Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Start Of The Journey
I saw my brothers coming inside and i smiled as i turned to face them.
"Now that you both are here, I have some good news or bad news depending upon your reaction to said news." I explained as I saw my brothers were leaning in with anticipation.
"I will be leaving Asgard for the foreseeable future." I said bluntly.
"What?!?"
"What?!?"
Both brothers exclaimed simultaneously as they couldn't belive I had said what I did.
"I'm sure you have questions, I will answer them to the best of my abilities." I intoned.
"Why brother?" Thor asked and Loki nodded as if agreeing with the question.
"I suppose that is the only question that matters..." I started before pausing as I thought about how to explain my reasons without telling them about Hela as Odin had forbidden me to reveal her existence as he believed the two to be too young to be ready for that knowledge.
Knowing what I did about the future, I agreed as I knew that Loki doesn't even know his true parentage which would be a hurdle he'd have to deal with in the future. And, even though he is slightly less arrogant due to me knocking him down a peg, Thor still has much to learn.
With this knowledge I decided to give a semi believable answer.
"Father has asked me to leave Asgard to increase my strength and broaden my knowledge of the universe in preparation of his thoughts of me being the future king." I explained.
Instantly the two seemed to frown as they both believed that they should be King. I could already guess as to what they were thinking King so I decided to assuage their concerns.
"I am sure that I am only receiving this treatment due to the fact that I am the crown prince, but I am sure that father will give you both your own pilgrimage in the future. And, if I am being honest, the throne interests me little, if one of you can show yourselves to be competent, I would have no problem relinquishing my right to the throne."
Their eyes lit up at the possibilities emerging for them and I was glad to see their eyes light up with determination. I pulled the both into a hug, reluctant on part of Loki. At least that is what he made it seem like.
"Very well, I will be saying my farewell to mother and then I will be on my way." I said as I walked off.
.....
(Central Library)
I had entered the library where my mother spent a majority of her time. She turned to me and I could see the slight shock in her eyes as she walked up to me.
"I had thought your father to be boasting about your skills, but I can see the sheer number of 'Shadows' as you seem to refer to them as in your shadow. It certainly is a unique power." My mother said teasingly.
"Yes, I know father can be plenty boastful at times." I said in agreement.
"So I suppose this isn't simply a casual visit? Are you going to begin your journey to gain the necessary skills and experience to combat Hela?" My mother asked with some sadness evident in her tone.
"You are correct as always mother, but this is needed to gain the power I need to defeat my sister." I explained.
My mother nodded and hugged me and then gave me a kiss on the cheek as she wished me farewell and I walked to the docks where the ship's were located.
....
(On my new ship, The Black Pearl)
I had named the ship as such due to my love of the pirates movies and the black color that I had given it with a simple color changing enchantment.
'So my journey begins? I wonder where I should head to first, maybe Xandar?' I questioned.
After going through my knowledge of the MCU, I realized that my definite best option was Xandar, especially since It was the only coordinates that I was given from my father as we did not normally leave Asgard and the Nine Realms under it's protection.
The ship then slowly powered up, I entered the coordinates of Xandar and began my trek towards a new planet and a path towards power.
....
(A week later)
Despite being able to use the Jump Points to arrive there sooner, I preferred to take the long way. I had hopped that I would come across a way to get more shadow soldiers and I was in luck.
...
I had been traveling for quite a while and I came across a planet that seemed to have Ronan the Accuser's ship and another ship of similar design seemingly bombing a certain part of the planet, along with a smaller ship that passed right by them.
I recognized both the planet, called Torfa and the smaller Kree dropship. It looked to be the ship carrying the brainwashed Carol Danvers and her Kree crew.
'Holy shit, I'm right in the middle of the Captain Marvel storyline! Well, this should be interesting... I'm definitely going to shake things up a bit here, starting with Ronan's ship.' I thought excitedly.
I knew that I had to let Carol get Kreenapped by the skrulls before I made my move as I wanted to make sure she would get to C-53/Earth.
At least that was my original plan, but unfortunately my ship was discovered by the Accuser's ships and having decided their initial volley of sttacks on the planet's surface was enough for a distraction, they began to turn around to target me.
I had added a multitude of enchantments to the ship when I had time such as, durability, speed, maneuverability, autonomy, strengthen, blast protection, and mending.
'All these enchantments and I never thought to add a form of Camouflage?!?' I questioned aloud.
I now had two large ships heading my way. It wouldn't be long until I was within range of their guns.
'Hmph, if they think I'm easy prey, they're in for a rude awakening' I thought to myself with a mischievous glint in my eye.
