Chapter 30: A meeting
Aether then punched the mage as the mage just feels, as he checked her and found noting, as he relsied something will happen
In Diluc Bar, Aether gather his allies, There was Diluc, Kaeya, Lisa, Jeane, Amber, Eula, Noelle, Bennett, Razor, and Venti.
Aether looked at everyone. "Everyone got that"
Amber just blinked and looked at Venti. "Venti is a... God, and you tryed to steal the lyre but a Fauti stole it"
Luminis who was seating on Eula lap spoke. "Is Papa in trouble Mama"
Eula chuckled softly, brushing a hand through Luminis's hair. "Just a little, sweetheart. But that's why we're all here, to help your Papa."
Diluc leaned against the bar, arms crossed, his expression serious. "Aether, if we're going to deal with the Fatui, we need a solid plan. They won't back down easily, especially if they have the lyre."
"Right," Aether replied, straightening up. "Venti, what do you know about the Fatui's involvement with the lyre? Why would they want it?"
Venti scratched his chin, looking contemplative. "The lyre is not just a musical instrument; it holds a significant amount of elemental power. In the wrong hands, it could be used to disrupt the balance in Mondstadt. The Fatui likely want to harness that power for their own gain."
"Then we need to get it back before they can use it," Lisa chimed in, her eyes glinting with determination. "We can't allow them to exploit such a potent artifact."
Kaeya smirked, glancing at Aether. "You'll have to show us how to retrieve it. Your charm and martial prowess won't be enough alone; we need strategy."
Aether nodded, feeling the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. "I can lead the charge, but we'll need everyone's strengths to pull this off. Amber, you and Bennett can scout ahead to see if you can gather any intel on their movements. Eula, you and Noelle can provide support if we encounter any Fatui scouts. Diluc, Kaeya, and Lisa can back me up if things go south."
Everyone nodded in agreement, the air filled with a sense of unity and purpose.
Amber's eyes lit up with excitement. "Let's do this! We'll show the Fatui they picked the wrong fight!"
Paimon floated beside Aether, her tiny fists raised. "Yeah! Let's make sure they regret stealing from us!"
"Exactly," Aether said, feeling a surge of adrenaline. "Let's move out!"
The group quickly gathered their supplies, checking their weapons and gear before heading out of the bar. As they stepped into the moonlit streets of Mondstadt, Aether couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation.
Luminis, still perched on Eula's lap, looked up at her, his little eyes wide with wonder. "Mama, can I come too?"
Eula smiled softly at her son. "Not this time, my little dragon. It's too dangerous. You need to stay safe here."
Luminis pouted but nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Okay, but you'll come back, right?"
"Of course, sweetheart. We'll be back before you know it," Eula assured him, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead before setting him down.
As they approached the south gate, Aether could see the distant flickering of torches. The Fatui were making their presence known. He turned to his friends, steeling himself for the confrontation ahead. "Remember, we stick together and watch each other's backs."
The group moved forward stealthily, using the cover of night to their advantage. As they neared the outskirts of Mondstadt, they spotted a group of Fatui agents gathered around a makeshift campfire, their silhouettes outlined by the flames.
"Looks like we found them," Kaeya whispered, his eyes narrowing. "What's the plan?"
Aether glanced at his friends, formulating a strategy. "We can't just charge in. We need to draw them away from the lyre and the portal. If we can create a distraction…"
"Leave that to me," Amber said with a confident grin. "I'll set up a few fireworks. They'll never see it coming!"
"Good idea," Aether replied. "Just be sure to aim away from us."
With a nod, Amber moved back a short distance to prepare her fireworks. Aether watched her, impressed by her determination. Once she was ready, he motioned for everyone to take cover.
As the first firework launched into the sky, exploding in a brilliant display of colors, the Fatui agents were immediately distracted. They stood up, eyes wide with surprise and confusion.
"Now!" Aether shouted, sprinting forward alongside his allies.
The group rushed into the fray, weapons drawn. Aether found himself facing a Fatui Pyro agent, who swung a flaming sword at him. He quickly dodged to the side, countering with a blast of wind that sent the agent stumbling backward.
Kaeya was engaged in a duel with another agent, his rapier flashing as he expertly parried strikes. "Is this the best you can do?" he taunted, landing a swift blow to the agent's shoulder.
Meanwhile, Amber's fireworks continued to dazzle, causing more chaos among the Fatui ranks. "Keep them busy! We need to find the lyre!" she shouted.
Paimon zipped around, shouting encouragement. "You got this, Aether! Just remember what I taught you!"
