Chapter 71: Chapter 71-[Arya getting freaky]
Bran calmly looked at the lords from his chair.
"As I already declared, my lords," he said.
They were at a table on Dragonstone. Ronnet Connington, Lester Morrigen, Donnel Swann, Aemon Estermont, Selwyn Tarth and Jason Dondarrion.
"We don't ask for much, Lord Stark," Connington said with a confident smile.
"No, of course not, just a princess as a hostage, I suppose that for a Connington it is not much, after all, your family was never very smart, perhaps that is why they are not one of the big families, but a small one...and it is King Brandon, or prince if you prefer to refer to me by my Stark title," He said this without being intimidated.
The man grunted.
"Or the king beyond the wall, a wild king," said Connington.
"Yes, yes...the savages are bad, blah, blah, blah" Bran said without giving it importance, Shireen seemed to try to contain her laughter.
Bran did nothing but scorn the lords as soon as they arrived, supposedly a peaceful negotiation, but neither Connington nor Morrigen could resist the little comments Brandon gave them. The worst thing was not that, but how he saw them, like small annoying insects.
A look that did not go unnoticed by Stannis' lords or his queen, who also tried to contain her laughter. Ser Davos watched everything with a nervous look.
"We want the protection of the princess, Prince. Is that wrong? Don't we show our loyalty? Stannis died in the north, fighting for King Robb, isn't the north abusing its position in keeping Storms End? " Donnel Swann said.
Connington, Morrigen, and Estermont nodded.
"Oh, then I suppose you are here, to ensure his protection? " Bran asked calmly.
"Of course," Estermont said.
"Then I assume that the poorly hidden ships in Amberly are pirates?" he asked.
An awkward silence occurred in the room.
"Excuse me?" Connington muttered.
"Lord Tarth," Bran said.
"Yes, Prince Brandon, there are about six hundred ships, made of green stone in Amberly, three hundred in Cape Wrath in Crow's Nest," he said.
The other gentlemen look at them nervously, except Estermont who sighed.
"Members of their houses have also been seen on the ships, as well as soldiers with their insignia," said Jason Dondarrion.
"That..." Morrigen murmured.
"Enough...It's true, we have men willing to fight" Estermont admitted.
"Uncle Aemon," Princess Baratheon whispered.
He didn't look her in the eyes.
"It is not our intention to use them, they are only a last resort" He clarified.
"Last resort? It seems like a first resort, Lord Estermont, my fiancée has told me about you, she tells me that she is loyal and that she esteems you," said Bran.
Estermont bit his lips.
"But it doesn't seem like it, a loyal person, a loyal Lord, would have gone to war with his father," he said.
"I went," he said.
"No, no...You left with Renly, even knowing that Stannis was the older brother, after his death, you stayed waiting in the comfort of your castle, you did not fight at the king's landing, you did not go to the north, you did not fight for his king, and now you say you want to protect his daughter? Are you accusing me of holding her hostage? Me? a Stark, we Starks fought alongside Robert, alongside Stannis, and you hide an army of six thousand soldiers to obtain it and you dare to ask me for my fiancée as a hostage " Brandon said.
Aemon Estermont was silent for a moment.
"You have excellent information, prince, we have clearly underestimated you, and you are right, about Renly, I believed that he would govern better than Stannis, better connected... It was a mistake, I admit it openly... But make no mistake... I love that girl as if she were my daughter, I would kill for her, would die for her. I had no problem with Shireen being his wife, you don't seem like a strong man to me, someone like Robert once was, everything would be fine if they hadn't joined the Targaryens, our enemies," he said.
"Oh so now we see what you really want...you want to get away from Valyria," Bran said.
The gentlemen raised an eyebrow at that.
"Now that you've said what they wanted to say, it's my turn," he said.
The gentlemen looked at him.
"You are going to leave here, go to your armies, you are going to dismantle them, you are going to return home, and talk to your families about your mistakes, then you are going to go to the wall for the rest of your lives," Bran said.
"WHAT?!"
"Oh don't misunderstand this is not a punishment, call it an example," he said with a kind smile.
"BOY!" Morrigen said angrily.
But a cold look from Brandon silenced him.
"Your other option is to attack," he said simply.
The others blinked even the queen and Shireen.
"But of course, if an attack occurs, you will die, your men will die, your castles, fortresses, or whatever you call your lower-ranking pigsties, will be reduced to rubble, your families will be exiled from the storms, and all the kingdoms that there is a Stark or Baratheon, they will also receive the same punishment, all the houses that support them, whether they are bannermen or not," Bran concluded.
A silence appeared in the room.
"Are you crazy?" Morrigen said.
"Mad, no, Lord Morrigen, I am furious at how disloyal your houses are, how ungrateful they have been... Jon Connington did nothing to prevent my grandfather and uncle from being burned in Valyrian fire and on top of that your support to the Targaryens, and now you have a problem with the Targaryens, you are a hypocrite," Bran told him.
Ronnet Connington closed his mouth nervously.
"And your Morrigen, after Stannis sealed your dispute with the Conningtons and rewarded you with territories, how do you pay for that, you are a traitor," Bran told him.
Lester Morrigen gulped when he heard it.
"I'm not surprised about you Donnel Swann, you only know how to kneel, Renly, first then Stannis, then Joffrey, hell make up your mind," Bran said.
Donnel Swann glared at him.
" Aemon Estermont I will not say anything about you, you are more than clear, what matters to you" he whispered ending the meeting.

