I am the Emperor of Humanity across the Multiverse

Chapter 205: Chapter 204: Full-scale War Preparations—An "Intruder" of Abnormal Origins?

As Fulgrim completed the initial "stealth" phase of his mission and successfully copied ONI's research data, Atlas showed no signs of slowing down. The entire organization was now entering a full-scale war preparation state.

Through an expanded 24x24 meter space gate, the engineering department continually transported completed ship modules, compartments, and armor to the front-line base on Harvest.

These parts were then assembled and welded at the shipyard.

So far, the engineering team had already assembled one Fides-class and one Selene-class ship, plugging the gap in Harvest's lack of orbital defense measures.

Additionally, the engineering department was planning a comprehensive overhaul of Harvest's orbital elevator and space station. A second shipyard was being installed in outer space to expedite shipbuilding.

Meanwhile, with the help of the smart AI Arp, the engineering and research departments were refining the blueprints of the UNSC's Paris-class heavy frigate and Valiant-class super-heavy cruiser. They aimed to integrate a superconductive deflection field into the existing armor to counter Covenant energy weapons.

As for the energy shield technology obtained from the Reaper mothership, Arp provided suggestions and assistance to help the research department reverse-engineer it as quickly as possible.

Although Atlas had focused much of its attention on the Zero-Eight Universe, other universes were also being methodically organized, expanded, and reinforced with new recruits.

Main Universe Date: March 14, 2001.

Inside the ruins base:

"Members of the 5th Infantry Division's emergency response team from the Zero-Five Universe, please report to platforms 12, 13, and 14 to board the orbital train en route to the Zero-Two Universe (Avatar) military base for standby."

"Ground crew attention, ground crew attention, Cargo Area 24 needs unloading. Repeat, Cargo Area 24..."

The base, now expanded to the size of a large city, was filled with broadcasts of various reminders.

At the train platforms, numerous combat personnel from different armed divisions gathered, following orders from their superiors to deploy to designated zones or even different universes.

The majority of these combat personnel came from the Zero-Five Universe (World War Z), and while their uniforms followed Atlas' usual black color scheme, many details were accented in white.

Most importantly, their armbands and collar insignia displayed not only Atlas' red and white "Λ" symbol but also a wolf's head biting a crescent moon.

During quieter periods, these personnel could enjoy brief vacations, taking maglev trains to New Accra City or nearby cities like Lomé and Lagos to experience the culture of the Main Universe.

But for now, they followed orders to travel to the Zero-Two Universe (Avatar), preparing for a full-scale consolidation campaign on Earth there in three to four months.

At this time, in the transportation hub of the ruins base:

A Luna-class transport craft, painted in a special black-and-white scheme, slowly ascended and, after the upper gates opened, accelerated into the blue sky.

Inside the cabin:

"Yes, Father... I understand. I have already led my personal troops to the ruins base, and I am now preparing to head to Seattle to discuss logistics with my brother."

Standing in the center of the cabin, wearing his custom power armor that increased his height to over three meters, Horus spoke with Samuel Young, who appeared via a holographic projection.

"Good."

Emitting a faint blue glow, Samuel nodded and reminded his son, "While focusing on the consolidation campaign on Zero-Two Earth, do not forget to guard against threats from the Warp. I have a feeling the Main Universe won't remain peaceful for long.

However, I cannot leave. The company's consolidation efforts in the Zero-Eight Universe are just beginning, so I will leave the Main Universe in the hands of you, Guilliman, and Sanguinius for now."

"Rest assured, Father. With us brothers here, nothing will go wrong in the Main Universe," Horus solemnly assured.

"Very well," Samuel responded softly, his image fading as the Luna-class transport's cabin returned to normal.

Horus then walked to the back of the cabin and sat in a custom-made seat capable of supporting his massive frame. Using his power armor, he brought up several holographic screens, continuing to review real-time information from various sectors.

In Zero-Five Earth, which was under his jurisdiction, while the zombies rampaging across Africa and South America hadn't been completely wiped out, the leaderless nations had already been brought under the unified control of the Atlas division through a mix of peaceful and forceful means.

Although the zombies, numbering over 600 million, no longer posed a real threat to humanity, they were being kept alive for practical reasons.

The vaccine ensured society on Zero-Five Earth could function normally, and the biotech department had developed specialized bioweapons that could eliminate large numbers of zombies in a short time.

But keeping the zombies around provided valuable combat experience for new recruits and allowed for the testing of "biological power generation," a green energy experiment.

Of course, these experiments were just the biotech department's way of exploring various possibilities. The primary reason the zombies were kept alive was to help new recruits in the security and emergency response forces quickly adapt to the reality of combat.

The next priority was the consolidation plan for Zero-Two Earth.

Right now, the engineering and research departments, working with Arp, were racing to improve UNSC ships. Horus believed it wouldn't be long before the ship construction schedule could be accelerated.

The 30,000-strong personal force under his command would soon board six Fides-class ships, three Paris-class frigates, and one Valiant-class cruiser to head to Zero-Two Earth, providing the company with real-world test data along the way.

After a while, Horus noticed the Luna-class transport had exited outer space and begun descending, reducing speed and altitude.

He stood up and waited patiently behind the cabin door.

Thud, thud.

The sound of the landing gear making contact with the platform soon followed.

Whoosh—!

The slight pressure difference between the cabin and the outside caused a rush of air when the doors opened, the wind whistling past Horus' ears.

Once the doors fully opened—

"Welcome, brother."

Guilliman stood on the rooftop helipad of Atlas Headquarters, wearing a black and blue formal suit. Smiling, he watched as Horus stepped off the transport.

"Brother."

Horus nodded in response. "It's been a while. Thank you for shouldering so much pressure for Father and the company."

"Heh, it's my duty," Guilliman said as they walked side by side toward the nearby elevator. He continued, "I've reviewed all your logistical requests. Don't worry, everything will be ready when you and your personal troops head to Zero-Two Earth."

As he spoke, the joy on Guilliman's face suddenly froze. He had just received an urgent security report through his earpiece.

"Sir, an abnormal creature calling itself Hera has broken into the first-floor lobby!"
