Chapter 15: Fire Spirit
Aiden and Tamamo were tending to the village, going about their daily tasks, when a piercing scream shattered the calm. They turned to see a group of knights from Elostia, led by Luu Luu, rushing toward them in sheer panic. Aiden's eyes widened in disbelief when he noticed burn marks on Luu Luu's armor, a troubling sight given her original blessing of invincibility.
"Everyone, run for your life!" Luu Luu shouted, her voice filled with urgency and fear.
Before Aiden could process the situation, a blast of fire erupted in the distance, illuminating the sky. Aiden's heart raced as he turned to see a fire spirit, its fiery aura radiating power and chaos.
Tamamo blinked in surprise. "Oh, that's Diablo!"
"Who?" Aiden asked, his brow furrowed as he struggled to keep up with the unfolding events.
"Diablo is a high spirit and one of the most powerful fire spirits," Tamamo explained, her voice steady despite the chaos. "He was once a great spirit serving Lucifer, who is one of the seven demon lords in the Neutral Area."
"Lore," Aiden muttered, still processing the information. "So, what's he doing here? Shouldn't he be somewhere else?"
Tamamo sighed, her ears twitching slightly. "High spirits often have their own agendas. Diablo might be drawn to the chaos or perhaps seeking something. Either way, we need to act fast before he wreaks more havoc."
Aiden nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "Then let's protect the village. We can't let him destroy everything we've built here."
Luu Luu and the knights finally caught up with them, panting and wide-eyed. "What do we do?" one of the knights asked, glancing nervously back at the approaching flames.
"Stay calm," Aiden said, trying to project confidence. "Tamamo, can you use your magic to contain the fire? I'll try to reason with Diablo."
"Are you crazy?" Luu Luu exclaimed, her eyes filled with disbelief. "He's not someone you can just talk to!"
"I know," Aiden replied, taking a deep breath. "But if he's here, there must be a reason. Maybe I can appeal to that."
As Diablo approached, flames flickering around him like a living entity, Aiden stepped forward. "Diablo!" he called out, his voice steady despite the heat radiating from the spirit. "What do you want here?"
The fire spirit paused, his glowing eyes locking onto Aiden. "You're bold for a mere slime," Diablo said, his voice a rumbling echo. "But boldness will not save you from the flames."
"Wait!" Aiden shouted, raising his hands in a gesture of peace. "We mean you no harm. We're just trying to protect our home."
Diablo laughed, a deep, booming sound that echoed through the village. "Protect your home? You're merely a collection of insignificant beings in the face of my power! I have come to bask in the chaos and destruction!"
"Then let's find another way!" Aiden replied, desperation creeping into his voice. "What if we can offer you something instead? Power? Knowledge?"
The fire spirit tilted his head, intrigued. "Knowledge, you say? What do you have to offer that I do not already possess?"
"I've traveled to many places and seen things you wouldn't believe," Aiden said, trying to keep the spirit's attention. "I can teach you about the other realms, the powers that lie beyond your understanding."
Diablo's flames flickered, the spirit considering Aiden's words. "Perhaps you have my interest. But I have no time for trivialities. You have one chance to prove your worth."
Aiden nodded, feeling the weight of the moment pressing down on him. "What do you want me to do?"
"Show me this knowledge of yours, slime," Diablo commanded, his eyes glinting with fiery intensity. "Prove that you are worthy to stand before a being of my caliber."
Tamamo, watching nervously from behind Aiden, whispered, "Be careful! He's testing you."
"I know," Aiden muttered back, taking a deep breath. "Just trust me."
As the tension in the air thickened, Aiden began to speak, weaving tales of the worlds beyond, of the gods, demons, and spirits that shaped existence. He described the potential alliances, the powers yet undiscovered, and the dangers that lurked in the shadows.
Diablo listened intently, the flames surrounding him pulsing in rhythm with Aiden's words. Aiden could feel the spirit's interest growing, the flames around them flickering less aggressively.
"And why would I care about the trivial squabbles of your world?" Diablo challenged, though his voice lacked the earlier hostility.