Aemon looked tired as he stood alone in his room.
"You look tired." the man heard, out of nowhere a woman appeared.
"Princess Arya Stark," he greeted without being surprised.
They both looked at each other for a second before the old man sighed.
"I'm too old for this," he murmured.
Arya smiled.
"What are you complaining about, everyone now believes that you attacked Bran and you are a traitor," she said.
The old man sighed again.
"Well, nothing to do now, Prince Brandon's plan worked, and everyone revealed their betrayal... But I couldn't tell Shireen the truth, the princess must hate me now," the old man said as if he felt sorry for the princess.
"Don't be so annoying, Bran will tell her that you are his spy," Arya said.
"I could have told her," he said.
"The princess is very expressive, if she didn't get upset with you, the others wouldn't believe you, you can apologize later, buy her a pony or something," she said.
"Pony? Yes, maybe, or sweets," he said.
Arya rolled her eyes at him.
"Is Daenerys still bothering you?" she asked.
The old man sighed.
"I have nothing against the queen of Valyria, except that she is the daughter of the mad king, princess. I will respect her marriage to your brother, but my loyalty will be to Shireen," he said.
"I guess that's fine. As soon as the battle begins," she said.
"I attack them from behind, don't be afraid, my men are loyal," he finished.

Robb looked at the letter from his tent.
"Is everything okay?" he heard.
Dacey appeared with little clothing, just a nightgown with nothing underneath, she had just gotten out of bed.
"Two days," he said.
"So, we are here, with just two days, to attack the Lannister port," Dacey murmured.
Robb nodded.
"It's the last place where the supplies can reach," he said.
"And then the rock," she muttered.
"Jaime Lannister is on the rock, he reportedly brought an army with him," he said.
"You took care of Jaime once, you'll do it again," she said, kissing his cheek.

Bran looked at Shireen as she entered the room.
"Princess?" Bran asked.
"My prince, can we talk?" she asked nervously.
Bran noticed that she was wearing a small nightgown, it reached her thighs and showed cleavage.
'She is coming to seduce me' he thought.
[T/N: This is so funny while editing this, I don't know why but the translator struggles with pronouns, as in the difference between she/he/it/they/them so I'm just imagining some hairy old man in a nightgown showing his hairy chest.]
"Of course," she said and closed the door behind her.
The girl sat in a chair looking nervous.
"About our wedding?" he asked.
She denied.
"No, of course not, I'm very happy to be accepted, by someone as handsome as you, oh and your other wife, I'm grateful to her too," she said nervously.
Bran furrowed an eyebrow.
"It's about Lord Estermont," she said nervously.
'Oh, of course, she doesn't know the truth' he thought.
'Should I tell her?' he thought, staring at the girl.
The desire was there.
The girl wasn't helping dressed like that.
Brandon shook his head.
'No, bad Bran, bad,' the boy thought.
[T/N: Poor man, horny be tough.]
He missed Meera.
"Don't be afraid, Lord Estermont, he is a spy," he told her.
"What?" she said incredulously.
"He has been informing us from the beginning, the meeting was theater, more than anything to warn Connington and Morrigen of the consequences, and to see how involved Swann was," he said.
"Why didn't you tell me?" she asked.
"The queen thought they might suspect," Bran said.
He sat next to her.
"Mother? Of course Mom," she said.
Bran approached her when the girl turned her head, her lips touched the boy's, she tried to get away from him, but Brandon took her by the waist, holding her in place.
[T/N: WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! BRAN! CONTROL YOUR LUST!]
Shireen closed her eyes, enjoying her first kiss.
She blushed when Bran smiled at her.
The princess rested her head on his shoulder.
"Will the war end soon?" she asked.
"This is not a war, but a battle, and yes, it will end soon," he said, kissing her again.

