Transfiguration
Being denied satisfaction to her curiosity only served to irritate the girl even further but she was far too proper to break the rules to get what she wanted. Nick was actually worried the girls head might pop with how her veins were pulsing under her skin and her clear anger. Hell her wand wasn't even in her hand and it was popping constantly to vent away the rampant magic energy she was exuding. Once seven hit Nick decisively sent the book into greed before leaving for breakfast and also for Hermione's safety.-
Having one of the golden trio die from an aneurism out of sheer rage at him would be very bad and Nick didn't want anything to do with it. 'Can wizards even have aneurisms?' he stopped in thought halfway to the great hall. 'They can just clear away the causes with magic right? So no?' he pondered deeply. This was a weird topic to fall in thought about but Nick was a weird individual so it wasn't anything new. He eventually made it to the great hall and ate some honied toast and bananas. Harry showed up at about 7:25 alongside Ron and Hermione who was apparently nagging them for sleeping in.-
She saw nick but seemed to decide to ignore him even though she was clearly still upset from earlier. Once the time for DADA started to draw near Nick left the great hall with Tracy and Daphne while making sure he was one of the first people there so he could snag a desk at the back of the classroom by the door. Nick didn't want to give Voldemort even a single chance to try and pull a fast one. No one seemed to care though so it wasn't a problem for the entire class.-
All they were taught today in the class was the second version of the same spell as yesterday which merely turned the color from red to blue. Nick once again ducked out the door the moment the class was dismissed and played it off that he couldn't stand the smell of the which his friends agreed with. He wasn't lying either as the room truly did smell horrible and was killing his nose. Astrology was no better than the first class since professor Sinistra once again forced a mass of information down their throats to try and get them to the interesting part of the subject.-
Everyone knew this of course but it didn't mean they enjoyed having to copy down a huge amount of information all at once. Lunch came after that and Nick once again ate his fill before heading to the Transfiguration classroom. Mcgonagall was indeed in the room waiting however she was in her Animagus tabby cat form on the desk. "Good morning professor." he said to the cat with a knowing grin that seemed to catch the teacher off guard. She merely nodded at him before he took his seat near the front of the room to get a close look at her transformation.-
If she realized this she made no motion to stop him so he assumed she was confident that he wouldn't learn anything useful from it. "Worth a shot though." Nick said with a shrug. Soon more and more students started to enter the room but nick was more focused on copying down the contents of the blackboard that had a spell and some rules on it. Not like normal don't do this kinda rules but transfiguration rules like the formula for most transfigurations.-
Once everyone was in the classroom Mcgonagall jumped off the table and transformed in mid air into her normal form. Most of the class oohed or awed at the trick but Nick merely smirked at the elderly witch who had the faintest look of amusement. "Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts. Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back , you have been warned." she said seriously before waving her wand turning her desk into a living breathing pig before turning it back all wordlessly.-
Everyone was excited about the class thanks to this display but quickly found out that they weren't going to be turning anything into animals for quite some time. Rather they were instead going to take a bunch of complicated notes before getting to a practical session. The entire first part of the class was dedicated to taking these notes. Nick was way ahead of everyone else however as he had started earlier and so was done before them. Tracy glared at him when he just sat there with a smug look while she was still writing. Mcgonagall specifically looked over his notes since he was already done but merely nodded in acceptance and left him alone.
