Flame and Crimson: OC x Ruby (DBXV x RWBY)

Hey guys, Rosesaiyan2 here. I'm back with another chapter! Last chapter was abit on the shorter side, but that was mainly to add some foundation to Odyn x Ruby, our story's main pairing. I'll be doing shorter chapters in the future in between events to give more substance/foundation to each of the pairings featured in this story: Roy x Yang, Baron x Flare, Hailfire x Spoiler, Khanna x Mercury, Sybryh x Tarro, Daikon x Weiss, Jaune x Pyrrha/Spoiler.

Since this story is trending towards depicting the animosity between Elves and Humans, the flow of the story will be different as there's a dynamic that needs to be explained first. I will do my best to have it make sense to you readers before I go forward with this. That said, Volume 1 is more so establishing the friendship between Odyn and Ruby, it's a little early for them to be having feelings for each other... at least mutually.

Enough of my blabbering though, onto the story!

Opening- Rising Hope (Irregular at Magic Highschool)

A/N: This opening just with the cast of this story lol.

It's a sunny afternoon and Team Rwby, along with OHRF & KDBNB are seen walking down the streets of Vale. Truthfully Odyn didn't even know why he was here right now, his cousin (Khanna) had practically barged into his team's dorm room and dragged him out. She never even told him where she was dragging him off to.

His teammates, knowing how Khanna was followed to ensure their leader didn't get into any trouble. Which brought them to their current situation.

Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloons are proudly on display, and Team RWBY is strolling through it all with an awed Weiss Schnee in the front. A sign is being put up by the elderly Shopkeep that reads in bright red letters "WELCOME TO VALE!" for all the foreign newcomers from their respective kingdoms of Remnant.

While walking, Weiss raises her arms in excitement. She's at the head of the group of teens that were walking behind her.

"The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!",Weiss said in excitement.

Ruby made a face at this, she'd never seen Weiss smile this much. It was a little unnerving to her.

"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss, it's kinda weirding me out.," Ruby said.

"😅 You're... not the only one Ruby. This really isn't like you Weiss, it's kinda weird seeing you smile so much.," Odyn said smiling while a bead of sweat rolled down the back of his head.

Weiss made a face at this comment, but then continued as she turned towards the others.

"How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!", Weiss said as the group continued to walk.

Daikon smirked at this.

"😏 You really like laying it on thick, don't you princess?," Daikon asked smirking.

"💢 (turns to Daikon) Hush, you! No one asked for your opinion.," Weiss said annoyed.

Daikon just smirked again and purposely addressed her the same way he always had.

"Whatever you say, princess.," He said mock bowing.

Weiss just turned away annoyed as the others felt beads of sweat roll down the back of the heads at this.

"Should've expected that 😅," Everyone said internally.

The group then stops near the docks as foghorns from boats are then heard blaring.

"Maybe you can enlighten us then Weiss, but why are we spending our Friday afternoon here at the docks again?," Roy asked.

Yang gave him a look before Roy shrugged.

"What? Someone had to ask that.," Roy said shrugging.

Yang gave him another look that said "I know but you said what I was going to say".

Roy sighed and looked at Yang again.

"Look Yang, if it makes you feel better I'll make it up to you. Anything you want.," Roy told her.

Yang smirked as she eyed him up and down before practically pressing herself up against him, making the dark elf rather uncomfortable.

"😏 hmm? Anything I want you say?," Yang said as she was now dangerously close to his face.

Roy began sweating nervously, as he was not at all used to this type of female attention despite having known Yang for a little while now.

"I uh... just meant maybe g-going on a small excursion or something like that.," Roy said involuntarily blushing due to the blonde's proximity to him.

Yang snorted and laughed as she responded to him.

"Relax, Roy. I'm just kidding, you're way to easy to tease.," Yang said chuckling.

Weiss cleared her throat as she spoke again, while Khanna and the others gave Roy a look.

"Yang, stop teasing my cousin. You can flirt all you want with him later. Just.. please tone it down for now.," Khanna said.

Yang slightly pouted at this, but chose not to show her disappointment.

"Sure thing, Khanna. (Nervously laughs), " Yang replied.

Ruby covers her nose as she picks up the smell of the docks.

"Ugh! They smell like fish!," Ruby said covering her nose in disgust.

"Well, we are at the docks Ruby. It's supposed to smell like that. It smells like the sea, I think.," Odyn reminded her.

Weiss continued.

"I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!," Weiss proudly stated.

A loud snort is heard as the group then looks to Daikon who is chuckling.

"I think what the princess ASAP means is that she wants to spy on the competition so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament. Ain't that right, princess?," Daikon said.

Weiss takes offense to this as evident by her response.

"Wh-wha‽ You can't prove that! Don't listen to that imbecile!," Weiss said offended.

"😏Oh really? You sure about that, miss icicle princess?," Daikon teased.

"💢 Why you little-!," Weiss said as a line of electricity formed between them as they glared at each other.

"😅 Are they always like this?," Beat asked.

"🤷‍♂️Yup, welcome to the club guys...," Roy replied.

Khanna and her team couldn't help but to sweatdrop at this as no words were said from them after.

Ruby gained their attention by pointing out something however.

"Whoa.", Ruby said as she turns her head to the right.

The other teens then observe the shattered store window down the street with the door open and caution tape surrounding the door. Vale police were there along with detectives taking down notes in front of the crime scene.

"Excuse me, can you tell us what happened here?," Ruby asked.

"Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle.," Detective 1 said before walking over to his partner.

"That's terrible.," Yang said sighing sadly.

"They left all of the money again.," Detective 2 said.

Ruby turns her head as she hears this.

"Huh?," Ruby asked.

"Yeah, just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?", Detective 1 said.

"I don't know, maybe an army?," Detective 2 shrugged.

"You thinking the white fang is responsible for this?," Detective 1 replied.

"Yeah... I'm thinking we don't get paid enough for this.," Detective 2 replied.

"Will this be a problem, sirs?," Hailfire asked.

Both Detectives eyed the girl for moment and then responded.

"No, at least we don't believe so. We'll figure it out eventually.," Detective 1 said.

"Thank you sir.," Hailfire said.

For some reason the police officers gained smug looks as their attitude suddenly changed towards the group.

"Yeah, whatever. Why don't you leave it to the pros, freak? You're not needed here.," Officer 1 said smugly.

Ruby noticed this and she didn't like where this was going.

"Hey! Knock it off! Hail never did anything to you guys, so leave my friend alone!," Ruby said angered.

"Huh? You standing up for this waste of space with the pointed ears?," Officer 2 asked.

"These guys aren't human or faunus, so why should we leave them be? They can't understand us.," Officer 1 said.

"That doesn't mean you can treat them however you please, they're people too!," Ruby said mad.

"You should get away from freaks like this one. They may contaminate you... oh wait, they have already.," Officer 2 said.

"You can't just judge someone based on their physical differences, that's lazy!," Ruby snapped back.

The officer obviously had enough and went to strike Ruby, only for his wrist.to be caught by Odyn.

"💢 I wouldn't do that if I were you, human. It looked an awful lot like you were about to hit my friend for no reason. Can't have that, can we?," Odyn said through gritted teeth.

The officers felt Odyn's power swelling up around him and became as white as a sheet. They realized they got carried away and backed off.

"Ruby, everyone, let's get out of here. The air has been soured here by this filth.," Odyn said with his bangs shadowing his eyes.

The others just silently followed as the Elves in the group had to remain calm to not scare their friends.

A few minutes later...

Once the group was far enough away from the docks, Odyn and his team turned towards team Rwby and the other teens gathered there.

"Ruby, Blake, Weiss, Yang, Beat, Note, Daikon, and you too Flare... I'm sorry you had to witness such an ugly side of us just then. Please forgive us.," Odyn said as he and Hailfire bowed in apology.

"It's fine, but what was that?," Yang replied.

"I'm curious as well. What even was that about?," Weiss asked.