Gendry looked out the balcony, he had been aware of everything, at the meeting he didn't say anything, he pretended to be a guard.
The queen told him not to tell of their relationship, it was dangerous.
He did not understand if the danger was for her, because he was Robert's son, and she feared that he would take away her authority with her lords.
Or for him in case someone was allied with the Lannisters.
'Maybe both' the boy thought.
He felt arms wrap around his waist.
He turned to see Arya who had entered the room.
Gendry received a soft kiss from the girl's lips as she leaned down.
"How was it for you?"He asked.
He approached a table and poured her a glass of wine.
Arya took it and drank.
"Everything went according to the plan," she said.
"We must be grateful to Davos," he mused.
The girl nodded.
"I have to admit, your friend was helpful," she said.
"This will be quick, right?" Gendry asked.
"You're afraid, you can stay in the castle, I'm sure the queen will protect you," Arya provoked.
Gendry furrowed an eyebrow.
"I can handle anything," he said.
Arya laughed.
"Oh I should have taken you to Essos, those were battles, this is boring," she said.
Gendry sighed at the attitude.
"We could see the Dog brought in at least, or your wolf," he said.
"The dog? Surely he gets drunk and ends up helping the enemy, and Nymeria is protecting Ned and Talisa " she said.
"I'm just saying they could have been useful," he says.
Arya approached him and stroked his hair.
"Don't be afraid, I'll protect you," she mocked before laughing.
Genry got fed up with her and took her hand, pulled her to him, and sat her on his lap.
Arya kissed him passionately.
"What's up little deer? Afraid of the bad wolf?" she whispered in his ear.
"Never," he whispered to her.
Arya stood up and grabbed his hand to bring him with her, she walked over to the bed, where she pushed Gendry.
The boy felt how she climbed on top of him.
"AND? Take off your clothes," she demanded.
[T/N: Damn, girl knows what she wants.]

Jon looked calmly at the outskirts of the Dayne stronghold.
Good look was one way of saying it.
Rather the crow was watching, and he was looking through its eyes.
'About six thousand' he thought.
The crow had a small bag around its neck and he looked around the fortress and found some thick bars on a window on a lower floor.
'There' he thought.
He flew up to the barred windows and crawled in.
It was a dungeon.
There was a person, a boy his age, light hair, and purple eyes. He was asleep, his hair all dirty.
'He's been there a long time,' he whispered.
'Wake him up'
The crow reached the boy and pecked him on the head.
"AH" he exclaimed, waking up.
The boy looked at the crow confused and turned to see if an idiot darkstar playing a prank on him again.
But there was no one, a darkstar guard asleep in a corner, and he was in the cell, he looked at the crow.
"Where did you come from?" he asked.
The crow raised its neck so that he could see the bag.
He took it, and the crow flew away.
"What's wrong?" he murmured.
He opened the bag, and in it were two pieces of hot meat with a note.
He devoured the meat immediately, darkstar had not given him more than one meal a day for weeks, and he only received that because his aunt threatened to take away her army.
"It's delicious," he murmured.
He wasn't sure what it was.
"Maybe...It's freshly baked...What's wrong?" he murmured.
He looked at the note and opened it.
'Dear Edric Dayne
Lord of House Dayne,
I am Jon Targaryen,
king of Valyria,
I do not know if you are aware of the situation,
but currently, Dorne is at war with my kingdom.
This war is against the Martells for the attempted murder of my ally and family, King Robb Stark, we know that you are innocent of the charges against me and my kingdom and plan to release you as soon as we take Sunspear.
I understand that this seems bad to you, your men will die before our swords, believe me, my intention was never to attack Dorne, but Doran Martell denied our demands.
It is not our intention to hurt your family, but in the current situation, there will be no other option than to launch a frontal and decisive attack against the fortress.
From now on, we will free you, and I hope that we can restore your House Lord of Dayne status when the attack is over, I plan to eliminate Gerold, but we don't plan to kill any Dayne that surrenders his weapons, I hope the food is to your liking, and I promise to explain everything, once everything is over.
Sincerely
Jon Targaryen
King of Valyria'
[T/N: Ok, lots of things to unpack here. First, it seems some nobles are about to be shown their place, then it seems Arya is getting freaky, so we may see next book if the children of Stark Woman also get to use the system, and if it is needed to marry someone to get system access or should they just be considered a partner and if they will keep access when broken up. I think I went off the rail there. If you like this chapter then leave a comment, write a review, and drop some stones.
