I Became A Squirrel Seeking For The Villain

Chapter 15

Yohan looked surprised when he saw me knocking on the window.

“Momo?”

Unlike at night, the window was closed, and when I knocked on the window with my front paw, Yohan quickly came over and opened the window for me.

It’s daytime now. Until now, I had never come to visit him in the daytime, not even once.

‘I was afraid I might be seen by someone. Maids and servants may barge in…’

‘But there was no time to think about that now. An order might have been given to find me at any moment.’

And Yohan, if it was the original story, he would have just been dragged into the war quietly, but because of me, he ended up being turned into a puppet.

I wanted to take responsibility for that situation.

I can’t give Johan a huge flower path, but at least I can’t make him live a worse life than the original story.

Even if he is a villain, he hasn’t done anything bad yet, so I can’t let him be in that state.

But the situation was too complicated to explain all of this.

‘First, I have to warn Yohan of the danger that is coming, and I have to run away too.’

Intending to give it a try, I raised my front paw and pointed to the seal on my chest.

“……?”

No, no, this seal.

There is no communication until the very end.

‘Well, it’s a squirrel and a human, so that’s to be expected, right?’

Anyway, I pointed at the black rose seal more delicately.

“Hyrad?”

Yeah. Do it like this.

I rubbed it roughly, meaning to erase the black rose seal.

“Your chest hurts?”

‘ugh…’

Yohan’s wide-eyed stare told me that the idea of erasing it didn’t even occur to him.

So I changed the subject and this time pointed to Yohan.

“….?”

And I made a gesture of cutting my neck.

“Ah.”

John spoke with a thoughtful look on his face.

“You’re going to kill all the Hyrad family members because your heart aches, and I’m going to be the first one?”

‘Oh, my God…’

I sighed heavily. This was hopeless.

There was no time, I didn’t know how to write, and I wasn’t good enough to communicate using body language.

‘Well, that wasn’t John’s fault. It was my fault for being a squirrel…’

“Of course, I like seeing you now too. You can kill me if you want.”

John lifted me up while closing his eyes. His whispering voice was enchanting.

I couldn’t tell if this was kind or crazy.

“But how are you going to kill me? Throw acorns at me?”

Now is not the time to say that.

Suddenly, I saw his face in the corner of my eye and felt the blood rush to my face.

‘Ah, you’re even more handsome in the daylight.’

‘You have a face that can even attract a squirrel, huh?’

“If you don’t kill me now, someday you will be with me day and night.”

‘Oh, what are you talking about? Now is not the time to be talking about such romantic things.’

I clicked my tongue and jumped out of his hands which were lifting me, escaping.

“Kyuung, kyung!”

“Momo?”

And then quickly dug into his blanket.

I didn’t want to go this far, but no matter how much I thought about it, the only way to explain this whole situation was to talk.

In other words, I needed to become human.

I quickly recalled the past as I decided to become human because of the urgent situation.

The last time I had two days of magic power saved up, I was only able to become human for less than a minute.

But now, I have been steadily accumulating my magical power for a month. So, it will be possible to become human for quite a long time.

Of course, if I become human now, that would mean my plan of storing Yohan’s magical power for 50 days would be in vain.

But I can’t think of a better way than this right now.

If this continues, I will be dragged to the temple and killed before I become human. No, because it looks like a squirrel that will die.

‘It’s a waste, a waste.’

I felt as bad as the sunflower seeds hidden in one corner of Tezen’s room, but I had no choice.

‘There’s nothing I can do. I have no choice but to become human through the magic of another person.’

I was just trying to absorb the magic power of Yohan comfortably here and help him, but sadly, the time has come for me to find another way.

It seemed like my relationship with Yohan ended here.

Take care, Yohan.

Honestly, it wasn’t that great being together, it was just okay. Please continue to grow up as a moderately good person like you are now.

You’ll have everything except Mariel soon, so don’t do anything like being a mastermind villain in the future.

Looking at how indifferent he was to Mariel last time, it seems like the original story has already changed.

