Kingpin was arrested, and James also took out the account book.
Not only that, some bandits were also taken down.
On Foggy and Peggy's side, the open investigation uncovered a lot of clues and evidence.
With these two aspects combined, it was only natural that they could bring Kingpin down completely.
Tony completed his mission, and now it was time to hand Kingpin over to the specialists.
Tom arrived with his men and confronted Tony.
"Tony Stark, you shouldn't interfere in this matter. You're not authorized to enforce the law."
Tony didn't care at all, "I know."
"It's just that such a criminal appeared in your jurisdiction, and you didn't even notice."
"Even your own personnel were corrupted and controlled."
"You've lost the public's trust."
"That's why we took action, caught them, and exposed your flaws."
"Only by doing this can we protect this city."
As the two sides were confronting each other, Coulson appeared with his team.
"Kingpin's abilities go beyond those of ordinary people. He can't be imprisoned in a regular facility. We'll place him in a special prison."
"We'll also back up and, if necessary, make these materials public."
Tom fell silent. He couldn't stop SHIELD.
Of course, he also knew he couldn't defeat Iron Man, Tony Stark.
As this information becomes public, many people will face trials and dismissal, including Tom.
From afar, Nick Fury watched the scene unfold, "The Avengers Initiative... looks like it's working well. But we still need more superheroes."
---
Kingpin was arrested, and the key figures of his gang were also taken down.
Soon after, evidence was released, and many connections unraveled.
This incident caused a huge uproar.
The *Hero Daily* reported that Kingpin's crimes reached unimaginable levels.
Tom was naturally dismissed.
George returned and smoothly took over, rising to become director almost overnight.
But these are all stories for later and have little to do with Jaxon.
Jaxon led the team, successfully completing the job, and reaped significant rewards.
Frankly, it was hard for him to hide his smile.
Tony, however, found the whole thing a bit boring.
He thought the mission would be tougher.
Instead, they won so easily.
"Today's a great day. Want to come to my place for a drink?"
"A drink at your place?"
What's so great about that? Isn't it better to spend time with your girlfriend?
"No, thanks."
"Drinking is dull. I'd rather hang out with my girlfriend."
Tony glanced at Gwen, then leaned closer to Jaxon's ear and whispered, "I could find a bunch of hot girls."
Jaxon didn't hesitate to give him a not-so-friendly international gesture.
"I'm different from you. You're just playing around. I'm serious about my girlfriends. I plan to spend my whole life with them."
Tony paused for a moment, "Them?"
"Goodnight, Tony."
Tony watched as Jaxon disappeared into the distance and muttered to himself, "Damn, he's even more extravagant than me? Is it just because he's handsome?"
After dealing with Kingpin, the remaining small-time criminals wouldn't pose much of a threat.
Everyone could relax a little now.
Jaxon took Gwen back to his villa.
"Jaxon, can I stay over?"
Of course, Jaxon had thought about it.
But it wasn't the weekend.
Plus, it was getting late, and Gwen had school tomorrow.
"Don't worry, we're about to graduate. We'll have plenty of time then."
"Besides, I'm planning a gift for you."
Gwen lit up with excitement, "A gift? What kind?"
Jaxon looked slightly embarrassed, "It's a secret. You'll find out when the time comes."
He was confident she'd love the gift, but he wasn't sure how she'd react to it.
Gwen didn't ask more. Instead, she smiled warmly and gave him a soft kiss.
Jaxon still took Gwen home that night.
"Graduation is coming up. I can't wait to finally relax."
"Once we're in college, we can live together off-campus."
Jaxon had plans to buy a villa in Manhattan, which would make things more convenient for them.
Empire State College was in Manhattan, but right now, Gwen lived in Queens.
To get to Manhattan, they had to cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
Even without traffic, it would take at least half an hour. And if there was a traffic jam, it would be much worse.
It wasn't practical for Gwen's dad to drive her to school every day.
So, renting a place off-campus was the most sensible option for her.
She could go home on weekends.
"Finally, I'm going to escape this grind."
Jaxon was relieved. The next important thing was to see what rewards he'd gained.
His balance was originally 224,000 fate points, and he'd spent 7,000 on buying a Batmobile for Tony.
After intercepting Vanessa, he earned 25,000 points, plus some extra.
Now, he had 242,000 fate points left.
"System, show me the rewards."
[Ding! The host's organization was involved in Kingpin's arrest!]
[Kingpin's fate has been changed, earning 400,000 fate points!]
[Daredevil Matt's fate has been changed, earning 100,000 fate points!]
[Spider-Man Peter's fate has been changed, earning 150,000 fate points!]
[Ghost Spider Gwen's fate has been changed, earning 100,000 fate points!]
[Iron Man Tony Stark's fate has been changed, earning 30,000 fate points!]
[You've earned 2 additional standard draws!]
[Ding! The mission to guide Peter Parker to become Spider-Man has been completed!]
"Huh? That's it?"
"The mission was supposed to last a year."
"The reward seems a bit… ordinary."
[Task Log: You saved Aunt May and helped Peter avoid the fate of losing loved ones. You guided Peter, helping him understand the challenges of being a superhero and preparing him mentally. You led by example, encouraging Peter with your actions when capturing the Lizard. You provided hands-on training by finding suitable targets for Peter, helping him grow.]
[Overall Evaluation: A!]
[Mission Reward: 500,000 fate points, plus a special lv7 item upgrade card!]
Jaxon looked at the rewards and was thrilled. So many fate points were incredible.
1.28 million fate points, plus the special lv7 upgrade card, was an amazing haul.
To upgrade any of his six-attributes from lv6 to lv7, 1 million fate points were required.
In other words, that upgrade card was worth 1 million points.
"Let's do the draws first. System, do two draws at once."
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining a special item: 1 box of elastic pants!]
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining the special ability: Flying!]
When Jaxon saw the first reward, he was stunned.
Elastic pants? Those were meant for the Hulk.
But for him? Completely useless.
Jaxon wasn't satisfied until he saw the second reward.
Flying—he could finally fly!
He had never used his Mach 10 speed, which was 10 times the speed of sound.
If he wasn't careful, he'd probably turn into a speeding bullet.
In most situations, he relied on teleportation instead.
That super speed had felt somewhat pointless.
But now that he could fly, that speed would actually be useful.
"System, is my flying speed based on my physical speed?"
[Yes!]
[However, flying consumes energy.]
"That's fine. It shouldn't be a problem."
Jaxon glanced at the night sky outside. Maybe it was time to give flying a try.
"Mach 10—10 times the speed of sound. This system-enhanced symbiote suit should handle that, right? It won't just catch fire from air friction?"
[Host, rest assured. When all six of your attributes are upgraded, your biological defenses will be enhanced accordingly.]
