HP – Shadow Monarch!

Chapter 66 – Attack of Hogsmeade 04.

[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]
Third Person POV

Hogwarts.

...

...

"Look there!!" A student pointed out of the castle window as they heard the explosions in the distance, where a part of Hogsmeade was beginning to emit smoke upwards while distant screams echoed.

"Hahahaha! Long live the Dark Lord!!" Another student exclaimed while flaunting their Slytherin uniforms.

Most of the Slytherin students hadn't gone to Hogsmeade today since they were warned by their parents about the attack, and those who were unaware were not targeted by the dark wizards, thus they managed to escape.

While these students, mostly a bunch of lunatic teenagers, watched the situation with pleasure, cheering for the end of the "mudbloods" at the school. They wanted the supremacy of the Purebloods and total control of the magical world from this country; these were the two greatest ambitions of Voldemort and his followers, and as the children of wizards who followed this ideology and were working to transform the wizarding world of England as such, their children were taught from childhood to follow this path showing that they were superior.

"I wish I was there to see the scenes of those idiots dying of fear while being tortured," another student said, looking out another side of the window.

"That sounds horrible," a boy trembled slightly. His parents were in favor of Voldemort, but that didn't mean he had the courage to watch people being tortured or even liked the ideology, but he had no choice, it was very likely that his parents would strip him of the family name and expel him if they heard his real thoughts about it.

"I'd prefer to be there too, but we might get caught in the crossfire," a fifth student commented.

"Long live the Dark Wizard!" Someone among them shouted, while some students from other houses who stayed at school looked at them stunned and somewhat afraid, as they heard the screams in the distance, it wasn't too hard to connect the dots.

"I heard the teachers are there now," another student gossiped.

"Yes, but I heard there were at least more than 50 dark wizards. I doubt the teachers can handle that. I heard from my parents in the letter that they had hatched a plan for the headmaster and even the Ministry of Magic not to be around to deal with them so quickly. By the time they finally get there, there will already be a bunch of lifeless bodies in the town," another student commented with a sadistic smile.

"Is Snape there? I hope so, since he was a target. I heard the Rosier family wants to kill him and the Malfoy family wants to replace him," the student spoke, and the others looked at Lucius, who was looking out one of the windows. While Narcissa also looked cautiously at her fiancé, she hadn't seen Snape at the school, nor his older sister.

"Is that true?" another asked Lucius.

The boy nodded a bit cautiously. "Yes, my father believes he will be a useful piece for the cause," he said.

"Snape made a lot of enemies. He wouldn't last a week with the other Death Eaters," a sixth-year student said.

"Anyway, is Snape at the school?" another asked and everyone shook their heads.

"No, I haven't seen him. So, he must be there, I hope, did you see what he did to Bellatrix...?" another murmured.

"Yes..." Most of the students were afraid of Snape and almost no one else messed with him. But they longed for revenge for his actions.

They continued to hear the sound coming from Hogsmeade, until suddenly, things began to calm down in the town. The screams stopped, the explosions also greatly diminished, and it became increasingly quiet until everything went silent.

"Hey, what's happening there?" a student murmured, looking at the situation a bit surprised.

"Who knows. There were 50 dark wizards. They couldn't have fallen to the teachers, they probably beat them," another tried to be more logical, while silence took over the entire place, until suddenly explosions began to appear in the air above Hogsmeade and wizards on brooms began to appear.

"Look, those are..." a student from another house pointed hopefully, as unlike the Slytherins, the other houses that stayed at the school were hoping that the students were safe and the teachers would defeat the dark wizards.

"Yes, the Ministry of Magic has arrived. The Aurors are here," they spoke, as numerous Aurors began to descend and scour the town for any enemy, the first quickly reaching the square where the teachers had defeated the last dark wizards, while the leader of that squad landed in front of them, going straight to his old friend, Miss Longbottom.

"Mr. Moody, you finally arrived. Why all this delay?" Longbottom murmured, dissatisfied, even though she was speaking to the man who was above her in the ministry hierarchy.

"The Ministry was notified much later. But that is a problem we'll look into later. Now, tell me, how's the situation? The other Aurors are scouring the town, but we haven't found any standing enemies while the students are trapped, but there are many bodies on the ground, both students and those wizards who attacked them..." he spoke, with a raised eyebrow, seeking answers.

"We don't really know," Longbottom admitted, with a grim look. The professors Slughorn, McGonagall, and Flitwick didn't have an answer either and just frowned at this.

Minerva McGonagall decided to answer what she knew. "We only faced dark wizards here in the square and didn't encounter others, but it seems someone attacked them, as we saw some dying and all appear to be dead..." she admitted.

"Someone hunted them?" Mr. Moody raised his eyes to her, in a strange manner, as another Auror approached.

"Mr. Moody, we have a big problem here," the Auror began, cautiously.

"Tell me, man," Mr. Moody spoke, asked.

"It's full of bodies scattered all over the town as we saw on the brooms, besides the students, there are more than 40 adults dead who acted as dark wizards..." He started cautiously as Mr. Moody looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"The strangest thing is the way they died..." He spoke at the end.

