I Became A Squirrel Seeking For The Villain

Chapter 6

“Aaaah!”

The maid just sat down, Yohan was free in an instant.

It was easy to judge the situation afterward. Without hesitation, John panting and began to run toward the tower.

‘Let’s quickly go back to the tower before Tezen comes!’

Tezen never climbed the tower because it was too hard.

And unless Tezen himself comes, the servants cannot touch him directly.

Even in this state, he was the eldest son of the Duke of Hyrad.

After all, he was a wizard, and ordinary people did not dare to touch him for fear of a magical explosion.

But now they had some excuse like a doctor’s recommendation to treat Yohan carelessly.

“Young master, where are you going!”

As he staggered towards the tower, a servant noticed him and quickly ran over to him.

“The doctor told you to take a walk on a rainy day!”

If things continued like this, it was obvious that he would be caught by another servant.

‘Damn it!’

It was when Yohan gasped for breath and clenched his fists.

Again, an acorn flew in from somewhere and hit the servant right in the eye.

“Ouch! What the hell!”

Yohan ran to the tower in a hurry and locked the door.

He’d have to eat, even if he was a beggar, so he would open it when the rain stopped.

He collapsed in the tower, gasping for breath.

A terrible walk on a rainy day ended early. He didn’t even encounter Tezen.

And he saw the acorn rolling around after being hit squarely in the servant’s eye again.

“Acorn…”

Yohan sat there for a while, thinking about the squirrel that offered him an acorn.

It was a gift full of kindness that the squirrel gave him at the first meeting.

Now it was clear.

A squirrel who only wanted to become a human would not have done that.

He had an ally in the duke’s mansion.

Having subdued the maid and servant who had been harassing Yohan with acorns, I clapped my hands on the tree.

‘Oh my god, I am talented.’

The acorns were not a great weapon, so I aimed for the weakest eye and hit it hard.

I didn’t know I had such a great talent for throwing them.

‘Is this a squirrel’s talent? Or the power of the divine beast? I didn’t have this talent in my previous life. Even the shooting range is very large!’

If I have this level of throwing talent, I could be a national shot put representative.

Hiding in the trees, I watched Yohan scramble into the tower. I sighed and felt relieved.

The tower’s door can be locked, so Yohan can keep anyone out for a while.

Ella didn’t bully for no reason, anyway.

She was only doing it because it was the doctor’s recommendation.

She wanted to be seen as a rational, logical person running a ducal mansion.

She’s a pretty competent villain who cares about appearances and thinks in terms of the many possible outcomes.

But she missed two things.

That Yohann Hyrad was a better wizard than she thought, and that Duke Hyrad would die sooner than she expected.

‘And she shouldn’t leave the original danger behind. No matter how much she doesn’t want Tezen on the battlefield.’

I was lost in thought, recalling the original story.

‘If I became a noble lady instead of a squirrel…I’m confident in using my brain, so it’s a shame.’

And because I became of the divine beast, Ella was unaware of another variable.

Yohan is recovering day by day because of me.

Of course, how much he will recover and how it will change the original story is none of my business.

‘I have to start by being human. Anyway, I’ll have to make a fuss if I see Yohan tonight…’

It was when I was slowly about to return to Tezen’s room.

Tezen arrived at the garden carrying a bucket full of water.

Apparently, he was planning to dump the bucket of water on Yohan and then say something mean like, “Brother, you need more water!”

“What! What happened?”

John shouted in annoyance at the maid, who was still trying to figure out what she had been hit with.

“That, that is….he went back into the tower while I was away for a moment….”

“He went back to the tower? No, how on earth did I miss it!”

He was so angry that he couldn’t control his temper and poured the water he had brought in a bucket on the maid.

The maid sat down shivering in the cold.

‘Wow, what kind of personality does he have…..’

Obviously, the villain in the original story was Yohan.

A crazy and obsessive man who turns the peaceful lives of the female and male lead upside down, a manipulative villain whose schemes are designed to ruin the love of others.

But now, in my opinion, the people around Yohan were much more villainous.

It is heartbreaking to see the background of John’s growth, which was not properly described in the original story.

I can’t help but think worse of Tezen and Ella than Yohan, who would later do more evil things.

