Chapter 53: Morning
Aether blinked, as the Memorys of last night flooded back in, as he gut up from the bed and so did Eula as they both looked at eachother they both them went Nuckler red as they looked at eachother, Aether looked at his hicky given to him by Eula ana he looked at the hicky given to her.
Eule then spoke. "What was in the Alcohol, we are not so bold at all".
Aether looked at her. "I don't care about the wine, I worried about Sairaorg"
Eula just looked at him a bit confused the blush was still on her face. "What does my brother have to do with this".
Aether looked at her as he spoke. "He maybe ok with us being married, but you know... He doesn't like that much".
Aether and Eula sat there in the soft morning light, the air around them still filled with the remnants of their previous conversation. Eula blushed, adjusting herself slightly on the bed as she looked at Aether.
Eula broke the silence with a soft chuckle, trying to ease the tension. "So, about last night…"
Aether ran a hand through his hair, his face still tinged with red. "Yeah... about that... I wasn't expecting things to go in that direction."
Eula smiled at him, her usual confident demeanor returning. "Neither was I, but sometimes, it's just... spontaneous. It doesn't hurt to be a little bold, right?"
Aether nodded, still processing everything. "I just... I hope Sairaorg isn't too upset when he finds out. I know he's protective of you."
Eula's expression softened as she looked at Aether. "You're right. He's always been that way, but I think he'll understand. We're both adults, and I trust that he'll respect our decisions. Besides, it's not like we were trying to hide anything."
Aether smiled slightly, feeling a bit more at ease. "Yeah, you're probably right. I guess I just overthink things sometimes."
Eula reached out, gently resting her hand on his. "You don't need to overthink this. We're in this together. If he has an issue, we'll deal with it when the time comes."
Aether sighed in relief, grateful for her calm perspective. "Thanks, Eula. I really appreciate you being so understanding about everything."
Eula winked playfully. "Well, what can I say? I've got a soft spot for you, Aether."
They both laughed, the tension between them easing as the day began to unfold.
Aether then looked at the near empty wine bottle. "But really, as aren't this bold what was in this".
Eula glanced over at the nearly empty wine bottle and let out a soft laugh, still feeling the faint warmth of alcohol in her system. She tilted her head thoughtfully. "I don't know... I suppose it was just a bit stronger than usual. But honestly, I think we were both just a little... more relaxed than usual."
Aether raised an eyebrow, still eyeing the bottle. "Relaxed is one way to put it. But I don't think we've ever been that relaxed before."
Eula smirked, clearly amused by the situation. "True, but it wasn't just the wine, Aether. I think we both needed a little bit of... spontaneity. Sometimes things just happen, and that's okay."
Aether chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "I guess I should've paid more attention before. Maybe next time, we should stick to water... or something."
Eula smiled, leaning back into the bed, her arms crossed behind her head. "Oh, come on. We're both adults. It's not like we're going to repeat this every night. Sometimes, a little boldness is good for the soul."
Aether nodded, his expression softening as he relaxed beside her. "You're right. I just... wasn't expecting the night to go like that. But I guess that's what happens when you mix wine, honesty, and a little bit of nerve."
Eula turned to him with a playful grin. "And a lot of trust, Aether. Don't forget that."
He smiled, reaching over to gently brush a strand of hair from her face. "I won't forget that, Eula. You're right—this wouldn't have happened without trust. I'm glad we took that step."
Eula reached for his hand, holding it gently. "Me too. So... about Sairaorg," she began, her tone shifting slightly, "we'll talk to him when we need to, but don't worry too much. He'll come around."
Aether exhaled deeply, feeling more at ease. "I hope you're right. I just don't want to make things awkward with him. I respect him too much."
"I know," Eula replied softly. "And he respects you. He'll see it too."
They both leaned back, enjoying the quiet moment together, the uncertainty of the morning fading as they shared a comfortable silence.
Paimon then came out of her pocket dimension, as she was stretching. "Good morning Aether, Good morning Eu-".
She cut her self of, as she saw Aether and Eula on the bed, naked with hicky as she looked at them. "Paimon regrets getting up early today".
Aether and Eula both turned their heads quickly at the sudden interruption, immediately feeling a flush rise on their faces. They scrambled to cover themselves with the nearby blanket, while Paimon's eyes widened in shock.
"Paimon!" Aether exclaimed, his voice a mixture of embarrassment and surprise. "I didn't expect you to be up this early!"
Eula, equally flustered, quickly adjusted herself, throwing an awkward glance at Paimon. "You could've knocked..."
Paimon, still frozen with her hand on her forehead, muttered under her breath, "Paimon regrets getting up early today... Maybe if I went back to sleep, I could pretend I never saw this."