“Momo? Why on earth—”

I released the magical power I had been suppressing inside me. My stomach lurched, and in an instant, my forepaws were replaced by a girl’s long, white hands.

It was my second time, so now it doesn’t feel so unfamiliar.

Through the blanket, which had quickly grown and puffed up, I heard Yohan’s voice, a panicked tone of disbelief.

“Mo…..mo? Are you now…?”

I pulled the blanket over my body and covered it tightly, then poked my head out.

Light brown hair scattered before my eyes.

I quickly brushed my hair back and spoke clearly while looking into Yohan’s surprised purple eyes.

“Huh?”

Yohan opened his mouth and whispered back.

I thought that the world would be at ease in the future since the future villain was acting so foolishly, but I also gave the order.

“Because the servants might come. There’s no time to panic now.”

“…….”

Yohan answered in a bewildered manner and then locked the door.

After locking the door and turning around, his gaze, which had been lowered, was fixed on me.

Unlike the last time, he seemed to be studying my face as if he were trying to memorize every detail.

He couldn’t help but let his voice tremble with embarrassment.

“You become human now….but It’s still 50/99 days….”

Yohan looked flustered because an unexpected situation had arisen.

Yohan also knew that I was not in a state where I could fully humanize myself, perhaps because he had read a book about Divine Beast.

I sat down like the owner of the bed, buried under the blanket, and looked straight at him.

“That’s right. It’s not a complete humanization.”

After roughly brushing back the light brown hair that continued to fall messily across the blanket, I quickly continued speaking.

“It won’t be long anyway. Since we don’t have much time, I’ll explain it quickly.”

I gently pulled down the blanket wrapped around my body, exposing my collarbone.

My light brown hair, roughly swept over, fell between my exposed shoulders.

“Uh, wait! Momo!”

Yohan gasped and swallowed dry saliva. His voice trembled as he called my name urgently.

But even as his face turned bright red, his gaze was focused on me.

“I’m not mentally prepared yet…”

What kind of mental preparation are you talking about, you’re only sixteen now. You’re really crazy.

But why don’t you cover your eyes?

I looked at him with pitiful eyes for a moment, then sighed and said.

“You’re really in danger. I came to warn you.”

“I’m… in danger?”

Yohan’s expression hardened.

It seemed that he had realized the seriousness of the situation.

Well, the fact that I came here suddenly at this time of day obviously meant that something had happened.

It’s a little late, but now he can interpret my body language.

The very gestures that tell he might die.

“And I have a favor to ask.”

I pointed to the black rose-shaped seal embedded under my collarbone.

It’s like a chain that says it’s a Hyrad property and prevents me from leaving this place.

“Erase it. Right now.”

* * *

“Erase…it?”

Yohan placed his trembling fingers on the seal embedded in the collarbone of the girl sitting in front of him.

As soon as his fingers touched her soft skin, it felt like electricity was running through his whole body.

It was only for a moment, but his heart pounded at the feeling of body temperature on his fingers.

“This…?”

“Yeah. Erase it quickly.”

Since Yohan was also a Hyrad, he could naturally erase the seal.

Because erasing the family mark was a natural privilege for the direct line.

But he never once thought about erasing it.

He didn’t expect that the squirrel would want to erase the seal, and he didn’t think that he would let Momo go either.

Yohan suddenly realized that he had never imagined that he would ever be separated from the squirrel.

After that humiliating mealtime, all he could think about was getting the squirrel back from Tezen and putting it by his side.

He was naturally hesitating, but the girl spoke as if urging him.

“What are you doing? Now is not the time to be distracted.”

“What, what do you mean?”

“They will take me to the temple.”

“What?”

At the word temple, Yohan’s expression instantly hardened.

“Why is the temple—”

“I don’t know. They must be trying to kill me. I need to hurry. So I need to run away right now. If you don’t want to see me die, then do this quickly.”

“What? Okay.”

At those words, Yohan immediately came to his senses as if he had been poured cold water on.

‘Killing Momo? Now the temple bastards were trying to harm my precious squirrel?’

“I’ll erase it right away. But then…where are you going to go?”
