Game Merchant in Remnant

Chapter 31: Human Club

"Not good! My element of surprise is now lost."

Concealing her Semblance wasn't crucial to her, but she preferred it to remain unnoticed. Having a concealed advantage allowed her to subtly influence events, like nudging her opponent's weapons slightly off-target or shooting with a bit more precision than usual.

Shizuo, on the other hand, winked and smiled approvingly.

"Go get him, girl!"

"Come on, Pyrrha!"

"Go, P-Money!"

"Don't give up!"

She recognized the voices of her teammates and Team RWBY, followed by the rest of her classmates, all rooting for her.

It was an odd reversal from her tournament experiences. There, she was always the favorite, and it was her opponent who received the cheers. After all, everyone loves an underdog.

This was the first time she truly felt the crowd's support.

And it didn't feel bad at all.

Embracing the temporary unity of Beacon's first years, she was going to fight with renewed vigor, but in a moment's notice. Shizuo in a flash punched Pyrrha.

Booooooooooommmm!

The audience was expected a grueling back-and-forth battle. Instead, it ended abruptly. Shizuo sent Pyrrha flying out of the ring, through the amphitheater walls, the locker room, and she finally came to rest in the nurse's office.

He had to acknowledge Pyrrha's resilience; her Aura was nearly depleted. Ultimately, the Spartan princess survived, suffering only a concussion, a few fractures, and scrapes. Her semblance, manipulated metal to soften her landing, and spared her from more serious injuries.

The first-year students who remained conscious were utterly captivated. They had never seen a strike like this before and knew it would be fatal if they were hit by that punch.

For the first time, the Invincible Girl was defeated and nearly perished. Those unfamiliar with Shizuo Heiwajima, the Mini Kaiju of Vale, were now well aware of his reputation. The more they learned about him, the more difficult it became to stay calm amidst the frightening details.

"OKAY, BITCHES! I'm claiming the victory and the prize."

Ilia declared as she stepped onto the platform, but her words didn't sit well with the rest of her harem.

"Kick her butt, Shizuo!"

"Break her legs!"

"Put her in her place!"

"Do your best, Ilia!"

The girls gave Ruby looks of betrayal, but in the next instant, they noticed Ilia had drawn a laser pointer instead of her Lightning Lash.

"Time for a lesson, losers."

With those words, Ilia activated the laser pointer, and a red dot appeared near Shizuo. What happened next was unbelievable. The formidable Mini Kaiju of Vale started chasing the red dot like a cat, which Ilia cleverly used to lead him out of the ring.

"Shizuo Heiwajima is out of bounds; the winner is Ilia Amitola!"

"Miss Amitola has also won a passing grade for my class for the semester!"

Professor Goodwitch announced, leaving everyone in shock.

"I can't believe that worked!"

"How did you figure it out?"

"Damn, Ilia, respect!"

"Ugh, I really wanted to see someone get their legs broken."

To satisfy their curiosity about how she found his weakness, Ilia began to explain.

"Ladies, it's not that complicated! You've all forgotten that Shizuo is basically an oversized cat and behaves like one when you're not paying attention."

"Dammit, Ilia! You promised you wouldn't do that again!"

Shizuo shouted as he stormed back in, but Ilia quickly pulled a fish from her bag and tossed it in the opposite direction.

"There's no way that's going to work."

Weiss exclaimed, watching the fish soar through the air. To everyone's disbelief, Shizuo started chasing the fish, with Blake in tow. He caught it and was about to devour it whole but paused, noticing his cat Faunus girlfriend drooling beside him. Being the considerate boyfriend, he split the fish, giving her the larger portion.

Witnessing Ilia's effective action against Shizuo, Yang dropped to her knees, bowing before her, treating her like a deity.

"Oh, Great one! Teach me your ways!"

-In the headmaster's office a few minutes earlier-

Ozpin sat sipping his coffee, fiddling with the globe on his desk. His moment of tranquility was shattered as his eyes widened imperceptibly behind his glasses, and he snapped the globe closed with a sudden movement.

