Chapter 17: Chapter-17

Soon, the policemen who regained their senses looked up and saw a pink-painted sports car floating like a fallen leaf among the buildings. As the car's body returned to its normal position, Frank was thrown into the passenger seat. The driver was a mysterious man in a black robe and a plague doctor mask.

"Remember to wear your seat belt. I won't care if you get thrown off," Merlin advised, his eyes filled with excitement.

Frank quickly secured his seat belt. "What are you doing?" he asked, puzzled by Merlin's attire.

"How does it look the new skin he Plague Doctor? Is it full of mystery?" Merlin replied.

Frank was speechless. Now he was sure that this guy was really into his fantasy world.

The car, painted in a vivid pink nude two-dimensional style, and its pilot's cosplay of a plague doctor mask and chuuni behavior, revealed a hint of merlin's personalityFrank, struggling to keep up with these developments, braced himself as the car, powered by the atomic energy engine, began its fall.

"Boom!" The engine ignited with a burst of blue-purple energy, turning the car into a speeding arrow, streaking above the traffic. Frank felt the intense push as Merlin turned the steering wheel, spinning the car like a top.

Frank: "!!!"

The super-burning act in the sky, like a pink spinning top, suddenly attracted the attention of pedestrians and people in cars.

"Oh! God, man, that was absolutely super hot!"

"Damn it! I must be hallucinating from thinking about love too much recently!"

"The pink one must be my favorite Princess Bubblegum paint job."

"You just like the color."

"What is that? Oh my god, is a car flying in the sky?"

"When did they develop flying cars? I'm stuck here!"

"Dad, dad, look, it's a speeding car!"

The firefighters, ready to continue cleaning up the wreckage, looked blankly at the pink phantom passing overhead.

For those who often get stuck in traffic jams, there was only envy in their eyes.

"Buzz buzz..." At this time, Colin reacted and immediately asked the helicopter pilot to follow him. The duck that had reached its mouth actually wanted to run away!

"Damn, there are accomplices! Hurry up and catch up."

"Bang!" Merlin drove the super fuel and landed on an empty street, then stepped on the accelerator and started speeding down the street.

"How do you feel?" he cheered and asked Frank next to him.

Frank didn't want to speak at all. It was as if he had been thrown into the washing machine just now, and his head was still a little dazed. His stomach was also churning.

"Buzz buzz..." Along with the sound of helicopter propellers, a huge beam of light enveloped them.

And the loud sirens were getting closer and closer. They had just escaped from the encirclement but were still far from evading the police's pursuit. Frank, suppressing his dizziness, squinted up at the helicopter hovering above.

"This can't continue like this. We have to deal with the helicopters in the sky," he said in a deep voice.

Air superiority was a major problem. Merlin knew this too. After turning right at a three-way intersection, he scanned the surroundings. While Brooklyn is densely populated and diverse, its central area has many commercial buildings that could provide some cover.

As they sped towards the commercial buildings in the central area, Merlin's eyes quickly locked onto the World Trade Center. The smooth glass exterior of the building sparked an idea.

"Sit tight!" Merlin shouted as he accelerated.

Frank's heart skipped a beat. He had realized Merlin was not only eccentric but also reckless. "What are you going to do?" Frank asked, grabbing the edge of the car door for stability.

Merlin remained silent, driving the super-fuel vehicle straight toward the World Trade Center. The building loomed closer, showing no signs of slowing down, creating a scene that seemed like a suicide mission.

He gritted his teeth, widened his eyes, and stared closely at the building that was getting closer and closer. Under the towering behemoth, the aura of death hanging above his head grew thicker and thicker. At this distance and speed, even slowing down and braking would not prevent a crash.

"Puff!" Just when Frank was about to accept his fate, a sudden sound of air came from under the car. Immediately after, a familiar feeling of weightlessness arose, and the surrounding scenery rapidly fell away. The car suddenly ejected and flew upwards.

Merlin stared intently at the approaching building, controlling the aerodynamic jets in front, raising the car's front, and making the chassis parallel to the glass wall. Under his control, the car stuck to the glass wall of the building like a leaf in the wind.

The moment the wheel touched the steel frame, he pressed the injection button on the steering wheel without hesitation.

"Boom!" The car turned into a pink arrow perpendicular to the ground, sticking to the glass wall of the commercial building and shooting straight into the sky as if driving on a road.

As the car's speed gradually slowed, Merlin's solemn expression softened. He looked at the glass road ahead and the night sky at the end—success!

Realizing this, he cheered with excitement. "Woohoo!!! Ahaha, did you see it? We did it!"

Frank, who looked tense, suddenly breathed a sigh of relief. Turning his head to look at the crazy-looking young man in the driver's seat, he decided this was the last time they would cooperate.

"The smog in NY City is too serious. Otherwise, it would be even more perfect if we could see the gorgeous starry sky," Merlin complained regretfully after recovering from his excitement.

"You still wanna see the stars"screamed frank
