Housekeeper in the dungeon

chapter 18

Episode 18

Then someone asked.

“So you’re saying that lying on that bed gives you a 20% recovery buff?”

Hee-Na nodded.

“I guess so. Of course, I didn’t think about the recovery buff, but…….”

“Can you prove that’s your girl’s ability?”

However, Choi Seung-hoon continued to bite at Hee-na’s skill until the end.

It wasn’t a great skill, but it made Hee-na a little angry that he seemed to doubt her abilities.

“Then let’s try it on the floor here. See if it buffs or not?”

So I suggested that I would never normally make it.

“Sure! Let’s check it out and see what it can do!”

Choi was happy to lay down the board. He crossed his arms and began to observe the situation.

The onlookers watched with bated breath, curious to see what Hee-na could do.

Her face tingled from all the stares. However, Hee-na opened her mouth as if she didn’t care.

“Do any of you have any blankets? Can you bring me a few? I’ll use the futon in the break room to make a bed for you because they might not believe me if I use my skills.”

She had to have something to show for her trouble.

At Hee-Na’s request, the staff gathered a few colorful blankets from the office. Roughly enough for one person to lie on and cover.

Hee-Na knelt on the floor and cast the skill.

Her hands moved quickly as she made a futon out of the blankets.

It only took a few seconds, since it was just a few blankets.

“Done.”

Hee-Na stood up from her knees and gestured to the cozy futon.

It was a bed made of a few fluffy blankets, but it had a strange magic that made people want to crawl into it and lie down right away.

They did. The pile of blankets looked just as cozy.

“Who wants to lie down?”

I asked, looking around, and a few hands shot up. She gestured to one of them.

Hunter gingerly slipped into the blanket and exclaimed in disbelief.

“Oh my god, I just laid a blanket on the ground and it gave me a 20% healing buff!”

“Really?”

When Choi Seung-hoon squinted in disbelief, Hee-na encouraged him to lie down on the futon made of blankets as well.

“If you don’t believe me, you should lie down too, Hunter.”

Even though the blanket would still have the Comfortable Bed skill on it after the other Hunter had laid down and gotten up once, Hee-na fluffed and organized it once more.

She wanted to show Choi Seung-hoon the error of his ways.

Hee-na grumbled to herself and waved her hand.

‘You don’t believe me, wait and see! I’ll surprise you!

The system window popped up, announcing Hee-na’s intentions.

“Wow, you’re trying everything.”

Meanwhile, Choi Seung-hoon grunted and crawled into the futon. He was so big that his feet stuck out when the blanket was pulled over him, which was funny.

But he settled into the blanket with a very serious expression.

“Hmmm. That really buffs.”

He seemed to read the system window that popped up in front of him…….

“……Drat.”

He snored, half-open, and fell asleep.

“What the hell, did he fall asleep?”

The people looked down at Choi Sang-hoon in disbelief.

Leaving him in the corner of the hallway, a strange nervous battle began.

“No, if you had an employee with such a recovery buff skill, shouldn’t you have put him in charge of the hunters’ break room?”

“Normal employees are also exhausted and tired from their workloads, so why should Hunters be the first ones?”

The Hunters and regular employees started arguing over Hee-Na.

Everyone here had lain on the bed in the fifth-floor break room.

Now that they’d gotten a taste of Hee-na’s ‘cozy bed’ skill, they wouldn’t be able to easily adjust to a normal bed.

“What should we do?

Hee-na was sandwiched between them, unable to do anything but watch. It wasn’t entirely up to her to decide where she was or wasn’t going to be.

“What’s going on?”

Just in time, Kim Hwa-soon, the head of the environmental beautification team, appeared, pulling Hee-na out of the crowd.

“Since you’re part of my team, I’ll take care of organizing the cleaning area.”

The people gathered around the table shouted.

“We’ll call the team leader and put in a proposal for beautification!”

“We all have a right to this kind of touch!”

“Right, right, right!”

But their shouting didn’t last long, as Woo Min-ah, sensing the commotion in the building, scurried out.

“Hey, what are you guys doing there? Stop making noise and disturbing the work, and go back to the hunters’ area!”

With a fierce look (and weapon), Umina dispersed the Hunters.

The Hunters dragged Choi Sang-hoon, who was sleeping on the floor, with them.

The regular employees followed their superiors’ orders and went back to their offices.

Eventually, only Hee-na, Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon, Woo Min-ah, and one representative from the general staff remained in the noisy hallway.

Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon and Woo Min-ah were confronted by Hee-na.

After hearing the story, Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon seemed to be lost in thought for a moment, and Woo Min-ah laughed while holding her stomach.

“You made such a fuss over a bed? Your skills are really useful in real life.”

She went on to explain that it wasn’t a problem at all that she had used this skill to make the bed.

The problem was that now everyone would want to sleep in her bed.

Hee-Na sighed inwardly.

‘It’s a good thing I didn’t use the skill improperly…….’

Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon patted Hee-na’s shoulder in relief. It seemed to indicate that he had something to say.

“Go ahead, Ms. Kim.”

Hee-na nodded, and Team Leader Kim opened her mouth.

“It seems like things have gotten a little complicated. Are you up for the job, by the way?”

“Yes. I’ve gotten in trouble for using my skills recklessly……. Other than that, the work is fun and everyone is nice and friendly.”

“I can see that because you’re doing a better job than I expected.”

Hee-Na ducked her head at the team leader’s compliment.

“Thank you for the compliment.”

“No, Hee-Na. It usually takes me about three months to get used to this job, but you’re doing it perfectly in a month, so that’s great.”

She patted Hee-Na on the back encouragingly. The touch was soothing.

“Even so, we tried to rearrange the division of labor, because normally, each team member is responsible for two floors, but since Hee-na is new, we only gave her one floor.”

Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon explains, and Woo Min-ah interjects.

“Then the other floor that Hee-na will be in charge of is the 8th floor, which has a break room for Hunters. That way, both Hunters and regular employees will be satisfied.”

Team Leader Kim nodded at Woo Min-ah’s plan, but showed concern.

“Yes, that might work, but the area used by the Hunters is a bit hard to clean, so it might be a bit difficult for Hee-na, who is a new employee. Are you sure?”

Hee-Na thought for a moment, then realized she didn’t have much of a choice.

If she took over one of the two break rooms, there would surely be another loud commotion.

She didn’t want to do that.

Eventually, Hee-Na agreed to take on the eighth floor and opened her mouth.

“I’ll take both the fifth and eighth floors.”

“I’m sorry, Ms. Hee-Na. You’ve suddenly doubled your workload.”

Team Leader Kim Hwa-soon’s voice was apologetic. Hee-Na shook her head as if it was no big deal.

“It’s okay, I was going to have to clean two floors at some point anyway, I just got the job a little sooner than I expected. I can work a little faster because one of my skills is cleaning, and I’ve cleaned places much dirtier than this one.”

“Then it’s settled, I want you to clean up the fifth and eighth-floor break rooms and show me your skills!”

Woo Min-ah clapped her hands together to signal the wave. In response, Hee-Na hastily opened her mouth as if she had something to say.

“Well, instead of me…….”

“Instead of?”

Woo Min-ah nodded innocently, but suddenly, three pairs of eyes turned to Hee-na, wondering what kind of conditions she wanted to impose.

Hee-na felt a little embarrassed and said.

“Instead of ……, can I put an apron and a headband on top of what I’m wearing now? I have an outfit buff.”
