Tony has a wide network of contacts, and he can even influence people like Rhodes and Ross. He can also easily make friends with people like congressmen.
"Of course I know. Go on." Tony said.
Jaxon continued, "We now have some evidence in our possession, and when the time comes, we will capture the key witness."
"But, as you know, the inside has been infiltrated. So, I need you to come forward and increase your influence."
With Tony's presence and the *Heroes Daily*, it will surely make an instant impact across the internet. Besides, Tony is the only superhero who shows his face publicly. It would be great to have him as the spokesperson for superheroes. Except for the Superhero Act, Tony can handle everything else.
Tony understood Jaxon's thoughts. "I understand."
Since becoming a superhero, Tony has actively pursued doing good and helping more people. He never expected that right under his nose, in this civilized city, so many crimes could be hidden in the shadows.
This Kingpin is a serious threat; Tony wouldn't let him off the hook. He drank the wine in his glass in one gulp, "I will help you."
"When?"
"I'm not sure. I'm only responsible for overseeing this, and I'll let others handle the rest. Spider-Man and Ghost Spider are still too young; I want to train them."
Tony glanced at Jaxon, "It seems like you're pretty young too."
"Because I'm confident in my abilities."
Tony suddenly remembered something Tom had said, "So, Jaxon, can you really impersonate others or control their abilities?"
"I don't have those abilities right now, and I don't need them."
"Why would I need to pretend to be someone else? Are they as handsome as me? Controlling people? That's a waste of time. I can destroy a building with one punch."
Tony was intrigued, "Jaxon, I think you need a comprehensive checkup to test the limits of your abilities. I can help with that."
Tony was keen to help Jaxon so that he could collect data on him. With that data, he could build a model for analysis—and design armor to counter him if necessary.
Jaxon quickly saw through Tony's plan, "I know what you're thinking: collect my data, then create armor to target me."
"Unfortunately for you, it won't work."
Tony quickly denied it, "How is that possible? We're friends!"
---
With Tony joining, things moved much faster. Matt had gathered enough clues and evidence to close the case. They made a simple plan and started the operation.
However, Tony wasn't someone who liked sticking to plans. If Jaxon hadn't stopped him, Tony would have already suited up and attacked head-on.
Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Ghost Spider acted as a team. Jaxon stayed behind, ready to step in if things went wrong. Tony's target was James, Kingpin's right-hand man who managed the accounts. Once they had those, they could easily connect Kingpin to his crimes.
Daredevil and the others were after key figures as well—people with critical evidence, such as proof that Kingpin was trying to take over the real estate market.
As for the big boss himself, Kingpin, Jaxon left him to Spider-Man, Peter. While Matt could fight Kingpin, he was prone to injury, and Peter was more capable. It would also give Peter some good practice.
The operation began, with drones at the ready. Tony, as always, had a bold new plan: to live stream the whole thing.
"Jarvis, start the live stream! I want everyone to see me."
Jarvis immediately got to work, broadcasting Tony's live feed.
People online who were still awake noticed quickly.
"Hey, what's this? Iron Man Live?"
"Whaaat? Tony Stark!"
"What's he doing?"
"I don't know, but it's gotta be awesome."
Jaxon, listening through his headset, heard Tony's voice, "Live streaming? Man, this is something the Young Avengers would do."
In the comics, the Young Avengers live-streamed their fights, but it ended in disaster when Nitro caused a massive explosion, killing many civilians.
"With me here, that won't happen."
The plan kicked off, with Tony being as high-profile as ever. The other three kept a lower profile. Thanks to Tony's tech and Daredevil's heightened senses, the team moved quickly.
"Hey, hands up!" Tony ordered.
The gangsters were stunned when they saw Iron Man. They knew who he was: not only did he have the iron suit, but he was also incredibly rich. One by one, they raised their hands, and Tony quickly grabbed James.
"I heard you're Kingpin's accountant. You have a ledger with all of Kingpin's dirty dealings. I need it."
James was terrified. Tony Stark was not someone to mess with. But if he betrayed Kingpin, the consequences could be even worse.
Tony, being a businessman, knew how to handle Leland, "You're a businessman, and so am I. Let's negotiate. If you give me the ledger, Kingpin will come after you. But don't worry, I'll take care of his minions, too."
"If you don't cooperate, Kingpin will find out you have the ledger anyway. So, your best option is to trust us."
Leland, knowing his fate was sealed if he didn't cooperate, agreed, "I'm willing to hand over the ledger. I'll explain everything."
With Leland in custody, the rest was easier. The key part now was the showdown between Spider-Man and Kingpin.
Peter finally confronted Kingpin, who was furious. His empire of crime was crumbling right before his eyes.
"Spider-Man, you'll regret standing in my way." Kingpin snarled.
Peter was excited but kept his composure, "I remember you once said you wanted to make this place better. So this is your version of 'better'?"
"Your gang is everywhere, and the streets are filled with crime. Innocent people are hurt or killed because of you. Do you think you can stay in the shadows forever?"
"Do you think your connections will protect you? Who do you think you are? The king of the underworld? You're nothing but a rat hiding from the light. You prey on the weak, on ordinary people."
"Well, I'm here now. Let's see you try that on me!"
Kingpin, seething with rage, grabbed a table and hurled it at Peter. Peter easily caught it, but Kingpin charged at him with a powerful punch. Peter caught his fist effortlessly.
In terms of raw strength, Kingpin was no match for Peter. In the comic *Back in Black*, when Peter's identity was revealed because of the Superhero Registration Act, Kingpin attacked Aunt May, sending Peter into a rage. Peter then easily overpowered Kingpin.
This time, Peter was holding back, not wanting to crush Kingpin outright. But after catching his punch, Peter shot webs and bound him.
At first, Kingpin managed to resist, but soon he was fully wrapped in webs, with only his head exposed. He still managed to speak.
"You can't lock me up!"
Peter knew that an ordinary prison couldn't hold Kingpin. The best solution was to put him in a special prison, isolated from the outside world.
Once in there, Kingpin wouldn't be able to harm anyone.
