I Conquered the World of Dragon Ball

Chapter 11: Research (11)

"H-How is this even possible!?"

I thoroughly enjoyed Staff Officer Black's exasperated expressions, utter wonder and befuddlement going back and forth on his face. He was the Head Strategist of the Red Ribbon Army, responsible for handling logistics and sharing intel between different Generals and Departments.

Needless to say, he had little to no idea how Ki functioned or what was even possible when it was mastered.

This was precisely why his mind was utterly shattered when I shared some of my Ki with him, his physical body ballooning as decades worth of strength and conditioning training occurred instantaneously.

And as if that wasn't enough, he could freely fly by exerting his will, his intelligent mind sharpened to the point where his will could carry him when applied.

I did help him a little with my Telekinesis though.

"I thought the Red Ribbon Army had already discovered Ki?" I asked.

General White, as a student of Master Mutaito, was a semi-competent Martial Artist by human standards, his relative feats of strength only explainable with Ki.

"A-As far as we're aware, Ki is just an energy source, one that coincidentally strengthens organic material," Black confessed truthfully. "W-We had no idea it could be harnessed in such a way"

I smiled faintly.

"I guess I'll have to get you guys up to speed"

Teaching Earthlings Ki Control was definitely on my to-do list. Even if they didn't become full-on fighters, their quality of life would massively increase. And since I had a monopoly on knowledge, teaching them would be extremely profitable.

"Yes sir, M-Mr Guardian, S-Sir"

'My Ki has changed'

My symmetrical bangs fluttered in the air as my mind drifted into a state of pseudo-meditation, the weight of my thoughts growing to the size where a mere daydream was equal to what felt like hours of contemplation.

Blending Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego together wasn't as difficult as it initially seemed, despite the apparent contradiction between them.

To use an analogy, Ultra Ego was like a roaring flame that burned in the innermost parts of the soul, provoking the desire to destroy and annihilate. Ultra Instinct, on the other hand, was like a cool breeze that chilled the innermost parts, provoking the desire to survive and preserve.

While it was possible for a cold wind to extinguish a roaring flame, it was also possible for wind to fan the flames of the fire, ultimately resulting in a larger flame, albeit at a lower temperature.

The emerging state of expanding flames was exactly what my Ultra Form was like, the power of both elements merging and amplifying each other.

'My emotions are also intact'

Countless combined hours of training had hammered away at any fluctuations in my emotional state. My innate personality gave a little supremacy to the Ultra Instinct side but the full destructive capabilities of Ultra Ego were also preserved in the transformation.

'The only downside is that I can't fully lose myself'

Fortunately or unfortunately, the most explosive power gains were made when the mind was fully sold out to either the Doctrine of Destruction or Preservation, the delicate balancing act I had concocted, sort of stagnating my progress.

'Although that's not necessarily a bad thing'

I felt like flexing, the urge to enter my Ultra Form like scratching an itch.

Officer Black came to a screeching halt, his heart dropping as he sensed something in the environment was changing. Since some of my Ki was inside him, he could trace the energy radiating around me, discerning the monumental increase in density.

Only a small shockwave echoed out as I transformed, my hair turning silver, a tinge of purple coloring it while darker purple hues colored the edges of my aura.

'It's not seamless yet'

A sharp exhale escaped my lips, the stress on my body just enough to irritate me. A wicked vein throbbed on my forehead, a few more appearing on my biceps, forearms, thighs and calves. My regeneration was then stimulated, any signs of strain disappearing as my body entered a higher gear.

'Results take time'

Before Officer Black could wet himself, I used Time Skip, my dark purple aura momentarily expanding, darkening the sky with purple energy.

WHOOOOOSH!

Faster than he could perceive, I moved behind him, the sound barrier breaking as I put my hand on his back.

WHOOOOOSH!

I saved us a little time, immediately moving to the airspace directly above Red Ribbon Research Headquarters.

The base itself was magnificently constructed, large light-red brick walls built high around the perimeter of the compound, a massive gate with the organization logo at the front. A series of rounded and circular structures sat beside each other cozily, their futuristic architecture something out of West City, completely unlike the rural settlements of the Sacred Land of Korin, red white and blue painted smoothly together.

WHOOOOOSH!

'Time Skip is so fun'

I smiled as Officer Black blinked and found himself on the ground, stumbling dizzy as his brain slowly made sense of the strange change in atmosphere.

I looked up and caught our afterimages fading, light operating a little too slowly.

BEEP BEEP! BEEP BEEP! BOOP!

A number of weird-looking robots flocked to us, reacting agitatedly to my presence before calming down when they scanned Officer Black, seemingly de-activating.

Dark purple lightning crackled around my hair as I put my guard up, a skin-thick aura radiating powerfully from me.

"Let's go"

"Y-Yes Sir!"

------------

(Red Ribbon Research Headquarters, Conference Room - 15 Minutes Later)

"I-If I understand correctly, y-you captured all the former leaders of the Red Ribbon Army?" Dr Gero croaked.

"That's correct," I responded, pointing to the three ominous floating orbs containing each of them, beside the Conference Table.

