Chapter 72: Chapter 72
The attack was devastating for the Dayne fortress.
A dozen war elephants, with knights and archers, rushed over them.
Followed by about two thousand mercenaries who used arrows and swords.
Jon watched as the Dayne soldiers fell in droves.
Darkstar, he was clearly not used to battle.
Accustomed to ordering around a few soldiers, he didn't know how to lead his squads.
Jon, with his total Aura, attacked the soldiers without any regard.
He approached the garrison where Darkstar was. He felt his aura disappear, time was running out.
"Lord Gerold," he said.
He was young and attractive, but a look of contempt sat on his face.
"King of Valyria," he whispered.
His sword shone brightly in his hand.
"A great sword," Jon admitted when he saw it.
He couldn't deny it, she was beautiful.
The sword of dawn was the symbol of the Daynes, the pride of Arthur Dayne. Jon admitted that it looked divine, without any kind of streak, it seemed to have been freshly made, it shone as if the sun's rays were gathering on it.
"You made a mistake. Coming here," said Darkstar.
"Seriously, it doesn't seem like it, on the contrary, the Daynes are one of the greatest forces in Dorne, in my opinion, a good strategy... Not to mention that with the true lord of the Daynes in the dungeon, the soldiers will not fight as they should" he clarified.
Gerold glared at him.
"I am the lord of the Daynes," he said.
"And here you are, not in your fortress, not in the protection of your walls, with the common soldiers," Jon said.
Darkstar looked uncertain.
"I have to show that I am capable of leading on the battlefield," he whispered.
Jon heard him.
"No, that's clearly been disproven," he said.
Darkstar was furious.
He raised his sword and got into position.
"An extraordinary sword, but what about the swordsman?" he asked.
Darkstar attacked.
Jon evaded him easily.
"Lightning aura," he murmured.
Their swords clashed.
'What the devil?' he thought.
The lightning around him disappeared completely.
He had faced Euron Greyjoy who was unaffected by his elemental auras thanks to the Valyrian Steel armor.
But this was something else, Dawn had literally canceled the lightning aura when they clashed.
"Incredible," he murmured.
"Thank you," Darkstar said arrogantly when he heard it.
Jon smiled.
"No...I was not referring to you, Dawn, it is undoubtedly a sword that we can call legendary, but my dear Lord Gerold, you are not Arthur Dayne" he said.
Darkstar attacked him.
Jon avoided it again.
"Total Aura" Jon whispered.
The aura of the elements may be canceled by Dawn, but not his entire aura.
Maybe it only works with elemental auras.
Perhaps his holy sword skills were impossible to remove, but it made sense to a certain extent, after all, holy sword skills, were not ordinary skills but legendary ones.
It didn't matter.
His speed, strength, and endurance were superior.
Gerold sent his men after him, they were easy prey thanks to his aura.
"Well unfortunately I will kill you soon, I have a princess in my bed, with needs," Darkstar said.
The king of Valyria raised an eyebrow.
"Or yes, hear from your lover, don't be afraid, she will be treated well as a prisoner," Jon replied.
"Arianne likes it rough, I don't think you can handle her. King of Valyria" the boy provoked.
"I'm married," he replied.
"And?" Gerold said.
Jon rolled his eyes.
"Typical of Dorne, no loyalty," he whispered.
"This talk is over," Darkstar said.
"As you like," he said.
He attacked him.
Jon stopped him and threw him back.
Darkstar stood up and saw the king of Valyria put away his weapon.
"What are you doing?" he murmured.
Jon touched the sand on the ground with his hand.
Gerold saw with horror a dozen scorpions come out of it.
"Kill him," the boy ordered.
Gerold screamed at the scorpions that jumped at him.
Jon watched as he fell, a bright light illuminated his eyes, he was in the white room and immediately went to the computer.
He left immediately afterwards, he didn't have enough points to raise his skills, he had reached level 29 with 18 skill points.
The boy watched the siege engines as they threw their stones with Valyrian fire inside, destroying the doors.
"I didn't have to use dragons," the satisfied man muttered.
It did not take more than a few hours to take the fortress, before the surrender, two women appeared before the king of Valyria, both beautiful, even by the current beauty of the Dronians.
One was a few years older, short, curvy, and beautiful, with olive skin, large dark eyes, and lustrous black curly hair, large breasts, dressed in flowing silks, jewels, and other ostentatious displays of wealth.
The other was a woman of about thirty years old, tall, light-skinned, with long dark hair and bewitching violet eyes. She was wearing light blue silk.
"Princess Arianne Martell and Lady Allyria Dayne of Sunspear," he greeted.
They both bowed.
"King Jon," Arianne said with a captivating smile.
"His majesty," Allyria said.
"Princess, you will be escorted to Stepstones where your brother Quentyn awaits you, don't worry, he will have all the comforts he requires, in addition to the protection of Valyria," he said.