Aether sighed deeply, trying to calm the situation. "Paimon, it's... uh, it's not what it looks like. We—"
"Nope, Paimon's fine," Paimon interrupted, shaking her head rapidly. "You two can keep your private... stuff... to yourselves next time! I'm going back to my pocket dimension!"
She turned and zipped back into her pocket dimension with impressive speed, muttering to herself all the way.
Aether and Eula sat there for a moment, still feeling the awkwardness lingering in the air. Eula let out a chuckle, breaking the silence. "Well, that was... something."
Aether groaned, burying his face in his hands. "I don't think Paimon's ever going to let us live this down."
Eula leaned back, grinning mischievously. "At least we know she won't be bothering us for a while."
"Yeah, probably," Aether agreed, finally relaxing. "I just hope she doesn't tell Luminis."
Eula gave him a teasing look. "Oh, I'm sure Luminis will find out one way or another."
Aether sighed. "Great... Well, looks like we'll be the talk of the day."
They both shared a laugh, and for a moment, the awkwardness of the situation faded into the background. Life would go on, even with Paimon's early wake-up call.
After a while in dawn winery, Aether is shown looking at Diluc
Diluc was ready to talk in the secret coded again. "Aether what brings your here (is there something that Knight are doing that I need to know".
Aether looked at Diluc. "Hey Dilcu, I need you to now allows Eula to buy Alcohol from you again, unsupervised"
Dilcu took a few seconds to process that, it was no coded they had planned it was just talk. "Ok?".
Aether could see the confusion in Diluc's eyes, but he pressed on, his expression serious. "It's important. Eula... she might've had a little too much last night."
Diluc raised an eyebrow, his lips thinning into a knowing but cautious expression. "Too much? Aether, you do realize what you're asking, don't you?" He crossed his arms, leaning slightly forward as he studied Aether. "If you're asking me to trust her with alcohol again, especially unsupervised, that's... quite a request."
Aether sighed, feeling the weight of his words. "I know it's a bit... risky, but Eula's been fine with everything. Last night... things just kind of... happened. She's not a child, Diluc, and I trust her. I just want to make sure she's not stuck worrying about being watched all the time."
Diluc took a long pause, his sharp gaze softening slightly. He exhaled and gave Aether a knowing glance, before finally responding. "I know Eula well enough. She's not the type to go overboard. But... you know how she is with alcohol. One too many glasses and she can get... unpredictable." Diluc rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I'll allow it, but only on one condition."
Aether frowned. "What's that?"
Diluc's lips curled into a slight smirk. "If she gets out of line again, I'm holding you responsible." His eyes narrowed slightly. "And I'll be keeping an eye on both of you. I don't care about the alcohol, but I do care about my business—and I'd prefer not to have any more... accidents."
Aether let out a breath of relief, nodding. "Fair enough. I'll make sure to keep an eye on things as well. I just don't want her feeling restricted."
Diluc's gaze softened for a moment, as if understanding the sentiment behind Aether's request. "Alright, Aether. I'll let her buy from me again. But remember, if anything goes wrong, it's on you."
"I got it," Aether said with a nod, grateful for Diluc's understanding. "Thanks, Diluc. I appreciate it."
Diluc simply gave a small nod of acknowledgment. "Just don't cause any trouble, Aether. And make sure she knows her limits."
With that, Aether gave a small smile and turned to leave the winery, relieved that Diluc had agreed. He knew that Eula would appreciate the gesture, and maybe, just maybe, they could both enjoy a little more freedom—without the constant watchful eyes.
Aether then stopped. "Also, I don't think dandelion wine is popular this season (The east side of the city is not so well guarded today, we got some reports id criminal, good luck Dark knight hero)".
Diluc looked at as he read between the words. "Very well them, have a nice then".
As Aether left the strone, as he sighed as then he saw Paimon as he looked at Paimon.
Paimon looked at Aether. "You other girlfriend will want you to take the V card when they find out".
Aether then remembers, Amber, Lisa and Noelle. "Why did this quest of finding my sister turn into this, oh wait I wanted a Harem".
Aether shook his head, rubbing his temples as the weight of his situation settled in. He had come to Mondstadt to find his sister, but now, it seemed like he had inadvertently gotten himself caught up in a mess of relationships and... complications.
Paimon, ever the cheerful and slightly mischievous companion, floated beside him, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "What's wrong, Aether? You seem a little... flustered."
He shot her a look, a mixture of frustration and resignation. "Paimon... you have no idea what you've gotten me into."
Paimon giggled. "Hey, you did this to yourself! You're the one who decided to charm every girl you meet! Now you've got a harem in the making!"
Aether sighed again, gazing out towards the city as the sun began to rise. He had never imagined things would get so... complicated. Amber, Lisa, Noelle, and now Eula? And, judging by the way things were going, it wouldn't stop there.
