Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 200: Zombie Wave ( 1 )

Shane then learned that there were three of these Dragon's Veil Elixirs and 10 Lesser Dragon's Veil Elixirs.

After some thought, he decided to give one to Anna and the other to Shinja. As for the 10 Lesser Elixirs, they were given to Gene, Lucas, Leo, Mr. Wadsworth, and others…

After consuming the potion, Shane then checked his current status.

Survivor Name: Shane Wells

Spirit: 2,000/2,000

Shane smiled after seeing his current status points.

His strength increased this much after consuming 30 Strength Enhancement Bottles. At the same time, his agility increased after consuming 6 Agility Enhancement Bottles. The +34, on the other hand, was the boost he obtained from wearing the Crawler Set.

As for the additional point in the Luck and Perception Stat, it seemed to have appeared after reaching level 21…

Satisfied with his current stats, Shane then went outside with everyone to await the Zombie Wave.

Soon, the commencement notification from the System appeared!

"Wow…" Shane commented after seeing this game-like announcement from the System. It was full of encouragement and it seemed to be trying to make this event thrilling as if this event wouldn't kill anyone at all.

Anyway, Shane immediately consumed the Double Experience Potion he was saving for the moment he heard this. It was the same for Raze, who actually managed to obtain a similar potion!

However, Raze's Double Exp Potion could only last for 9 hours, while Shane's potion could last for the whole duration of the Zombie Wave, 12 hours.

Anyway, the atmosphere in the estate was filled with nervousness with a bit of anticipation as the System's announcement was repeated by Raze to the crowd who didn'tget receive the notification.

In an instant, the once tranquil grounds transformed into a hive of activity, every defender bracing for the onslaught.

Thud… Thud… Thud… Thud…

The first sign of the impending wave was auditory—a sound of shuffling and rushing footsteps that grew louder with each passing second.

The Walker Zombies' relentless march was punctuated by the frenzied sprints of the Runner Zombies, their rapid approach sending a shiver down the spines of all who heard.

Atop the northern watchtower, Lucas peered through his binoculars, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the approaching threat.

"About 1000 Walker Zombies in the north… 500 Runner Zombies in the east!" he called out, his voice carrying over the ramparts. He couldn't help but sucked a deep cold breath after realizing the scale of the first batch of zombies.

However, it didn't end there.

Gene, stationed on the southern tower, made his own grim report. "1,000 Zombie Wolves on the south!" His tone was grave, but there was a spark of determination in his eyes.

The Zombie Wolves seemed menacing, but the fact that they were moving closely together had given him hope!

After all, the Grenade Launcher would be perfect for them!

Raze's eyes narrowed after hearing the reports. It was the same for the other members of the Eclipse Revenant! After all, their first batch of Zombie Wave about a month ago only had 30 to 50 zombies!

However, they were actually facing about 2,500 Zombies right at the start of this second Zombie Wave! The difference was huge! Furthermore, they knew that it would increase each wave and they wouldn't be surprised if the last wave would consist of 10,000 Zombies!

"This is crazy…" Kael muttered as he realized that the start of the Zombie Wave was already so much! At most, he was expecting only 300 to 500!

"We should be fine… As long as we don't panic, we will be fine… However, why are we facing such a massive Zombie Wave at the start of the event? Is it because of his Hero?" Raze muttered.

"Right… An Epic Summon and Heroic Summon are in this estate… The System could tell that this place would be tough to destroy." Tessa wryly smiled as she couldn't help but feel a little nervous.

Anyway, the estate's defenses sprang to life as the first wave of Runner Zombies collided with a field of hidden traps.

The sound of snapping ropes and clanging metal filled the air as hundreds of undead were ensnared, impaled, or decimated by cleverly concealed devices. It was all thanks to the wooden and metal traps that Leo and Harper had prepared…

Those few who managed to navigate the deadly maze found no respite at its end.

A volley of bolts rained down from above as three elven archers and three crossbowmen, led by Seraph's command, unleashed a storm of death upon them.

Each shot was precise, and each arrow and bolt found its mark with lethal efficiency because the zombies were also clustered!