"How so?!" Moody questioned again with some anger at the man's hesitation in telling.

"Most of these bodies were cut with a blade... there's dark wizard blood running through all the streets of the town..." He spoke with everyone who listened, being stunned.

"What are you saying?" was the only thing Moody could exclaim, and the man sighed and used his wand, while bringing two bodies, one with the head decapitated and another with the body full of holes from a blade. Everyone looked horrified at that, seeing that it had been cut by a clean cut in the first and the other looked like ground meat with so many spikes in it.

"Please, can you stop showing this here? There are students here," Professor McGonagall exclaimed horrified, while all the students from the three houses were quite frightened by that behind the teachers.

Moody looked at her and sighed, "You can go take the students from here. I believe they will be better in the castle," he spoke, and Professor McGonagall couldn't disagree.

She quickly began to instruct the students through the less affected streets, while the Aurors also followed, trying to reassure them as they removed them from their hiding places, but the vast majority were trembling and traumatized, even pointing wands at the Aurors and some with less control, attacked thinking they were dark wizards, but these professionals were already accustomed and trained for this, easily dealing with the children without hurting them.

Mr. Moody began to take two teachers with him through the towns to look at the body, while Professor Flint also helped to remove the traumatized students from the Village. Longbottom and Slughorn stayed with the Aurors, investigating what happened.

"So, one person alone eliminated all these dark wizards?" Mr. Moody couldn't believe the reports after reading it, after all, all the cuts were made by two blades, when there was no transfiguration spell.

Everything indicated that one person alone had done a massacre using blades, something that wizards didn't do, or at least Moody had never seen it in his entire Auror career.

"Professors, do you know anything?" He asked at the end.

Longbottom and Slughorn thought for a moment but shook their heads. They didn't know anyone capable of such feats.

"I don't know who it was, but we saw a bit of their skill, and we saw that they are very good at transfiguration, turning stones into swords and hitting targets in the air. In all these years, I've never seen anything like it. Even the dark wizards seemed to fear him, as they ran from the streets, fleeing from this user," Professor Slughorn spoke.

Moody did not seem pleased; all the Aurors used Revelio in the area, but they found nothing that could lead to this man. He hadn't attacked any children, only dark wizards, but he acted so brutally and mercilessly.

"First an attack by these dark wizards... Torturing Hogwarts students and even killing them, and we had to deal with the surviving students... Now we are investigating someone who killed all the dark wizards in this manner..." Alastor Moody didn't know what to say about this. After all, this was completely different from the initial proposal when he came here with the call for help."

"Mr. Moody, we've found a witness," another Auror approached the three.

"Are you going to say it's a student again? The students tried to tell what they saw and didn't even know what to say, or what it was. They just saw the wizards being massacred. That doesn't help us at all," Moody spoke, unsatisfied.

"No, sir, it's the owner of the Three Broomsticks. She took down some dark wizards and saw it personally," he informed.

Mr. Moody raised an eyebrow. "Where is she?" he asked immediately.

"I'm here, if you're looking for me," the woman approached with her heavy English countryside accent.

"Did you see what happened?" Mr. Moody asked.

"Yes, I managed to take down 3 dark wizards while protecting the case of students at the Three Broomsticks. I would never let any fool mess in my bar," she spoke with a stern tone. "However, when I expected more wizards to attack me, I started to see them being massacred by someone dressed in black, wielding blades in his hands. He could even transform those blades into his own wand. I've never seen anyone do that. But what was more astonishing was his way of moving; he used a kind of apparition, but he moved in a burst of shadows. It was strange but so fast and deadly that no ninja had a chance while they died at the hands of the masked man," she murmured as she thought back to the scene.

"Whatever that person was, they were massacring everyone brutally, and I even felt satisfied seeing it. Those idiots finally met someone crazier than them," she gave her final consideration without caring about speaking to a magical police officer in such a manner.

Moody heard this and was forced to frown while looking at the professors expecting some response. But Slughorn was shaking his head, unknowing, despite the information being quite impressive. But Longbottom seemed to have a sparkle in her eye, yet she said nothing.

Mr. Moody couldn't help but sigh, seeing that he wouldn't get anywhere here. "Well, anyway, let's start cleaning up this mess. Identify all the bodies and let's take them to the Ministry, about the students... it's better to leave that to the headmaster when he arrives," he spoke at the end.

At that moment, an explosion occurred in the street with a Phoenix appearing with an old man, walking through the streets. It was the headmaster himself, looking at everything with stunned eyes. There were students and dark wizards dead, while the students appeared dead from torture without any trace of blood. The dark wizards were mutilated while their blood spread all over the place. There were bodies without arms, hearts pierced, and, mainly, without their heads. While one body lay on one side, the head was on the other side of the street, after rolling. It was a brutal scene. He quickly looked at those present, seeking answers as they began to report, and it didn't take long for reporters to also arrive at the location with other teams of Aurors. Hogsmeade had become a total mess at this moment.