"Yeah. It was like their attitude completely changed once they saw Hailfire and Odyn.," Blake observed.

"We'll explain soon. But for now, let's just focus on something else.," Hailfire said.

Ruby knew what that was about, but she didn't want to alert the others that she knew just then. She'd wait until it was just them, she would explain it then.

"The white fang huh? What an awful bunch of degenerates!," Weiss said as she crossed her arms and huffed while turning away with her nose in the air.

"What's your problem?," Blake asked.

"My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane.",Weiss replied.

"The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths. They're just a collection of misguided faunus.,"Blake argued.

"Misguided? They want to wipe Humanity off the face of Remnant!", Weiss said.

Blake was getting angry as she responded to Weiss's claim.

"So then they're very misguided. Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale!",Blake said angrily.

"Weiss, you need to calm down before you say something rash.," Khanna tried warning her.

"Hmm... Blake's got a point. Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him‽,"Ruby suggested.

"That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum. Those faunusonly know how to lie, cheat, and steal.,"Weiss said.

"T-that's not necessarily true.," Yang said.

"Weiss, you need to calm down... you're going too far.," Khanna tried warning the heiress.

Before the situation escalates further, they hear another voice.

"Hey, stop that Faunus!," A sailor said.

As the teens overhear the cry for help and rush over to investigate, a Faunus with a golden monkey tail named Sun Wukong is seen running down the length of the boat and leaping on to the edge as the two sailors are about to apprehend him.

"Thanks for the ride, guys! Haha!," Sun said laughing as he flees from them.

"You no-good stowaway!", Sailor 2 shouted.

"Now that's hurtful, I'm a great stowaway! A no-good stowaway would've been caught!," Sun says as he uses his tail to hang on a lamppost while peeling a banana.

Before he can take a bite though, one of the Detectives throws a small pebble at him to gain his attention.

"Hey! Get down from there this instant!"Detective 1 said.

Sun drops the banana peel on the detective's face, who growls in return. The monkey-like Faunus twirls up to crouch on the lamppost, laughs in amusement, and proceeds to leap off and run away from the detectives. As he runs past Team RWBY, he winks at an astonished Blake in slow motion before time speeds up again and he continues to be chased by the officers.

Yang watches as their apparent target gets further and further away before speaking up.

"Well... Weiss you said you wanted to see the competition, and there it goes...," Yang said.

"Quick! We have to observe him! Don't just stand there, come on!," Weiss saidholding up a finger as the teens followed her.

Blake stood there, momentarily lost in thought before going after her friends. As they tried following the faunus teen, they round the corner and Weiss bumps into someone. As a result, she trips. The heiress looks up only to see Sun jump on top of a building and vanish from their sight line.

"No, he got away!," Weiss said slightly pouting.

"Not to interrupt you or anything...,"Hailfire started.

"Uhh...Weiss?," Yang said pointing at the person beneath the heiress.

"What?,"Weiss asks.

"You kinda... are on top of someone there.,"Khanna said finishing Yang's thought.

Weiss looks down and finally realizes that she fell onto a girl who was smiling.

This startles her as she quickly get up and onto her feet again.

"Sal-u-ta-tions!",the odd girl greeted.

The Elves raised curious eyebrows at this response, not sure what to make of it.

"U-Um... Hello.,"Ruby greeted.

"Are you okay?," Yang asked.

"I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking.",the girl said still smiling and laying on the ground.

The teens look at each other bewildered before Yang speaks up to break the awkward silence.

"Uh... do you want to get up?," Yang asked.

The strange girl thinks about it for a moment and then responds.

"Yes!," The girl said.

She then leaps up onto her feet, causing the teens to step back a little as they continue to stare at her.

"My name is Penny! It's a pleasure to meet you!", The girl now known as Penny said.

"Uh... hi. I'm Khanna Andross.," Khanna said awkwardly greeting the girl.

"Baron Caldern.," Baron said.

"Hailfire Caldern.," Hailfire said.

"Daikon.," The saiyan said.

"Roy Albanar.," Roy said.

"Flare Kitsune.," Flare said.

Khanna then introduced the other teens.

"These two are Note and Beat. (The two saiyans nod) The blue haired one is my cousin, Odyn Albanar, and these four are Ruby Rose, Weiss Shcnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long.," Khanna said.

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you!," Penny said.

"You already said that.," Weiss said.

Penny just smiled again upon realizing Weiss had a point.

"So I did!," Penny said briefly pausing before smiling at the group again.

"Well, we're sorry for running into you.," Weiss said as the group turned and walked away.

"Take care, Friend!," Ruby said waving her arm as the teens started to walk away.

Once the group is far enough away from a surprised Penny, Yang finally speaks up again.

"Well she was... weird.," Yang said.

"Oh, I don't know. I thought she was... unique, quirky in a way.," Khanna said shrugging.

"😅 uh.. riiiggghhht...," Yang said sweatdropping at the flame eyed girl's response.

Weiss looked to her right as she began to search for the missing faunus they were previously chasing.

"Alright, now where did that faunus riff-raff run off to?," Weiss asked aloud.

Suddenly out of nowhere, Penny appeared right in front of Weiss.

"What did you call me?," The green eyed girl asked.

Weiss and the other teens were caught off guard as Yang looked apologetic. The Elves were also surprised, but for a different reason. They were trying to figure out how they couldn't even sense Penny's presence just then, it was baffling to think she could have snuck up on them without being detected.

"Oh I'm sorry, I definitely didn't think you heard us just then!," Yang said apologetically.

"No, not you.," Penny said as she walks through the group of teens to stop in front of Ruby.

"You!," Penny said referring to Ruby.

Ruby looks around frantically before pointing to herself.

"Who, me?," Ruby asked.

Penny nods and then continues.

"You called me 'friend'! Am I really your friend?", Penny asks.

Ruby looks to her teammates, who are signaling for her to say no. Meanwhile the Elves and Saiyans are signaling for her to say yes.

"Y-Yeah, sure! Why not?," Ruby says.

Ruby's teammates comically fall over while the other teens have to hold themselves back from busting a gut and laughing at this. They were seen snickering, as it was just too bizarre of a situation to keep a straight face in. Penny is overjoyed and laughs.

"Sen-sational! We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys! Like.. (looks at Odyn who happens to be next to Ruby at the moment) Tall, strong, and handsome over here (motions to Odyn)!," Penny says.

Ruby blushes in embarrassment as she realizes what Penny is suggesting.

"Wha- No No no no no no! I- It's not like that between Odyn and me, I swear!," Ruby said her face flushed a deep scarlet.

"😏 interesting reaction there, eh Rubes? I don't think she's trying to steal your man, she just wants to talk about guys like him.," Yang said with a mischievous smirk on her face.

"Y-Yang! It's not like that!," Ruby said embarrassed and blushing.

Hailfire raised an eyebrow at this before smiling as she realized what was happening.

"Ah... I see. So Ruby has romantic feelings for Lord Odyn. But it appears she either hasn't realized that fact yet, or if she has... she's too embarrassed to admit it.," Hailfire thought to herself.

Shaking her head, Ruby refocused and asked Weiss something she'd been curious about for awhile.

"Is this what it was like when you met me?",Ruby asked.

Weiss shook her head.

"No - she seems far more coordinated.",Weiss answered.

"Right, Penny was it?," Yang asked before continuing.

"What are you doing here in Vale?," Yang asked.

"I'm here to fight in the tournament.",Penny Replied.

"You're here to fight in the tournament?," Weiss asked.

"Yup. I'm combat ready!," Penny replied with a nod of her head.

"Forgive me, but you hardly look the part.",Weiss said skeptical.

"Yeah.. I don't wanna hear that from the girl wearing a dress to a fight.," Khanna said.

Weiss crossed her arms offended.

"It's a combat skirt, if you must know!," Weiss said offended.

Ruby, who also wears a skirt speeds over to Weiss's side and low fives her.

