FROZEN 3: Elsa and Jack Frost

Chapter 9: NO WHERE TO RUN

Kristoff crouched in front of Anna, keeping his face just inches from hers.

For a second, just for a second she thought she saw him hesitate, so she asked him another question.

"Was everything we shared together a lie?"

If anything he owed her that explanation.

But Kristoff didn't answer.

The only sort of response she got— if that could even be called an answer— was his jaw clenching together as he bore his eyes into hers.

Finally, his lips moved and he spoke, "I will not make the same mistake Hans did by imprisoning you."

Then he stood up completely, covering her in his shadow.

Anna's brows pinched together while she raised her head at an odd angle up to look at him.

She didn't understand were he was going with those words.

"What do you mean?"

He ignored her, nodding his head at Captain Lars.

"Take her to the execution block."

Pulling the heavy metal door open, the guards threw Olaf into the hot dungeon, making him flop and fall far of on the slabby floor near to the wall.

Olaf propped himself up, getting off the floor quickly and ran towards the dungeon doors but the guards closed it and lock it just before his little feet could get him to reach it.

One of them dip his hands into his baggy pocket, drawing out a ten- set key bunch and uses the biggest key to lock up the dungeon door.

"Sorry buddy," another guard mutters before they leave him there.

Tears started pooling in Olaf's round eyes as he held the metal bars with his two hands.

"Oh Anna," he says sadly.

He sniffs and the tears fall off his eyes, rolling down to his long carrot nose.

Bending his head, more liquid fall off his face, only it isn't his tears.

None of it was.

It was snow.

Olaf looked down at the melting piece of snow on the floor, touching his face as he felt the dungeon room begin to get hotter.

He looked about the blackened place, while his snow body dripped to the floor.

"So that's why it's called the hot dungeon."

He turned back to the bars and began pushing himself through the slit openings between the bars, trying to squeeze himself in and out.

But it was of no use, his body couldn't fit in.

He only chance he could possibly get would be to melt some more before he could fit through.

Grabbing the bars again he opened his mouth wide and screamed.

"ANNAAAAAAAAAA!!"

—-------------------

He stayed there for sometime, minutes maybe but they felt like hours.

The snow at the upper part of his lips has fully melted, so with nothing to hold on to, his carrot nose fell to the floor.

Sighing he bent to pick it up when a lightbulb turned on his his head.

"Of course! How could I have forgotten?"

In relief he sniffed… and smiled—- if that was possible, then stretched his hands high up and slotted his nose into the keyhole.

It only took some twists before he heard a click and the door opened.

Pushing it a bit more, the door creaked, so he stopped turned his head to the sides, listening.

Nothing.

He breathed out and slipped past the door.

"Hold on Anna, hold on."

Moving past, he peeped through several dungeon bars but he couldn't see Anna.

"Where could they have kept her?"

Suddenly, he heard the guards approaching from the right way so he turned, scurrying to run in the opposite direction.

… Only to see the shadows of more guards approaching, right in front of him.

He turned back but saw the other guards he ran from still coming closer.

Both his twig hands went up into his mouth while he trembled.

He was surrounded.
