Chapter 18: Chapter 17 Nine-Tails, You’re Too Powerful! You Must Be Controlled
Senju Hashirama grabbed the Nine-Tails by the neck with one hand, his expression serious.
Kurama thrashed violently, but despite his immense strength, he found himself powerless.
"I'll—! You damn humans, always—!"
Ignoring the fox's curses, Hashirama quickly formed hand seals, utilizing the sealing techniques he had learned from the Uzumaki Clan. Without giving Kurama a chance to resist further, he sealed him away.
Inside the seal, Kurama fumed.
*"Damn it! I was just sleeping peacefully in the forest, and then some red-eyed bastard shows up, mutters something about me being strong, and immediately puts me under genjutsu! Next thing I know, I wake up to get beaten senseless! And just when I thought it was over, another human shows up, babbling about my power before slamming me into the ground and sealing me away! Is this what humans are like now? Is this why I'm considered strong?! Damn it all!"*
Kurama slumped within the seal, defeated. He didn't even bother struggling anymore.
Seeing the massive beast now contained within the sealing vessel, Hashirama smiled warmly, like a satisfied farmer after a long day's work. He then pulled out a map.
*"One-Tail is under Sunagakure's control. Seven-Tails was captured by Takigakure. That leaves six more tailed beasts. Looks like I'll have to travel again."*
The battle with Madara had taken a toll on his body. He could feel his strength declining. *"I have to establish the balance of the Five Great Shinobi Villages soon. If I don't, my body might not last long enough to see it happen."*
With his thoughts clear, Hashirama picked up the sealed container and returned to the village.
---
"I'm home."
As soon as Hashirama stepped into the house, a warm and gentle voice greeted him.
"Welcome back, dear. Dinner is ready," Uzumaki Mito said, taking his coat and hanging it up before heading to the kitchen to bring out a hot meal.
As they ate together, Mito glanced at the sealed container, using her Kagura Mind's Eye to examine it.
"Hashirama, this sealing vessel feels fragile. If Kurama struggles a little harder, he could break free."
Hashirama sighed, rubbing his head in frustration. "I know. This is the best vessel we have, but even so, it's not enough."
Mito set her chopsticks down, deep in thought. After a moment, a knowing smile appeared on her lips.
"I can seal him within myself."
Hashirama blinked in surprise.
Mito continued, "The Uzumaki Clan is known for its strong life force, and our sealing techniques can restrain tailed beasts. If I become Kurama's jinchūriki, we won't have to worry about him escaping."
Kurama, who had been pretending to be unconscious, instantly panicked. He had planned to bide his time and escape when this foolish man left to capture the other tailed beasts. But now, this woman wanted to seal him inside her body?!
*"No way in hell!"*
The sealing vessel shook violently as Kurama resisted with all his might. It looked like it could shatter at any moment.
"Be quiet."
Mito's voice was gentle, but it carried a commanding presence. In an instant, glowing golden chains shot from her back—Adamantine Sealing Chains. They pierced into the vessel, wrapping tightly around Kurama, binding him completely. With practiced ease, Mito swung the chains, slamming the fox around like a misbehaving child.
Hashirama winced. *"Yeah… I'd better not say anything. She's scarier than I am."*
Kurama's mind was in turmoil.
*"I knew that man was strong—he could pin me down and beat me senseless. But I didn't expect this woman to be even worse! She's hanging me up and whipping me like a misbehaving brat! Damn it! If I had a choice, I'd go back to being a wild fox playing in the forest! If I could set a time limit on this suffering, I'd want it to last no more than one year!"*
As the container finally stopped shaking, Hashirama quickly intervened before his wife could continue her "lesson."
Mito huffed and withdrew her chains, smoothing her hair with both hands as she returned to her usual gentle demeanor.
---
"Honey, I'll be leaving for a while in a few days," Hashirama said after finishing his meal.
Mito's gaze softened. "So soon? How long will you be gone this time?"
She looked at him with a hint of reluctance, but inwardly, she had already made up her mind.
*"No. I'm not letting him leave just yet."*
With a smile, she extended her chains again, this time wrapping them around Hashirama himself. Before he could react, he was tightly bound.
"Eh?! W-Wait, Mito! Let me go!"
Mito stood up and stretched, her graceful figure illuminated by the warm light of the room.
"Hmm? What do you think?" she asked with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Hashirama's face turned pale. He stopped struggling, resigning himself to his fate.
Thus, the two "walked" into the bedroom together—except Hashirama was being dragged. The so-called "God of Shinobi" was utterly powerless in this situation.
---
A few days later, Hashirama finally set off.
He stood tall and imposing as he walked through Konoha's gates—if one ignored his trembling legs and the occasional hand rubbing his lower back.
"Husband! Come back soon!" Mito waved at him with a radiant smile.
Watching Hashirama disappear into the distance, she turned around, humming a cheerful tune as she made her way home.
*"Now, time to play with my dear little fox~."*
Kurama: *"Stay away from me, you demon woman!"*
---
Elsewhere in the village, a young boy was wandering the streets.
Shimura Danzo spotted Uzumaki Mito and immediately ran toward her.
"Mito-sama!"
"Oh? Little Danzo!" Mito bent down and ruffled his hair. "You've grown so much! It's only been a few months, and you're already this tall."
The boy beamed at the compliment before hesitating.
"Mito-sama… I heard that Hashirama-sama captured the Nine-Tails. Is that true?"
Mito nodded with a gentle smile.
"Can I see it?"
Seeing no harm in it, and detecting no ill intent from him with her sensory abilities, she agreed.
"Of course."
With that, she led Danzo back to the Senju compound.
As soon as they entered the yard, Danzo felt an overwhelming, oppressive chakra. He could tell it was struggling fiercely—yet something was suppressing it completely.
*"Damn it! Why is that woman back so soon?!"* Kurama cursed internally.
"Come, let's take a closer look," Mito said, taking Danzo's hand and guiding him into the inner sealing space.
A moment later, they found themselves inside a massive sewer. Behind a large, worn-down gate, the Nine-Tails glared at them, eyes wide with fear.
"You're not behaving," Mito chided gently.
Kurama's fur stood on end.
*"I haven't even escaped yet! Why does she already look like she's about to beat me again?!"*
He curled up, covering his face with his paws. "Please, not the face…"
Danzo, watching the legendary beast cower like a scolded puppy, was utterly bewildered.
"Mito-sama… the Nine-Tails seems terrified of you."
Mito smiled innocently. "Oh, it's probably just not used to the environment."
Kurama: *"Lies! You're lying to a child!"*
Danzo turned to examine the seals.
"Are you interested in sealing techniques?" Mito asked.
Danzo hesitated before nodding. "Yes… I am."
Mito smiled knowingly. "Then… how about I arrange for you to study in Uzushiogakure?"
Danzo's eyes widened in excitement. "Really? Thank you, Mito-sama!"
Kurama watched in horror. *"Damn it, another problem child!"*
Mito's smile deepened. *"A good investment for the future~."*
Kurama: *"I want a refund on my life!"*
