Chapter 8: Chapter 8
You'd think that immortality meant that I'd go crazy and start running around recklessly, well you'd be wrong. I'm still me, just more…unkillable. I did notice a slight increase in my physical strength but it wasn't anything fantastic.
Ozpin has no idea how to kill Salem and Salem, considering the fact that she just wants to die, has no way of killing herself so the threat of death has been removed, for now at least.
Even with immortality acquired, I'm not one to leave resources untapped. Out of my pocket space I pulled out a fancy looking decanter I swiped during my robbery spree. It was of high enough quality that I was able to imbue it with an enormously extended liquid carrying capacity.
Standing in front of the fountain, I opened the decanter and activated the second ability, a sucking effect occurring as the liquid from the fountain was being pulled into the container.
I'm going to be here for a while.
++++
What am I going to use the water from the fountain for? I'll figure that out later but I just wanted to have it. Unsurprisingly enough, no matter how much I took from the fountain, the amount never reduced. I'd have to come back with a few more enchanted decanters but that was a job for later.
At the moment, I'm in one of the workshop areas in Beacon tower. Students have to maintain their weapons and other machines so it's only natural that they have a place for it.
In this instance, we're here for Yang's bike, the blonde here with me. "So, what do you think?"
"Not bad." I said, loud enough for her to hear.
She had an affronted look at my comment." Not bad? It's the best!"
Yeah no. I could do much better than that. I can build a bike from scratch while she is more experienced in modification than actual building.
"Like I said, not bad." I said with a challenging smirk. "When I'm done with this, you'll be begging to have my services."
The blonde in question was out of her usual jacket, a looser one now replacing it, though she still kept the shorts that did nothing to hide the shape of her ass. I'll assume that she doesn't want to dirty her usual one.
"You're pretty confident about that. Are you sure you can handle all this?" She teased, not so subtly pushing her chest out.
She had noticed my staring and she wasn't shy about her body. She wouldn't be wearing such an outfit if she was body shy.
"Let's find out." I said, popping open the toolbox that laid at the side. In all honesty, it was good work…if you just wanted a bike that moved slightly fast.
She had some spare parts for it so I'll just use some of those to work. Other than some enchantments on the tools to make them work better, the rest of my work was done manually.
Throughout the work process, Yang and I made small talk. It was mostly her doing the talking though since I had to keep up the amnesiac routine.
Still, that wasn't the main point of this exercise. Ever since my little ruse with Cinder, I've wondered when she'd pop up again so I've been wearing a ring enchanted with an aura of carnal desire. She's an easy target because she likes to delude herself that she can't be controlled by anyone.
I made it specifically for use on Cinder because let's be honest, who wouldn't want to tap that? Sure, there was the whole saying about not sticking your dick in crazy but it's fine as long as you're even crazier.
Yang being here in such revealing clothing was a stroke of luck for me to test how it would work before using it on Cinder. I've had the ring's effect turned on for the duration that we worked, slowly working it up from a low to higher output. If it wasn't for the added invisibility effect, there would be a few questions about the jewelry I'm accumulating.
"You doing okay there?" I asked, seeing her look so tense. I lost track of time but it felt like a few hours had passed and by now, we were the only ones in the workshop.
"Yeah I'm just a bit out of it. I'm fine." She said, not looking me in the eyes and wiping a bead of sweat from her neck. It was getting to her. She was okay at the beginning but as time went on and I slowly raised the intensity, the effects became visible. The subtle way she rubbed her thighs together and the hardened nipples that she tried to hide were the more obvious signs.
It gave me an estimate on how much of an effect it had on females but that was a rough estimate. Not every woman had the same threshold.
"Well the good news is that I'm done. That didn't take as long as I thought it would. All that's left is to take it on a test ride." I said, standing to my feet, my body not feeling sore in the slightest. A perk of my dip in the magical fountain.
I'd taken off the sustenance effect from my ring earlier. Salem doesn't eat and neither do I so having an item keeping me from needing to is very redundant.
"Y-yeah, cool. I'll need to go change first. I can't exactly go out looking like this." She said, using the conversation as an out to distract herself from what she was feeling.
"I thought you liked the attention." I teased, giving her curvy figure a slow glance which got a smirk from her.
"Is that a challenge?" She shot back, her smirk growing cocky at that. At the same time, I increased the intensity of the aura, watching a tiny shiver run through her.
"I'm afraid that will have to wait." A female voice said before I could respond, cutting through the atmosphere. Just when it was getting good.
Turning to the entrance, we see Glynda walking in, a small frown on her face. I didn't see her when I was in Ozpin's office the last time but now, all I see is a grade A cougar but I keep my eyes on her face as she stops in front of us.
"Professor Ozpin would like to see you in his office." She announced professionally before turning to Yang. "I suggest you take the time to work on the homework I gave the class. The one that is due tomorrow."
At each word, Yang paled, rubbing the back of her head in embarrassment. "O-of course, professor! See you later Corvus." She said, slipping away as fast as she could to get away from Glynda who turned back to me.
"Well then, we should be going." The blonde disciplinarian said, walking ahead and leading the way.
-[Yang]-
Getting back to her room, she was thankful that everyone else was out, rushing into the bathroom and locking the door behind her. She practically ripped the clothes off her back, tossing them away without care as her hand slithered to her moist folds.
"F-fuck..!" She cursed in a low tone, groaning in relief as she pushed a finger into her slick slit. She was no stranger to masturbation but it usually took a bit to get her going.
