Harry Potter: Demon Monarch

Chapter 27: Chapter -27 Clearing Azkaban.

Chapter -27.

In the quiet Auror office building, Lester calmly opened the door leading to the first-floor hall and stepped out into the outside world.

Stepping back onto the grounds of Azkaban, Lester couldn't help but feel that this place and the office building were like two entirely different realms.

The three Aurors trailing closely behind him were immediately hit by a blast of icy wind the moment they exited the hall, making it feel like they had fallen into a freezing abyss, causing them to shiver uncontrollably.

Lester wasn't surprised by their reaction; even though these Aurors had served at Azkaban for many years, they spent most of their time inside the office building due to the presence of Dementors, only stepping outside occasionally to escort new prisoners.

So, it was natural for them to feel a bit on edge when leaving their cozy office space.

Noticing the three of them struggling against the cold, Lester frowned and waved his hand.

"Protego Diabolica!"

A ring of blue fire quickly surrounded Lester, expanding to form a protective shield that was big enough for ten adults.

This shield enveloped Lester and the three Aurors entirely.

The chilling winds that had been swirling around them dissipated the moment they met the large flame shield, as if a small puddle had met a roaring fire; upon contact, it was shattered, not even able to disrupt the shield's surface.

With the warmth of Lester's blue flames surrounding them, the three Aurors, who had been struggling earlier, felt a comforting warmth wash over them, granting them a renewed sense of security.

"Stick close!"

Lester turned back to remind Carson and the others, then pressed forward to lead the way.

With his impressive flame shield acting like a guiding light in the dark, Lester moved across the eerie fields of Azkaban, instantly drawing the attention of numerous Dementors.

The blue flame shield, large enough to cover a basketball court, radiated light bright enough to illuminate the surrounding area for hundreds of meters.

Dementors, who thrived in darkness and loathed the light, quickly sensed the presence of this surprising newcomer, Lester.

Just a few steps out of the Auror office, they soon came across a lone Dementor.

The Dementor was blissfully unaware of the danger, drifting aimlessly on the island.

As soon as they spotted the Dementor, Carson and the others tensed up, ready to draw their wands for the Patronus Charm.

After all, they believed that only the Patronus Charm could truly harm a dark creature like a Dementor in the entire wizarding world.

"You don't need to step in; just watch!"

Lester called back to Carson and the others, a sharp glint in his eyes as he gestured towards the Dementor. It was the perfect opportunity to show off his abilities.

Whoosh!

A blazing trail of fire shot from the protective shield around Lester, racing toward the Dementor with incredible speed.

The fierce flames crackled as they scorched the air around them.

"Uh? Huh!!!"

The wandering Dementor was struck directly by the fiery blast, emitting a few cries of anguish before being instantly reduced to ashes by the flames.

"Wow, that's impressive!" Carson, who was watching from behind, gasped as he saw the Dementor vanish in an instant, his eyes widening in disbelief.

It was well known that even the most experienced Aurors found it challenging to deal with Dementors, yet here was Lester, only 10 years old, who had effortlessly dispatched one. It was no wonder he was astonished!

Unlike Carson, who was amazed by Lester's fiery attack, Lester was deep in thought.

"I still need to take down 98 more Dementors to upgrade this spell!"

[ Lottery: 0 times (500,000 Fear Points/time) ]

Among the four spells he had mastered, only the Protego Diabolica had room for improvement, and it was one of Lester's most powerful area-of-effect spells.

If he could upgrade the Protego Diabolica to level 2 by taking down more Dementors, it would significantly aid his plan to create chaos at the Ministry of Magic tomorrow.

So, for the moment, Lester wasn't in a hurry to return to Azkaban with Carson and the others.

Instead, he confidently strolled around the small island of Azkaban, sweeping through the area along with Carson and the team.

In order to gain control over Azkaban, he first needed to eliminate the group of Dementors that thrived on fear and despair. Clearing out these Dementors would not only help him level up his spell but also enable him to manage the entire Azkaban more effectively.

Thus, Lester skillfully guided Carson and the others to circle the island.

Before long, they encountered three more lone Dementors.

With their tattered cloaks, ghostly skeleton-like forms, and the chilling winds that swirled around them, they were a persistent threat to Azkaban's environment.

Lester, having already claimed Azkaban as his territory, couldn't stand for this. With a casual wave of his hand, he launched three tongues of fire that swiftly reduced the three Dementors to ashes.

The sound of system prompts rang clearly in Lester's ears, signaling a 3-point increase in his Protego Diabolica proficiency.

"Awesome!" Lester's eyes sparkled with excitement. Accompanied by Carson and the others, he picked up his pace and began sweeping through Azkaban once more.

While a straight path to the prison would be the most direct route, Lester chose not to take it. Although a direct route would mean encountering many Dementors, it also risked letting some slip past them.

Instead, Lester opted for a semicircular approach, gradually moving toward the Azkaban prison while eliminating as many Dementors as possible, contributing to the overall cleansing of Azkaban.

Today, he was determined to thoroughly clear Azkaban, even if it meant pushing himself to the limit!
