Chapter 26: Chapter -26 The Swaying minds.
Chapter -26.
Lester glanced at Carson, whose face was flushed with anger and whose body shook with tension, knowing it was the perfect moment to offer him something advantageous.
"If you're prepared to follow my lead, I'll grant you everything you wish for!"
His assertive words resonated through the hall, blending with the crackling sounds of intense heat that seemed to seep into Carson's heart.
"I'll provide you with status and wealth."
"I'll make you a central figure in the wizarding community, a rising hero in the eyes of the people."
"I'll ensure your family enjoys a joyful life, allowing you to spend time with them every day."
As Lester's tone grew serious, he declared, "I'll help you rise step by step, crushing those pure-blood nobles who look down on you as if you're beneath them!"
Perched atop the giant python, Lester resembled an impassioned speaker, enthusiastically gesturing as he painted a vivid picture of a promising future for the three Aurors.
In that moment, his words felt like whispers from a demonic force, seeping into the hearts of the three Aurors.
Eventually, one of the Aurors guarding them couldn't resist the allure and knelt down.
Thud!
His knees struck the ground, creating a heavy thud.
The Auror looked up at the imposing Lester with admiration, his heart already lost in the enchanting future that Lester had described.
Next to him, Carson watched his colleague kneel in submission, feeling an overwhelming fear overshadow his excitement.
Despite Lester's depiction of a glorious future, Carson's primary emotion was fear.
It was all too familiar!
During the dark times of Voldemort's reign, he had been a young, ambitious Auror, eager to make a name for himself.
Voldemort would deliver similar speeches every day, rallying support from other wizards.
Back then, Voldemort was much like Lester, driven by ambition and fearlessness, promising a bright future that ignited the hopes of those present.
Ultimately, through just one speech, Voldemort amassed hundreds of followers.
Now, as Carson looked at Lester, brimming with confidence atop the python, promising to topple the pure-blood tyranny and genuinely uplift Muggle wizards, he realized that the wizarding world was on the verge of welcoming its third Dark Lord—perhaps the most formidable one yet.
Not only did he possess remarkable power at such a young age, but he also had an uncanny ability to sway people's hearts; with just a few words, he could make Aurors who had served for years yield to him.
If he grew even stronger, the wizarding world could face a significant upheaval.
"I am ready to submit to you, great lord!"
Finally, as the other two Aurors also knelt in submission, Carson surrendered to his deep-seated desire.
Regardless of whether Lester was the third Dark Lord, since the Ministry of Magic had failed to recognize his worth, he felt he had no choice but to seek a new path to follow.
Thud! Carson knelt down, formally expressing his allegiance to Lester!
Lester paused his speech, a flicker of surprise crossing his face as he observed the three Aurors kneeling sincerely before him.
He had finally taken an important step toward gaining control over all of Azkaban.
"Excellent."
Lester waved his hand, and the intense fire that had engulfed the room vanished like it was never there.
He then approached Carson, still on his knees, and ordered, "Hand me the portkey to the Ministry of Magic."
At Lester's command, Carson, now fully committed to supporting him, quickly stood and rushed to the third floor to retrieve a black brick.
He respectfully presented it to Lester, saying, "Great lord, here is the portkey to the Ministry of Magic."
Although Carson was unsure of what Lester intended to do with the portkey, he was determined to follow his leader's requests without question.
"This is the portkey?"
Lester examined the brick closely, feeling the magical essence emanating from it.
Honestly, if he hadn't sensed the magic, Lester might have thought Carson was trying to trick him with a mere piece of stone.
"Alright, everyone rise!"
Gently placing the black brick-shaped portkey in his pocket, Lester signaled for Carson and the other Aurors to stand.
As they did, the two Aurors who had also yielded to him stood respectfully, mirroring Carson.
Like him, they were Muggle-born wizards who hadn't been entrusted with much responsibility in the Ministry of Magic, merely assigned to guard the entrance.
Now that a powerful master was ready to accept them, they were eager to seize this opportunity.
"Soon, you will accompany me to Azkaban."
Looking at the three Aurors before him, Lester maintained a stern expression.
He wanted to determine if they had genuinely submitted to him or were merely acting out of pressure.
Sure enough, upon hearing they would have to cross most of the island and enter Azkaban prison, the three Aurors went pale with fear.
Nevertheless, they quickly composed themselves.
Having submitted to Lester, they knew they had to follow his orders without hesitation.
Lester had no ties to them, and if he didn't require their assistance, why would he offer them wealth and prestige?
Seeing their reactions, Lester nodded in satisfaction.
He had two main objectives for bringing these three Aurors to Azkaban.
The first was to demonstrate his incredible strength through these obedient Aurors, as those trapped in the cells ultimately revered power.
Although he had subdued all the prisoners with a small knife and taught them the language of rebellion, giving them a spiritual figure and a plan of action, if he lacked sufficient strength, those unruly dark wizards might not follow him, which could lead to chaos.
His second aim was to utilize the three Aurors as pawns; yes, he intended for them to serve as his instruments.
Lester knew that none of the prisoners were naive. If he truly let them cause trouble at the Ministry of Magic, aside from a few daring prisoners, the majority would be reluctant to follow.
Therefore, he needed to deliver an unprecedented speech at Azkaban!
A speech that could stir the emotions of every prisoner and make the entire magical world tremble!
Whether he could truly win over these prisoners depended on the success of his upcoming speech.