"Yeah!," Ruby says low fiving the heiress before speeding back to her position.

Realization then hits as Weiss suddenly grabs Penny by the shoulders.

"Wait a minute. If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed... rapscallion?", Weiss asked.

Penny raised her eyebrows in confusion at this, confused by what Weiss was referring to.

"The who?," Penny asked confused.

Weiss then holds up a poorly drawn picture of the faunus they'd been chasing.

"The filthy Faunus from the boat!," Weiss said.

This drew the ire of some teens within the group, not that Weiss noticed.

"Weiss!," Khanna said exasperated.

Weiss turns and looks towards the black haired Elf, unsure why she was angry.

"What? I'm just stating facts.," She said ignorant.

"Shnee, you should rephrase your question. It could be taken the wrong way.," Baron said speaking up.

"Why do you keep saying that?!," Blake asked obviously bothered by how Weiss talked about the faunus teen in question.

"Huh?",Weiss asked turning her attention to Blake now.

"Stop calling him a rapscallion! Stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!", Blake said walking over to Weiss angry.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to stop referring to the trash can as a trash can? Or this lamppost as a lamppost?", Weiss said as she motioned to objects around her.

"Stop it!", Blake said angered.

"Stop what? He clearly broke the law. Give him time; he'll probably join up with those other Faunus in the White Fang!", Weiss replied.

"You're just an ignorant little brat, for saying that!," Blake said as she angrily walked away.

"How dare you talk to me like that! I am your teammate!", Weiss snapped back.

The other teens were a little uncomfortable watching this and began to back away.

"You are a judgmental little girl.", Blake said angry.

"What in the world makes you say that?",Weiss asked offended.

"The mere fact that you would sort that Faunus boy with a terrorist group solely based on his species makes you just as much of a scoundrel as you believe him to be!",Blake snapped back at Weiss.

Khanna looked to Odyn and his team as she whispered to her cousin.

"I think... we're gonna go, Odyn. Good luck with ... that., " Khanna said.

Truthfully, he understood and nodded as Khanna and her team left the scene.

Yang then slid up to Ruby and the other teens watching the dispute between Weiss and Blake.

"I.. think we should go now..," Yang said awkwardly.

"Where are we going?",Penny said popping up behind Ruby and the others smiling.

"So you admit it! The White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!",Weiss argued.

"That's not what I meant, and you know it!",Blake said.

Odyn and his team looked uncomfortable, but he had to stay to offer Ruby support. The dark elf knew this tension was going to weigh heavy on the silver eyed girl, so he'd offer whatever help he could.

"Hailfire. Flare.,"Odyn addressed the two females of his team.

"Y-yes, C-Captain?," Flare nervously asked.

"You needed something my Lord- I mean , ahem! Odyn?," Hailfire replied.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah.. this may take awhile to resolve, so you two can head back if you want.," Odyn told them.

"While I thank you for the concern, Odyn... that won't do at all. We are your teammates, are we not? We will go where you go.," Hailfire said.

"I a-agree with Hail, Odyn.," Flare said.

Odyn sighed and then smiled as he chuckled at their response. He then smiled at them.

"Thanks, you two. And you're right.," Odyn told said in response.

Odyn and his team then stayed with team Rwby as they continue to observe the argument between Blake and Weiss as the scene then shifts from the afternoon at the docks to now night time in their dorm room.

Nighttime: Team Rwby's dorm room

Blake and Weiss are continuing to argue as Ruby, Yang, Odyn, Roy, Hailfire, & Flare continue to observe.

"I don't understand why this is causing such a problem!", Weiss said angry.

"That is the problem!",Blake snapped back at Weiss.

"You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!",Weiss said angered as she got up from her bed.

"There's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!",Blake snapped also getting up on her feet.

"People like me?",Weiss asked offended.

"You're discriminatory!",Blake angrily said.

"I'm a victim!",Weiss said angered.

The two girls stare at each other in silence. Weiss leans in closer, leering at Blake as she spoke.

"You want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus?," Weiss started as she now leans against a bookshelf by the window.

" It's because they've been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear; board members executed; an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood.," Weiss explained as she banged her fist on the bookshelf.

"Weiss, I-",Ruby starts to say as she goes over to comfort her friend.

"No!",Weiss says as she turns away and walks back towards Blake.

"You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!",Weiss said angered.

Blake balled her hands into fists at this. She couldn't take it anymore and snapped as she then said something she would later regret.

"Well maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!",Blake said angry.

Silence drops down on the scene again. A surprised Weiss backs away slowly, and Blake realizes her mistake as she looks around at her teammates.

"🤦‍♂️Hoo boy.... this isn't good.," Odyn said palming his forehead.

"I... I...",Blake says with wide eyes.

She seems to have realized her mistake and quickly dashes out of the room.

"Blake, wait! Come back!",Ruby says calling after her.

Ruby runs out into the hall to try and catch Blake, but is too late as the cat faunus has already disappeared. Ruby frowns at this and realizes that she was too late to stop her friend from running as she hangs her head. Odyn walks up beside her and puts his hand on her shoulder to comfort her, he knew this was hard for the girl.

"Don't worry Ruby, we'll find her. Blake may just... need some time to herself right now. We'll search for her in the morning, okay?," Odyn said encouraging the silver eyed girl.

"Yeah... you're right, Odyn. And..," She trails of before continuing.

Ruby then hugs Odyn as she continues to talk.

"Ruby?," Odyn asked confused about the gesture.

"Thanks for that.," Ruby says finishing her thought as she hugs him.

Odyn then smiles at the girl as he hugs her back before patting her head, an action she'd grown accustomed to during their friendship.

"Sure, Ruby. Anytime. Like I said, I'll always have your back when you need me.," Odyn replied.

Weiss was seen looking down after Blake dashed out of the room, like she knew she'd made a mistake with her words. Yang sat down as Roy, Hailfire, and Flare all joined her on the floor.

Meanwhile outside....

Blake runs outside and arrives at a statue of an armored man with a sword and a hooded woman wielding an axe on an outcropping, staring at the Beowolf under the stone heroes in particular.

She closes her eyes and slowly lifts her arms up to her bow and pulls the string to release the bow from her hair. She wipes away a tear away as the camera pulls up to reveal her Faunus ears. On the verge of crying, she becomes startled when she hears a voice above her.

"I knew you would look better without the bow.",Sun said.

It was revealed to be the selfsame faunus that team Rwby and their friends were chasing earlier in the day.

Blake turns around looks up towards the voice.

Timeskip: Morning- the next day.

Ruby wakes up from her beauty sleep and yawns. She looks over at Blake's empty bunk and groans sadly, reminded of the events that lead to her teammate running from the night before.

As she dwells on this, she gets a message on her scroll. Raising an eyebrow, she's curious to see who could be messaging her first thing in the morning.

"Who could that be?," Ruby wondered aloud to herself.

Getting out of bed, she sauntered over to her dresser and picks up her scroll. She was still in her pajamas as it was still early on a Saturday morning. Her hair was a bit of a mess, but her curiosity took over as she wanted to see who was texting her so early in the morning.

Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she looked to see who the sender of the message was.

"Morning Ruby. How are you feeling? I know last night was a bit rough on you and Yang seeing two of your friends argue like that."

Reading the text, she smiled and had a small hint of a blush upon realizing who the sender was. She realized that the sender was Odyn and that he was just checking on her like any good friend would. It was sweet of him to check and see if she was alright, that was one of the things she most appreciated about the dark elf as she had gotten to know him over this first year at Beacon.

She then texted him back to reassure him of her well being.

"I am okay I guess.. better now that I'm talking to you. Thank you for checking on me, Odyn. I'm not going to lie I am still sad about Blake running away, just wish I could've done something to convince her not to run. And... Send.," Ruby said to herself.

Another ping alerted her to a response from Odyn.

"Do you want to go looking for her together? My teammates and I would be more than happy to help you guys.", Odyn said through the text.

