Chapter 10: Staff Officer Black (10)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
'They also had the same idea'
A wave of cold air blew my spiky hair back as I arrived at Muscle Tower. It was a large brick building with several cannons mounted onto its surface, the only structure in sight across the cold, snowy terrain.
"He's not even fighting back anymore!"
"I honestly kind of fee bad"
"He was the one that chose violence"
More importantly though, my clones were outside the building, tossing General White around like he was a beach ball.
Unlike Commander Red, General White was purely human, his lore re-written so that he was a former student of Master Mutaito, hired by Red to teach the Red Ribbon Army Ki and Martial Arts.
'The Research Team has probably downloaded all they can from him'
My clones turned to face me, a familiar look of surprise flashing on their faces as they beheld me.
"It's too long to explain, let's just fuse," I said with a smile, speaking quickly.
Both of them nodded, an instinctive obedience overcoming them. The clone further away jumped up and spiked General White into the snow, his form invisible from the surface.
'I think I can do it from range'
By now, I had gotten the hang of Remote Fusion or, more accurately, Ki Absorption. With a hint of concentration and a thought, their bodies de-stabilized into fluid Ki, becoming orbs that I absorbed.
General White slowly emerged out a hole in the snow, his face battered.
'Poor thing'
"I-"
"Y-You!!! You W-Worthless monkey! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" he swore at me, flying straight in my direction.
I frowned.
If my race were to be classified, I was a Majin, as my genetics indistinguishable from an extremely high potential Majin who had absorbed Broly, Beerus, Baby and Janemba. Over the course of my training, however, my Saiyan characteristics had become increasingly observable, my hair looking exactly like theirs.
But I didn't have a tail.
This meant that the only reason this old man had to call me a monkey, was because of my skin color.
'I can just skip a step'
BANG!
My eyes widened and a weak Instinct Punch ruthlessly slammed into his face, the force of my Ki condensed into a streamlined gravity beam, his nose shattering and blood splattering all over the snow.
He immediately slumped, his back stretched out on the ground, knocked out.
My heavy feet sunk down into the snow as I walked towards him, his eyes rolled back and his mouth wide opened.
I stretched my palm out.
"Time Lag"
My Ki flared over his unconscious body, light purple energy emanating as his breathing came to a screeching halt.
'I think that's all the big shots'
PYUUU!
A light purple energy sphere, identical to the orbs trapping General Blue and Commander Red appeared around General White, three orbs floating together as I used Instant Transmission once more.
'Man, it pays to be a strong!'
To be honest, it was a little scared.
It wasn't beyond my notice how much raw power and supernatural capabilities lingered in my grasp, the feeling intoxicating. Obviously I had earned it, and it was predictable with all the tools and resources I had at my disposal but it didn't make it any less crazy.
'This is too awesome'
PYUUUU!!!
I teleported to a wide hilly grassland, near Mt Paozu, a weak herbal scent filling my nostrils. The air here was much warmer, feeling nice against my skin, soft dirt crunching beneath me as I hit the ground.
A large number of Red Ribbon Army Soldiers were kneeling down in a square formation, one of my clones talking to the group. Not too far away, there were a number of upside down Jeeps, helicopters and tanks, stacked on top of each other like toys. On the other side of the vehicle wall, one of my clones was talking to Staff Officer Black, the Head Red Ribbon Army Strategist.
He was stripped down to his underwear, his clothes in a neat pile by his side.
"Oh? So West City is the next short-term focus?"
"That's exactly correct, Commander Red's primary goal is to either destroy or absorb Capsule Corp, as far as he is concerned, they're the only threat standing in our way"
"What about the armies of the World Government?"
"Capsule Corp technology is what supports them, without them the World Government would have fallen long ago"
I couldn't help but laugh as Staff Officer Black dutifully reported all the interior workings of the Red Ribbon Army, scared senseless. The clone by the soldiers teleported onto the Lookout, baffled.
"Don't tell me Kami made you Guardian already," he said, looking at the emptied Lookout. "What the-!!!" he said, spotting the captured officers.
"I've been a little active since leaving the Chamber," I explained. "What's going on here?"
He threw his hands up in the air.
"They just gave up! When we started knocking them out of their vehicles and throwing them upside down, they didn't want to fight anymore," he said, as though he couldn't understand.
The Red Ribbon Army soldiers on the ground stared up at the Lookout, able to hear the conversation from below.
"There's even more of him?!!!"
"I knew I shouldn't have come in to work today"
"I just hope those monsters don't kill us, I have a family!"
I had an idea, walking to the edge of the Lookout.
"I have an announcement to make," I shouted loudly. "You all have 60 seconds, if I cannot see you when that time is up, you survive, if I can still see you-", I raised my palm and released a small Ki orb into the air.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
"You all die!"
Their faces immediately turned white, some urinating on the spot. Straight away, they all fled with incredible urgency and vigor, so frightened that they didn't even make a sound.
I could sense their Ki spiking, adrenaline surging through their bodies as they hauled ass and scattered like rats, running swiftly away from the pair of us.
"I was trying to milk them for intel but they're just grunts, they don't know anything," my clone confessed.
I nodded, swiftly de-materializing him and absorbing him into my body.
'Ki Control is amazing'
I jumped off of the Lookout, flying down to where my clone was speaking with Officer Black.
"I'll take over from here," I announced.
Surprise flashed on his face as his body de-materialized, flowing into my form.
Staff Officer Black looked at me as though he was looking at a demon, an assessment which was technically accurate.
The memories of my clones flowed at the forefront of my mind, allowing me to keep up with the conversation.
"I'm not going to kill you," I said, innocently raising my hands up. "I want to work with you, specifically the Dr Gero and Dr Wheelo, as well as the other brilliant scientists within the Red Ribbon Army," I said firmly, stating my intentions.
He nodded obediently, apparently too terrified to speak.
'Finally, someone who will listen'
"I suppose I should get you up to speed," I said with a soft sigh.
I snapped my fingers, Commander Red, General Blue and General White appearing above me.
I could literally hear his heart thumping thunderously in his chest.
"They refused to co-operate with me but you seem to be wiser"
He nodded his head furiously.
"To make a long story short, I am the newly appointed Guardian of Earth and I want to exploit the human capital in the Red Ribbon Army to move the planet forward," I said swiftly.
He nodded.
"From this day forward, the Red Ribbon Army is disbanded and Earth Corps will replace it, a worldwide organization that fully exploits the robotic technology started by the Red Ribbon Army with the express purpose of raising material conditions and quality of life for Earthlings everywhere," I explained.
"In the short term, though, I want to develop robots that can assist in a forceful takeover of the world, not too far away from your current objective," I said, intentionally pausing.
He looked at me with rapt attention, his eyes darting back and forth between me and his captured superiors, realizing he couldn't take what I was saying lightly.
"We're going to head to Red Ribbon Research Headquarters right now and you're going to explain what I just said to them, if you do that, I promise you a good life," I concluded.
Staff Officer Black let out a long breath, his face exuding relief.
"Do you have any questions?"
He paused for a moment.
"C-C-Can I put my clothes back on?"
"No"
