Chapter 32: Winterfell II
(Third Person POV)
As Rhaegon dismounted Morghul, Shrykos slowly walked towards the black dragon and let out a rumble as she leaned in towards them.
Rhaegon saw this and chuckled slightly, "Missed him, huh?" He said
He then took some steps away from Morghul, noticing that his dragon was larger than Daenerys's, a bit surprised at that fact.
Daenerys walked towards Rhaegon, "Nephew."
Rhaegon turned around and smiled, bowing slightly, "Princess." He said, "It has been a long time since we've seen each other."
Daenerys reached him and hugged him, "Oh, how I've missed you." She said with a chuckle, "How have you been?"
Rhaegon nodded, "Good." He said, "As you can see, Morghul and I have been eating well."
Daenerys pulled away as she looked at Morghul rubbing his neck against Shrykos, both of them vocalizing loudly, shaking their necks and sharing warmth with each other.
"He's growing larger." Daenerys said with a smile
"That, he is." Rhaegon said before turning to Robb who stood a few feet away, "Lord Stark, it has been a long time as well."
He walked over to him and offered his arm.
Robb shook his head and nodded, "Four years, Lord Rhaegon." He said, "Haven't seen you since the Feast after the Rebellion ended."
"Yes, how is everyone here in Winterfell?" Rhaegon said, "I hope my Aunt is treated well."
"She is." Robb said as he slightly smiled, "She's a Princess, of course, she'd be treated well."
Rhaegon smiled as he took his leather gloves off, "Rather cold, isn't it?" He said as he looked around, "I admit, Robb, I do not know how you Northerners do it, heh. You have my upmost respect."
In the distance, three dragonkeepers slowly made their way towards them, calling for the Dragons.
"Shrykos, Morghul, Nopot!"
The two dragons looked at the small humans with defiant eyes as they shook their heads and let out rumbles of their own.
Rhaegon saw this and sighed,
"Ah, Morghul, Lykiri! Nopot."
Morghul then reluctantly obeyed as he looked at the keepers, slowly walking past Shrykos and making his way to the dragonpit as Daenerys's dragon followed. After several moments, the two beasts were past the gate of the pit as the keepers bowed to both Rhaegon and Daenerys before closing it.
Daenerys then looked at Rhaegon, "So...." She said, "What's this about the Dothraki Sea I hear about?"
Rhaegon sighed again, "Oh that...." He said, "Your brother can be an annoying prick sometimes."
Daenerys chuckled, "Rhaegon, he's the Prince!" She said as she stood next to Robb, "Why would you even listen to what Viserys says? The two of you together in Essos was stressful to hear about."
Rhaegon nodded, "The sights were beautiful, the plains that I saw." He said as he rubbed his hands together, "But what ruined it was the horse-riding savages yelling out with their excessive war-cries."
"I heard about them." Robb said, "They're supposedly dangerous. Father tells me that no army in Westeros can take them in an open field."
Rhaegon nodded, "They're fearsome, that much is true." He said, "But what good is their fearsome horse-riding against a dragonrider?"
Daenerys frowned, "You fought them?"
"Yes, and a Khal challenged me to a duel." Rhaegon said, "I killed him as Viserys had his fun with his Khalassar. The screams were loud."
"Viserys did.....he burned them?" Daenerys said with a horrified look, "I just heard that the two of you flew to Essos, not that you....."
"What he did was....too much..." Rhaegon admitted, "But what the Dothraki were doing, I don't blame Uncle for what he did. He only punished the Dothraki, no innocents were harmed. At least no more than what the Dothraki were doing to them. Anyways, Aunt.....let's move on from that topic."
Robb saw it in Rhaegon's eyes; he meant what he said. Rhaegon saw things in Essos that he didn't want to talk about and he understood it.
Robb cleared his throat, "My Father would be delighted to hear about your arrival, Ser Rhaegon." He said as Daenerys wrapped her arms around him, "He's currently getting the Halls of Winterfell ready for the Feast."
"Ah, yes, The Feast." Rhaegon said as he looked past them and at Winterfell, "Everyone in the North is looking forward to it, unlike the South is. Well, considering they're looking forward the actual Wedding, I can't blame them."
Daenerys chuckled, "Is Shaena coming?" She asked Rhaegon
"She wouldn't miss it for the world." Rhaegon said with a smile, "Robb Stark and Daenerys Targaryen getting married. King Rhaegar has been overjoyed as well, Aunt. This wedding is highly anticipated.....They call it the Union of Ice and Fire. Quite the catchy name, if I say so myself."
Robb chuckled, "I hear you're also nearing marriage, Ser." He said, "Have you found any suitors?"
Rhaegon shook his head as he walked past them and kicked some snow away, "Oh, you know me, Robb." He said, "I'm more content in flying my dragon. Marriage sounds like a bore. But oh well, we must do our duty, right?"
Robb nodded, "That, we do."
Rhaegon looked at Daenerys, he saw the glint in her eyes, her beautiful purple eyes. They were as glimmering as the day he last saw her.
Rhaegon understood the moment he saw Daenerys holding onto Robb's arm, she was happy with him. And Robb Stark would treat her right. That is all Rhaegon cared about, every worry he had was put to rest.
Worries that he did not know he had.
Rhaegon sighed, "I shall go and greet your Family then, Lord Robb." he said as he looked away, "I'll leave you two alone, apologies for interrupting your walk."
Daenerys frowned, "It is okay, Rhaegon." She said, "You didn't interrupt us."
"Your presence is always welcomed, Ser Rhaegon." Robb said, "No need to apologize."
Rhaegon nodded at them, "I'll take my leave." He said, "Princess, it is good to see you."
He then proceeded to walk away as Daenerys and Robb stood there, watching him make his way to to Winterfell.
Daenerys sighed, "It is good to see him after all this time." She said softly
Robb nodded, "I understand." He said, "You haven't seen your family much since coming here, Princess."
Daenerys looked at him, "You all have been kind to me." She said with a smile,
"Soon, I'll be apart of your Family."
