Chapter 20: Past and Future
Aether just looked at them. "So Mondstandt has 3 clans right, Gunnhildr, Ragvindr and Lawrence, Jean is the descended of Gunnhildr, Eula of Lawrence but I never meet the descended of Ragvindr"
Kaeya just looked at him. "You did, that would be Diluc".
Hearing that they can hear Both aether and Paimon brain crashing like that of a computer.
Aether just looked at Kaeya. "I think I miss heard that"
Kaeya chuckled, clearly enjoying the reaction. "Yes, Diluc is the descendant of the Ragvindr clan. The Ragvindrs were known for their strong ties to the Pyro element and their contributions to Mondstadt's history."
Aether blinked in disbelief. "But Diluc never mentioned this. I always thought his family was more focused on their winery and business."
Kaeya nodded. "Most people in Mondstadt don't know about the full extent of the Ragvindr clan's history. Diluc has kept that part of his heritage private. He's more focused on his role as a winery owner (protector of Mondstadt) now."
Paimon, recovering from the mental overload, looked up with wide eyes. "So, let me get this straight—Mondstadt has these three major clans, and each one has had a significant role in the city's history?"
Eula, still processing the conversation, nodded. "That's right. The Gunnhildr clan has been a prominent family of the Knights of Favonius, the Lawrence clan was once influential but fell out of favor, and the Ragvindr clan, which Diluc is a part of, was also powerful but has largely remained in the background in recent times."
Aether scratched his head. "I guess I'm learning new things about Mondstadt every day. This is fascinating."
Jeanne, who had been listening quietly, added, "Indeed. The history of Mondstadt is rich and complex, with each clan contributing in different ways. Understanding this history can help us address current issues and preserve the city's legacy."
Aether nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense. I guess it's important to understand the past to navigate the present and future."
Paimon floated beside Aether, still looking intrigued. "Well, now that we know this, does it change anything about our plans?"
Jeanne shook her head. "Not for now. Our immediate focus should be on addressing the situation with the Lawrence clan and any potential threats they might pose. Understanding the background of the clans is useful context, but our priority remains ensuring the safety and stability of Mondstadt."
With that, the group prepared to delve further into their investigation and continue their efforts to safeguard their city. The revelations about the clans only deepened their commitment, reinforcing the importance of their mission and the unity of their diverse team.
Jean then looked at the files. "Let's see a name is mentioned here Fatui"
Kaeya just sigehd. "It is always them".
Aether just looked at them. "Fatui sounds shady and Russian"
Eveyrone just looked at him, Aether has a tendency to say words that don't exist in this world, will no knew that he was from another world
Eula just looked at him. "Russian?"
Aether just looked at them. "Forget I said that, but Fatui I have heard of them, Jean mention then here and there".
Jean nodded. "The Fatui are a powerful and dangerous organization from Snezhnaya. They are known for their political machinations and their ruthless methods. Their influence extends far beyond Mondstadt, and they often act in their own interests, regardless of the consequences for others."
Kaeya added, "They've been involved in various schemes throughout Teyvat. The Fatui's presence in Mondstadt is a concern, especially considering their reputation and the fact that they don't play by the usual rules."
Eula frowned. "If the Fatui are involved, it could mean that there are larger forces at play behind the recent disturbances. We need to be cautious and thoroughly investigate their connections to the Lawrence clan."
Aether looked thoughtful. "If the Fatui are indeed involved, it might explain some of the recent oddities and conflicts we've been facing. Their actions could be influencing events behind the scenes."
Paimon floated beside Aether. "What do we do next? How do we deal with the Fatui if they're causing trouble?"
Jean looked determined. "First, we need to gather more information about their activities and their specific interests in Mondstadt. We'll need to be strategic and ensure that our actions don't play into their hands."
Kaeya agreed. "We should also keep our eyes and ears open for any unusual activity or potential allies who might have insights into the Fatui's plans."
Eula nodded. "I'll focus on investigating the Lawrence clan and any potential connections they might have with the Fatui. Meanwhile, we should coordinate with other factions and be prepared for any unexpected developments."
Aether felt the weight of the situation but remained resolute. "Let's get to work. The sooner we understand what's happening, the better we can protect Mondstadt and its people."
Aether looked at them. "Can I see the paper".
Jean handed him the paper. "Sure"
Aether just looked at them and then used a tracking mage crafts. "There I have put a tracking mage craft, I will taking a small peace and we can follow that to were the location is or...we just end up where we find them".
Kaeya just looked at him. "You know something we forget you can use magic".
