Chapter 8: Chapter 7
" So what do you say deal or no deal?" Aurion asked.
Aerys was silent, he knew there wasn't a woman of Targaryen blood he could sell off, but he also wanted a dragon.
Aerys shook his head trying to think of a way, and saw his wife out of the corner of his eyes, he then turned to look at her fully as his eyes shined, seeming as if a dangerous idea was being put together in his twisted mind.
His sudden actions didn't go unnoticed by Aurion or Tywin, and soon, the two of them caught on quickly to what the king of the seven kingdoms must be thinking.
And for the first time since they met Aurion and Tywin both had an expression of pure disgust on their faces looking at Aerys.
' This motherfucker wants to give me his wife? Or is it the child in her belly he's hoping could be a girl? Either way, this thing can't even be called a man anymore.' Aurion thinks to himself not knowing someone else present shared his outlook on the situation.
" I have no intention, of waiting for a child to grow up or raise a child bride." Aurion says his voice carrying a tone of finality as he looks at the increasingly sad Rhaella.
Aurion's words seemed to awaken Aerys from his thoughts as he returned his gaze to Aurion.
" You said you came looking for a wife, what if I don't have a woman of Targaryen descent to offer you?" Asked Aerys.
Aurion smiled.
"It's rather simple, Westeros is filled with families with magic in their blood, they may not be as prestigious as those from Valyria but it should be enough, I already have my candidates picked out if you can offer me a Targaryen wife I'll pay them a visit and make them the same offer for a wife of their blood."
" You think my kingdom as your personal wife-picking shop?" Aerys asked upset.
" I do." Aurion answered without skipping a beat.
" I am king, I can make it so no one will accept your offer, here you will find a Targaryen wife or none at all."
Aurion's smile disappeared, replaced with a small frown.
" Aerys, can't you see how foolish the statement you just made was?"
" I'm offering them dragons, the very thing that caused them to bend the knee in the first place, and you think they will ignore it and listen to you? Because you wear a crown and call yourself king? I offer them dragons they would let me fuck their mothers if I wanted."
" I am King, and I will have their heads if they disobey me!" Aerys shouts.
" And I'll burn you with dragon fire in return."
GROWL!!!!!
Feeling the change in Aurion's emotion his dragons rose, standing up growling looking at the king.
" I think you both should calm down, things haven't reached the point of fire and blood as yet." Tywin says.
" Your grace, what he says is true once he offers them dragons they will ignore your words, and Aurion will be forced to protect or avenge them as he would have married that family's daughter." Says Tywin.
"Lord Aurion, I'm sure you would rather marry a Targaryen, so why not give His Majesty some time to select one for you? One with Targaryen blood of course."
The two men looked at each other in silence and as if feeling Aurion's calmness his dragons dropped back to the ground but their eyes never left the King.
" You're right, one year. I'll give you one year to find me a wife, but while you do that I'll visit the other candidates if after a year you can't provide me a wife I'll pick from my candidates. I warn you now do not attack the families I visit or I will respond accordingly." Says Aurion.
" One year." Aerys whispers glancing at his wife for a brief second before nodding.
" We have a deal, but we have no saddles left over, and I would need some time to gather the money." Says Aerys.
' No saddles? He must be lying, is he doing it just to deny me it, to comfort his ego.'
" Fine, I'll be heading to the wall that should give you enough time to gather the money for when I return."
" Very well, tell me the house you have as candidates at least I'll tell you if they have women of marrying age, so you won't waste a trip later." Aerys says.
" I'm sure you'll find out when I visit them, a little extra flight time isn't anything to worry about."
" As you don't have any saddles to give me I'll think of something else I want for when I return." Aurion says turning and walking to Vhagar.
With practiced ease he climbed onto Vhagar's back looking down on those present, his eyes scanned Aerys and Tywin and then stuck on Rhaella.
The two looked at each other quietly before Aurion broke the eye contact and spoke again.
" King Aerys I'll see you soon."
Without a command, the two dragons stood up and took flight and soon disappeared.
( Hours later)
{ Tywin Lannister room}
Tywin was sitting at a table and across from him was a beautiful young woman, she had long golden hair and shinning green eyes, and wearing a yellow dress she carried an air of youth.
" I'm sure you know what happened today." Says Tywin.
" Yes, father." She answered.
" Good, then you no longer need to keep trying to get close to Rhaegar." Tywin says.
The girl looked shocked at the new instructions, clearly not understanding why she should stop pursuing the crown prince.
" From the look on your face, I see you don't understand. Well it's not your fault he played it well and you weren't there. His answers were sensible he showed emotion when he needed to, I must admit he had me fooled for a moment as well." Says Tywin.
" Soon the realm will be in chaos as news of his arrival spreads, then he will begin his plans." Says Tywin.
" Father I don't understand, can you explain it to me?" She asked.
" I will have to, for you to understand the man you are to marry." Says Tywin.