John hadn’t done anything bad yet, and I hadn’t seen his evil deeds with my own eyes.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”

Tezen’s cruelty towards the maid continued. I couldn’t stand it anymore, so I picked up an acorn again for a true lesson.

“Stop it, Tezen.”

Ella, who usually doesn’t get involved in things like that, slowly walked over.

“But, I finally have a great toy, but they are neglecting to take care of it—”

“What do you mean a great toy, Tezen?”

Ella elegantly placed her hand on Tezen’s shoulder.

I quietly held my breath and eavesdropped on their conversation, wondering if Ella went into character education.

“I guess you wanted to help your brother with his treatment.”

“Oh, yes! I wanted to help my brother heal more.”

That kid has that mom. No, it was worse because she was an adult.

After all, Tezen had a bad upbringing.

“Your brother ran away because he had a short fuse. Just bear with it for now. We have an important guest coming tomorrow, so I don’t want the duke’s mansion to be noisy.”

Ella comforted Tezen with a voice that was almost affectionate.

“I’ll call for Yohan then since you’re so sad you didn’t get to see your brother today.”

I hugged the acorn and blinked. I didn’t know what it was, but it couldn’t be good for John.

Ella added with a deep smile.

“Then wouldn’t it be more fun to be with your brother than today?”

“Tomorrow’s guest…the Duchess of Medes and her daughter, right?”

Tezen’s eyes sparkled and shone.

“Ah, It would be fun.”

When I heard them say ‘the Duchess of Medes and her daughter’, I almost dropped the acorn I was holding.

‘Oh my god, It’s a female lead.’

According to the original story, the heroine, Mariel Medes, does not meet Yohan now.

But because I intervened in the story, the two will meet.

Today, because Yohan was not bullied by Tezen, the humiliation that Ella felt increased

I sighed with a serious look on my face.

‘It’s obvious. She wants to embarrass Yohan in front of everyone.’

The Duke of Medes was a prestigious family comparable to the Duke of Hyrad.

So Ella wanted to embarrass Johann by making him look miserable.

If it was the original story, when Yohan returns from war, Mariel sees him for the first time.

He is recognized by everyone as a war hero and is easily given the title of Duke of Hyrad. Yet Mariel doesn’t love him at all.

Now that he will be showing his poor appearance, it is even more unlikely for Yohan.

I shrugged and rolled my eyes, ‘What does it matter, I’m sure Mariel will already know the male protagonist and build it up step by step…’

Anyway, Yohan’s love is ruined, so what did it matter if it happened a little sooner?

When I’m cynically judging the situation, Ella and Tezen’s affectionate conversation continues.

“Yes, my dear son.”

Ella stroked Tezen’s hair and spoke gently.

“Tomorrow, we’ll show the people of Duke Medest your new divine beast. And show off your magical talents.”

‘What? You’re taking me with you too?’

So Yohan, a truly great wizard, would be left in shabby condition, while Tezen, a fake wizard, would brag that he had enough magic to need new water.

‘Well, it’s very expensive, so no one is crazy enough to buy it for a trick.’

That crazy person was Ella though.

Well, it looks like she’s going to make Yohan the lowly man to contrast with Tezen’s splendor.

“Oh, I’m looking forward to it. Really.”

Tezen grinned and jumped up and down.

“I’ll have to explain to her daughter what it feels like to be calmed by a divine beast.”

I’ve never calmed you down. He was firmly mistaking ‘calm’ for taking a break.

“I’m sure she’ll love it since you’re an amazing wizard.”

Judging by the way he was so excited, it seemed he already knew that Mariel was beautiful.

I sighed and climbed the tree back to Tezen’s room.

That night, It was when I went back to see Yohan again.

Yohan’s lips were blue as he lay on the bed, and it seemed that he was not in good condition.

Even though it was shorter than usual, it was inevitable that he would get sick after getting rained on in this weather.

“You came.”

But even as he lay panting in bed, Yohan smiled weakly at me.

“Is that you…?”

Yohan looked up at me with his blue-violet eyes and whispered.

“The one who saved me today….”

‘Of course. If he didn’t know, I was going to tell him.’

I nodded vigorously and ran to his side.