Jean raised an eyebrow at Aether's use of magic. "It's impressive that you have such a versatile set of skills. We should certainly make use of them."
Eula nodded. "Yes, tracking magic will be very useful in locating the Fatui. Do you have any idea where it might lead us?"
Aether focused on the tracking magecraft, his eyes glowing slightly as he concentrated. "It's pointing towards an area in Mondstadt's outskirts. It seems to be leading to a secluded location—possibly a hideout or a meeting place."
Paimon hovered excitedly. "Oh, this is going to be an adventure! What if we find something really important?"
Aether smiled. "Let's hope so. But remember, we need to be cautious. The Fatui are known for their cunning and might have traps set up to deter intruders."
Kaeya looked serious. "We should prepare accordingly and make sure we're not walking into a trap. It's best if we approach the location with a plan."
Jean agreed. "We'll need to gather information on the area and ensure we have the right resources. It might be beneficial to have a few members of the Knights accompany us for backup."
Eula added, "I'll organize a small team to assist with the investigation. We'll coordinate and make sure we're ready for any eventuality."
Aether nodded. "Sounds like a plan. Let's get ready and make sure we're fully prepared before heading out."
As they made their preparations, Aether kept a close eye on the tracking magic, ensuring they stayed on the right path. The team gathered their equipment, discussed strategies, and prepared for the potential challenges ahead. Their investigation into the Fatui's involvement was about to take a significant step forward, and they were determined to uncover the truth behind the shadows that loomed over Mondstadt.
They arrived next to a cave as they nodded before they went, Aether stopped then, as he said trace on
Aether then made a Crimson Red Spear. "Kaeya how good are you with a Spesr".
Kaeya just looked at him. "Good enough why?"
Aether handed him the spear. "Take this, the Spear name is Gae Bolg"
Kaeya just looked at the spear. "Thanks for this".
Aether then made a bow and a few arrows. "This one for you Amber, it is called Tauropolos"
Aether then looker at Eula. "Trace on. As on his hand was another weapon. "This is Great sword, it is called Balmung, as for you Jeane there is a perfect weapon for you as will but....I can't summond it, too much Energy".
Aether then looker at the system screen that only he can she and let a smirk.
[ Host has given his allies weapon made from his mage crafts each weapon have the chances to crit, each weapon can crit and will activated the 1 million times crit effect through the weapon do to the weapon being made out the host mana ]
As they prepared for their mission, Aether looked at his allies with a determined expression. "Alright, everyone, let's review our roles. Kaeya, with Gae Bolg, you'll be the spearhead, taking on any close combat threats with precision. Amber, your new bow, Tauropolos, will give you enhanced range and power for supporting us from a distance."
Amber tested the bow, feeling its weight and balance. "This feels incredible. Thanks, Aether!"
Aether nodded. "Eula, with Balmung, you'll have the strength to cut through any obstacles. Jean, I couldn't summon your weapon, but it should be clear that I'll be fighting alongside you."
Jean looked reassured. "We'll manage. Your weapons will definitely give us an edge."
As they entered the cave, Aether kept the tracking magic active, leading them through the winding paths. The cave's atmosphere grew colder and darker as they delved deeper, with the occasional sound of dripping water echoing through the tunnels.
Kaeya glanced around, holding the spear at the ready. "Stay alert. We don't know what traps or enemies we might encounter."
The team moved cautiously, with Aether leading the way and using his magic to detect any hidden dangers. Suddenly, they reached a large chamber where the Fatui were gathered, discussing their plans.
Aether signaled to his team to halt. "We've found them. We'll need to be strategic about how we approach this. Amber, use your bow to take out any of their sentries quietly. Kaeya and Eula, prepare for close combat. Jean and I will handle any magical threats and provide support."
Amber notched an arrow and took careful aim, picking off a few of the Fatui members silently. The group then moved in, with Kaeya and Eula leading the charge.
As they engaged with the Fatui forces, the new weapons proved their worth. Kaeya's Gae Bolg struck with deadly accuracy, Amber's Tauropolos arrows pierced through multiple enemies, and Eula's Balmung cleaved through their ranks.
Aether's magic provided crucial support, dealing with the remaining threats and keeping the battlefield under control. His weapons also proved effective, thanks to the critical hit effects activated by his magecraft.
The battle raged on, but with their combined strength and the enhanced weapons, the team began to turn the tide. After a fierce fight, they finally subdued the Fatui members in the chamber.
Jean looked around, catching her breath. "Good work, everyone. We've taken them down, but we need to gather any intel they might have."