"And you captured them for the purpose of acquiring our Research Team?" Dr Wheelo asked.

"Precisely, I recognize both of your outstanding work when it comes to Cybernetics and Robotics and I firmly believe that under my management, the whole Earth can be revolutionized"

The pair of scientists fell silent, beads of sweat dripping down their faces.

"W-With all due respect, G-Guardian, h-how will you provide the resources we need for our research?" Dr Gero asked sincerely.

"W-We're not really attached to Commander Red, b-but he was the primary source of our funding and materials," Dr Wheelo added.

"I'm glad you asked," I said, standing up. "Although I appear to be human, I'm actually an alien and my race has a special ability," I explained.

I applied my concentration and placed my palm on the Conference Table, light-purple energy rapidly spreading across its surface and eventually engulfing it.

WHOOOOMFFFF!

Dr Gero and Dr Wheelo both gasped audibly as the Conference Table was transformed into solid gold, its surface glistening under the overhead lights.

They were immediately rendered speechless, touching and knocking the golden table, the result so far away from what they had anticipated.

"Through this application of Ki, Transmutation, I can turn mere rocks to whatever resources you require and if necessary, I can create gold which can be sold to purchase whatever you may need"

I smiled involuntarily as I spoke. In the Time Chamber, I had an epiphany where I realized I would never have to work a day in my life ever again, if I could leverage my Transmutation ability into turning items to gold.

Since Transmutation was dependent on my emotions, I nurtured this desire over time, eventually building it up to the point where I could actually execute it.

Dr Wheelo and Dr Gero breathed a sigh of relief, their expressions changing as they realized I wasn't some crazy meathead.

"G-Given that this is the case, I personally have no qualms working with you," Dr Gero quickly confessed.

"I as well," Dr Wheelo chimed, speaking honestly.

"Perfect, in addition to this, I also request the immediate construction of a Red Ribbon Army Research Base inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber," I added.

"A-As you wish sir," Dr Gero quickly agreed.

I exhaled gently leaning back in my chair.

"I apologize for the tone of my arrival but the scale of progress that can be made with both your research is simply too wide," I explained.

"In addition to whatever pre-existing projects you're running, I want to commission the development of powerful multi-purpose robots that can assist in a swift and decisive takeover of the World Government, infrastructure robots that can rapidly build and develop vast areas as well as specialized Combat Androids that are armed with peak-human intelligence and Martial Arts," I commanded.

"Yes Sir!" Dr Gero and Dr Wheelo said emphatically, taking my words to heart.

I looked at the pair of them.

Just like in the canon, Dr Gero mechanized himself, although with the help of Dr Wheelo, he did so far faster than he ever could have dreamed in the story. The result was that he was a full-fledged Android, having the same attire as his canon counterpart, extremely younger.

Dr Wheelo had resisted Dr Gero's requests to mechanize him, still a full-fledged human, with notable white hair and a weathered expression, a small cane still needed for him to get around.

Both of them were largely fearful of me but seemingly understood that I didn't plan to harm them, their knowledge and skills too valuable to be casually tossed away like the higher-ups of the army.

I used Telepathy.

'This is a strange but fortunate development, I never really wanted to make War Robots anyway, this will give me the freedom to move towards my actual goal, attaining immortality through machinery'

'With his Transmutation ability, I can finally get my hands on some resources that have been painfully low in supply, if this Alien creature can truly be trusted, I can make massive breakthroughs'

I let out another sigh of relief, discerning that they weren't secretly plotting evil against me.

"Would you prefer that I personally dispose of Commander Red and his Generals? Or should I leave them in you care?"

I suppressed a laugh as I realized how terrible my words sounded, not intended to be a veiled threat towards the scientists. Nevertheless, they nodded fearfully.

"Y-You can leave them in our care!"

"W-We will hand them over to the appropriate authorities!"

"Excellent"

PYUUU! PYUUU!!! PYUUU! PYUUU!!!

I spammed Instant Transmission, teleporting to where I had left the Lookout and bringing it to the airspace above the Red Ribbon Army Research Base. I then teleported back into the Conference Room and grabbed the pair of scientists, forcefully bringing them onto the Lookout.

Dr Gero quickly gained his balance while Dr Wheelo stumbled and fell, relying on his cane.

"H-How-"

"In due time, you'll understand how to use some of these Ki techniques but for the time being, I ask that you focus on my requests," I said, cutting him off.

Dr Gero gulped as he swallowed his words, a fresh layer of fear added to me in their eyes.

Dr Wheelo eventually scrambled to his feet, the pair of scientists beholding the Lookout and quickly realizing that everything I said was in fact true, as difficult as it was to believe.

"I-If you don't m-mind me asking, wh-who are you?" Dr Gero finally asked.

I smiled and faced him, folding my arms.

"I am Kaza, a Majin that was born on this planet and the current Guardian of Earth," I declared emphatically.

Dr Gero frowned my answer only provoking more questions in his mind but he was too afraid to ask me.

'I don't want to lead by fear'

PYUUU!

"We can talk as we move, while I help with your inventory problem, feel free to ask questions," I said, taking us back to the Conference Room.