The Soldiers removed the princess. She followed them without looking back.
Allyria noted how the princess of course tried to charm the king with her well-endowed body, barely covered in her silks, but it didn't seem effective on Jon Targaryen.
"Lady Allyria, your nephew is currently being cared for by the healers, I can guarantee his safety, and also that of his men as long as you promise not to get involved in the war against Doran Martell," he said.
"Sunspear's majesty has fallen, you can get everything from us, there is not much we can do," she said.
"You can rest assured, I will not abuse my position, you and the Daynes have my respect, they are good soldiers, and loyal to their masters. Unfortunately, Dorne will fall to Valyria before too long," he said.
"Dorne is not weak," she said.
"No, it is not. Unfortunately, as we fought in Sunspear, others are currently fighting, preventing the sending of resources to the south " he said.
[T/N: My GOD! Sunspear can be said as starfield, in Spanish starfield is Campoestrella. In my mother tongue poes is something you say to someone as an insult or if you are swearing at them and promising violence. As you can imagine this caught my attention.]
'They are attacking two strong lands at the same time' she thought.
"I do not plan to eliminate any house or lord if I can help it, however, I will win this war, I think my lady is aware of that, and I do not think she is in favor of the Martells" he clarified, and handed her the letter he received from little finger.
The woman read it and sighed.
"Doran made a mistake, but we still love Elia," she said.
Jon nodded.
"Elia Martell deserves justice, what the Lannisters and the mountain dog did, they will be charged, King Robb will take care of that, Doran should have planned an alliance, not a murder," he said.
The woman nodded.
"What do you want from us, your majesty?" she asked.
Jon looked at her.
"In a few days, a caravan will arrive at your fortress, in it you will have villagers, food, water, and resources to last a year, I assure you that my war will not take so long, you will simply have to stay at home, I will not ask you for men or resources," he said.
She nodded.
"In that case, Edric will take his rightful position," she said.
Jon nodded.
"Of course, but after Sunspear is taken, Valyria will claim her territory in the lands of Dorne, you, and your nephew, will be contracted in marriage to Valyrian nobles," he said.
The woman nodded.
"Don't be afraid, as I already told you, I respect your house a lot, I will make sure that your husband and your future niece are loyal and good people," he said.

Robb could hear the rumblings as the Lannister army fell one by one.
He already opted for a frontal attack with his ships to support, while he opted for a lateral attack by land.
His ability to summon armor was useful now, as he could summon it for relatively little mana, and it was high-quality armor, not magic or Valyrian steel but various metals and dragonglass.
[T/N: Huh? I thought it was valerian armor.]
These armors were worn by his generals, while the common soldiers had armor stolen in battle.
He wasn't able to support everyone.
Jon gave enough gold to keep the war going, but creating armor took time.
Robb had ignored the soldiers stealing from bodies.
"Dishonorable things are done in war" he learned it from the Freys, from the Boltons.
He wouldn't make mistakes like that again.
He would prevent the rapes of villagers.
He would prevent murders of children or the elderly.
He would prevent kidnappings or extortions.
But not if the soldiers attack.
If enemies attack and die, he would ignore if his belongings were stolen.
As long as the body was intact and not disgraced, it was fine with him.
Maybe Ned Stark would do things differently.
On the other hand, he was Robb Stark.
Ned was not betrayed by his own men.
He was attacked in a castle under the protection of the guest rules.
No, he was not his father.
he loved
He respected
He admired his father, his wars, his justice.
But he wasn't Ned.
Robb watched as the Ironborn in the distance burned a dock.
Yara had orders not to take citizens.
She complained.
But Robb clarified that kidnappings, rapes, or deaths of defenseless people would not be tolerated by the north.
The girl only looked him in the eyes and then said to him that she was his wife of salt, that if he had her, the men would want a reward.
Robb made it clear to her that she could renounce the title whenever she wanted and that if an Ironborn took someone he would be executed.
The girl sighed in frustration.
"We will take gold and food," she warned.
Robb shrugged his shoulders.
The boy still remembered the conversation.
He was to take care of the Ironborn after he takes King's Landing.
Their culture had to change if they wanted to be in the northern kingdom, he couldn't continue like this.
"Make time for that," he muttered and eliminated another enemy.
He saw two others approach and be eliminated by Dacey and Val.
"Aura Stamina," he murmured.
He continued to attack more and more soldiers and regained energy from them.
"DIE!"He heard and was hit.
But his armor stopped it easily.
"Summon Weapons," he muttered, a javelin appeared in his hand. And he threw it, it went through the soldier's chest.
The boy felt a bright light, arrived at the white room, and went straight to the computer.

"Yara took the port, Lannisport is ours," Dacey told him, while he saw the last soldiers flee to the rock.
"Well, Casterly Rock continues," he finished.