As Aether fought, he couldn't help but feel invigorated by the support of his friends. Each strike and dodge felt like a dance, a blend of instinct and training. He could sense the energy building within him, the determination to protect his home and his allies driving him forward.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, Aether spotted the glint of the lyre on the ground near the portal, guarded by another Fatui mage. "There!" he shouted, pointing it out to his friends. "We need to get to it!"
Without hesitation, Aether charged toward the mage, dodging incoming attacks as he closed the distance. The mage smirked, raising her hand to conjure an elemental barrier.
But Aether was faster. With a quick motion, he summoned a gust of wind that shattered the barrier, catching the mage off guard. "You're not getting away this time!" he declared, lunging forward.
The mage stumbled back, unprepared for Aether's ferocity. With a swift strike, Aether knocked her aside and grabbed the lyre, cradling it protectively in his arms.
"Got it!" he shouted, relief flooding through him.
"Now, let's get out of here!" Kaeya called, fending off another Fatui agent.
As the battle raged on, Aether's group worked in harmony, covering each other's backs and pushing forward. The sounds of clashing metal and elemental blasts echoed around them, creating a chaotic symphony of battle.
"Retreat!" one of the Fatui leaders shouted, realizing they were outmatched. The remaining agents began to fall back, fleeing into the night.
Aether glanced back at his friends, his heart racing with adrenaline. "We did it! We got the lyre back!"
Venti appeared beside him, a wide grin on his face. "You've done well, Aether! The winds of fate are truly on your side."
As they regrouped, Aether felt a sense of pride wash over him. He had faced the Fatui head-on and emerged victorious, all with the support of his friends. It was a moment he would cherish forever.
But the battle may have been over, the war was far from finished. They still had to deal with the fallout from this encounter and what it meant for Mondstadt.
"Let's head back to the tavern," Aether suggested, looking at his friends. "We need to discuss what comes next."
As they made their way back, Aether felt a renewed sense of determination. Whatever challenges lay ahead, he knew he wouldn't face them alone. Together, they would protect Mondstadt and each other, no matter the cost.
After that was done everyone arrived backt rh tavern, as everyone just looked at the lyre.
Aether looked at Venti. "So what do we do next"
Venti looked at him. "We will have to purifying it"
Aether thought. "How do we do that... Wait"
Aether then pulled out a blue tear drop gem, he looked at them at Venti.
Venti looked at him. "These are dragon tear, one from Dvalin yeah that can work, but is is only one"
Bennet then looked at Luminis. "Alright how to make the child cry"
As then Eula punch Bennet as he was slammed to the ground to the floor, he learned that day to not piss of mother like Eula.
Razer looked at Bennett. "Razer says you deserve that Bennett"
Aether just sigehd and then mentally spoke. 'system, active heaven's defing Luck skill, I better crit at This"
[ Ok host ]
Aether then took to trh tear crystal to the lyre. "This better work, and I hope I crit".
As Aether held the tear crystal close to the lyre, he felt a surge of energy from the Heaven's Defying Luck skill flowing through him. His heart raced as he mentally prepared himself for the purification process. The room was silent, all eyes fixed on the lyre in his hands.
Venti observed closely, his usual playful demeanour replaced by a more serious expression. "This has to work. The lyre's power is crucial to calming Dvalin."
Aether pressed the tear crystal against the lyre, focusing all of his energy into it. The gem began to glow, resonating with the lyre's ancient magic. He felt the tear's purifying energy spreading through the instrument.
Suddenly, a brilliant flash of light enveloped the room. The lyre hummed with power, and Aether could feel the tension in the air lifting. He held his breath, waiting for the outcome.
When the light faded, the lyre looked different. It shimmered with a soft, blue glow, free of the corruption that had tainted it before.
Venti grinned widely, letting out a sigh of relief. "You did it, Aether! The lyre is purified."
Paimon flew around excitedly. "Paimon knew you could do it! That Heaven's Defying Luck really came through, huh?"
Aether chuckled softly. "I guess I got lucky this time. But we still need to use it to help Dvalin."
Lisa, who had been watching silently, nodded in approval. "The hard part is over. Now, we just have to get Dvalin to listen."
As they all gathered around the lyre, Bennett slowly got up from the floor, still nursing the spot where Eula had punched him. He shot a sheepish look at Luminis, who was still sitting innocently on Eula's lap.
"Uh... maybe I deserved that," Bennett muttered, rubbing his sore arm.
Razor patted him on the back. "Razor says, you did deserve it. But you are still friend."
Everyone let out a small laugh, easing the tension in the room.
