Seraph's crossbowmen reloaded with practiced ease, their bolts coated in a toxin that paralyzed any limb it pierced!

The toxins they used were the ones that Shinja had created that were capable of solidifying blood! The Zombies may not be able to feel pain or die from ingesting poison, but they still possess black or sometimes green blood in their bodies.

Below them, the ground was littered with fallen zombies—evidence of both the estate's formidable defenses and its inhabitants' relentless assault.

As Lucas and Gene continued to survey and call out positions, their reports became a guiding rhythm for their comrades' deadly dance.

Of course, they also had weapons in their hands and would shoot their guns from time to time in case it was necessary.

Shane watched as the battlecontinued… He wanted to be in the frontlines as well but with his Perception, his A.I., and other skills, he knew it was better to stand behind and provide assistance to any area's that had been breached or needed support.

After all, Shane had modified the Barriers, and it was protecting the inside of the estate!

To be exact, it was the Aegis Force that was working right now as their Barrier!

It was the Barrier Generator that he had found on the third floor of the Manor!

It was the first layer of their Barrier, followed by the Bulwark Beacon that was previously covering a larger area even outside the estate.

However, right now, the Bulwark Beacon was modified and was only protecting a smaller area where the noncombatants were staying, like Mr. Wadsworth, Anna, Eliot, and the others. Although they do have weapons in their hands, they would only go out to fight against the Zombies if it was truly necessary.

As the Runner Leader Zombies acted confused after being unable to enter, in that critical moment, Cassius, one of the six Super Soldiers, sprang into action.

With a Flamethrower in hand, he unleashed a torrent of fire upon the five Runner Leader Zombies. The inferno enveloped them in a dance of destruction, their forms silhouetted against the flames!

Simultaneously, Mara, Atlas, and Orion—the other Super Soldiers—threw their spears and hitting their targets accurately!

The weapons whistled through the air before tearing through zombie flesh, leaving gaping wounds that extinguished any semblance of life within them.

The combined strength of flame and spear eradicated the five powerful Zombies just like that!

A few of the estate's defenders who had seen what had happened cheered as the five Runner Leader Zombies fell!

In the meantime, on the other side of the estate lay the orchard... At its edge, was now transformed into a strategic battleground where a couple of watchtowers stood behind the palisade.

Indeed, the wooden wall stood tall, while two watchtowers surveyed the terrain... For this, Shane decided to station Layla and Max at each of them.

Atop the rampart, Chaloem, the formidable Monk, stood alongside the members of the Eclipse Revenant.

Raze was there with Roan, her majestic Dragon Companion whose scales shimmered even amidst the chaotic atmosphere.

Lyra, the Sharpshooter, narrowed her eyes in concentration as she looked ahead; Jaxon, whose Foresight Talent granted them an edge, nervously took a deep breath as he saw the endless zombies; Kael, whose Healing Hands were ready to mend, also felt tense as their situation; and Tessa, the Assassin, whose presence was as silent as it was deadly, didn't show any expression at all.

Behind them was the watchtower where Max manned the Machine Gun from his vantage point!

His steady hands and focus allowed him to lay down a relentless barrage of fire upon the encroaching Zombie Wolves.

Shane deliberately allowed the man to use this weapon because it wasn't easy to control the machine gun. However, with Max's physical strength, it was easy for him to control the powerful firearm.

The mechanical thunder of gunfire melded with Roan's fiery breath, creating a formidable wall of death that no undead beast could penetrate!

The Zombie Wolves snarled and snapped at the air as they sought to scale the palisade, but they were met with a hailstorm of bullets and dragon fire. Lyra's sharpshooting skills ensured that any wolf that dared leap towards them was swiftly taken down mid-air.

Jaxon's foresight proved invaluable, calling out potential breaches before they could happen. Kael moved through their ranks, his hands glowing with healing energy, ready to soothe any wound that might befall his allies.

Tessa moved like a shadow among them, her blades flashing in swift arcs as she dispatched any Zombie Wolf that dared come too close to their defenses.

As for Chaloem, he was using his Ki Techniques to shoot an invisible force that could stop any Zombie Wolves from leaping through the walls!

Together, they were an unbreakable force.

The Barrier that was protecting them had even remained untouched—a proof of their incredible cooperation and prowess in battle!

Nonetheless, Shane noticed a problem in their current area. Although there weren't any Zombie Leaders or Tier 2 Zombies in their spots, there were still too many zombies they had to deal with.

Shane could see the toll it was taking on them since even the strongest warriors had their limits.

Determined to prevent their fatigue from turning into vulnerability, Shane made a decisive move. He retrieved the Grenade Launcher.
