Chapter 21: Chapter 022: An Invitation to a Banquet?

The Abandoned Tohsaka Mansion

By the time Reiji arrived at the Tohsaka estate,

it was no longer the fortified base of a Master—

But a completely abandoned ruin.

"Master, looks like the battle here is already over."

Tamamo-no-Mae sniffed the air,

then shrugged her shoulders helplessly.

Reiji's gaze, however, was fixed on Tokiomi's lifeless body.

His main concern—

There were no Command Spells on his hand.

"Seems like someone beat us to it…"

He chuckled, already guessing the culprit.

"If it was anyone, it had to be Kirei."

Then—

He smirked knowingly.

"Well now…"

"Maybe letting Kirei go back to report the death… actually worked out in my favor."

With that, Reiji turned around.

There was nothing valuable left here.

Time to move on.

...

Thunder roared across the sky.

Dust was swept aside by the violent winds.

From the shifting smoke and debris emerged a colossal figure.

Rider—Iskandar, King of Conquerors.

Reiji grinned as he watched the King charge forth from the sea.

"Oh? You weren't interested in fighting me earlier."

"Now you're in a hurry to die?"

Iskandar's booming laughter filled the air.

Of all Servants, Iskandar was an extremely difficult opponent.

Not everyone had Gilgamesh's Anti-World Noble Phantasm.

But—

Being difficult to deal with was no immunity from death.

Reiji's eyes narrowed dangerously.

Iskandar, however, continued laughing.

"No, no!"

"There are only four factions left in this Holy Grail War."

"So I have decided—"

"We should all sit down for a grand banquet!"

"A discussion of the Grail's future!"

He grinned boldly.

"Well, little brother—will you join us?"

Reiji squinted at him,

then chuckled to himself.

"Ah… So this is 'The Banquet of Kings'… but adapted because I'm not a king, huh?"

"Interesting."

"Fine. Where's the meeting place?"

"Master, Why Accept His Invitation?"

Watching Iskandar ride off into the distance,

Zhuge Liang gave Reiji a sideways glance.

"Master, why agree to this?"

Reiji grinned.

"With our current strength, we could just eliminate them one by one."

"Other than Gilgamesh, none of them are that much trouble."

Then—

He paused for a moment, deep in thought.

But…

"Zhuge Liang, Don't You Think This Banquet... Would Make a Perfect Grave?"

Reiji's voice was calm as he walked forward without hesitation.

Zhuge Liang paused for a moment, then let out a quiet chuckle.

"Indeed… If it's to bury a king—"

"Then perhaps, this banquet is the perfect place."
