Chapter 10.1
Stage 1-10. Time To Commit New Mischief
Reina Milfonty.
The top disciple of Frone Milfonty, and the promising hope who has served as the Student Council President of the Magic Academy since her first year.
She is highly anticipated by the public as a young leader of the next generation.
Her beautiful appearance, combined with her exceptional talent, has earned her the nickname “The Child Loved by God”… or so they say.
Seeing her in person is quite different from seeing her in photos.
I’ve focused on physical training to compensate for my lack of magic ability.
Bone structure, the use of each body part, the coordination of muscles—
I’ve studied all that to ensure I can always perform at my best.
So, I can tell, somehow Reina’s chest is disproportionately large for her frame—
“It’s embarrassing to be stared at so intently like that.”
“…!”
My gaze shifted downward instantly, she closed the distance between us.
I couldn’t see her move…!?
Even though she was in my line of sight…!
Not wanting to expose my agitation, I somehow managed to keep my composure and responded,
“I was just mesmerized, that’s all. Don’t worry about it.”
“Wow… haha, you’re quite smooth. No wonder you won Liche over.”
But then, she added,
“I would’ve liked it if you smiled a bit more when you said it. You seem stiff. A smile is best.”
Milfonty lifted my cheek slightly.
…Hmph, easy for you to say.
Who’s the one not smiling here?
I wonder how she’d react if I licked that finger.
“Thanks for the lesson.”
“I like an honest person.”
“We’re on the same page. So do I.”
Our eyes locked, and sparks flew.
A heavy silence followed. It was Mashiro, who had been left out, who broke it.
“Um… uh, fighting is not okay…!”
Mashiro pulled my arm, dragging me away from the Student Council President.
Thanks to being sandwiched between her breasts, I regained my composure.
That’s right. There’s no point in getting into it here.
I want to enjoy a leisurely life in this other world.
Now that she’s spoken to me, this is the perfect chance to build a connection.
If I make a good impression here, I’ll be less likely to be suspected if I commit any mischief in the future.
“Thank you, Mashiro. I’ve calmed down.”
“No problem. I’m glad to hear that.”
“President Milfonty, I apologize for our many rudenesses.”
“…No, don’t worry about it. I’m the head of the students at the Magic Academy. I’m glad to have this chance to interact with two promising newcomers.”
She forgives us with a smile.
“But, the fact remains that I must scold you. Why are you two here? This is class time, isn’t it?”
“Uh, um, well…”
“I was bored with the lesson, so I thought I’d spend my time more productively.”
“O-Ouga-kun!?”
Since she said she liked honest people, I was blunt.
Given my upbringing immersed in magical theory since childhood, boredom was inevitable.
“Haha. It might indeed be painful for you, Vellet-kun.”
“Didn’t you, President Milfonty, feel the same?”
“That’s a secret. But… how about this? How about a practical lesson, from me?”
“…!”
“Th-The President herself!?”
A lesson from her, the top disciple of ‘Frone of Thunder’.
Surely, she possesses techniques ingrained in her through countless years that I couldn’t even imagine.
This is an unexpected opportunity that I don’t know how much money could buy.
“Since you came to the practice hall, you must have been planning to practice magic, right? I don’t mind helping out for my cute juniors.”
She clapped her hands and tilted her head slightly.
“To be honest, I’ve been wanting to talk to you two for a while now, so this is perfect.”
The President took our hands.
Her small hands were stronger and rougher than I had expected.
“The timing is a bit earlier than planned… but I was going to approach you before long. Vellet-kun, who is the most knowledgeable among the freshmen, and Rieche-san, who has multiple magical aptitudes.”
