Godslayer: Reincarnated with SSS Rank Cultivation System

Chapter 127: I Shall be Your Wife!

Wen Ran's eyes flashed with a sharp glint. "You're weak right now, so don't struggle. It will only make things worse for you, trust me." Wen Ran's voice was laced with a cunning smile, his intentions clear. He had no plans of letting go of this precious material. He had acquired the soul of a powerful cultivator, and he intended to use it to his fullest advantage. If I remember correctly from my past life, there were alchemists who could infuse souls into their pills, he thought, those vile cultivators slaughtered countless innocents, but they grew strong at an alarming pace. And with my technique, I can recklessly pursue that power without burning myself. How could I possibly pass up such an opportunity?

His mind was a whirlwind of dark thoughts, and the Ice Empress could feel every one of them. Her soul trembled uncontrollably, her very essence quaking at the malicious intent that radiated from him. She tried to flee, but after losing her inheritance to Wen Ran, her soul began to dissipate rapidly. Wen Ran's binding technique had stopped the process, but in doing so, it left her completely defenseless.

"Listen, little brother Wen Ran, how about we come to an agreement?" The woman's voice trembled with desperation as she begged, feeling herself drawn closer to him despite the bindings holding her in place.

Wen Ran's gaze remained cold and unmoving. "What else do you have to offer that would make you useful to me?" His tone was sharp, unwavering. He wasn't in the mood for negotiations or empty promises. He was prepared to end this if she couldn't prove her worth.

He didn't play around. He had the power to trap her soul in a pocket dimension using his new technique. Once in place, her soul would be unable to move, unable to grow. It would be a prison, a confinement that would lock her away forever. It was a technique that came with the system, and Wen Ran had already mastered it. The knowledge was encoded directly into his mind, and though he didn't understand the full extent of the system's origin, he was sure it was a power far beyond the reach of even gods. A technique so perfect, so precise, that even gods themselves couldn't have dreamed of it.

But there was something that made him cautious. This system, it was tempting—too tempting. Wen Ran knew that nothing came for free, especially not power this great. One wrong move, and he could be caught in a trap of his own making. So, he would exploit it, yes, but with a wary eye.

The Ice Empress could feel the weight of his cold stare, her options dwindling with each passing second. She opened her mouth again, her voice desperate, almost frantic. Experience more on My Virtual Library Empire

"I... I have something you can't refuse!" she practically screamed, the urgency in her voice piercing the silence between them. "I have information on those who possess divine auras in this world. I know about those who are the reincarnations of the gods you once slayed."

Her spectral eyes locked with his, full of desperation, her voice dripping with urgency. Any man in Wen Ran's position would most likely be unable to resist the allure of such beauty—one that could lead empires to war. It was tempting to accept the request of a woman so enchanting, but the cold, hardened heart of a once-powerful God Slayer had been tempered through countless battles, pain, and loss. Nothing could sway his judgment now.

"Heh, not bad," Wen Ran replied, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "You can read me well. How about this? Give me the information first, and then I'll consider letting you go after."

The woman's eyes flashed with disbelief. She scoffed, her pride momentarily overcoming her fear. "Do you think I was born yesterday? Like hell I'd just hand over the information without any guarantee. Where's your assurance you'll release me?"

Her tone was sharp and dismissive as if she still held some semblance of control. Yet, she had already forgotten that she was the one whose fate had been sealed in the hands of this youth.

"I don't know, you'll have to take my word for it," Wen Ran shrugged nonchalantly, pulling the woman even closer. Her ethereal form pressed against him, the sensation of her spectral body was strange but undeniable. She felt herself being compressed from above and below, as if trapped in a small, invisible box. She couldn't see it, but Wen Ran, in his heightened state, could clearly see the shimmering box of ethereal light that surrounded her, binding her in place.

"You!" The woman hissed in disbelief. Her pride, once towering over this world, now shattered by the circumstances. She, who had stood at the peak of power, was now reduced to a helpless pawn in the hands of this bastard.

"What you?" Wen Ran's voice was cold, as he exerted more power to further subdue her. His face remained calm, but inside, his body was screaming from the exertion. Every muscle seemed to strain as he manipulated the energy to squeeze the ethereal box tighter. It was taxing work for someone at his stage of cultivation, but he would push through. "If you want to live, I suggest you prove yourself more useful. Otherwise, I'll turn you into a pill. Flames can hurt souls, you know. The pain you'll experience will be unlike anything you've ever felt before. So, what's it going to be? Submit or die?"

The woman trembled, her pride and fear warring within her. For a long moment, she said nothing. Then, in a burst of frustration, she finally shouted, "Fine! If you help me reforge my body, I promise to be your wife for eternity and serve you with whatever you need. That's the best I can offer."

The words echoed in the cold air of the room, and for a fleeting moment, there was a silence that seemed to stretch forever.
