Genshin Impact: The Crit Archon

Chapter 34: Abyss

In a different places a place that looked like rune kingdom, a portal opens as the abyss order or what was left from the Mondstandt attack squad came out, as leading them was the woman in the hood and mask, she took those of, she had Yellow hair and yellow eyes, weairng a black/Red dress, red nail polish, a black crown and a Black flowers, the girl went and seat on a throne, This Girl who attacked Aether was non other then the princes of the abyss, there leader her name Lumin aka Aether sister

Lumin seat on the throne thinking. "I didn't expect our attack on Mondstandt to end will but.."

One of they abyss mages order. "Are you thinking of your brother and how you sent him flying".

Lumin's eyes narrowed at the mage's words, her yellow eyes glowing with an ominous intensity. She let out a small sigh and leaned back on her throne, resting her chin on her hand.

Lumin spoke coldly. "He is still weak, but he's improving. I underestimated how much he's grown. However, I didn't come to Mondstadt to reminisce about family. Our mission remains unchanged."

The Abyss mage bowed. "Of course, Your Highness. But should we anticipate further interference from him in the future?"

Lumin stood up from her throne, her aura darkening as shadows seemed to twist around her. "I expect nothing less. Aether will come for me. He's determined, just like always. But that is exactly what I want."

She walked toward a large map of Teyvat, her hand hovering over different regions. "Mondstadt was a test, nothing more. But soon, our true campaign will begin. The other nations will fall, and the Abyss will rise. Aether will find himself trapped in a war far larger than he can imagine."

As she spoke, dark energy pulsated from her, filling the room. The other Abyss mages felt the power surge, a reminder of why she was their leader.

One of the Abyss Heralds approached. "Your Highness, what are your orders?"

Lumin smiled slightly, her eyes glinting with a hidden emotion. "Prepare the forces. Our next target lies beyond Mondstadt. I want to test his resolve and see how far he's willing to go for this world... and for me."

The Abyss Herald bowed. "It will be done."

As the mage and herald left, Lumin sat back on her throne, her mind drifting to thoughts of her brother. She spoke softly, almost to herself. "Aether… how long will you chase me? How long until you realise that our fates are tied together by the Abyss?"

She looked down at the black flower she held in her hand, crushing its petals slowly. "This world is not what you think it is. You'll see that soon enough."

Lumin's gaze turned towards the distant horizon beyond the Abyssal kingdom, a shadow of both ambition and sorrow lingering in her eyes.

Lumin saw everyone left before she activated something. "Does he also have it"

As then she saw something, a red video came like screen, as the words where there

[ Villain System ]

Lumine looked at ehe system. "Does he have one... You system were onces calm the hero system"

Lumin stared at the red screen with a mix of curiosity and bitterness. The words [Villain System] floated ominously before her, the crimson glow casting shadows across the room. She clenched her fist as she spoke.

"Hero System... how ironic that you've become this twisted version of yourself. A system designed to aid those who wished to save, now one that pushes them to destroy. But the real question remains... does Aether have one too?"

The system responded with a cold, monotone voice. [Inquiry: Subject Aether does not possess the Villain System. However, potential for other systems exists.]

Lumin's eyes sharpened at this revelation. "So, he doesn't have the same system as me. But if he's connected to something similar…"

She paced back and forth, deep in thought. "Aether always had that ridiculous sense of justice. If he had the Hero System, it would explain why he's grown so strong. But still... he hasn't reached his full potential."

The system's voice echoed again. [Host is advised to proceed with caution. Aether's strength is increasing exponentially. His connection to the Teyvat systems could lead to unpredictable outcomes.]

Lumin chuckled darkly, the sound almost hollow in the large, empty chamber. "Unpredictable outcomes? That's what makes this interesting. Let him grow stronger. Let him chase after me, thinking he can change things. But in the end, it will all come crashing down."

She turned back to the red screen, her expression colder than before. "I'll play along with your twisted game, System. But remember, I'm not the same person who accepted you out of desperation. I control my own destiny now."

The system's text flickered for a moment, almost as if it hesitated, before displaying its final message. [Understood, Host. The game continues.]

Lumin dismissed the screen with a wave of her hand, her thoughts now drifting back to Aether. "If he doesn't have the Villain System, then what kind of system does he possess? I need to find out... before it's too late."

She gazed out of the window at the distant sky, knowing that somewhere out there, Aether was also seeking answers—just like her. Their paths were destined to collide again, but this time, she would be ready.

"Let's see how far you'll go, Aether."