Aether stood up, holding the lyre with a newfound determination. "Alright, we have the purified lyre. Now, it's time to calm Dvalin and put an end to this madness."
Venti nodded. "We'll need to head to the highest point in Mondstadt to call him. Once we play the lyre, Dvalin will come."
Jean stepped forward, her voice calm but firm. "We'll be ready to assist you, Aether. Mondstadt owes you for everything you've done. Let's save Dvalin and protect our home."
With their plan in place, the group prepared for the next stage of their mission. Aether couldn't shake the feeling that they were getting closer to something much bigger, but for now, their focus was on Dvalin and bringing peace back to Mondstadt.
As they left the tavern, Aether glanced at Luminis, who waved at him from Eula's arms. "Good luck, Papa!" the small dragon boy cheered.
Aether smiled, feeling a surge of warmth in his heart. He would protect Mondstadt not just for his friends, but for his family. With that thought in mind, he gripped the lyre tightly, ready for whatever lay ahead.
Luminis then looked at Aether. "Now papa usena teleportation mage craft and take us all there"
Aether went silent as he looked at everyone. "... Um yeah I can't do that"
Everyone blinked.
The room fell silent as everyone exchanged incredulous glances.
Kaeya chuckled, breaking the tension. "Of all the impressive things you can do, you can't manage teleportation? Now that's something I didn't expect."
Amber pouted a bit. "But teleporting would make this so much easier! I was kind of hoping you'd just magic us there, Aether."
Bennett scratched his head, clearly confused. "You can make swords out of thin air and go invisible, but no teleporting? That's kinda weird."
Noelle, always the supportive one, tried to soften the blow. "Well, I guess we'll just have to rely on more traditional methods, like walking or gliding."
Diluc raised an eyebrow, half-amused. "Or maybe we could just take the long route. We've survived without teleportation so far."
Jean tried to remain diplomatic. "It's fine, Aether. We'll get there another way. No need to worry."
But Lisa, with her teasing tone, leaned in. "Ara, ara, isn't that adorable. The great hero can do so many things, but teleportation is beyond him. How cute."
Aether sighed deeply, rubbing his forehead. "Look, I have a lot of spells and abilities, okay? But teleportation just isn't one of them."
Luminis, sitting on Eula's lap, giggled at the entire exchange. "Papa's funny! No teleportation for us!"
Eula placed a comforting hand on Aether's shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll make do. You've done more than enough already."
Aether gave a small smile, grateful for the support. "Alright, let's get moving. We'll just have to make the trip the old-fashioned way."
With that, the group began to gather their things, preparing to head towards the highest point in Mondstadt. As they moved out of the tavern, Aether couldn't help but shake his head at the ridiculousness of the situation. He might be capable of extraordinary feats, but there were still limits—teleportation, for now, was one of them.
Paimon, floating by his side, gave him a sympathetic pat. "Don't worry, Aether. You've got plenty of other cool tricks up your sleeve! We'll get there without any trouble."
Aether smiled at her reassurance, even as he secretly wished he could teleport them all just this once.
As the group continued their walk, they finally arrived at the destination—the highest point in Mondstadt, overlooking the vast lands below. Aether, sensing they might need to prepare for whatever lay ahead, opened his inventory and retrieved a pair of ornate wolf daggers. He knelt down and handed them to Luminis, who looked at the weapons with wide eyes.
"Papa, are these for me?" Luminis asked, his small hands carefully gripping the daggers.
Aether smiled, patting his son on the head gently. "Yeah, something to help you defend yourself. But don't worry—we're not expecting to fight. This is just a precaution."
Luminis nodded, visibly excited at the thought of using the daggers, though Aether hoped he wouldn't need to.
Then, turning to Eula, Aether touched her shoulder, summoning the wolf armor that enveloped her. The armor shimmered around her form, protective and strong, yet elegant in its design.
"For protection," Aether said softly, meeting her eyes.
Eula smiled, appreciating the gesture. "Thank you, Aether. Though I'll always protect you too, remember that."
He smiled back, feeling a sense of unity with his companions. Each one of them was important, and as they continued their journey, Aether knew they had to be prepared for anything. The tension in the air was thick, and though they weren't expecting a fight, there was always an element of the unknown in their path.
Paimon, floating alongside Aether, chimed in with a mischievous grin. "Heh, Paimon bets you're still thinking about how cool teleportation would've been."
Aether chuckled, shaking his head. "Not this again."
The group shared a brief moment of laughter, easing the tension, before turning their focus back to the task at hand. Whatever awaited them at the top, they were ready for it—together.