Ruby smiled again as she responded.

"Of course. That.. would be appreciated, Odyn.," Ruby said typing.

"Ok. Why don't we meet up in Vale then at around 11?" (Odyn)

"Sure! Sounds like a plan, I'll grab Yang and Weiss! Think you could message Khanna and her team?" (Ruby)

"I can certainly try, although I think they may be busy with professor Arkham today..." (Odyn)

"Oh, I see.. well if we need their help be sure to at least message them, okay?" (Ruby)

"*chuckles* You got it, Ruby" (Odyn)

Ruby then smiled as she put down the scroll, she was glad Odyn and his team were helping them. She thought nothing of it at the time, but this would fuel Yang's teasing of Ruby's apparent growing "crush" on Odyn.

She realized that she needed to get ready for the day, Ruby walked into the bathroom and closed the door behind her as she prepared to take a shower and get dressed.

Vale- Afternoon

The scene then shifts to the streets of Vale as Yang & Weiss are seen waiting on Ruby. The aforementioned girl is seen a moment later, running up to them.

"What gives, Rubes? You're never late.," Yang said curious.

Ruby rubbed the back of her head nervously laughing.

"Heh heh heh, sorry Yang... kinda overslept.," Ruby said.

As soon as she said this, footsteps were heard behind them. Turning around, Ruby's face brightened into a smile as she recognized the people behind them.

"Hey, Odyn! Over here!," Ruby said laughing and waving.

Weiss raised an eyebrow at this, while Yang had a mischievous smirk on her face upon seeing the reaction Ruby had towards Odyn.

"😏 So what's the story there, Rubes?," Yang asked with a devilish smirk on her face.

"Oh that. Odyn said him and his team could help us look for Blake.," Ruby said.

"😏 You sure that's all Rubes? Certain you don't want to just spend time with your boyfriend here?," Yang said teasing her.

Ruby felt her face become red as she became angry with Yang.

"😳Y-Yang! It's not like that! And this is hardly the time for that anyways.," Ruby said blushing.

Odyn then spoke up.

"I talked to your sister this morning, Yang. I simply offered to help in your team's search for Blake. My team and I are glad to help with that of course. Besides, the more people you have, the better your chances are of finding her right?," Odyn said.

Yang couldn't argue with that. He had a point.

The group of teens then started walking as they began to search the streets of Vale for their missing faunus friend.

"She's been gone all weekend...", Ruby said worried.

"Blake's a big girl, I'm sure she can handle herself!",Weiss said.

"Weiss, come on. She's one of our teammates.",Yang admonished.

"Is she? We all heard what she said!",Weiss argued.

"Weiss... we talked about this.," Hailfire said slightly glaring at the heiress.

"Maybe she is, maybe she isn't. Either way, she's missing, and we need to find her!",Yang said.

"A member of the White Fang! Right underneath our noses!",Weiss said.

Hailfire sighed and walked up next to the heiress.

"Weiss... we need to talk about this twisted perception of faunus you seem to have.," Hailfire said.

Weiss tried to say something, but the glare Hailfire gave her quickly shut her up and left no room for argument.

"I just hope she's okay...",Ruby said worried.

The girl then felt a hand pat her head.

"I'm sure she's fine. Don't worry, we'll find her Ruby.," Odyn said encouraging the silver eyed girl.

Ruby smiled at him and lightly blushed at his words, Odyn was right. They would find Blake.

With Blake...

Elsewhere, Blake is sipping a cup of tea and sighing. She looks up at Sun sitting across from her, who holds his drink with his tail as his hand props his head up. He takes a sip when Blake puts her cup down.

"So, you want to know more about me...",Blake said as she set her cup of tea down and stared intently at Sun.

The screen then fades to black.

The screen then fades back to where Sun and Blake were seen talking and drinking tea at a small Cafe in the middle of downtown Vale.

""Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you've given me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" ,Sun says before briefly pausing due to the hard look Blake gave him.

"Yeah, like that one.," He said finishing his thought.

Blake then rolls her eyes before looking back at him sadly and sighing.

"Sun... Are you familiar with the White Fang?",Blake began.

"Yeah, course I know them. I don't think there's a soul around who hasn't heard of them. Stupid "holier than thou" jerks that use force so they can get whatever they want. Real creeps if you ask me!," Sun said.

Blake sips her tea again while listening before setting her cup down and spinning her drink as she prepares to reveal her big secret. Sighing, she knew there was no turning back now.

"No use in delaying it anymore, he'd find out eventually.", she thought.

"I was once a member of the White Fang.",Blake revealed.

The sudden revelation causes Sun to go cross eyed and choke on his drink making him put it down. He then wipes his mouth and puts his hand up as he's processing the information.

"Wait a minute, you were a member of the White Fang?!",Sun asked shocked.

Blake nodded her head and then proceeded to explain.

"That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it...",Blake says as she begins her explanation.

As he begins to explain, the scene then shifts to black background silhouetted by different colors in the shapes of weapons in the ground.

"Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus.", Blake said as she began her story.

The audience is shown the dark outlines of two trios - animal-eared and tailed Faunus on one side, regular Humans on the other - shaking hands and making peace after their struggle. This does not last long, as seen by a white Faunus cowering in fear of the gray-and-black aggressors harassing the hybrid. Later, more Faunus are pushing the crowd away from their bullied brethren.

"Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice of our people. And I was there.", Blake continued.

It showed a young Blake in front with her faunus brethren that were protesting the violence by the gray and black silhouetted figures.

"I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist.", Blake saidas the scene played out her story in the background.

Cutting away from the child version of Blake, the blue flag of a white wolf with sad eyes and a circle behind its head is lowered, and raised in its stead is a red monster with three bloody scratches and teeth bared at the world.

"Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking.",Blake said continuing with her story.

Behind her, Faunus replacing their picket signs with Axes and swords, windows are shown to be broken, and thieves hijacking trains to steal their cargo and goods.

"Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect... out of fear.",Blake said.

One more image of the Faunus figures is shown. It showed them standing in a dominating manner as evil grins adorn their visages as Blake sets her tea cup down and the Flashback ends in front of a shocked and stunned Sun.

"So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow."Blake said finishing her explanation as she wiggles her cat ears behind her bow showing that it was moving.

Sun put a hand to his chin in thought, he seemingly was coming to terms with this.

"So... Blake.. Have you.. told your friends yet about this?," Sun asked.

Blake looks down as she says nothing. Thinking about it though, she spoke up after a minute.

"N-No I haven't... But I'm pretty sure there are some of them who know, even if I didn't say anything.," Blake explained.

This caught Sun's attention as he was rather curious now.

"Oh? Who are these friends of yours that you think may have figured it out, even with you not saying anything?," Sun asked.

Blake sighed as she then began to tell Sun about the students who were in her circle of friends that were just... a little different than the others.

Downtown Vale: with the remaining members of Rwby and Team OHRF

"Blaaaake!", Ruby called shouting.

"Blaaaake!", Yang also called out.

"Blake! Where are you?," Roy called out.

"Ms Belladonna!," Flare called.

"Blaaake! Answer if you hear us!," Hailfire called out.

"Blaaaake! We're worried about you! Come on out!," Odyn called out.

"Blaaaaaaaake! Where aaaare yoooouuuu!?",Ruby continued calling out.

"Blaaake!," Yang called out again.

They look to Weiss who isn't doing anything.

"Weiiiiss, you're not helping!",Ruby said pouting.

"Oh! You know what might be able to help? The police!",Weiss said earning a stern glare from Odyn.

"Weiss..," Odyn glared dangerously at her.

This caused Weiss to involuntarily freeze up for a second. Hailfire then sighed.

"Weiss... you know we've already talked about this before, right?," Hailfire said admonishing the heiress.

"It-It was just an idea!," Weiss said.

Odyn & Ruby both sighed exasperated.

"Yeah, a bad one.," Ruby said.

