Chapter 122: Quincies invade, The War begins

In the grand hall of the First Division, the captains of the Gotei 13 stood in silence as Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni faced an intruder. A group of Quincy warriors, led by a tall, imposing figure clad in white, stood unyielding before the Captain-Commander. Their leader, Yhwach, spoke with calm authority.

"Soul Society will fall. We, the Wandenreich, shall reclaim what is rightfully ours."

Yamamoto's eyes burned with fury. "You dare enter my Soul Society and declare war?"

Another one smirked. "This is not a declaration. This is a promise."

With that, the Quincies vanished as quickly as they appeared, leaving only tension in the air. At the next emergency captain's meeting, Yamamoto relayed the events. The room erupted into laughter, disbelief evident on the faces of even the most serious captains.

"Quincy? Declare war on us?" Byakuya said with a dry chuckle.

Shunsui Kyōraku tilted his hat. "They've got guts, I'll give them that."

But Yamamoto's stern expression silenced the room. "Do not underestimate them. This will be no laughing matter."

Ichigo and his group stood in the middle of the Dangai, surrounded by chaotic spirals of time energy. Harry hovered nearby, his hand glowing faintly with a protective barrier.

"This is the last time we take this route!" Ichigo grumbled, dodging a massive wave of energy.

"Blame Urahara," Harry quipped. "He insisted this was faster."

"I said it could be faster!" Urahara corrected, sweat beading on his brow as he recalibrated a portable device.

Meanwhile, Yoruichi's laughter echoed. "Think of it as a warm-up for whatever hell awaits us in Soul Society."

As they finally exited the Dangai, Harry muttered, "Let's hope we're not too late."

The once serene Seireitei was in ruins. Black smoke curled into the sky, and the ground was littered with the bodies of fallen Shinigami. The Quincies had unleashed their full might, their Sternritter warriors wreaking havoc.

Amid the chaos, Yamamoto stood like an unshakable mountain, his blade crackling with flames. Across from him stood Driscoll Berci, a hulking Sternritter who sneered as he raised his weapon.

Driscoll unleashed Chōjirō Sasakibe's stolen Bankai, summoning a massive bolt of lightning. Yamamoto didn't flinch.

"You disgrace his memory by wielding his Bankai," Yamamoto growled, his reiatsu flaring.

In a single, devastating strike, Yamamoto unleashed Ennetsu Jigoku (Flames of Hell), engulfing Driscoll in flames so intense that even his screams were silenced.

Byakuya and Renji faced Äs Nödt, whose very presence exuded dread. As Nödt's fear-inducing thorns pierced Byakuya, the noble captain staggered, his composure cracking.

"Renji..." Byakuya managed to say, blood dripping from his mouth. "Do not falter."

Renji roared, activating his Shikai, but Äs Nödt's power overwhelmed him. As Byakuya fell, Renji charged, only to be repelled brutally. Both Shinigami were left broken, their defeat echoing through the battlefield.

Komamura clashed with Bambietta, her explosive reiatsu detonating everything around them. His massive Bankai, Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō, loomed over her but was swiftly stolen.

Without his Bankai, Komamura fought valiantly, enduring blow after explosive blow. But Bambietta's relentless attacks left him gravely injured.

Kyōraku faced Robert Accutrone, a sharpshooting Sternritter whose speed rivaled any opponent Shunsui had faced before. The fight was brutal and swift, with Robert's bullets grazing Kyōraku more than once.

"Not bad," Shunsui muttered, his smile strained. "But I prefer my games to have better odds."

Despite his strategic genius, Kyōraku was left with serious injuries, barely escaping death.

Cang Du faced Hitsugaya with icy precision, his Bankai stolen early in the battle. Hitsugaya fought desperately, using every ounce of his remaining power to compensate.

"You've lost your greatest weapon, boy," Cang Du taunted, his attacks striking relentlessly.

Hitsugaya gritted his teeth, enduring the pain. But without his Bankai, the young captain was eventually overwhelmed and defeated.

Kenpachi Zaraki's laughter echoed through the battlefield as he tore through Sternritter after Sternritter. Driscoll Berci met him next, but without Sasakibe's stolen Bankai, Driscoll was no match for Zaraki's raw strength.

"Is this all you've got?" Kenpachi roared, slicing Driscoll in half. He moved on, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake.

Soifon cursed as BG9 stripped her of her Bankai, her strikes unable to break through his mechanical defenses. Without her ultimate weapon, she was forced into retreat, seething with frustration.

Hitsugaya, Komamura, and Byakuya, now all without their Bankais, fought desperately to survive against their foes.

When Ichigo, Harry, and the others finally emerged into the Seireitei, they were met with devastation. Bodies lay scattered, buildings crumbled, and the air reeked of blood and smoke.

Ichigo's fists clenched. "We're too late..."

Harry placed a hand on his shoulder, his eyes glowing faintly. "No, we're right on time. Let's make them pay."

The group charged into the fray, their reiatsu flaring as they joined the fight. The tides of battle had just begun to shift.
