Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Rises the new!
"Oh… you were right." Said the Ravenclaw student looking at the panting professor.
Obelia put in a disgusted face looking at the Professor and turned around to her desk, "I wish I was wrong." She then felt a thug on her cloak and turned to Draco who was next to her.
"I can see why you don't like him…" Obelia put on a confused face when she turned to look at him.
'I hate him because he is annoying? Why do you hate him?' She wanted to ask but noticed the Professor approaching his desk and decided to ask later.
"H-hello students, I will be teaching Defense against the Dark Arts." Obelia tilled her head noticing the Professor still hadn't caught his breath and panting.
'What the hell could have gotten him so tired? Was it Vo-' Obelia's thoughts were interrupted by a tap on the shoulder, she turned around and noticed the Ravenclaw from before.
"My name is Marcus by the way, yours?" He whispered, glancing at the Professor and noticing him out of focus.
"Obelia." Keeping the chat short she quickly raised her head a focused on what the professor was chatting about.
"M-my name is Professor Quirrell, I…" Obelia began to drift off once again, this time thinking about something different.
'So this year it's the Sorcerer's Stone or whatever, what was next year again?…' She began to feel pain in her head but didn't think about anything else, she had her mind set on remembering some things. 'The chamber of secrets? What was that again?' She was starting to feel dizziness and began to bite the inside of her mouth. She started to taste iron in her mouth but that didn't snap her out of thought only pushing her to try to find answers, 'Isn't there snakes in that movie?…'
Obelia suddenly felt a chill down her neck and began to look around, unintentionally locking eyes with the Professor. '… Something is wrong with him… and it's not the Voldemort.'
Obelia begins to remember how the people in this world act differently from what she knew, 'Draco is kinder, Dumbledore is crazy, Snape is scarier, what's wrong?' If she didn't know better she would think everything was just fine, but to her, it felt like danger was near, and it was heading straight at her.
___
"Ugh… why did that class so long? It felt like an eternity." Obelia said walking out the Draco. Both of them were making their way to the dining hall slowly.
"Can you… tell me why you hate him?" Draco asked glancing at Obelia who was looking out the wide windows of Hogwarts in a daze.
"Draco… what would you do if the Dark Lord comes back? Would you become a Death eater?" Obelia asked, she remembered Draco's father was a death eater, but wasn't sure if Draco was one himself. 'Death eaters follow Voldemort and try to purify wizards right?' Obelia started to try and remember what she had heard about them but couldn't remember anything more.
"Well father is a death eater, but mother often says loyalty to the family is the most important thing and not becoming one, as it's painful," Draco said turning to Obelia wondering why she would ask such a question. He noticed Obelia walk closer to him their shoulders almost touching.
"What if… I became the next dark lord?" Obelia said whispering in a voice so small it didn't even echo in the large and empty halls. Draco and Obelia both stopped walking and he turned to her.
"W-what?" He asked, not sure if he had heard correctly. He began to carefully look around now noticing the empty halls and started to feel chills down his spine.
"Let's talk after dinner, you need to see to believe," Obelia said now walking faster to make it to dinner on time. "And as for why I hate the Professor,… well he isn't the brightest, honestly I just don't like fools."
___
Dinner was already over and both Draco and Obelia were walking to the common room of Slytherin, but took another turn before reaching the door.
"Let's head out, don't worry about getting caught, I've learned from my previous failure," Obelia said, opening a wide window and reaching her hand out for Draco.
"Is this a good idea?" Draco asked, he started to doubt his father's source of information. He remembered his father telling him how she was a one-of-a-kind genius but now he wasn't sure.
"Draco, let's fly." Obelia yanked Draco's hesitant hand and jumped out the window, she quickly pulled out a red vile from her Diamond earring and drank it.
'When you're faced with death you feel the need to do whatever it takes to survive,' she reminded her Uncle's words carefully and knew if she had drunk the bottle sooner her spell wouldn't have been ask strong.
"To Gin!" She wasn't sure where the house-elf would be but house-elfs rarely leave their master's home, so it was the first place she could think of that was safe.
___
"Ugh… what was that?…" Draco said, feeling his head about to split in two. "I-I think I'm gonna barf-" Draco started to gag and Obelia took that time to rise from the head wooden floors and look at the now clear manor they had arrived in.
"Sorry for the ruff landing Draco, I'm still pretty new a teleporting long distance." Obelia said before starting to gag as well, the red liquid always left a bitter taste in her mouth, especially after drinking so much.
"Gin looks like you did a pretty good job, everything here is spotless," Obelia said touching a wooden table without a single speck of dust. "There is a common room, right? Guide me there." She said grabbing Draco who was still on the floor and dragging him along.
"Y-yes young master," Gin said before quickly making his way into the vast halls of the manor.
"This manor… does it have a name?" Obelia asked, she thought about placing a waypoint and connecting it to one of her teleportation marbles to come whenever, but for that to happen she would need to know the place very well.
"It's called Syon Manor, but your uncle said you can change it whenever young master," Gin said opening the door to a large common room with a large desk at the center.
"This is good, now both of you sit," Obelia said sitting down and signing for them to do the same, both of them glanced at one another before Draco sat across from Obelia and Gin deciding to sit on the ground. Obelia thought it was strange but didn't comment any further and clapped her hands.
"Now…what are your thoughts on me becoming a Dark Lord?"