"Weiss, I think we should hear her side of the story before we jump to any conclusions.",Yang said following behind Ruby and Odyn.

"I think that when we hear it, you'll all realize I was right!",Weiss said before promptly getting hit on the head by Roy.

BONK!

"Ow! What was that for?!," Weiss asked angered.

"💢💢💢 THAT WAS FOR BEING AN IDIOT, STUPID HEIRESS!," Roy snapped at her.

Weiss was so shocked by the outburst from Roy that she had nothing else to say for a few minutes. No one else did either, because they were all shocked at what Roy did. He wasn't really known for doing something like that, so the fact he did that to Weiss was a sign that he must have been really annoyed with her attitude to go as far as hitting and yelling at her.

"And I think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today!",Penny said appearing behind Weiss.

Ruby and her team are then surprised as they jump from her suddenly appearing.

"Aaaah! Penny! Where did you come from!?"Ruby said jumping in surprise.

"Hey guys! What are you up to?", Penny asked cheerfully ignoring Ruby's question.

Ruby didn't know how to answer this, so Odyn just tapped her on the shoulder to assure her he could cover for her.

"Uhh..."Ruby said not sure how to answer.

"Hey it's alright. I'll cover for you., "Odyn said to her.

"We're looking for our friend Blake, have you seen her?," Odyn asked.

"Ooooh, you mean the Faunus girl!", Penny said.

Ruby, Yang, and Weiss all stared at Penny.

"Wait, how did you know that?", Ruby asked.

Before Penny answered, Odyn spoke up.

"Actually, Ruby.. we knew as well.," Odyn said referring to himself and the other 2 Elves with him.

"Uhh.. the cat ears?," Penny said temporarily diverting the 3 girls attention as she points to her head.

"What cat ears? She wears a... booooowww... oh....," Yang said suddenly realizing what Penny was referring to.

The realization leaves them in silence as a tumbleweed blows through in the wind.

"Well, she does like tuna alot.," Ruby whispers.

"So, where is she?", Penny asked.

"We don't know, Penny..," Ruby said.

"She's been missing since Friday.," Odyn said.

"That's terrible! (Gasps) Don't you worry, Ruby, my friend! I won't rest until we find your teammate!," Penny said as she walks towards an uncomfortable Ruby.

"Uh, that's really nice of you, Penny, but we're okay! Really! Right, guys? Guys?," Ruby said as she does her best to keep smiling.

She turns only to see the blinking outlines of Yang, Weiss, Hailfire, and Flare. Their blinking outlines are all that's left of their hasty departure from the company of the odd girl. A tumbleweed then blows past them in the strange silence that followed.

Odyn smacks his forehead at this as he realizes why they suddenly left.

"🤦‍♂️ Of course they left! 💢 I'm going to be having a serious chat with Yang & Weiss later concerning this!," Odyn inwardly thought.

"It sure is windy today!," Penny said.

"😅 Yeah.. sure is. (Laughs nervously)," Ruby replied.

She then looks towards Odyn.

"Are... You okay, Odyn?," Ruby asked.

"💢 Yes, Ruby I'm perfectly alright.," Odyn said.

Ruby could tell although Odyn smiled, he was definitely angry about something. She'd... leave him be for now. Odyn was pretty scary when he was angry while still smiling.

The trio then walked off together to search for Ruby's missing teammate.

With Sun & Blake

Sun and Blake are then seen walking down an alley.

"So, what's the plan now?", Sun asked with his hands behind his head as he followed the cat faunus.

"I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before.",Blake said contemplating their next move.

Sun then widens his eyes as he comes up with an idea. It could work in theory, he just needed to be sure. But first, he needed Blake to be on board with the idea.

"What if they did? (Lowers his arms as he starts pacing) I mean... the only way to prove that they didn't do it, is to go to the place where they would most likely go to if they were to do it, and not find them there! Right?",He said presenting his idea to the faunus.

"The only thing is, I've no idea where that would be.",Blake answered.

"Well, while I was on the ship, I heard some guys talking about offloading a huge shipment of Dust coming in from Atlas.",Sun said.

"How big are we talking about?," Blake questioned.

" Huge. As in big Schnee Company freighter.",Sun replied motioning with his arms.

"You sure?," Blake asked.

Sun nodded in confirmation. The two now had a lead, they could plan around that info.

Vale- shopping district with Yang & Weiss

Yang is seen coming out of a shop with Weiss as Roy, Hailfire, & Flare waiting for them outside.

"Thanks anyways" Yang said as she sighs.

She then sees Weiss look around nonchalantly as the others rejoin their group.

"You really don't care if we find her, do you?," Yang asked disappointed.

 "Don't be stupid; of course I do. I'm just afraid of what she'll say when we find her. The innocent never run, Yang!," Weiss said.

Hailfire then sighed as she spoke up.

"Listen, Weiss let me give you some advice. Why is it do you think Blake ran after your spat with her?," Hailfire said.

Weiss looked up in thought.

"I don't know.," Weiss admitted.

"(Sighs again) You never gave her a chance to properly explain herself, did you?," Hailfire asked.

Weiss said nothing, she knew Hailfire was right.

"Thoght so. When we do find her, be sure to listen to her side of the story. Or at the very least, give her a chance to explain herself okay?," Hailfire said.

Weiss sighed.

"I-I'll try.," Weiss said.

The others smiled.

"Great, that's all we can ask for.," Hailfire said.

"Speaking of explaining... would you mind telling us what that was back in town?," Yang asked.

"I agree. That was.. bizarre to say the least. It was as if the officers attitude suddenly changed. What was going on there?," Weiss asked.

Roy looked to Hailfire as Flare, Yang, and Weiss all waited for their explanation.

"Should we tell 'em Roy?," Hailfire asked  unsure.

Roy sighed and shrugged, he knew this day would come.

"May as well. They were bound to find out at some point anyways. Not like we were purposely hiding it anyway.," Roy replied.

Hailfire tentatively nodded as she was sweating slightly.

"Well... everyone.... What we have to tell you may... change how you look at things from now on.," Hailfire said.

"You know how there are 2 races? There are the humans.. and then there are the Faunus. What if we told you that there was a 3rd race among those two? One that has always existed among the humans and Faunus?," Roy said starting the explanation.

"A third race?," Weiss asked confused.

"Yes. One that is neither human, nor is it Faunus. It is something else entirely.," Hailfire explained.

"But.. because of this and their elevated abilities,  they are often mistreated and prematurely judged by humans. Because in the eyes of the humans.. they have no right to live or even exist. They're nothing but a plague and an abomination.," Roy said.

Yang's eyes widened and she balled her hands into fists in anger.

"Seriously?! That's wrong on so many levels! No one should decide who lives and dies based solely on how they look!," Yang said angered.

"I concur. They are just as much people as the rest of us are, they should not be judged and discriminated against for something beyond their control!," Weiss said also angry.

Roy and Hailfire smiled at this, these girls had a good head on their shoulders, if only more humans felt the way they did about the Elves. 

"What does this have to do with what happened in town?," Flare asked.

"Hailfire and myself... just so happen to belong to that particular group of people.,"Roy revealed.

This shocked the girls, they had so many questions spinning in their heads now.

"Does that mean that-‽," Flare began to ask before Hailfire answered her question.

"Yes, it does. It's not just myself and Roy, it's also Baron... Khanna, and Odyn as well. Our appearing is partly a disguise to avoid any unnecessary attention.," Hailfire said.

"Your... appearance? What do you mean by that?," Yang asked.

"Rather than telling you, how about we show you?," Roy said.

Hailfire snapped her fingers and the small illusion that was cast over them began to lift as their true forms were revealed. Dark skin, flame colored eyes, and elongated and pointed ears were what the girls saw.

Their eyes widened in shock at seeing this.

"No way.... So you guys are-," Yang began to say fumbling for words to say.

"But th-That's..," Weiss stuttered as she was in disbelief of what she was seeing.

"You were going to say that's impossible,  right Weiss?," Hailfire asked.

