Chapter 18: Chapter 18

"To the sky... We are going to the sky now." Merlin curled his lips. As the impact of the jet was offset by gravity, the car's speed slowly decreased, showing signs of slipping off the glass wall. However, the charging of the atomic engine was completed, and he pressed the button again!

"Boom!" Frank and Merlin leaned back, their backs pressed against the seats. The super-ignition erupted again, soaring into the sky and speeding towards the top of the building.

"Oh, thanks! Are these people playing tricks on me?" From the helicopter, Colin looked at the pink sports car driving vertically up the glass wall, his expression blank.

"Go after them! Shoot them down!" he ordered.

.......

Tony Stark had just attended a banquet and was hugging a hot and sexy singer, surrounded by bodyguards and preparing to leave in a car.

"Mr. Stark! Please stay!"

As he put his arm around the lady's waist and was about to get into the car, someone suddenly called out to him.

"I'm Christine, a reporter from Famous Magazine. Can I interview you for a few questions? I've been waiting for you for more than three hours."

The bodyguard, Happy, glanced at the reporter's appearance. She had blond wavy hair and was wearing a slim professional outfit. Her white shirt looked particularly striking, and her face exuded an intellectual beauty.

"Nice figure..." he whispered to Stark.

"Great?" Stark, who was about to get in the car, suddenly became interested and turned around.

Seeing Stark turn around, Christine also showed joy. "Thank you, Mr. Stark. This won't take long," she said, pulling out her notepad and recorder, ready to make the most of the opportunity.

Stark walked up to the reporter and glanced at her figure.

"It's really great."

"What?" The female reporter didn't hear clearly.

"You have a good figure." Stark repeated calmly.

"Really? Everyone says that?" Christine proudly puffed out her chest, and it suddenly beat twice, making people's blood boil.

"Okay, okay, what do you want to ask?" Stark's brows twitched and he quickly reached out his hand and asked.

When Christine heard this, she also stopped chatting and quickly took out the shooting equipment and pointed it at him.

"Mr. Stark, what do you think of the nicknames 'Merchant of Death' and 'Arms Criminal'?"

"Well... not bad, but I don't like criminals. I used the money to invest in the development of medical equipment and agricultural technology. I save countless people every year and save countless people from famine, and... Hey! Hey! What are you taking pictures of?"

Stark's expression changed as he noticed Christine's camera lens wandering towards the singer he had been hugging earlier. The singer, now somewhat embarrassed, tried to step out of the frame.

"Focus on me, not her," Stark added with a hint of irritation, trying to redirect the attention back to himself.

Just as Stark was about to engage further with the reporter, her camera slowly drifted away from him and pointed towards the sky.

"Oh, boss, look behind you!" Happy said, trying to get his attention.

Stark tilted his head in annoyance but then turned curiously, saying, "I want to see if there is anything more attractive than me."

When he turned around and looked up, he was stunned by what he saw. Taking off his glasses, he stared at the building with wide eyes, full of surprise.

"Oh! My God! Is there a magic show tonight?"

A police helicopter hovered over the building, its bright searchlights illuminating a pink sports car speeding up the glass wall, like a scene from a movie.

Everyone around them took out their phones, capturing the spectacle in amazement. Many thought it was a specially arranged magic show.

The crowd murmured in awe, with Stark standing there, completely captivated by the unbelievable sight.

"Is this for real?" he muttered, still trying to comprehend what he was seeing.

Meanwhile, high above, Frank and Merlin continued their ascent, unaware of the commotion they were causing below.

"There's a magic show? Why didn't I receive any notification? Who is this magician, and how did he get the police to cooperate?" Stark mused aloud, echoing the sentiments of the crowd below.

Despite the commotion, there was no widespread panic. The scene above seemed more like an elaborate performance than a real chase. However, the next moment made their hearts tremble with anxiety.

After three atomic engine injections, the super-fuel-powered vehicle carried Merlin and Frank to the top of the building. The police helicopter arrived alongside them, and officers began taking aim with their rifles from the helicopter's open doors.

"What should we do next?" Frank asked, his voice tense. Despite the crazy ascent, it seemed ineffective as the helicopter continued its relentless pursuit. At several hundred meters high, being shot down would be fatal.

Merlin did not speak but suddenly turned the steering wheel, causing the car to veer off course as if it were on a flat road.

"Click, click, click..." Rifle bullets whizzed past them and hit the glass the moment the car veered away.

"Bang, bang, bang..." The glass shattered on the spot, turning into a pile of fragments and falling down.

"You'll know soon!" Merlin looked at the end of the nearby building and pressed the atomic engine button again.

"Boom!" The super-burning car suddenly accelerated and rushed out, leaving the whizzing bullets far behind.

Soon, the burst of super combustion propelled them off the top of the building, soaring into the sky and floating in mid-air.

"The moon is quite round tonight." A huge full moon appeared beside them, like a massive moon disk close at hand, exuding a cool light.

Under the bright full moon, the super-burning vehicle that had flown off the top of the building seemed to slow down in time, spinning weightlessly.

The cold wind howled, hitting their faces like knives.

"Buzz buzz..." The roar of the helicopter was getting closer and closer, and they soon caught up with them.

"I hope you're not just doing this for fun..." Frank gritted his teeth as he looked at the huge full moon in the night sky. This night was more exciting than his whole life!

"Of course not, let's see what happens next." After enjoying the feeling of stagnation at high altitude, Merlin immediately controlled the aerodynamic device, adjusted their position, and made the super-burning car flip in mid-air.

The car, which originally had its back to the helicopter, gradually turned to face it.

Merlin and Frank could even see Colin's stern face in the helicopter.

A car, a helicopter... a ground vehicle, and an air vehicle. The confrontation in the night sky at this moment was indeed a bit fantastical.

The confrontation in the night sky at this moment felt almost fantastical.

"Beep beep beep..."

Frank, who was holding on to the edge of the car door, suddenly heard an electronic alarm. Having often served in the army, he immediately recognized the sound. It was an electronic lock-on warning from radar.

"Let's have some fireworks..." The next moment the Deadlock missile locked onto its target, Merlin's eyes narrowed as he pressed the button.

"Whoosh..." A missile carrying a white tail fin drew a bright line in the night sky like a smart elf, heading straight for the helicopter directly ahead.

Colin and the police officers in the helicopter suddenly looked horrified.

"Boom!"

A ball of fire exploded over Brooklyn, scattering parts like fireworks.

"Done!" After Merlin admired his masterpiece, he started the atomic engine again, changed direction, and gradually disappeared into the night sky.
