Why does she have to spread rumors?
Naruto held his head, feeling a growing headache as he mentally added Haruno Sakura to his list of "people to deal with later."
One day, he'd teach her a lesson.
She had only talked to Hinata, his future wife, about some misunderstanding involving him and Sasuke. Now, Hinata had shown up, worried about Naruto's "hobbies," all thanks to that big mouth!
Naruto faced Hinata, who looked at him nervously, her shy demeanor making her adorable yet awkward. "Hinata, I'm a normal person, okay?" he said with a sigh, hoping to end this strange conversation.
Hinata, normally very introverted, especially when Naruto was around, had clearly gathered her courage just to speak to him. She relaxed, offering him a warm smile. "That's... good to know." Her shoulders eased, though she didn't immediately leave. Instead, she took another nervous breath. "I noticed you seemed troubled, Naruto-kun... If I can help with anything... I'd like to."
Naruto's heart softened. His future wife cared about him already. He hesitated, then offered, "Alright... You see, I just need some new clothes, but the shopkeepers won't sell to me. Could you help me?"
Hinata blinked, surprised. "Why wouldn't they sell clothes to you?"
Naruto gestured for her to watch as he entered the closest clothing shop. Moments later, a loud voice echoed from within: "Get out, monster! My shop doesn't welcome your kind. Don't come in here again!"
Naruto walked out, hands in his pockets, expression calm despite the familiar sting of rejection. Hinata's eyes shimmered with sadness for him.
"Hinata... would you mind helping me?" he asked softly.
Hinata, looking determined, nodded. "Of course!"
Handing her some money, Naruto watched as she entered the shop. But, soon enough, the same angry voice rang out again: "Get lost, girl! You're here to buy clothes for that monster? I won't sell to you either!"
Naruto's patience ran out. He stormed back inside, picked the shopkeeper up by his collar, and slammed him into a wall. "Enough," he said coldly, tossing money onto the counter as he left, the clothes in hand, with Hinata following.
Once outside, Hinata, slightly shaken, looked up at him with teary eyes. "I'm sorry, Naruto-kun. I... I couldn't handle it myself."
He ruffled her soft hair, smiling gently. "You helped me, Hinata. That's more than enough."
Hinata's face flushed pink, and she nodded, beaming at him.
Just then, Naruto noticed a familiar figure approaching—a member of the Hyuga clan branch house, looking worried as they called out, "Miss Hinata! Are you alright?" Their gaze shifted to Naruto, tinged with wariness.
Naruto, sensing that he'd have to let her go, took a step back. Leaning in, he whispered to Hinata, "Don't worry, one day, no one will stand in our way."
Hinata's cheeks turned even redder. Had Naruto just... was he confessing? She felt her heart pound, barely able to process his words as the branch house member escorted her away.
After they left, Naruto glanced down at his new clothes, pleased to see they fit well. He smiled to himself, admiring his wife's taste. It seemed they shared the same sense of style.
As he prepared to finish his errands, another issue dawned on him. He needed more daily items, but his limited transformation jutsu meant he risked getting recognized.
At that moment, his peripheral vision caught sight of a familiar shade of pink hair—Haruno Sakura. He took a deep breath, deciding it was time to address the real cause of his day's troubles.
"Naruto!" she stammered, backing away slightly as he approached. When it was clear she couldn't escape, she sighed and muttered, "Fine, I apologize! Whatever it is, I was wrong."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Did you tell Hinata about what you saw yesterday?"
She blinked, then shrugged unapologetically. "Yeah, I did. But hey, Naruto, Hinata's clearly got a crush on you! She deserves to know if... well, if you have some other interest."
Naruto rolled his eyes. "There's nothing between me and Sasuke. We're just friends."
Sakura smirked, skeptical. "Sure... You're the only one who hasn't realized how it looks to everyone else."
Naruto sighed, his patience thinning. He couldn't believe she was this persistent. With a quick move, he swatted her playfully but firmly on the arm. "Just drop it. Or help me with something if you really want to make it up to me."
Sakura frowned, slightly surprised. "Like what?"
"Buy me a mask," Naruto replied.
Her eyes lit up, as though the idea excited her. "Sure! I'll get you two! Two big ones!" she added, with exaggerated enthusiasm.