Weiss nodded.

"We can't blame you for thinking that.  But now you understand why we have to disguise ourselves. Having students hailing from a mythical race at your school wouldn't exactly invite the most warm of receptions by the general public. They hate us Elves, no thanks to racist minded humans.," Roy replied.

It took the girls a minute to process this before Yang spoke up again.

"If you elves, disguise yourselves to avoid negative attention... why doesn't Odyn do so?," Yang asked.

"That is rather simple. My brother's magic is too powerful to conceal his true self.," Roy answered.

" Hold up, did you just say Magic?," Yang asked.

"Yes, he did. What? Did you think humans and faunus were the only ones capable of using Dust in it's truest form?," Hailfire asked.

They said nothing, thereby answering their question. 

"Does anyone else know who you guys are?," Yang asked.

"Yes. One person does...," Hailfire said.

"And who is that?," Weiss asked.

"Ruby, your team leader.," The elf answered.

" what the-‽ Rubes already knows?," Yang asked somewhat puzzled.

"Yes she does, thanks to my brother telling her.," Roy said.

"😅 Somehow... I'm not surprised considering how Rubes can get when she wants something.," Yang said sweatdropping. 

"😅 I believe that is a very gross understatement,  Yang...," Weiss said also sweatdropping. 

The Elves barrier returned over them as they spoke again.

"Please, be sure not to tell anyone outside of those you trust this.," Hailfire asked.

"It would be rather inconvenient for our people if that were to happen. We could be hunted down by Huntsman and Huntresses like animals. We'd then have to fight back, which would spark another war were this to happen.," Roy said.

That was alarming.

"That could start another war?!," Yang & Weiss both said in surprise.

Hailfire quickly shushed them, so as to not disturb anyone.

"Shh! Not so loud!," Hailfire said.

The two just wordlessly nodded as the group then returned to their search for Blake. Yang and Weiss had alot to think about now. And they were right... this definitely changed the way they saw things now.

Back with Ruby, Penny, & Odyn in another part of Downtown Vale

"So, Blake is your friend?",Penny asked.

"Yes, Penny.", Ruby said sighing as they continuing to walk down the sidewalk.

 "But you're mad at her?", Penny asked.

"Yes. Well, I'm not. Weiss is.", Ruby answered.

"Is she friends with Blake?",The green eyed girl asked.

 "Well, that's kind of up in the air right now...",Ruby said unsure.

Penny was confused at this, so Odyn simplified it for her.

"What Ruby means is we're not really sure if Blake is friends with Weiss or not right now.," The dark elf explained.

Penny was seen trying to contemplate this.

"But why?," Penny asked still a little confused.

 "Well, you see, Blake might not be who we thought she was...",Ruby said sighing.

Penny gasps at this.

"Is she a man?",Penny asked with wide eyes.

Odyn suddenly fell over at this, not at all expecting something of that nature to come out of Penny's mouth.

Ruby turned and looked at the dark elf.

"Are you okay over there, Odyn?," Ruby asked concerned.

"Who, me? Yeah (Laughs nervously) 😅 I just... wasn't expecting Penny to say something like... that just now.," Odyn said.

"No! No, Penny. She's... (sighs again) I don't know what she is. She didn't exactly talk to us before she decided to run off.",Ruby answered Penny.

"I don't have a lot of friends, but if I did, I would want them to talk to me about things.", Penny said.

" Me too..., Ruby said trailing off as she turns her gaze down sadly.

"Well.. that's why I'm here Ruby. You can talk to me about anything. I'm here to help you, however I can.," Odyn said.

Ruby smiles and lightly blushed at his words. She needed to hear that and it seemed that Odyn always knew just what to say when she was feeling down.

She was grateful to Odyn for that, it was a staple in their friendship over the past year thus far.

Penny seemed to have noticed the small interaction between Odyn and Ruby, because she smiled as well. There was a special kind of bond between these two and although she was not a normal girl, she could tell that Ruby really liked Odyn.

She scooted next to Ruby and whispered in her ear.

"Do you like Odyn?," Penny asked.

Unsure of what she meant, Ruby nodded.

"Yeah, I like him.," Ruby answered.

"Then are you two.. together?," Penny asked.

Ruby blushed as she now understood what Penny meant.

"Not you too... i-it's not like that!," Ruby thought.

Beacon Docks

Amidst the chirping of crickets and darkness of night, Blake lays flat on her stomach on the rooftop overlooking the shipment of Schnee Dust containers.

"Did I miss anything?",Sun asked.

"Not really. They've offloaded the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there.", Blake said as she looks up to see Sun drop down to her right.

"Cool, I stole you some food... ya know, in case you're hungry? (Blake gives him a look) Or.. not?," He said retracting the green apple he offered her.

"Do you always break the law without giving a second thought?",Blake said giving Sun a questioning look.

"Hey, weren't you in a cult or something?", Sun said defensively countering.

Blake give him an angry glare.

"Okay, too soon!," he said raising his arms up in surrender.

Just as he says this, the winds blows all around them, and they look up to see a Bullhead's searchlights flashing around for a landing spot, descending in the middle of the cargo containers and extending a ramp for a black hooded individual with a metallic fanged mask to come out of.

"Oh no...," Blake said.

"That... wouldn't happen to be them, would it?," Sun asked.

"Yeah.. that's them alright...," Blake said staring at the bloody wolf on back of the man's jacket.

"All right, grab the tow cables!," The white fang soldier said motioning with his rifle to other white fang members coming out of the aircraft.

"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?",Sun asked.

Blake shook her head.

"No, I think.. deep down I knew. I just didn't want it to be true.," Blake said.

She closes her eyes and balls her fists in despair, but then opened them upon hearing a new voice.

"Hey! What's the holdup!? It's not like we're the most inconspicuous of thieves at the moment! So why don't you animals pick up the pace already?," Roman said gesturing wide with his arms as the soldiers look up to him being lowered from the ship.

Blake was confused. That couldn't be right, why would the White fang be working with a human.. especially one like Roman?

 "This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a Human. Especially not one like that.", Blake said standing up and unsheathing Gambol Shroud from her back.

The cat faunus then walks off the edge othe roof they were observing the scene on.

 "Hey, what are you doing?!",Sun called after her alarmed.

Blake falls to the ground in a crouch, then continues on to hide behind one of the containers, peeking around the corner to see Roman berate a White Fang member holding a coil of rope.

"No, you idiot! This isn't a leash! What the- Oh, for f-"Roman says stopping mid swear as Blake suddenly appeared behind him with her blade at his throat.

"Nobody move!",Blake shouted.

The white Fang members equip their swords and guns in response to Blake's threat.

 "Whoa! Take it easy there, little lady.",Roman said.

As the White fang moves closer and starts to close in on her, she uses her free hand to untie the bow atop her head. This reveals her faunus ears to the world.

"Brothers of the White Fang! Why are you aiding this scum?",Blake asked.

U

nsure of what to do, the White Fang lower their weapons at this development.  Roman then laughs.

"Oh, kid, didn't you get the memo?",Roman asked.

 "What are you talking about?",Blake Glowered at him.

"The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!",Roman said.

"Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation.",Blake said pressing the blade of her katana up to Roman's neck.

Roman chuckled as he knew the faunus had no idea about what she was referring to.

"I wouldn't exactly say it's a little operation.," Roman replied as he looks up.

Suddenly, the air is filled with more turbines blowing the wind wildly around the holdup. Two more Bullheads are hovering above the heist, and as Blake watches in horror, Roman smiles and manages to fire his cane at Blake's feet, resulting in a large explosion.

Penny, Ruby, & Odyn all turn around upon hearing the loud explosion. Ruby grows worried as she sees the smoke rising from the docks, just a few buildings away.

"Oh no...," Ruby said worried.

Her and Odyn share a look, to which Odyn nods. He doesn't need to say anything to know what his friend 8s thinking.

The trio then hurries towards the docking bay, intent on finding the source of the loud noise they heard.

