler..."
The e voice getting deeper and more pleasant as Allen grew older, entered the woman's ears like anesthesia, calming her completely. On the contrary, the men froze in fear, not knowing why.
'It's like standing on the edge of an abyss!'
'It's like being stared at by a grizzly bear in the forest at night!'
'It's like seeing death smile at you before taking you!'
The sound of his footsteps filled the dark alley, and from the street, a figure entered, slow and steady, approaching the group. The woman, who was calmer now, quickly ran toward Allen, almost stumbling, and hid behind him, as if she instinctively knew that there was no safer place in the world.
"Thank you, I don't know who you are, but thank you so much!" She started crying while hugging Allen from behind.
"Don't worry, citizen, I'm here to support you in this moment of need..." Allen smiled mysteriously.
Albedo – Hold on... Hold on, Albedo, you can't kill her or you'll stain Allen-sama's clothes.
Allen observed the thugs, and his smile turned cold. One of them was muscular and covered in tattoos, and he grabbed a knife and charged at Allen.
'Huh? Why am I doing this?' As the man charged toward Allen in hysterics, he didn't know why his body reacted the way it did. It was an awakened attempt to survive born of instinct.
The knife flew through the air. For a normal person, this would be a life-or-death situation, which made the woman scream, but her concerns were unnecessary.
A baseball bat appeared in the air and struck the thug in the face, sending him flying backward. The bat was held by a blonde girl with blue and pink pigtails, dressed in her characteristic anarchic style.
"Hey, nobody gave you permission to touch Daddy~"
The woman's eyes went wide as she saw a beautiful, eccentric girl appear out of nowhere.
Harley turned to Allen and she jumped on him like a Koala, "Daddy, will I be rewarded?~"
"Of course..."
The woman was surprised and then blushed. Allen didn't seem old, so the only reason Harley would call him that was in a more... intimate context.
The other two wanted to escape, but neither moved from their spot. One's feet were frozen, and the other's were trapped in chains.
"What's going on?!"
"He's a superhero!"
Allen frowned, put Harley down, and gestured to the woman to let him go. He walked toward the thug who had called him a superhero and slapped him.
"Hey! What part of me looks like a superhero to you?! Do I look like I'm wearing spandex or something?!"
"No! Calm down, man!"
"I don't want to," Allen slapped him again, sending him to the ground. "Well then, you bastards think you can have fun at night, huh? You're hot under the collar, aren't you?"
The three men felt a chill as they looked into Allen's eyes. "First things first, you'll pay a fine according to your infractions. You can think of it like your bail, I don't know…"
[$40,000 for being thugs, $200,000 for attempted assault and robbery, $2,000 charges for being night owls, $3,000 laundry charges, $200 light bill, $100 for breathing, $5,000 for existing, $10,000 voluntary tip, $200 because it's Monday]
Seeing the amount Allen was charging them, the three turned pale. They didn't have to pay even a third of that. And some blatant charges made them want to puke. The thugs thought Allen was worse than them, at least they took money directly from their victims' hands, but Allen ruined their lives.
However, they hid their discomfort and smiled awkwardly. "Sir, we can't pay this…"
"I figured as much..." Allen crossed his arms and looked the men up and down. "What is your blood type?"
"Huh?"
The thugs were stunned by Allen's question. What did that have to do with anything?
"Have you had or do you have any diseases? Any congenital problems?"
The faces of the three men turned pale, like ghosts. The kind of questions he was asking made them feel very uncomfortable and scared.
Meave – Allen, you're not seriously thinking about, you know...
Diana – Is he serious?
Hestia – What's going on? I don't understand...
Gwen – Don't you dare!
Natasha – Allen!
While his audience was confused, Allen smiled somewhat defeated. "Alright, there's always a plan B."
Allen took the woman out of the alley while Esdeath closed off the other exits. Once that was done, Allen left the thugs behind. They couldn't escape since the only way out was where Allen had gone.
...
Once outside, the woman breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much, I thought I was done for."
"Don't worry, miss..."
"My name's Elena~"
"It's a pleasure, I'm Allen... don't worry, those thugs won't hurt anyone anymore."
The woman looked at the alley with resentment. Now that she was safe, she felt a strange anger toward those kinds of bastards. Allen didn't have to wait long before a horn honked from an armored truck.
Thor – How do you plan to deal with them? As expected, will you kill them?
Tony – Well, I guess their fate is a lifetime in jail.
Superman – I don't think you'll kill them, right?
Batman – ...
Allen smiled without answering immediately, then looked at the night sky. "It's night, my active hours are during the day, so I hired subordinates to help me regulate the bastards at night..."
The truck, driven by Nokotan with a false mustache, stopped in front of Allen. People, in general, were surprised to see this. Was the police carrying out an operation? If so, why wasn't the area cordoned off?
The answer would leave everyone speechless...
