I accidentally Married the Leader of the Noble Path

Chapter 11 - Uptight

“Wifey no need to be so formal with me. Let’s sleep together. The bed’s a bit small, but it’s fine. You can hold me while sleeping,” Qin Nan shamelessly suggested.

“Men and women should keep their distance. And stop calling me your wife,” Shangguan Rouyue replied.

“We’re already living together. What’s the point of keeping a distance? You’re just being uptight,” Qin Nan said.

Shangguan Rouyue didn’t respond further, closing her eyes to focus on cultivating.

With her cultivation level, she didn’t actually need to sleep. Meditating through the night wouldn’t leave her tired; in fact, it would refresh her.

Since Qin Nan insisted on sleeping in the bed, she decided to let him have it while she meditated on the chair, ensuring they wouldn’t disturb each other.

Unlike during the day when her thoughts were unsettled, making it hard to focus, Shangguan Rouyue quickly entered a meditative state, wholeheartedly immersed in her cultivation.

Qin Nan, who had already laid down, suddenly sat up again. Watching her focused expression as she cultivated, he couldn’t help but feel like he was guarding an empty room.

This woman was so uptight and rigid—what could he do about it?

Obviously, he needed to take the initiative.

Qin Nan tiptoed off the bed and approached Shangguan Rouyue, quietly admiring her beauty.

Her flawless skin was as delicate as jade. Her slender, elegant brows looked like they had been painted on. Her fine lashes, straight nose, and rosy lips—all of it was enchanting, poetic, and picturesque.

Qin Nan didn’t hold back and kissed her.

Shangguan Rouyue snapped out of her cultivation in shock, nearly causing a backlash that could have injured her internally.

Seeing Qin Nan so close, Shangguan Rouyue frowned angrily. Without lifting a hand, she used her mental power to push him away.

This shameless scoundrel—once again trying to take advantage of her.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Shangguan Rouyue said coldly.

“Is there a problem with kissing my wife?” Qin Nan replied matter-of-factly.

“I’m not your wife,” Shangguan Rouyue said.

“Ahem. Well then, Miss Shangguan, would you mind sleeping in the bed? Sleeping alone is a bit lonely,” Qin Nan said.

“You’re too bold for your age, always trying to take advantage of me,” Shangguan Rouyue said with displeasure.

“If you won’t sleep with me, I guess I’ll go back to the medicine room. You must really dislike me,” Qin Nan said.

Shangguan Rouyue rolled her eyes. When had she ever disliked him? That aggrieved look on his face—what was that about? As if she was the one bullying him.

He was clearly the one taking liberties, acting like a rogue.

Despite her internal complaints, Shangguan Rouyue eventually gave in to Qin Nan’s wishes and lay down in bed with him.

She wasn’t sure why she couldn’t refuse Qin Nan. Had she really fallen for this young man?

Or was it simply gratitude?

After spending so much time together, Shangguan Rouyue had come to realize that, despite his youthful appearance, Qin Nan was mature and composed. He could handle any situation with remarkable poise.

Possessing wisdom that is completely out of proportion to his age.

But when he acted shamelessly, he was unmatched.

As the two lay down, sharing the warmth of the blanket, Qin Nan naturally turned to hug Shangguan Rouyue as if it were the most normal thing in the world, treating her as though she were truly his wife.

Shangguan Rouyue glared at him but didn’t resist.

Taking this as tacit approval, Qin Nan became bolder.

When Shangguan Rouyue caught his wandering hand, she decided not to let him continue misbehaving. Instead, she flipped the situation, holding him in place to stop him from doing anything reckless.

But to her surprise, when their faces drew closer, Qin Nan boldly kissed her.

Shangguan Rouyue, of course, refused. Who did he think she was, daring to act so presumptuously?

Though she didn’t dislike him, they weren’t married yet and had no official relationship—how could they cross such boundaries?

Wait—why was she even thinking about marrying him?

Still, if she were to continue living in Niujiao Village and staying with Qin Nan, a proper status might indeed be necessary.

She didn’t dislike him, even had some affection for him. He had already seen her body, and they had even had physical contact. Would marriage really be such a big deal?

As this thought crossed her mind, Shangguan Rouyue felt tempted but quickly suppressed it. It all felt too fast—she wasn’t mentally prepared.

While Shangguan Rouyue was lost in thought, Qin Nan didn’t idle; his kiss grew more passionate.

Though Qin Nan’s kissing skills were amateurish, his adaptability quickly made him proficient.

Shangguan Rouyue found herself unable to resist.

This couldn’t continue. Just as she reached out to push Qin Nan away, he seized the opportunity to break free from her control, growing even bolder.

Shangguan Rouyue became annoyed at his shamelessness.

Yet, strangely, she didn’t find it entirely unpleasant and even felt an inexplicable enjoyment.

As the rooster crowed to announce dawn, the two woke up simultaneously, their intimate sleeping position speaking volumes.

What stood out most was their lack of clothing—completely bare, facing each other openly.

Shangguan Rouyue’s pale face flushed with a shy red, exuding a youthful charm.

Qin Nan, on the other hand, appeared unfazed, a smug smile tugging at his lips as if he were teasing her.

“Will you be my wife?” Qin Nan asked seriously.

“Mm…” Shangguan Rouyue’s voice was barely audible, her gaze flitting nervously as she avoided his eyes.

He was just a seemingly harmless young man, and yet she, a formidable cultivator unshaken by armies or beasts, couldn’t face him directly.

Qin Nan couldn’t help but laugh at her shy and endearing expression, his affection for her growing. He leaned in and planted another kiss, to which she didn’t resist, though she pouted slightly in feigned anger.

“Congratulations—you’re now the lady of this house,” Qin Nan said with a grin.

Shangguan Rouyue rolled her eyes. What was there to be proud of in becoming the mistress of this tiny home?

Still, despite her thoughts, a small, happy smile appeared on her lips as she hugged Qin Nan, refusing to let him get too smug.

Time passed, and the rooster had long fallen silent.

As they pulled back the blanket, a crimson mark bloomed on the sheet, vivid like a flower in snow.

The sight made Shangguan Rouyue blush deeply, while Qin Nan’s smile grew more triumphant.

Watching Shangguan Rouyue’s slightly awkward walk, Qin Nan’s smugness only intensified.

She pouted, glaring at Qin Nan—it was all his fault.

Where had this young man learned such mischievous tricks? So infuriatingly cunning.

“Wifey, don’t you think it’s time to change how you address me?” Qin Nan teased.

“…Hubby?” Shangguan Rouyue said softly, her beautiful eyes blinking at him.

Qin Nan’s grin widened in satisfaction.

Compared to a certain cold woman who always wore an inscrutable smile and refused to yield, Shangguan Rouyue was far better—gentle, caring, and willing to call him hubby.

From then on, things naturally progressed. Having consummated their relationship, no barriers remained. Without hesitation or pretension, their feelings deepened, and they became inseparable.
