Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 58: Beat Them Up

Su Yan hadn't been angry in a long time. When one's strength reached a certain level, most things that could provoke anger became trivial and easily resolved.

At times, Su Yan even felt as though his travels had made him indifferent, like a character in an endless map-running game.

But now, standing before the ruined Fairy Tail guild, he realized no one had ever pushed him past his limit.

This guild was the only home Su Yan had known since arriving in this world alone. It was the thing he cared for most.

Now, seeing it in shambles, Su Yan's rage spilled over. His Conqueror's Haki erupted in a wave of furious energy.

The ground beneath his feet cracked, and the shock spread to nearby buildings, causing visible fractures.

Ordinary people in the vicinity fainted under the oppressive aura.

Lucy and the others felt the crushing pressure, their spirits buckling. Even attempting to speak or calm Su Yan was impossible.

In the basement of the guild, the remaining Fairy Tail members felt the overwhelming force.

"This... this is..."

"It's Su Yan!"

Inside the temporary guild base, everyone immediately recognized the source of the powerful aura.

Makarov, who had been feigning indifference to the attack on the guild, instantly paled. "No! That brat Su Yan is back!!"

He stood up abruptly, barking orders. "Someone calm him down now! If that boy goes all out, the entire city will be thrown into chaos!"

When Su Yan had first joined the guild, he had accidentally unleashed his Haki and knocked out nearly the whole town. Now, his power had grown to terrifying heights. A full-blown outburst could devastate the area.

Suddenly, a familiar voice called out behind Su Yan: "Su Yan! Calm down! Everyone is safe!!"

The wave of Haki dissipated instantly.

Lucy and the others gasped for breath, their knees weak. They exchanged frightened glances, realizing the immense weight of Su Yan's power. Standing against it had been impossible, and the thought of fighting it was unthinkable.

"Mira? What happened? Who did this?" Su Yan asked coldly, his fury barely contained.

"It was Phantom Lord," Mira replied. "As much as it pains me to say it, we were attacked. Let's discuss the details inside the guild."

"Phantom Lord..."

Su Yan's eyes narrowed. He recalled the guild name faintly—an organization that had always been at odds with Fairy Tail.

Six years ago, Jose Porla, the guild master of Phantom Lord, had been inducted as one of the Ten Wizard Saints. Buoyed by his newfound prestige, he had picked a fight with Makarov during a council meeting.

At the time, Makarov had been celebrating Su Yan's promotion to S-rank mage. Jose, however, dismissed Fairy Tail's accomplishments and mocked them openly.

Makarov, known for his fiery temper and loyalty to his guild, didn't take kindly to such remarks. Fueled by alcohol and anger, the two guild masters clashed, with Makarov ultimately crushing Jose in a display of dominance.

Jose had avoided council meetings ever since, humiliated by the loss.

Fairy Tail Guild, Basement Level

The basement of Fairy Tail, typically used for storage, had become a makeshift guild hall after the attack.

"Su Yan! You're back!"

"Natsu and Gray are here too!"

"Did you see the state of the guild? Damn it!"

"Those Phantom Lord bastards attacked us! Next time, I'm destroying their guild!"

"Calm down! You're up against Phantom Lord."

"What's there to fear? We have Su Yan here!"

The mood shifted immediately upon Su Yan's arrival. His presence was like a stabilizing force. Without any S-rank mages present during the attack, many had been left feeling vulnerable.

Makarov raised a hand lazily in greeting. "Yo, welcome back."

"Gramps, is this the time to be drinking?!" Natsu yelled angrily.

Makarov straightened up, his demeanor changing. "Oh, right! You three took on an S-class mission without permission. Time for punishment!"

He swiftly smacked Natsu and "Happy" on the head, then gave Lucy a playful slap on the rear.

Mira pouted, placing her hands on her hips. "Master, this isn't the time for that!"

"The guild is destroyed! This is serious!"

Makarov sighed, rubbing his cheeks. "Calm down, everyone. This isn't as bad as it seems. The ghosts are only capable of sneak attacks. What's the point of destroying the guild when no one was here? There's nothing to be proud of in such cowardly tactics."

He turned to Su Yan. "And you, boy. You need to control your temper. You nearly knocked out the entire city with your outburst. If you keep this up, the Magic Council will definitely come knocking, and I'm tired of listening to those old fools lecture me."

Natsu slammed his fist against a table, shouting, "We can't just let this go! I'm going to beat them up!!"