Nokotan and Rebecca got out of the armored vehicle, dressed in prison guard uniforms. Nokotan approached Allen while Rebecca opened the back door of the armored truck.
"Mr. Walker, just as you asked, we searched everywhere for suitable people to be your enforcers~"
"Oh, I hope I'm not disappointed."
...
(A/N: You are not prepared for what you are about to witness. 🍷🗿)
...
Allen nodded and soon the first of the executioners came down; he was a huge man with a square face; he was wearing a brown trench coat just that. Underneath, he was naked. He had a perverted look and was drooling with his piercing eyes, looking in all directions. The second one was equally muscular and huge; he still had an S&M suit that didn't let you see his face because of a black leather mask, and his breathing was disturbing. The third had the look of a dangerous psychopath as he stuck out his tongue and licked his lips, he had many scars on his body as well as some tattoos, which said things like "Only a man knows how to please another man," and "I will make you see a new world."
The Chat shivered...
Allen looked at the three men who seemed like they had stepped out of a documentary about the world's worst degenerates.
"They seem like decent people..." Allen said with an approving look, making everyone break out in a cold sweat. "Gentlemen, your duty is to enter that alley and get me my money... I mean, you have to teach these three a lesson, and while you're at it, get me my money..."
The three men looked at each other and nodded. The first one approached Allen, smiling flatteringly. "Mr. Walker, we'll need our tools..."
Rebecca stepped forward and handed Allen a list. He calmly looked at it, as did his Chat, which turned blue upon seeing what it said.
Allen nodded and waved his hand, causing some boxes to appear on the street. The men smiled and grabbed them before heading into the alley. There was silence for a moment.
"Wait... who are you guys? Wait, this guy's naked under the trench coat! Ahh! Get away from me with that bottle of lubricant!! Ahhh! Ahhh!"
The thugs' screams made people feel pity for their miserable fate, and their cries echoed through the alley.
Allen looked at the woman and urged her to leave. She seemed reluctant but had no choice when she saw the situation.
(Ten minutes later)
"Come on...don't move it will hurt more haha I changed my mind ~ fight more darling and shake my hips ~"
"Let me show you more new skills, I learned this from some friends in prison hehe~"
*Heavy breathing*
Muffled cries of pleading and desperation mingled with the watery and unpleasant sounds adorned with the laughter of three degenerates. Soon, the gyrations turned into pathetic pleas for someone to kill him once and for all, but by that time, Allen had already blocked out the sound, and no one could hear them.
(Half an hour later)
The man in the trench coat came out of the alley with a sweaty face, "Mr. Walker, can we get another box of lube?"
Allen nodded at the efforts of his enforcers; he waved his hand, and another box appeared; the man took it and quickly went inside.
"Wait, don't start the triple without me!"
Allen was touched, "Seeing men so committed to getting my money back has restored my faith in humanity."
There were also criminals in the chat, from the Marvel and The Boys worlds, where everyone could watch the live stream, they swore not to commit crimes while Allen was in their worlds, even if their lives depended on it, as the legend goes, since that day, every time Allen set foot in that world, crime had decreased by almost 90%, an unusual fact.
Then, an hour later, Allen received notifications of money transfers from the three thugs.
"It's amazing that they take an hour to pay..."
What Allen doesn't know is that the thugs wanted to pay from the first minute, but the three perverts wouldn't let them, and it was only when they ran out of lube for the third time that they let them crawl miserably to their phones.
"Tonight is a more peaceful night thanks to The Regulator..." Allen nodded proudly, "It's time to return"
Legend has it that these three thugs reformed, joined a monastery, changed their lives to become missionaries in Africa, and never committed the slightest crime again for fear of invoking the devil of fines.
Legend also has it that Cecil spit out his coffee when he saw the report of Allen's activities.
However, it did not matter that the world did not understand Allen's actions and labeled him a son of a bitch.... he would continue to regulate everyone while receiving their thanks in the form of voluntary tips and "fair" fines.
...
Back at his apartment, Allen relaxed in a large bathtub with 2B and Esdeath in his arms.
Esdeath smiled, "I was thinking maybe taking a kidney from them would have been a more merciful punishment~"
Allen lifted the chin of the girl with beautiful blue hair and kissed her. Her soft lips and sweet breath were addictive, but he managed to leave her for a moment, "Since when does my General Esdeath care about that?"
Esdeath blushed, being called "My General" but she didn't deny it.
"It's your fault I've gotten softer❤️~"
"Oh, I guess I'll have to take responsibility for that..." Allen was about to kiss Esdeath but he smiled as he felt the envy coming from his other arm where he hugged the beautiful blue-eyed albino girl.
"Master." She leaned back on his chest, unsatisfied; as a former android, she never prioritized herself over her master, but lately, she has become more greedy and sometimes shows desires to want more attention. Allen did not ignore her and also to the kiss.
"Tonight will be a long night..." whispered Allen making both women blush even more..."