"Please... be okay, Blake! We're coming to help!," Ruby thought.

Back at the docks, Blake is dazed but relatively unharmed on the ground. She suddenly has to roll out of the way of Roman's continuous attacks. Flaming missiles are used as she has to flip out of the way  to avoid being burned by the backlash of the fiery explosions. The faunus then uses her semblance to duck behind more containers, at least until she can come up with a plan of attack.

"Here, kitty, kitty, kitty...", Roman says as he approached slowly.

Hus taunting is interrupted however when a banana peel lands on. his face. He tosses it away and growls up at the assailant responsible for the peel.

"Woohoo!", Sun bellows as he leaps from a container and onto the criminal's face feet first.

He then kicks and rolls up before landing on the ground, ready for a fight.

"Leave her alone!", Sun said.

The Bullheads open to let more White Fang members descend on the scene, standing by Roman as he gets up and they surround Sun.

"You are not the brightest banana in the bunch, are you, kid?", Roman said as he dusts himself off.

The White Fang charge at the monkey Faunus, but he manages to dodge slashes and get some of the soldiers with his fists and kicks until he rolls out of the way of one's sword.

"Haha!," Sun laughs as he dodges the attacks from the White fang soldiers.

Sun pulls out a collapsible red staff. He quickly uses this to beat down on each opponent that nears him, felling each one in a single flaming blow when he twirls it around, culminating in a scorching shockwave to beat the last of them.

Blake peers around the corner of the container to watch Sun jump around and beat another White Fang soldier, landing on his back and causing him to fly over toward Roman's head. The crook ducks then growls in annoyance and aims his cane at Sun, firing a shot that he defends himself from just when Blake jumps into the action herself.

"He's mine!", Blake called as she begins to engage the crook in a fight.

Blake goes in close and becomes a blur of afterimages as she slashes both blades at Roman, who backs away and deflects each would-be blow with his cane at unbelievable speeds. Blake continues to dash, hop over, and slide around Roman to try and find a weak spot. Finally landing a blow after using her Semblance but he quickly recovers, deflecting several more attacks before attempting to punch her in the face. Only to hit a clone as she flips away. The two clash weapons again, then Torchwick jabs her in the side.

"Hahaha!" Roman laughs as he knocks Blake to the ground after landing a few more hits onto her.

Just as Roman deals with one opponent, Sun appears right behind her. Vaulting over Blake he kicks Roman in the chest and disconnects his staff into two spinning circles of flame-firing shotgun nunchucks that only slow down once to show the audience what they are before becoming twin arcs of offense again. Sun swings each gun at Roman while firing everything he as at him, but even with the rapid series of shots and flying bullets, Roman manages to defend himself against every bullet and hit until a millisecond-long pause allows Blake to get a slash in and knock him back.

On his back, Roman notices a container hanging by a crane right above the two warriors, and gets up to fire his cane at its supports. Blake leaps behind it, but Sun barely misses when he jumps forward, ending up right below the nozzle of Roman's cane. Just as he's about to fire, his and Sun's attention are drawn to a familiar voice.

 "Hey!", Ruby calls.

Ruby appears on the rooftop overlooking them, Crescent Rose extended and ready for action. She's seen alongside Penny, and Odyn. From what Blake could tell, Odyn looked really ticked off.

Roman loses interest in Sun, who smiles and waves at the trio.

"Well, hello, Red! Isn't it past your bedtime? And who are these two with- you?," Roman asks.

The crook pauses as his face goes pale upon feeling the pressure around Odyn. His face also lost color when his eyes locked with Odyn's.  He didn't know why,  but he could tell that he wanted no part of messing with that blue haired boy.

"Ruby, are these people your friends?",Penny asked.

"Penny, get back!", Ruby said looking behind her.

While Ruby's attention is diverted, Roman snarls and fires a shot from his cane at her, only to have it burned away after Odyn catches it with his bare hand.

He then glares menacingly at Roman and crushes the bullet.

This resulted in an explosion, which Roman thinks did the strange boy in. As he laughs evilly. When the smoke clears his face goes pale as he sees the glare Odyn gives him.

"😡💢 You really are the worst kind of human... maybe I need to wipe that stupid smirk off your face!," Odyn said glaring at the crook.

He then sighs and backs away, letting Penny walk forward.

"All yours, Penny.," Odyn said.

Penny thanks him and walks forward, glaring at Roman.

"Wait, Penny! Stay bac-," Ruby said before Penny cuts her off.

"Don't worry Ruby, I'm combat ready!," the girl said with a grin.

Odyn put a hand on Ruby's shoulder as he reassured her that it'd be okay.

"If anything goes wrong... (snaps his fingers as swords of light appeared around him) I can back her up.," Odyn said.

Ruby's eyes widened at this.

"Odyn, no! If you use that, they'll know what you are!," Ruby said concerned.

The Elf smiled at her.

"Thanks for the concern, Ruby. But it doesn't matter, not if my friends are in trouble and I can help. Compared to that, being ostracized by the general public isn't so bad.," Odyn said to her.

Ruby couldn't help but blush at this. She clutched her chest as she felt her heart begin to beat. To think that Odyn would go as far as to be publicly vilified just to protect her and her friends... she had no words to describe how that made her feel.

Penny's backpack mechanically opens up, and from its dark depths comes a single sword that extends and multiples into several blades hovering over Penny's back. Leaping from the rooftop with the weapons acting as wings, she sends three of her swords to knock two White Fang soldiers down before even landing on the ground, where she proceeds to fling the swords at one enemy, impale another to a wall, create a barrier of spinning steel against a running attack, leaping over a goon with her swords in tow, and finally making a wheel that she throws to knock multiple Faunus off their feet.

Roman then tries attacking Sun & Blake again, only for his cane to be blocked by another blade. And.. was that heat he felt? Looking up, he saw red hair, and flame colored eyes as a new voice greeted him.

CLANG!

"I don't think so, crook!," Roy said.

Odyn then jumped down from the crate, followed by Ruby as they saw Roy, Hailfire, and Flare had all shown up. Odyn smirked.

"Took you long enough, Roy.," Odyn smirked.

"Yeah, well you weren't exactly specific about the situation here when you contacted me. But no matter, we're here now!," Roy said as he shoved Roman back.

"Whoa!", Sun said observing the spectacle.

"Let me take care of mister fancy pants here, you guys... take care of those.," Roy said pointing to the bullheads coming in.

Odyn nodded.

"Hail!," Odyn called.

"On it!," the dark Elven maiden replied.



Battle theme- Shumatsu Koku (Black Clover)

While Penny dealt with the immediate bullheads, the Elves went to work covering for the others as they prioritized handling the extra white fang soldiers and bullheads.

Odyn snapped his fingers as blades of light surrounded him.

"Light Magic: Light blades of Conviction! ",Odyn cried.

Odyn then sent the blades of light towards the crowd of white fang soldiers as he and Ruby fought back to back.

Hailfire used her magic to enhance her shield to provide more knockback.

Weiss, Yang, Blake , & Sun just watched in shock at what the Elves did.

"Flame Magic: Dragon's Battering Horn!," Hailfire cried as she thrust her shield forward.

The impact knocked back many of the soldiers, rendering them unconscious as the Elf teen charged through the like a battering ram.

Roy meanwhile fought Roman, as it wasn't really much a fight. Roy was a trained warrior from his adolescence,  a mere crook couldn't fell him.

Roy used his ki to enhance his sword was he fought Roman. The crook went to shoot him, but stopped when the elf was suddenly up close. He narrowly avoided having his cane split in two.

He was hit by the knockback from Roy's sword swing as a shockwave ripped through the ground and into the air, slicing a bullhead in half.

He did manage to parry some of Roy's strikes, before getting hit by a kick to the gut. The kick sent him flying into a crater, denting it.

"Woops, forgot to hold back.," Roy said.

What.. is this kid? These kids just keep getting weirder and weirder.," Roman said.

