House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men

Chapter 75: Gold II

(Drakken's POV)

"My Lord." Mya said as I walked inside the cave, "I have begun."

I raised an eyebrow, "Is that so?" I said, "Quite the initiative you are taking."

Dara Lannister walked behind me, "What is going on?" She said, "That....that is a lot of gold..."

I saw that there was a massive mountain of gold in front of us, taking up the majority of the cave near Harrenhal. It literally formed a mountain, piling up to the top as Mya stood at the base of the pile, a massive bulging black heart in front of her on the ground.

I felt the pulsating magic power from the heart, giving off a green glow as Mya placed her hand on it. Next to Mya, there was two goat corpses that were covered in blood already as small pieces of bone were set next to them.

I walked up to Mya, "You have everything ready?" I asked her, "The necessary parts?"

"As you have commanded, My Lord." She said with a smile, "Two goat corpses, three pieces of Balerion's bones, and three of the Cannibal's claws."

She held the massive black knife that I had gifted her, the one that can cut through any flesh. It was the same one I crafted years ago and had her use on Balerion, taking pieces of his flesh and bone. I do wonder how that big guy is doing at the moment.

"Can someone tell me what is going on?" I heard Dara asked

I looked at her, "Stay where you are, girl." I said seriously, "What you are about to witness is not something that anyone can handle."

She frowned, "Try me."

"Hm." I said with a smile, "If you say so."

Mya chuckled, "This one is quite feisty." She said, "Will you keep her?"

"I have not decided." I told her, "Why, are you jealous?"

"Hm, not really." Mya said, "Shall we begin?"

I nodded, "Go ahead."

Mya then stabbed the dragon heart with the knife and there was a bright beam of green light that erupted from it. A mark under her left eye then appeared, glowing brightly as she began to chant under her breath.

I crossed my arms, "Just like I taught you, eh?" I said with a smile, "Continue."

Mya closed her eyes and ran the knife down, causing the heart to exude blood that spilled all over the ground, soaking the earth and bits of the gold that were littered around. She then removed the knife and stepped back, swinging in the air and spraying blood all over the pile of gold.

"Dragon of Creation...."

She emitted a slight blue aura from where she stood as her hand began to glow brightly, exuding some steam as her body temperature rose. This was an after-effect of the ritual that only she can perform aside from me. It was something she begged me to teach her as she was elated to learn my techniques. I did not mind if she learned since she was very loyal to me.

She pointed the knife at the corpses of the goats and opened her eyes, looking at them as she kept chanting.

"Claws of Reform....."

The Dragon Heart erupted with tendrils of black ether spread all throughout the pile of gold and wrapped around the goat corpses, fusing the bones to them as they were dragged towards the gold and the heart.

"Become One With The Dragon God...Rebirth of The Great One.....Shape Thyself...."

Mya then raised the knife into the air and brought it back down to the heart, piercing the top of it as it released a wave of pressure.

"W-What?!" I heard the girl exclaim, "What is going on?!"

"Quiet." I said, "This is merely the first stage."

I saw that the dragon heart erupted with golden flames as the black tendrils continuously spread all over the gold.

"Rise...."

Mya pulled the knife out and stepped back yet again as she looked at the massive pillar of golden flames that began to erupt, swirling around as the black tendrils expanded greatly.

"Hm....." I said with a smirk, "This is going far better than I thought."

"Smoother than The Guardian..." Mya said as her mark began to dim, "Shall you take over, My Lord?"

I nodded as I stepped forth and raised my hand, shooting out several currents of black ether toward where the Heart was.

"Draconic Life"

The ground began to shake violently as the gold began to fuse itself with the flames, swirling towards the Heart as a loud howl was heard.

"Oh..!" Mya said, "It lives!"

I saw that from the flames, a single golden hand burst forth, having massive claws that tried to grasp the air.

I clenched my hand, "There you go." I said with a smirk as the flames fully swirled into the single point, a bright golden light shining, "A new Draconic being; a Lindwyrm."

I saw as the light subsided, revealing a massive scaled creature that had the body of a serpent, two massive forelimbs that had sharp golden claws, and a large dragon's head with four golden ram horns that exuded liquid gold.

It collapsed to the ground as it let out a deep growl, its eyes closed as it began to writhe slowly. It was not that large, smaller than the Guardian but it was at least three times longer.

"Wake." I commanded

The Lindwyrm's eyes shot open, glowing bright golden as it opened its maw and released steam. It then straightened up, pushing its upper body with its two forelimbs as it looked at me.

"It is beautiful...." Mya said

The Lindwyrm then lowered its head as it let out a rumble, its body glowing slightly as its scales began to slowly coat themselves with a layer of gold. I scanned it carefully, seeing that there was no visible defects on it. I could feel its heart, beating perfectly, its organs were working as intended and there was an abundance of magic power in it.

It was not a failure.

"Perfect." I said, "She is perfect."

I looked at Mya, she was entranced with the sight of the golden beast as she held the knife.

"A golden goddess....." She said with a smile

"Hm. That is one way to put it." I said as I turned around

I then saw that Dara Lannister was merely staring at the Lindwyrm, her eyes wide open as she stood there, frozen.

"What...." She started, "What did I just witness?"

"My power, obviously." I said as I began to walk past her, "Don't stare too long, my draconic beings are inherently dangerous. One wrong move and you're dead."

"What use do you have for it?" Dara said as she looked at me

I stopped and looked at her, "Gold." I said, "It's that obvious, no? I wanted gold, that is all."

"Unlimited Gold....unlimited wealth."

(Third Person POV)

[King's Landing]

"Aemon, reconsider!" Lady Jocelyn said, "You cannot be serious!"

She was following her husband, The Prince, as he rushed down the halls.

"There is no other choice!" Aemon said, the prince had a serious scowl on his face, "I have to go to Harrenhal and make a deal with Drakken!!"

"Your Father will not approve!" Jocelyn cried, "Please, my love-"

"I don't care if he doesn't approve!" Aemon cut her off as he stopped and looked at her, "He is my son, Jocelyn! Our son! And he is ill! I would do anything to save him!!!"

Jocelyn grabbed his hands, "But not this..." She said, "There has to another way.....we must pray to our Gods....please, our Faith must not waver!"

Aemon pulled away, "You do not understand, Jocelyn." He said seriously, "You don't know of the power that he holds. He has killed me thousands of times and every time, he brought me back. He has placed me under so much pain, so much torment...I know he has the power to heal Aenys of his disease....it has been so long....."

"Aenys will survive...I know it...he is strong..." Jocelyn said with tears in her eyes, "But doing this.....it is not right!"

"I don't care." Aemon said as he walked away,

"Anything for my son."