Despite what some people liked to believe, she wasn't easy. She wasn't a blushing virgin but she'd only had sex once and that was after she had a lot to drink during her time at Signal. She thanked her stars that her dad didn't find out otherwise she'd be dead.
The boy on the other hand thought he could go for a repeat session but after a particularly rough sparring class he got the message that it wouldn't be happening.
Corvus was good looking, that much was obvious but looks weren't enough to get her hot and bothered…usually. Still, as she pistoned her finger into her pussy, quiet moans leaking from her mouth, she couldn't deny the fact that their time in the workshop got her horny. His interest in her only slightly heightened it.
Had Glynda not walked in she didn't know what she would have done. As her body shuddered and shook with her climax, she decided that she didn't want to think about it. She'd get over it soon enough.
-[Corvus]-
I knew I'd be meeting Ozpin again, it was just a matter of when and with Ironwood in Vale, it was only a matter of time before he too wanted a piece of me.
"Ah good, you're here. I trust Beacon has been treating you well." Ozpin said in a questioning manner.
"It's been alright I guess. Nothing too exciting and I'm content with that." I said, turning my attention to the stern looking man in white who walked up to me.
"Corvus, this is General Ironwood." Ozpin introduced as the man held his hand out for me to shake, which I did.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I'd have dressed a bit better if I knew I'd be meeting you today." Glynda didn't exactly allow me to go back to my room to change out of the simple black shirt and pants I'd been in.
"Nonsense, you've done Remnant a great service. We are very thankful for that." Ironwood said, waving off my 'concerns'. "Ozpin has made me aware of your memory dilemma. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find anything in either Vale's or Atlas' database about you."
I'd be surprised if they actually found something. "Oh I guess I kind of saw that coming." I said with false disappointment. "Then why am I here?"
Ozpin and Ironwood shared a look for a moment before they turned back to me. "We were hoping you could shed more light on your time in the mountain." Ironwood said, taking the lead.
"No offense but I already told Ozpin all there was to hear." I replied with a raised brow.
"Except for how you actually defeated the Grimm." The man pressed.
"James." Ozpin warned while Glynda watched in silence with narrowed eyes.
"Not only did he exterminate the Grimm but also a vast majority of the others in the area. There are a number of Grimm spread around the world just as powerful as this one." The general argued before turning back to me. "We could finally deal a major blow to the Grimm and even reclaim land lost to them."
I took a moment to observe the room before I decided how I wanted to play this.
"A blow to the Grimm, or a blow against Salem." I said, the casual namedrop immediately having them on their guard. At some point, Glynda had gotten her riding crop out. "Yeah my memory's been taking its sweet time coming back but I can still put the pieces of what I have together."
Looking around the room, Ozpin's eyes were narrowed cautiously as was Ironwood's and Glynda's but they didn't act yet.
"I still don't remember what I was doing on that mountain but I do know of Salem and her being the master of the Grimm even though I don't know how. I know of you, Ozpin, who relentlessly fights to stop her reign of terror." I continued, making use of the momentum I'd gathered. "Trust me when I say that the less you know of my semblance, the better."
"And why should we trust you?" Ironwood finally said, breaking their self imposed silence.
"That's simple really." My gaze turned to Ozpin meaningfully. "I know how to kill Salem."
The way his eyes widened behind his spectacles was very fun to watch. But it was true, Salem was a laughably easy person to deal with when you have the right tools. Ironwood and Glynda may not be aware of her immortal status but still, having a solution to Salem was still shocking to them all the same.
"If you really are on our side then why all this secrecy?" Glynda asked, causing me to snort.
"I don't see you telling the students about Salem." I shot back. "Certain things become less useful the more they're known. Forgive me if I don't completely trust all of you with the knowledge of my semblance."
"So, what are you proposing? You could have kept this quiet instead of deciding to reveal it at this time." There was a lick of accusation in Ozpin's tone but that's to be expected.
"It would be distracting to have both of us at odds while dealing with our mutual problem at the same time. While I have no problem working with you, I won't allow myself to be used by anyone as a tool." I explain, subtly glancing to Ironwood who narrowed his eyes at that. As an object appeared in my palm from my pocket space, I ignored their reaction to it. "As a sign of good faith."
Tossing it to Ozpin who deftly caught the metal orb, his eyes widening immediately.
-[Ozpin]-
For the first time in decades, he could say that he was caught off guard by someone other than Salem. The fact that Corvus knew about Salem was disturbing on its own. More so because he had no idea how he knew.
He knew about Salem and from the look he gave him, he definitely knew about her immortality. Yet, he was confident in being able to kill her. He'd yet to decide if the boy was just overestimating what he could do or if it was actually possible. The lamp said that he couldn't destroy Salem so he'd resorted to containing what she did and keeping her at bay.
Now the possibility of her being killable was on the table.
There was the thought that he was a spy from Salem, after all it wouldn't be the first time he was betrayed, but there were a few things that disputed that, the main thing being the metal orb that was now in his hands. Salem would never want him to have something like this.
The orb, somehow, was generating magic. He couldn't feel it until he was touching it but it was real. His reserve of magic dwindled with each reincarnation. His creation of the maidens and granting Qrow and Raven transformation abilities further dwindled it.
The magic from the orb was slowly filtering into his system, replenishing those reserves. The speed wasn't great but the fact that it was even doing that at all was astounding.
The circle of people he'd told about his dwindling magic was very small so how did he know? Was Corvus perhaps someone sent by the brother gods to aid him? Knowledge he wasn't supposed to have and a way to kill Salem after many centuries… The more he thought about it, the more it began to make sense.
Finally, he would be able to complete his mission and then maybe find rest.