"Because knowledge is power," Aiden replied, his voice steady. "By understanding the forces at play in this realm and beyond, you can position yourself not just as a mere spirit, but as a ruler among the flames. You can wield your power to command respect rather than fear."
Diablo paused, the flames around him dancing softly as if contemplating Aiden's proposition. "And what if I refuse? What if I wish to burn this village to ash?"
"Then you lose the opportunity to grow," Aiden replied, his gaze unwavering. "You could be a god among spirits, but if you choose destruction, you'll remain a mere force of nature, feared but never respected."
The fire spirit's fiery aura flickered uncertainly, and for a moment, Aiden thought he saw the hint of curiosity in Diablo's eyes. "You speak well for a slime," Diablo admitted. "Perhaps there is merit to your words."
As tension hung in the air, Aiden could feel the knights behind him watching intently. He had taken a dangerous gamble, and now it was up to Diablo to decide whether to accept or reject the path Aiden had laid before him.
"Very well," Diablo finally said, his voice low and contemplative. "I shall spare this village for now. But know this: should you waste my time, the flames will come for you and your home."
With that, the spirit began to recede, the fiery aura around him dimming as he stepped back. "We will meet again, slime. You have piqued my interest."
As Diablo vanished into the distance, Aiden let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. The village was safe, at least for now.
"Are you crazy?!" Luu Luu exclaimed, rushing to Aiden. "You just negotiated with a fire spirit! That could have gone so badly!"
"I know," Aiden replied, shaking slightly. "But it worked, didn't it?"
Tamamo approached, her expression a mix of relief and admiration. "You were incredible, Aiden. I didn't think you'd manage to turn him around."
"I just hope he doesn't come back anytime soon," Aiden said, glancing toward where Diablo had disappeared. "We need to prepare, just in case."
As the villagers began to regroup, Aiden felt a sense of accomplishment swell within him. He had faced a powerful spirit and lived to tell the tale, and maybe—just maybe—he was beginning to understand his role in this world.
"Let's get back to work," Aiden said, turning to Tamamo and Luu Luu. "We have a village to protect and a future to build."
And as they returned to their tasks, Aiden knew that his journey was only just beginning. The challenges ahead would be daunting, but he was determined to rise to the occasion, no matter what fires awaited him.
Luu Luu then looked at Aiden. "Hey are you Aiden"
Aiden looked at her, knowing that's she was defently going to look for him. "Yes why?".
Luu Luu looked at him, her tail moved and her eyes sparkles. "So you are the slime that made Calibur, teach me how you made it"
Aiden looked ga her and sighed. "Alright but why Diablo Chasing you and your Knight".
Luu Luu went chipes as she spoke. "Will I found a cave and will um, I wanted to get some new thing to make my weapon every and all typed of weapon, I wanted to make something new... I didn't know it was Diablo home".
Aiden blinked and he just had a headache, why simple he knew what Luu Luu character was in the original World of Kuroinu she a good demi humans, with a bit selfish and a
Buildoholic, but.... A brat, but a good leader, Right now he was looking at her.
Aiden just looked Lightning charging in his body, he knew she will survives this. "Black Lighting"
Luu Luu eyes widented in fear. "Ahhhhhhhh"
Then the little Demi Human was struck down By a whole lot of Lightning, will it was enough to kill a few monster, but thank to thr princes knigh bless she was... 'Fine'
Luu Luu looked up at Aiden, her eyes wide and shimmering with a mix of fear and awe. "What was that for?!" she exclaimed, her tail twitching nervously as she brushed herself off.
Aiden crossed his arms, a serious expression on his face. "You don't understand the danger you put yourself in, do you? Wandering into Diablo's territory just to find materials for weapons? That's reckless!"
Luu Luu pouted, her cheeks puffing out adorably. "But I wanted to be stronger! I thought maybe I could make something that could rival Calibur! I didn't mean to invade his home."
Aiden sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I get that, but there are better ways to go about it than provoking a high spirit. You could have been hurt—worse, you could have led him here."
Tamamo, who had been observing the exchange with a bemused expression, stepped in. "Luu Luu, you must be more careful. Strength is important, but so is strategy. You need to think before you act."
