Himura (MHA)

Chapter 18: Himura's estate

Ryuji was delighted with the village of Himura. It was located outside the city of Musutafu, among the hills and rivers. A huge area, intended exclusively for members of the Himura family. Several rich-looking, European-style houses with their own swimming pools, servants, fresh air and views of nature. The area was fenced with a concrete wall 2.5 meters high with sharp peaks, as if to say to the guest: "Be careful, the Himura can respond very painfully." In the center of the settlement stood the most important building - the estate of the lord of the Himura head, and his name was Otoru Himura, he was already eighty years old.

Teruko sat quietly under the terrace, on a comfortable chair, while the servants set the table. Ryuji thought: "She feels too comfortable here." While they were waiting for the head, the servants brought food to the common table under the canopy on a beautiful wooden platform. Ryuji was surprised and immediately became hungry, but Teruko interrupted him.

-That's not the custom. In the family circle, everyone starts eating after the head's speech. - She began to teach lessons in proper behavior. When Otoru arrived with Oda, Teruko hugged Oda - her youngest son, whom she had not seen for many years, and only snorted at Otoru.

-I see you are still strong, husband. - Teruko said in a condescending tone.

-And I am glad to see you. - said the old man. - It's a pity that Nobu is not with us. I will use all my strength to fix it. And now you will tell me, already in the family circle, without cameras and the police. What happened there? - he looked insistently at his wife. Ryuji sat quietly.

-Basically... - she poured tea into a mug - ...if you do not take into account the disappearance of Nobu and the intervention of All for One, then everything went well. - Ryuji didn't recognize the old lady from before, she had become cold-blooded and calculating.

- Wait, I don't understand! - Ryuji stood up abruptly from the table.

- What don't you understand, young Ryuji? - Otoru asked him.

- Y-you mean... Nobu and I were originally planned for birth, and even the destruction of the village?

- Why would we destroy the village? However, I must say, All For One's intervention helped us bring you to our family. Now you are part of our family - Himura.

- Himura... a-and who is All For One? - Ryuji realized that Teruko acted as a security guard for her grandchildren, being not in the settlement, but in another village. And when danger arose, she took them into the family, but Nobu could not be found, the chances of a five-year-old child surviving in the wild are slim. Also, Nobu could be held captive by All For One, or so they thought. That's why Ryuji wanted to know who All For One was.

- It's a long story.

Ryuji had a serious conversation with the leader, he had to understand that he was Himura now, not Tetsu.

The Himura clan had long been very influential, but with Otoru as the only descendant, the former influence began to gradually awaken, but rumors continued to circulate among the shadow world that this was the calm before the storm. Otoru had a younger sister, Rei Himura, with a powerful ice quirk, he married her off to Todoroki Enji for a significant dowry and land. For the money, he rebuilt this settlement and began renting out houses to all sorts of rich people who wanted to settle outside of Musutafu.

Teruko gave birth to two children from Otoru, the elder Nami Himura and the younger Oda Himura. Nami Himura is the mother of Nobu and Ryuji.

- So you are my grandparents. - He looked at Otoru.

-Nobody has ever called me grandpa, ha-ha. What a brat. - He was pleased to hear the confession from his grandson, but Nobu's fate continued to lie like a dead weight on his heart.

-If there is even the slightest chance to save Nobu, we must find out where All For One is. - Ryuji was determined, he did not want to lose his brother as well.

Everyone encouraged such a desire to cling to family.

-It's not that simple, All For One is very dangerous, and the place where he is hiding is unknown even to us. And even if we knew, he is incredibly strong and smart - we do not have enough strength to deal with him. Our family has known him for a very long time, sometimes we even cooperated. If we attack first, his gaze will fall on us and already more hostile than before. - Otoru summed up.

Oda Himura had a law degree and was a lawyer, perfectly knows Japanese laws, but does not have a spark for the shadow world of crime like his father Otoru. His ability - Ice Clone - allowed Otoru to create a complete ice copy of a person and completely control him or bring him to automatic behavior. In their family, no one went to a doctor to check for a quirk or recorded its properties in the State Registry of Quirks. In Himura, it is customary to cultivate a quirk on your own, study it and train it, like personal fencing skills during feudal Japan, the era of the samurai.

Oda and his family believed that the state, with such laws and free quirk checks, conducted research, recorded the properties and entered them into the State Quirk Registry. The key word is "state". This meant that the state had information about your abilities, and if you committed a crime, breaking the law, even a brainless pot-bellied uncle behind a chair with access to cameras and this registry will be able to identify your identity, even if you hide it only thanks to the registry, by comparing the properties of the quirks. Therefore, for the shadow world of Japan, it is simply necessary to be secretive and value the features and details of your abilities.

"Then what should we do?" Ryuji asked.

"We just need to find out if All For One is holding our Nobu." Teruko said.

"Then I suggest we just get in touch, arrange a meeting. This person is very proud, but I think if I personally make contact, especially after he actually attacked members of the Himura family, violating the neutrality between us. I doubt that his goal was specifically Teruko and Ryuji. If this was an announcement of war, he would have destroyed you. If he kidnapped Nobu, then he could have the quirk he needed. The entire Shitara village disappeared, so he needed the quirks of others. - Old man Otoru thought out loud.

- Yeah. He just can't refuse to meet you. I doubt that his goal was to attack the Himura, and Nobu could have just gotten in the way. - Teruko agreed.

- Well, that sounds logical - Oda said.

- Then let's not waste time. - Otoru got up from the table and headed to the courtyard with his drivers and guards.

- Grandpa, where are you going? I want to too. - Ryuji asked, catching up with him.

- Alas, you cannot come with me, grandson. I need to reach out to old connections. You are not mature enough yet.

- No! - he stood by the car, blocking the way. - This is my brother too! And it is not only my brother who has disappeared, but many other people as well! - Otoru found in his eyes a determination worthy of the Himura family. He remembered his father's words, "Family is most important, Otoru. Even if you cannot do anything, there will always be a path that distinguishes us - the Himura from other people. Use everything you can do and do not shy away from your strength."

- Ahem... - the old man cleared his throat. - Since you insist. Just don't say later that you were scared.

When they had already left the estate, Teruko asked Oda before going to rest.

- Why didn't you go with them?

- Since my father is gone, I should take over his business. For Himura, family comes first, and...

- Money comes second, yes. - she continued - Well, don't overwork yourself, and I'll go lie down.
