Chapter 368: 359 terrestrial people
Bai Zhongqi felt that his understanding of the "new physics," which had only been established not long ago, was facing collapse again. When he first encountered the technology and knowledge of the Iridium Star, he had discovered that many things he learned on Earth were full of mistakes, and quantum signals, which were considered absolutely non-interferable, had now become something that could be obstructed and even deciphered.
Bai Zhongqi stared at Hu, who looked like a naive child. The Star Warrior master returned his gaze with an extremely sincere expression.
Next to him, Nan Ma said, "It shouldn't be our guests who did it; I didn't feel any use of Star Energy."
The agent for Entity Zero also nodded in agreement.
Bai Zhongqi then looked back at Taoran Star, the azure planet that looked so similar to Earth yet was filled with so many secrets.
"With no quantum signal transmission, our drones should automatically choose to break away and return to the mothership, but now I don't see anything coming out of Taoran Star's atmosphere," Bai Zhongqi posed a question.
Zero spoke seriously, "Then it's very likely that something on the planet destroyed them."
Now, a dense layer of clouds covered Taoran Star, blocking the optical detection instruments aboard the Yinglong Cruiser. Unwilling to be thwarted, Bai Zhongqi tried more methods to probe the atmospheric conditions of the planet but basically received no helpful feedback.
Hu smiled at everyone and said, "It looks like we have to go down and see for ourselves."
Bai Zhongqi was silent for two seconds before suddenly asking, "Did you know about this situation beforehand? That Taoran Star would block all communication."
Hu said, "I think it must be a coincidence."

Bai Zhongqi sharply pointed out, "A coincidence? Your ability is to decode and block quantum signals, and your mother star also obstructs our quantum signal transmission. This kind of coincidence lacks persuasive power."
Hu still wore a smile, appearing harmless, "Chancellor, although we haven't known each other long, I really feel that you are a good person. I'm just a poor person who was lost in space for a hundred years; you sort of saved me. Why would I plot against you? It would bring me no benefits."
Zero interjected, "Maybe you are deceiving us about something."
Hu shook his head, "What I said is all true."
Nan Ma casually scratched his bald nape and laughed, "Your Highness, it's fine. Mr. Hu and I will go down and take a look."
Bai Zhongqi immediately objected, "That's not appropriate."
Of course, it wasn't appropriate. Nan Ma was one of the strongest personal forces Bai Zhongqi could currently utilize. Zero, the Star Warrior master, was essentially in a semi-disabled state because she was basically with Bai Zhongqi all day, even standing outside the room while he slept.
Bai Zhongqi thought for a moment, then withdrew his own agent and said to Zero aboard the Sacred Falcon, "Since the quantum signal cannot be transmitted, your agent can't be used. Only my agent can."
Ling was quite surprised, "What's the difference between your Agent and mine, and why can it still be used?"
Bai Zhongqi smiled and said, "After all, I am the one who controls the Supreme Command."
Ling suddenly realized that the Supreme Command was not a quantum signal, this mysterious force was invisible and untraceable, and could naturally control all equipment made by Iridium Star. Naturally, the Agents were no exception.
While everyone was discussing, four people, or accurately, four Agents, entered the cabin.
Ling's eyes widened as he looked at these four fellows. Each of them resembled Bai Zhongqi by about sixty to seventy percent, but there were very subtle differences, and even larger differences in stature. The tallest one stood at two meters, with arms as thick as a person's waist, while the slimmest one looked like a male model on a runway.
Bai Zhongqi's original Agent walked to the middle of these four, and the five of them were clad in differently designed battle armors, the four holding various weapons, looking cool and impressive.
On board the Sacred Falcon, Ling, amazed, grabbed Bai Zhongqi, "Your Majesty, what is this, a boy band preparing to enter showbiz?"
Bai Zhongqi, ignoring her jest, said, "These are five Super Soldiers—Autochthonous Warriors—I've created using the Agent technology."
"Autochthonous Warriors? Aren't those the five magical warriors from Greek mythology?" Concerning Earth's myths and various legendary tales, Ling naturally had no time to read them, but she had access to a massive database for quick reference.
In Ancient Greece, there was a myth that the hero Cadmus from Boeotia, after killing a giant dragon—the son of the war god Ares—planted half of the dragon's teeth in the soil, which sprouted into warriors. These warriors were naturally belligerent and extremely good at fighting.
Bai Zhongqi, like a child showing off his favorite toys, introduced to Ling, "The five Autochthonous Warriors, I've set them with different abilities and weapons. Like this Agent I always use, I've placed a large number of nano-repair bots inside him. With sufficient food, he can quickly regenerate his body with great strength; the second Autochthonous Warrior has two beam guns installed in his body, creating light beams powerful enough to destroy the shields used by ordinary interstellar warplanes; the third Autochthonous Warrior I've equipped with powerful magnetic poles and a magnetic field filter, allowing him to control metal; the fourth Autochthonous Warrior uses wave weapons, emitting waves at different frequencies with varying effects and impedances to enemies; the fifth Autochthonous Warrior uses a heat source weapon that can accelerate the atomic movement of matter to generate a large amount of heat, causing structural damage to the enemy."
Ling commented with a smile, "Why do I feel like you've created five warriors with superpowers?"
The remark hit Bai Zhongqi's original intention, and he let out a dry laugh.
"Controlling the Autochthonous Warriors alone using the Supreme Command isn't as intuitive and smooth as directly controlling an Agent through immersion consciousness, but at its worst, it's somewhat similar to playing as a player controlling five 'heroes' in an old-era Earth game."
Ling couldn't help but laugh and said, "Isn't that just like an RTS game?"
Bai Zhongqi rubbed his hands together, "It's pretty much like that."
In the past, he had controlled warships as if playing a game; now, he was controlling Autochthonous Warriors in the same way.
The quantum signal not transmitted in Taoran Star turned the place into a testing ground for his Autochthonous Warriors. But he was more eager to find out why, for some reason, this place violated the physical laws known to the people of Iridium Star, where quantum could not become entangled. And what unspeakable secrets did that Star Warrior master, who had a similar ability, hold?