"Yeah, yeah, I get it!" Luu Luu grumbled, her playful demeanor faltering slightly. "But you can't blame me for wanting to improve! I just wanted to surprise you both with a new weapon!"
Aiden softened a bit at her enthusiasm. "I admire your ambition, really. But you have to be smarter about it. Next time, let someone know where you're going. That's part of being a good leader—keeping your team safe."
Luu Luu nodded slowly, her tail drooping slightly. "Okay, okay, I'll be more careful. But can you at least teach me how to make weapons like Calibur?"
Aiden glanced at her, weighing his options. "Fine, but only if you promise to listen and follow my instructions. We're going to need materials, and I can't have you getting into trouble again."
Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she clapped her hands together. "Yes! I promise! I'll follow your lead!"
"Alright," Aiden replied, a small smile creeping onto his face. "Let's get started then. But first, tell me exactly what you're looking for in a new weapon."
Luu Luu thought for a moment, her expression turning serious. "I want something versatile, like a hybrid weapon that can transform between different forms—maybe a sword, spear, or even a shield. Something that can adapt to any situation."
"Interesting," Aiden said, nodding as he considered her request. "We can work on that. I'll show you how to channel your mana effectively to create the weapon you envision. But remember, it's not just about the weapon's form; it's about how you wield it."
Luu Luu beamed at him, her earlier fear forgotten. "I won't let you down, Aiden! I'll become the best warrior!"
"Good, then let's get to work," Aiden said, motioning for her to follow him. They headed toward the village's crafting area, where various materials were gathered for smithing and enchantments.
As they walked, Tamamo fell into step beside Aiden. "You're quite patient with her," she remarked, her ears twitching with amusement. "Most would have given up on someone like Luu Luu by now."
Aiden chuckled softly. "I see potential in her, even if she can be a bit impulsive. I was like that once, too, before I learned the hard way."
They arrived at a table strewn with tools, ores, and other crafting materials. Aiden began sorting through them, selecting the best options. "Alright, Luu Luu, first we need to gather some mana-infused materials. You'll need high-quality ore to create the core of your weapon."
Luu Luu watched eagerly as Aiden demonstrated how to channel mana into the materials, causing them to glow with power. "You make it look so easy!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with admiration.
Aiden shrugged, focusing on the task at hand. "It takes practice. Just follow my lead, and you'll get the hang of it."
As they worked together, Luu Luu's earlier enthusiasm returned, and she quickly began to pick up the techniques Aiden showed her. They spent the next few hours crafting, with Aiden guiding her through each step and offering tips along the way.
"Now, remember to concentrate," Aiden instructed as he helped her shape the ore. "Feel the energy flowing through you and into the weapon."
Luu Luu nodded, her face determined as she poured her mana into the ore. The metal began to shimmer, gradually taking on the form of a sleek blade. Aiden watched with satisfaction as her vision started to materialize before their eyes.
"I can feel it! It's coming together!" Luu Luu shouted, her voice filled with excitement.
"That's it! Keep focusing!" Aiden encouraged, a smile forming on his face as he saw the weapon take shape.
Finally, after several attempts and adjustments, Luu Luu stepped back to admire her handiwork—a beautifully crafted hybrid weapon that transformed between a sword and a spear with a simple flick of the wrist.
"I did it! I really did it!" she cheered, her tail wagging with excitement.
Aiden grinned, proud of her achievement. "Great job, Luu Luu! You've got talent; just remember to be smart about how you use it."
Luu Luu nodded vigorously, her enthusiasm infectious. "Thank you so much for teaching me! I can't wait to show everyone!"
As they wrapped up their crafting session, Aiden felt a sense of accomplishment not just for Luu Luu's progress but for the bond they were building as a team. The challenges they faced were only going to grow, but together, they could handle whatever came their way.
"Let's head back," Aiden suggested, gathering the tools. "I think the village could use a little celebration after today's events."
"Good idea!" Tamamo chimed in. "We can make it a village gathering to lift everyone's spirits!"
With that, they headed back to the village, ready to share their victory and newfound strength with their friends. Aiden knew that challenges were bound to come, but with allies like Tamamo and Luu Luu by his side, he felt more prepared than ever to face whatever the world threw at them.