He had just sensed the most potent magical presence he had ever felt since the twin gods. He hurried to the amphitheater, the source of the presence, only to find Miss Amitola amusingly using a laser pointer to lure Mister Heiwajima off the ring's platform.

Approaching close to Shizuo's vicinity, he immediately shuddered from the intense magic in the air. It felt as if the place was imbued with the power of one of the Twin Gods. An overwhelming sense of power, unfamiliar for a long time, washed over him as he gazed at Mister Heiwajima.

"Can I help you, Headmaster?"

The well-endowed blond professor inquired, fixing his gaze on Headmaster Ozpin.

"I would like to review all the footage of the events in your class, Glynda."

Ozpin commanded, exhaling wearily.

Watching the recordings of Shizuo's actions triggered alarms in Ozpin's mind. His extensive experience was the only thing that prevented him from panicking as he adjusted his glasses with a smile towards the young enigma.

Shizuo remained an enigma, yet his immense power was evident. The fact that he chose to use his newfound abilities solely to eliminate the creatures of Grimm was a reassuring indicator of his benevolent character.

Ding! Dong!

"You are all dismissed."

At Glynda's dismissal, the students were ready to leave for lunch, hurrying up for some long-awaited grub as the teacher announced something to the excused students.

"Remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from the other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those of you who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!"

"And so… there we were, in the middle of the night…"

"It was day."

"We were surrounded by Ursai!"

"They were Beowolves."

"DOZENS OF THEM!"

"Two of them."

"But they were no match! And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs!"

As Nora finished her tall tale, all of her friends couldn't help but look at her quizzically, as the silence permeated Ren sighed deeply before clarifying.

"She's been having this dream for nearly a month now."

Such an answer incited a bunch of "Ah's" from the audience.

"Ow! That hurts!"

"Ha! I told you they were real!"

"Please… stop…"

Velvet cried out at the resident bully Cardin Winchester with an arm and leg in an orthopedic cast, mocking the poor rabbit Faunus, who was almost crying in pain from him unnecessarily pulling her ears. Making teams RWBY, JNPR, and SAMM realize that Cardin was playing with fire.

"Ah, Crap! Shizuo is going to kill him."

The buxom blonde commented, watching Shizuo rise from his seat, heading towards the commotion happening nearby.

"Good, I can't stand people like him."

Blake remarked.

Ren, Nora, Ruby, and Yang murmured in agreement. Shizuo scowled intensely, the most severe they had ever witnessed.

Ruby saw her boyfriend as a knight in shining armor, setting off to undoubtedly resolve the conflict. She began cheering from the sidelines:

"Kick his butt, Shizuo!"

Approaching, the blonde Lion Faunus was signaled by one of Cardin's henchmen with a tap on the shoulder, warning the brute of Shizuo's approach. The CRDL group faced the newcomer, anticipating a confrontation.

"Why are you touching my Bunny?"

Shizuo demanded with a sneer.

Cardin smirked and retorted.

"Here, take her back. I've had my fun! You freaks are made for each other."

The incapacitated bully, encased in orthopedic casts, sneered.

The onlookers were stunned by what happened next. Time seemed to crawl as Shizuo extended his hand, seizing Cardin by the leg cast.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

They saw Shizuo lifting Cardin in a rather comedic fashion.

"Heh, This is fun!"

The blonde Lione Faunus told Cardin.

"Put me down!"

Cardin screamed in fear and Shizuo consented to his demands.

The blonde Lione Faunus used Cardin as a club and swung him towards the other racist bullies in the table.

"Stop, you'll break my leg again!

"To be fair, I am putting you down, I'm just not letting you GOOOO!"

Shizuo shouted as he launched Cardin back and forth. He didn't stop, however, the roars of laughter that filled the room stopped as he continued to try to beat the xenophobia out of them. He did stop however before he killed them and stared down at the bloody mess of bullies with a shit-eating grin. He even ripped the hair of the guy with the stupid mohawk.

"Mister Heiwajima!"

Came the threatening sound of Glynda Goodwitch's voice. Right when he was rubbing his shoe sole on Cardin's face.