"I didn't plan for this," Aether muttered under his breath, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "All I wanted was to find Lumine, but instead, I ended up... well, here."
Paimon hovered closer, her expression softening. "Aether, you're a nice guy. It's not your fault they all like you. You just... attract attention."
"Great, now I'm the center of a whole bunch of drama," Aether grumbled, though there was a small, amused smile on his face.
"Well, it could be worse," Paimon chirped. "You could be running away from the law, or worse—having to explain yourself to every single one of them. At least you're on good terms with them... mostly."
Aether glanced over at her, a little smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah, I guess that's something."
The two continued walking through Mondstadt, Aether's thoughts still clouded with the complexities of his situation. The Dandelion Wine comment from Diluc had only added to the confusion, but he couldn't deny the underlying tension that had built up between him and some of the people he had grown close to. He had never intended for any of this to spiral out of control, but here he was, caught in the middle of a situation that seemed to be shifting more with each passing day.
And yet, in some way, he couldn't help but think... maybe this wasn't all that bad. There were worse problems to have. But for now, all he could do was focus on his mission to find Lumine—while trying to keep his personal life from becoming an even bigger mess.
"I guess I'll have to take it one step at a time," Aether muttered, feeling a sense of determination settling in despite the chaos around him.
Paimon gave him a thumbs-up. "That's the spirit! Now, let's go get some breakfast before your other girlfriends start looking for you!"
Aether chuckled. "Yeah... we'll see how that goes."
Aether then saw Eula and Luminis, as Luminis was now playing as he went I them as he then gave Eula kiss on the cheeks.
Eula was ready to flip who ever dared to do that, before she noticed it was Aether as she smiled. "That was a cheep trick darling".
Aether chuckled as he saw Luminis, the dragon boy was playing. "It was literally yesterday he was 5 yearold and now he is 10 year-old".
Eula looked at him. "He maybe look like our kid, but he is fully dragon, and we don't have to worry about anyone serten growth for our son, as Lisa said he will from now on started to grow like a Normal child".
Aether just side. "Yes, but my little boy is growing up to fast".
Eula looked at and smiled. "You really are a good father".
Aether smiled softly, feeling a warm pride in his chest as he watched Luminis, the young dragon boy, playing nearby. His heart swelled with both joy and a twinge of bittersweetness. It was hard to believe how much had changed in such a short time. One moment, Luminis was a five-year-old child, and now, here he was, a ten-year-old growing dragon, becoming more independent with each passing day.
Eula, noticing the fond expression on Aether's face, softened her own gaze. "You really do care for him," she said, her voice gentle, almost teasing. "I see how much you've changed since we first met. I'm glad to see it. He's lucky to have you."
Aether sighed but his smile lingered. "I never thought I'd end up a father like this, but... I wouldn't trade it for anything. He's a reminder of something precious, something I want to protect."
Eula's eyes twinkled as she watched her son running around, her smile widening. "He's growing up quickly. It's hard to believe how fast time flies. I never thought I'd be a mother either, but... I'm glad I'm doing it with you."
The two exchanged a quiet moment of understanding, their bond growing stronger as they shared their worries and joys. Eula's expression softened even further, her voice lowering. "You know, Aether, no matter what happens, you've already been an amazing father. Our son is lucky to have you."
Aether looked at her, his heart touched by her words. "I don't know about being amazing... but I'll do everything I can for him. For you."
Eula leaned in, giving Aether a quick kiss on the cheek. "You already do."
Luminis looked up from his play and ran over, his excited little dragon wings fluttering behind him. "Papa! Mama! Watch this!" he shouted, showing off a playful trick he had just learned.
Aether crouched down to meet him at eye level, smiling. "What have you got for us today, Luminis?"
The young dragon boy beamed. "Look! I can do this now!" He swirled around and launched himself into a small, graceful flight, his tiny wings flapping as he soared for a few moments before gently landing back on the ground.
Eula laughed softly, a sense of pride in her voice. "He's growing up so fast. One day, he'll be stronger than both of us."
Aether chuckled, ruffling Luminis's hair. "I just hope he doesn't get too strong too fast... he'll be flying circles around me before I know it."
Eula raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling at the edge of her lips. "At least he'll know what's important—like protecting those he loves. You've already taught him that."
Aether nodded, his expression serious now, yet soft. "I just hope we're both doing enough. I don't want him to grow up too quickly, but I also don't want him to ever doubt that we'll be here for him."
Eula walked up beside him, resting a hand on his shoulder. "We're doing everything we can. And we're doing it together."
Aether looked at her, his heart full. For all the challenges ahead, for all the uncertainty in their future, this moment—this family—was something he would cherish forever.