Back with Penny, Three Bullheads come from the skies and open fire on the battle. Penny merely forms a shield and launches two of her swords into the wall behind her, which in turn pull their wielder back with their strings. When her swords swirl around her again, she commands them to open their points and build up a large glowing ball of green light. With a punching action, several bright lasers crack the pavement when they fire at the transports and slice each one in half, causing several of the White Fang members inside to fall and letting Ruby watch as Bullheads fall in pieces behind her.

Stunned, she turns back to Penny as she aims her swords at the remaining Bullheads holding the crate of Dust and pulls back on their wires, tugging the aircraft with them.

The Elves observe and whispered to each other.

 "Whoa... How is she doing that?", Ruby asked astonished.

Ruby shook her head as she had another thought.

"Wait.. Nevermind about Penny,  how are Odyn and his team doing what they're doing?!," Ruby thought shocked.

Roman gets up from the kick he received and looks to the skies. Seeing the Bullhead's flight fall under Penny's control, Roman grimaces and turns to run towards the last transport.

"I'm not sticking around to find out what else these pointy eared freaks and these kiddies can do! They are all weird!," Roman says from the safety of his escaping transport.

Odyn sees the jets escaping, and conjures a light blade before hurling it at the escaping jet. It damages it somewhat as the crook escapes from the lost battle.

The Elves walk over to the others as the members of team Rwby gather together.

Later, a handful of police cars are at the docks, where Ruby, Blake, Sun, Odyn, Roy, Penny, Hailfire, and Flare sit on boxes in silence. That's until Yang and Weiss arrive on the scene.

"😏 I see you two got here before us, Roy, Hailfire.," Yang said smirking.

"Yeah.. it was kind of an emergency since Odyn called for backup.," Hailfire explained.

"S-Sorry we just bailed on you two.," Flare apologized.

Yang put her hands up to calm them down, she wasn't upset.

"Hey, it's alright. It all worked out in the end right?," Yang said.

"Yang's right. It's fine. But uh... I think we may have some explaining to do once they're done over there 😅.," Roy said sweatdropping. 

"😅 Yeah.. that's an understatement, " Hailfire said.

The camera then switches over to Ruby and the others.

"Look Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing. See, she doesn't actually have a bow, she has kitty ears and they're actually kind of cute...", Ruby said quickly trying to explain the situation regarding Blake.

Weiss ignores her and walks up to Blake.

"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with the-",Blake said before being interrupted by Weiss.

"Stop! Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you? (Pauses before speaking again)  Twelve hours. That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in that twelve hours, I've decided...",Weiss said before speaking again.

Ruby, Yang, and Sun look on worried while Odyn's team just smiles.

"I don't care.", Weiss admitted.

This confused Blake, she wasn't expecting that.

"You don't care?", she asked surprised and puzzled.

 "You said you're not one of them anymore, right?", Weiss answered in question.

 "No, I-I haven't been since I was younger-",Blake started before Weiss silenced her.

"Ah-bahp-bahp-bahp! I don't want to hear it. All I want to know is that the next time something this big comes up... you'll come to your teammates. And not some... Someone else, got it?," Weiss said looking behind her at Sun but then catches herself as she refocuses on Blake.

 "Of course.", Blake said as she wipes a tear upon seeing Ruby and Yang smile at her.

Weiss smiles and nods. The moment is serious for a second more until Ruby screams:

"Yeah! T eam RWBY is back together!"

As Ruby's team gathers together, Weiss points an accusing finger at Sun.

 "I'm still not quite sure about how I feel about you!",Weiss said.

Sun just laughs nervously and rubs the back of his head.

Hey, wait a minute... Where's Penny?", Ruby asks looking around.

Odyn puts a hand on her shoulder and smiles at her.

"I'm sure she's fine.. wherever she is Ruby.," Odyn said.

Ruby smiles as she realizes Odyn is right.

"Yeah.. you're right, Odyn. We'll see her again., Ruby said as they join the other teens.

From the darkened back seat of a limo, Penny watches the group of friends reuniting with each other.

 "You should know better than to go running around in a strange city.", Penny's driver said.

Penny hangs her head low as she responds.

"I know, sir.", She says hanging her head sadly.

"Penny, your time will come...", the driver says as the limo drives off.

Elsewhere....

Meanwhile, Ozpin is seen holding a Scroll showing a "LIVE FEED" of Ruby at the docks. He closes the video and opens up a communication with Qrow, whose team name and other information is left blank and his only message is: "QUEEN HAS PAWNS."

 "Hmmm...", Ozpin muses as he puts a hand to his chin in thought.

The scenes cuts to a view of Beacon Academy bathed in the light of the nearly-full moon as the screen then fades to black.

The screen then comes back up as Roman is seen walking into a warehouse with a shadowy interior. He's holding his arm, and his clothes are  torn from the battle at the docks. He goes over to a table and places down a case of mysterious contents, sighing tired.

 "How very disappointing, Roman.", A new voice said.

Turning around, the crook sees 3 new figures approaching. Two are female and one is male.

"Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting to see you guys so soon...", Roman said nervously laughing.

Of the three figures before Roman, only her head, containing yellow eyes and flowing dark hair, is seen.

"We were expecting... more from you.",The voice now revealed as Cinder Fall said.

"Hey! You were the ones who suggested working with those stupid mutts from the White Fang.", Roman said laughing a little before becoming serious.

"And you will continue to do so. (She chuckles darkly) We have big plans for you, Roman. All we ask is... for a little cooperation.," She says as she summons a fire ball with her hand.

She then notices the state he's in. It couldn't have been that hard to steal Dust, could it?

"How on Remnant did you get so scratched up?," Cinder asked.

"Yeah, couldn't have been that hard dealing with students.," The male voice said.

"If you must know... No one told me among the students, there'd be members of the mythical third race on Remnant!," Roman said sighing.

"There were members of "that" fabled race?," Cinder asked.

"Yes. There are members of the Dark Elves among the student body in Beacon Academy! One of them nearly torched me alive,  while the other came close to slicing me in two!," Roman said sighing in exasperation.

" That is news, how were they?," Cinder asked suddenly curious.

"Strong. Although, the one with dark blue hair.. He has more power than I've ever felt before. Out of the three I encountered, he's by far the most powerful.," Roman said.

Cinder chuckled and thanked him for the info.

"Don't worry too much about the Elves, we'll handle them.," Cinder said chuckling.

Back at the docks...

The teens walked back to the dorms, it had been a long weekend for them. However it wasn't over yet.

"Speaking of... Would you mind explaining what all that was back at the docks?," Weiss asked.

"I'm curious as well.," Blake said.

Odyn sighed, he knew this was coming. They had alot of explaining to do.

"😏 I couldn't help but notice, how close you two were during the whole time after Rubes..  Are you two, ya know? An "item" yet?," Yang asked smirking.

Ruby groaned as she blushed at the implications of what Yang was suggesting.

"You have been rather close this whole time,  Ruby.," Blake said.

"I'm inclined to agree.," Weiss said.

"Ugh... I told you guys IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!," Ruby said with her face flushed scarlet.

The scene then pans up to the sky which houses the shattered moon as the scene then fades to black.

Ending song: (don't know the name of it lol) Shonen Onmyouji ending 1

Hopefully you guys enjoyed this chapter.. it was one of the longer ones I've written. If the fight scenes bother you or seem rushed, I tried and am still trying  to get better at writing fight scenes so bear with me please lol.

As I've stated earlier, the humans and Dark Elves don't really like each other in this story, so I hope I somewhat communicated that fact. This will be delved into more as.the story progresses. I planned on having Ruby being the only one to know about Odyn & the others being dark elves but after thinking about it, I decided it'd be better if everyone in team Rwby knew. Obviously humans who are older know, which is why Roman knew what they were. Cinder has only heard of them. Anyways next chapter we begin Volume 2 of the Rwby cannon! Until then see ya!
