Now, there is no way we can win by fighting.
After calming down, Wanda also recognized the issues at hand.
So, she agreed to give Tony a chance, though she did not abandon the idea of revenge entirely.
Wanda finally came to Pietro and said, "Pietro, don't make trouble. Wait for me to come back."
Pietro was a bit annoyed, "I was born before you. I'm the older brother."
Even so, Pietro agreed.
"Be careful of that guy, Jaxon. I don't trust his intentions."
Wanda wasn't naive and could sense something.
"I know."
Jaxon didn't mind, "Natasha, why don't you take Pietro along? Train him?"
Natasha looked at Pietro and replied, "I have no interest in training kids like him. Even if I did, he'd barely be able to handle small-time criminals."
Pietro was immediately offended by Natasha's condescension.
"I agreed to stay, but I never said I'd follow your arrangements."
"I don't think she can teach me anything useful."
Natasha had planned to take a break, but it seemed she had to prove her point.
She walked up to Pietro and said, "Go ahead, boy."
Pietro didn't take Natasha seriously, and Natasha didn't hold him in high regard either.
The attack came suddenly, and Pietro had no time to react.
He was knocked down in a flash and pinned to the ground.
"No fair, you attacked by surprise."
"If I had, you wouldn't have seen it coming, and you'd be dead already."
Natasha stood up, returning to Jaxon confidently, "This kid's nothing special, not worth the training."
"He has the potential for superpowers, but his attitude doesn't suit it."
Jaxon smiled at Pietro, "Pietro, you don't want to be Wanda's weakness, do you?"
"Follow her, and you'll learn plenty of skills. You'll at least gain the ability to protect yourself—and maybe improve your personality too."
"She's the world's top agent, and this is a rare chance."
"If you can gain her approval, superpowers might come your way eventually."
Tony Stark looked on, feeling a twinge of jealousy.
How come some people just gain superpowers out of nowhere?
He was stuck relying on armor and tech.
It's understandable he can't beat Jaxon, that freak.
From what Jaxon said, he might not stand a chance against any of them.
This was absurd.
Tony's competitive streak had been ignited, and he decided to continue upgrading his armor.
Pietro thought about it seriously.
He's Wanda's older brother, but he can't even protect her and ends up holding her back. Pietro couldn't stand that.
And the idea of gaining superpowers himself made him envious.
"Alright, I'll do it."
Wanda and Pietro both had paths ahead of them.
Wanda asked, "How long will we need to be apart?"
"I'm not sure. You'll see each other often. Once you're proficient with portals, you can come back anytime. You could even visit Pietro during training."
"As for Pietro, how long it'll take him to get recognition—Natasha, what do you think?"
Natasha responded without hesitation, "Without superpowers, it would take him at least ten years to reach a passing level."
"I don't need ten years!"
Jaxon nodded, "Tony should have the information you need in a few months."
"Wanda and Pietro have plans now, so it seems it's time for everyone to go their separate ways."
The Ancient One said, "Jaxon, there are some things I'd like to discuss with you."
"Of course. I have a few things to handle here first; I'll come by later."
Jaxon didn't know exactly what the Ancient One wanted to discuss, but he knew that anyone associated with her was significant.
Meanwhile, Jaxon needed to get Pietro and Natasha back to their respective tasks.
Although it wouldn't take much time, there were still minor details to manage.
The Ancient One took Wanda away.
When Wanda followed the Ancient One to Kamar-Taj, she was stunned.
"Where is this place?"
"Kamar-Taj, a small village in the Himalayas."
Wanda couldn't believe it. In an instant, she had crossed the world.
"You'll be able to do this in the future."
Wanda noticed that besides the Ancient One, there were other people here—what appeared to be a group of wizards.
The Ancient One noticed Wanda's curiosity.
"They're mages as well. They study magic here, monitor different dimensions, and when a disaster happens in the real world, we step in to protect it."
"But worldly conflicts are not our business. We're not here to pass judgment."
Wanda understood; one person alone couldn't stop these things.
"Ancient One, when Jaxon called you earlier, you appeared so quickly. Can you sense what's happening from all the way here?"
The Ancient One smiled, "Jaxon is a man with remarkable powers. I'm not sure if his presence is ultimately good or bad for the world. So, I've been keeping an eye on him."
"From what I see, he seems to be a force for good."
Wanda's first impression of Jaxon was that he was powerful and mysterious.
"So do you know Tony Stark? What kind of person is he?"
The Ancient One simply smiled.
"People are complicated. Whether they're good or bad depends on different perspectives."
"No matter what I say, you'll form your own opinion."
Wanda nodded, understanding, "I get it, Ancient One."
They spoke for a while longer, and Jaxon suddenly appeared, teleporting in.
There was no portal; he simply appeared in front of them.
Wanda wasn't prepared and felt her heart skip a beat.
"Hey, Wanda!"
"Hello, Ancient One. It's been a while. What's the reason for calling me this time?"
Wanda wasn't close with Jaxon and didn't greet him.
The Ancient One still wore a kind expression.
"This morning, I sensed a strange magical power."
"This power doesn't seem to belong to this universe."
"But it has adapted remarkably well."
Jaxon understood immediately that it was related to the horse charm.
If he hadn't taken Natasha to see Tony, she might have arrived and taken them both away.
Instead, Jaxon sensed her and decided to summon her here.
The Ancient One hesitated briefly; revealing herself to the world wasn't a trivial matter.
But ultimately, she chose to step forward.
After all, Doctor Strange would eventually reveal himself, so it wouldn't hurt to show herself now.
"The power I sensed is from another world." She said, indicating the charm Jaxon possessed.
The Ancient One was interested in this unique power.
It could strengthen Natasha and the others.
With the Avengers becoming more powerful, they'd better defend against threats.
"The power you possess—you're giving it to those around you."
Jaxon nodded, "Natasha is my girlfriend, and she faces dangers too. This power can protect her and be used to protect the world."
"You can trust Natasha. She won't harm the world."
The Ancient One believed him.
"I'm not here to stop you."
Jaxon was taken aback. The Ancient One didn't intend to interfere.
This was significant.
He had expected to work hard to persuade her.
It seemed the Ancient One had accepted that her destiny, and the world's, could change.
"You've helped Gwen become Ghost Spider."
"You're mentoring Peter into the true Spider-Man."
"Wanda is also here to study magic."
"All of this strengthens the world."
"If things are progressing positively, why should I intervene?"
Jaxon felt relieved, "I thought you'd say this could bring unpredictable disasters."
"It will bring bigger challenges, but I trust you and them."
"They were destined to be heroes, and now they'll be even better."
"I believe in them."
The Ancient One's openness was remarkable.
No wonder she could face her own fate with such calm.
"Alright, so, Ancient One, did you call me here just for this?"
The Ancient One nodded, "Essentially, yes. I hope you can continue to strengthen them."
"Not only in power but in character and the resilience to face all challenges."
"Including Strange."