Aether approached a desk in the corner of the chamber and started examining documents and equipment. "We need to find out what they were planning and if there's any additional information about their operations."
As they searched through the Fatui's belongings, they discovered several documents detailing their plans and objectives, including some involving Mondstadt and its political dynamics.
Aether turned to his team. "We've got what we need. Let's head back and report our findings. This information could be crucial for Mondstadt's safety."
The group made their way back to the Knights of Favonius headquarters, ready to share their findings and prepare for any further actions required. The investigation into the Fatui's activities had revealed important details, but it was clear that there was more to uncover in the ongoing struggle against the threats facing Mondstadt.
Then they heard something as Aether then made a shield as they saw two new enemies, as Jeane looked at them.
Jeane then spoke. "A Mirror maiden and a Pyro agent".
Aether just looked at them. "Did you guys labels them".
The Pyro agent looked at him and spoke. "No that is our coded name for nrhr group we are part of".
Aether just nodded. "I see". Aether then looked at Mirror maiden and wishlist. "Hey she is kinda hot".
As then he felt a glare from both Amber and Eula as Aether started to sweet.
Pyro agent just looked at. "First of hey that is my girlfriend your talking about and second I see you have god taste in ladies like me"
The Mirrion maiden just looked at the Pyro agent. "First of all thank you love and second your sleeping at couch for saying that".
The atmosphere in the chamber shifted as the Pyro Agent and Mirror Maiden prepared to confront the group. Aether held his shield firmly, ready to defend against any attack.
Jean took charge, her gaze focused and determined. "We need to handle these two carefully. The Mirror Maiden's illusions can be tricky, and the Pyro Agent's attacks are intense."
The Pyro Agent grinned, his flames flickering with menace. "You're quite perceptive. But you're going to have a tough time with us."
The Mirror Maiden's eyes narrowed. "Indeed. And it seems we have some tensions in our midst."
Aether gave a sheepish smile, sensing the tension. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to offend. I was just making an observation."
The Pyro Agent raised an eyebrow. "Observations aside, let's see how well you handle our combined strength."
As the battle began, the Mirror Maiden used her illusions to create duplicates of herself, confusing the group. Aether quickly countered with a protective barrier, shielding his allies from the initial assault.
Kaeya took the lead, using Gae Bolg to strike at the illusions, aiming to find the real Mirror Maiden. Amber fired arrows with precise accuracy, targeting the Pyro Agent and trying to keep him at bay.
Eula engaged the Mirror Maiden, her Balmung cutting through illusions and revealing the real enemy. Jean supported with her sword, fending off the Pyro Agent's fiery attacks and coordinating with the team.
Aether used his magic to dispel some of the Mirror Maiden's illusions, while simultaneously summoning additional shields to protect against the Pyro Agent's fiery onslaught.
The Pyro Agent, frustrated by Amber's relentless assault, tried to close the distance. "You're quite a formidable opponent, but I'm just getting started!"
Aether, sensing the Pyro Agent's frustration, decided to take a more direct approach. "Alright, let's see how you handle this!"
He summoned a powerful flame of his own, countering the Pyro Agent's attacks and forcing him back. With the Mirror Maiden's illusions dissipating and the Pyro Agent momentarily stunned, the team pressed their advantage.
Eula and Kaeya coordinated their attacks, dealing heavy damage to the Mirror Maiden. Amber's precise arrows and Jean's swordplay kept the Pyro Agent on the defensive.
Finally, after a grueling battle, the Mirror Maiden and Pyro Agent were subdued. The Pyro Agent glared at Aether with a mix of frustration and respect. "You're better than I thought. This isn't over."
The Mirror Maiden, slightly less hostile but still annoyed, glanced at the Pyro Agent. "Let's go. We'll regroup and plan our next move."
As they left, Aether and the group took a moment to catch their breath. The chamber fell silent, save for the occasional drip of water.
Jean turned to Aether, a hint of a smile on her face. "Well, that was quite the fight. Good job, everyone. We've gathered some valuable intel and managed to fend off the Fatui's reinforcements."
Aether nodded, looking at the remaining documents and equipment. "We've got more to go through, but this should give us a good starting point. Let's head back and report everything to the Knights."
With their mission complete, the group made their way back to the Knights of Favonius headquarters. The battle had been intense, but they had managed to gather important information and hold their ground against formidable opponents.
As they arrived, Jean addressed the team. "Let's prepare our reports and discuss the next steps. We need to ensure Mondstadt's safety and stay ahead of the Fatui's schemes."
The team dispersed, ready to tackle the challenges ahead with renewed determination and a better understanding of the threats they faced.