Aether stood in the middle of Mondstadt, his hands glowing with a soft blue light as he channeled the 5th Trut Magic of Blue. The broken houses and damaged structures slowly restored themselves, as if time itself was rewinding.

Amber watched in awe, leaning against a nearby wall. "It's like you just pressed a reset button. You can fix an entire city, but still can't figure out teleportation?"

Aether chuckled softly, his focus on the magic in front of him. "Teleportation requires a different kind of magic entirely. The 5th Trut are powerful, but each has its own limitations."

Luminis, the cheerful dragon boy, bounced up and down nearby, his eyes shining with admiration as he watched his father work. "Papa is always so amazing! You fix everything like it's nothing!"

Aether smiled at his son, feeling a warmth in his chest. Despite everything—the chaos, the battles, and the constant uncertainty—moments like this reminded him of why he kept going. For Luminis, for Mondstadt, for the people he cared about.

Amber walked over and patted Aether on the shoulder. "Still, it's impressive. I don't know many people who could handle all that happened with the Abyss Order and then just... rebuild like nothing."

Aether's face grew a little more serious. "It's not 'like nothing', Amber. Every time I use this magic, I'm reminded of what could be lost if we don't keep fighting. I'm just trying to put things back to how they were, at least on the surface."

Luminis looked up at him, his eyes wide and curious. "Papa, will the bad people come back? Will you have to fight again?"

Aether's heart sank a little at his son's innocent question, but he smiled softly. "Maybe, but I'll always be here to protect you and everyone else. No matter what happens."

Luminis grinned and ran to hug Aether's leg. "You're the best papa ever!"

Amber chuckled at the sight, her usual carefree attitude returning. "With you around, I'm sure Mondstadt is in good hands. But let's hope we don't need more of that magic any time soon."

Aether nodded in agreement, continuing to channel his magic to restore the last bit of damage to the city, knowing deep down that the peace was always temporary. But for now, they had a moment of calm—a brief respite before whatever was to come next.

Amber looked at Aether. "So is your mind still occupied".

Aether paused in his magic, looking at Amber as she asked her question. The weight of recent events still lingered in his eyes, and he sighed softly. "Yeah, my mind is still pretty occupied. There's a lot to think about."

Amber, noticing the heaviness in his tone, smiled warmly. She knew that this was a good time to lift his spirits. "Then how about I help you take your mind off things... with a date?" Her voice was light, playful, but there was a sincerity in her eyes.

Before Aether could respond, Luminis, always quick to jump in with his bubbly personality, looked up at Amber with wide, curious eyes. "Am I getting another mother?" he asked with a huge grin on his face.

Aether blinked in surprise, while Amber blushed slightly, trying to hold back her laughter. "Well, that's... one way to look at it, Luminis," she said, ruffling his hair. "But let's just start with a date, okay?"

Aether chuckled, his shoulders relaxing slightly for the first time in days. "A date, huh? I suppose it wouldn't hurt to take a break."

Amber nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! We've been through a lot, and you deserve some time to just... breathe."

Luminis looked between the two, clearly excited. "I knew it! Papa and Amber are going on a date! Can I come?"

Amber and Aether both laughed at Luminis' excitement. Aether bent down, gently ruffling his son's hair. "Maybe next time, champ. This time it's just for Amber and me."

Luminis pouted for a moment but then smiled again. "Okay! But you two better have fun!"

Amber grinned at Aether, a playful twinkle in her eye. "I'll make sure of it."

Aether couldn't help but smile back. Maybe, just maybe, this was exactly what he needed.

Luminis then looked at Aether. "So let's go"

Aether ruffled Luminis hair. "Hey Luminis what don't you go to Eula"

Luminis smiles and started to fly using his wing. "Ok I am going to mama"

As he flyer away as Aether looked at Amber

Amber looked at him. "Before you say anything, Eula is the one who told you are going to make a harem... She said it is normal in your kingdom, so blame your wife".

Aether sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he watched Luminis fly off toward Eula. Turning to Amber, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her comment.

"So, Eula said that, huh?" Aether replied with a mix of amusement and mild exasperation.

Amber nodded with a teasing grin. "Yep! She told me it's pretty normal in your kingdom to have more than one wife. So, if you're feeling overwhelmed by the attention, blame your dear wife, not me."

Aether chuckled softly, shaking his head. "I swear, Eula has a way of turning everything around. But..." He glanced at Amber, his tone softening. "I can't deny that spending time with you sounds nice."

Amber's grin softened into a genuine smile, her cheeks slightly flushed. "Well, I'm not asking you to start a harem right now or anything. Let's just enjoy a day together, okay?"

Aether nodded, the tension easing from his shoulders. "Yeah, I'd like that."

