Harry Potter: The Lightning King

Nick points his flame sword at the ghosts who rushed at Harry making them back up. Some of the reluctant ghost spoke up as they back off.

"Nick, this isn't fair. You get to have Mr Potter blessing, but we are left with nothing" said Ghost #1

"Yeah, you can't be the only one who benefit from this" said Ghost #2

"Mr Potter, please turn me into a Dullahan" shout Ghost #1. After the ghost shout out, the other ghosts become more agitated.

Nick slash down his sword and then a fire blade flew toward Ghost #1 who was shouting. The fire hit Ghost #1, and it starts to wail in pain as he was covered in flames.

Harry step forward and stop Nick from killing the ghost "Nick, you made your point, ". As soon as Harry speaks up, Nick puts away his sword and then all the fire disappeared. Then Harry looks at all the ghost and after scanning most of their status, he said "I can tell that most of you are excited and wants to evolve but you all should know Nick evolution is unique to him"

"So, are you saying, we can't evolve like Nick and become a Dullahan?" Said ghost #2

"You can't," said Harry. All the ghost who wants to evolve become disappointed and gloomy but suddenly continue speaking "but even if you can't become a Dullahan, you can become other magical creatures"

Harry thought about making his own "Night Parade of 100 Demons" like Nura: Rise of Yokai. The ghosts got excited when they heard Harry, and they would have rush Harry again but stop after remembering Nick flaming sword.

"Mr Potter, can you tell me what I can evolve to" said ghost #2. He feared Nick sword, but he really wants to evolve.

"I can tell everyone their evolution path, but I can't get it done all in one day" said Harry then he points at Nick and continue "I will let Nick pick 5 ghosts a day to evolve. Those who want to evolve, must be loyal"

Every ghosts who wants to evolve instantly swore their loyalty to Harry, while some ghost hesitated. After settling the ghost, Harry notices all the student was look at him and then he felt a shadow over his head. When he turns around, he saw the professors leaning over him.

"How did you do it , Mr Potter?" Questioned Snape.

"I would like to know as well," said McGonagall

Dumbledore just give Harry a nod expecting him to explain everything.

Harry lets out a sigh and spoke up "I read a lot of books on folklore before knowing that magical creatures exist. After reading about those humanoid magical creatures, I notice that some of them are curse human turn into magical creature or they were a cross between human and animal. While the other magical creatures have unknown origin. I trace that origin from many stories I've read and discovered that most humanoid magical creatures are the evolved from ghost"

"But that doesn't explain how you know their evolution route," said Snape.

"I'm a Beast Tamer and their evolution is based on their obsession or Bloodline for example, Nick's obsession with joining the Headless Hunt, makes him to completely remove his head. After I complete his wish, his soul become contented, and his stronger emotions allow him to evolve" explained Harry.

"I see, so you can see magical creatures evolution path. That explains the weird pets" Dumbledore look at the weasel that was on Ron shoulder.

Buck felt Dumbledore's gaze and glare back. Ron felt Buck changes and ask him" what is the matter, Buck?"

Buck looked away when Dumbledore turn away and said "nothing, I just sense another predator" then he continued eating with Ron.

Dumbledore turn his attention back to Harry "Harry, I should introduce you to an old friend of mines. He is also a Beast Tamer, and I bet you both will get along"

Harry thought of Newt Scamander and nod in agreement.

Then Dumbledore announced "Harry, you managed to help the ghost in Hogwarts evolve and help increase defenses in Hogwarts. 100 points for Gryffindor's house"

Everyone in Gryffindor's table cheered. As the professor returns to their table and start whispering to Dumbledore. They were praising Harry talent and ability, which is making Dumbledore happier.

After the feast was over Dumbledore introduce the new professor Quirrell as the new professor of The Defense against the Dark art. Then he introduced Petunia and Delila as teaching assistant.

Percy Weasley, prefect of Gryffindor led the first years through the moving stairs and then they stop in front of a painting of a lady.

"Password?" Ask the lady

"Caput Draconis" said Percy and he told everyone to remember it.

The painting turns into a door and open. Everyone entered, then Percy points out the direction to the boy dorm and girl dorm. Harry said goodnight to Hermione and left with Ron.Harry expects to share room with Ron and the other, but he realized he was assigned his own room. Harry went into his room, and he saw Steve was unpacking his brief case and arranging the room. Harry just lay down on his bed and check his status.

Harry remembered he got lucky over the past month. He managed to get 2 new skills (Chakra Control and Shuriken Jutsu) and 2 decent items (Peanut Popgun and Heracles's Book). He trade the useless system with Steve and then he train both skills to mid-level. Suddenly there was a knocking on his door and when Harry checked he saw Nick, so he asks, "is there anything else you need?"

"Yes, my lord I'm waiting for your first command," said Nick

"Just go on with your day. If I need anything I will call for you" said Harry and he left a Flying Thunder God's mark on Nick.

"Yes, my lord" Nick was ready to leave but was stop by Harry.

"Wait I need you to keep an eye out for a rat with missing thumbs," said Harry

Nick gave Harry a weird look and ask, "does rats have thumbs?"

"I meant missing fingers. Just bring me any rat that are missing any fingers," said Harry

"I will do my best to follow your order, my lord," said Nick then he rush off.

Harry decided to go to sleep early for his morning training.