Aether and Amber set off from the repaired houses of Mondstadt, the sun shining brightly above them. The air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers and the sound of cheerful birds singing, creating a perfect backdrop for their day together.

"Where do you want to go first?" Aether asked, looking over at Amber with a smile. "The city has plenty of places to explore."

Amber thought for a moment, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "How about we visit the Starsnatch Cliff? The view from up there is breathtaking, and I always feel inspired when I'm up high. Plus, I can show you my favorite spot!"

"Sounds like a plan," Aether replied, his spirits lifting. He appreciated Amber's enthusiasm and could feel the weight of the past few days slowly fading.

As they walked through the bustling streets, Aether couldn't help but notice the way people greeted Amber with warm smiles. She was well-loved in Mondstadt, a fact that filled him with admiration.

"Everyone seems to really care about you," he commented as they passed a stall selling sweet madame pastries.

Amber beamed at him. "It's because I care about them too! I've spent a lot of time helping the people here. It feels good to know I make a difference."

Aether felt a warmth in his chest at her words. "You really do, Amber. You're a hero to many."

After a short walk, they reached Starsnatch Cliff. The climb was steep, but Amber's excitement kept Aether motivated. When they finally reached the top, the view was nothing short of spectacular. The entire city of Mondstadt spread out beneath them, bathed in golden sunlight.

"Wow," Aether breathed, taking in the scene. "This is incredible."

Amber walked over to the edge, her hair dancing in the wind. "Isn't it? It's my favorite place to think and just enjoy the moment."

As Aether joined her, he felt a sense of peace wash over him. The troubles of the past few days seemed distant, and in that moment, all that mattered was the view and the girl beside him.

Amber turned to Aether, a playful smile on her face. "So, what do you think of my kingdom? Beautiful, right?"

"Definitely beautiful," Aether agreed, his gaze drifting to her radiant smile. "But it wouldn't be the same without you in it."

Amber's cheeks flushed at his compliment. "Aether..."

He quickly changed the subject, feeling a bit bashful. "What do you usually do up here when you're alone?"

"I write," she replied, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "I've started drafting stories about our adventures. Some are based on real events, while others are pure fiction. I want to inspire others with my tales!"

"That sounds amazing! I'd love to read them someday," Aether said, genuinely intrigued.

As they sat down on the grass, Amber pulled out a notebook from her bag, flipping through the pages filled with her neat handwriting and doodles. "Here, let me show you a few!"

They spent the next hour sharing ideas and laughing over Amber's creative plots. Aether couldn't help but admire her passion, which reminded him of his own adventures.

After a while, Amber closed the notebook and looked at Aether with a thoughtful expression. "You know, we should create our own story together. Something about heroes, adventure, and maybe even... love?" She glanced at him playfully.

Aether felt a flutter in his chest at her suggestion. "You really want to do that? It could be fun!"

"Absolutely!" Amber exclaimed, her enthusiasm infectious. "But we need a setting first. How about we get some food and come up with a storyline over lunch?"

"Sounds like a plan. I know a great place that sells delicious sticky honey roast!" Aether suggested, remembering his favorite dish.

Amber's eyes lit up. "I'm in! Let's go!"

They made their way back down the cliff, the air filled with laughter and shared ideas. As they reached the food stall, Aether ordered their meals, and they found a cozy spot at a nearby table.

While they enjoyed their food, Aether couldn't help but notice how effortlessly they connected. Amber had a knack for making even the simplest moments feel special.

"Okay, so let's brainstorm our story!" Amber said, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "What should our heroes be like?"

Aether thought for a moment. "I think they should be brave but also have their own insecurities. They need to face challenges together."

"Great idea! Maybe one of them is a knight with a mysterious past?" Amber suggested.

"And the other could be someone with a deep connection to nature, like an archer," Aether added, growing excited about their creative venture.

As they continued to share their ideas, Aether felt a bond growing between them, one that was different from what he had experienced before. It was lighthearted yet meaningful, filled with laughter and shared dreams.

After finishing their meal, Aether looked at Amber, feeling a sense of gratitude for the day. "Thank you for this, Amber. I needed a break from everything, and you made it so enjoyable."

Amber smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling with sincerity. "I'm glad, Aether. It's nice to spend time together without the weight of the world on our shoulders."

As they prepared to head back to Mondstadt, Aether felt a sense of hope blooming within him. Perhaps, despite the challenges ahead, there was still room for happiness and connection.

As they walked side by side, Aether knew this was just the beginning of a new chapter for both of them—one filled with adventure, friendship, and perhaps even something deeper.
