Commentary on Chapter 15. Unequal combat.

 Enjoy reading!

"She has a talent for this magic."- thought a satisfied Eros as he saw a small fountain of water fly out of the card in Kana's hand, "But the magic supply is too small, though... She's still a child, that will be fixable in the future"

- Well done Kana," Lily exclaimed happily, clapping her hands together.

- You really do have talent.

All these compliments made the girl blush.

- Thank you.

- Continue in the same spirit and in the future you will become the strongest female mage.

- I'll do my best! - Kana's eyes lit up after hearing those words.

"Okay and I can't lag behind, give or take a fortnight and Gildarts will be back, I'll have to surprise him and punch him in the face for the whole month and a half!"- Eros had a devilish grin on his face, and Lily saw it and shuddered and turned sharply in the opposite direction, looking at the beauty of the bookshelf.

Leaving the guild, he headed for the East Woods as usual. And after twenty minutes, he reached the cave where one five metre tall gorilla should be waiting for him, but there was no one there.

"Strange..."- his thoughtful gaze fell on a tree with claw marks, - "This monkey certainly didn't have claws, and I haven't seen them on this spot before..."

The sounds of heavy footsteps began to come from the cave, growing louder and louder.

"It's definitely not him..."- at that moment, a five metre long body of a hairy creature, covered in blood, flew out of the cave, - Macacus! - Quickly approaching the body, Eros began to examine it.

Vulcan was still conscious, he raised a trembling hand and pointed a finger in the direction of the cave. Eros quickly looked in the direction Vulcan was pointing and out of the cave came a giant five metre tall creature, very much like a bear with three eyes, all three looking at the titan's figure.

- Three-eyed bear," whispered Eros, with a touch of fear, "A-rang monster, no, even among A-rangs, he is one of the strongest! What could this creature be doing on the outskirts of the Eastern Forest!

RAR!

- Macaca, can you move? - During this month, Eros had grown attached to this monkey. He had fought it many times and lost many times, but Vulcan never once finished off the titan, they fought as equals. There were days when he would pass out after their fights and the ape would take him to his cave where he would help him recover a little.

- Go away cub..." said Vulcan in a hoarse voice, trying to get up but falling back down.

- Macaca, don't be silly! You know I'm not leaving..." in his periphery, Eros saw the bear start to approach them, "Shit!" he hissed, and quickly moved away.

Vulcan was glad when he saw the cub begin to retreat. After all, during this time, he had grown just as attached to him. Of course, when Vulcan had first seen Eros, he had intended to kill him because he had entered his territory, but then he had a very fearsome and powerful man at his side and the creature had realised that if it made a move against him, it would quickly be killed. And after Vulcan realised that he was not going to be killed, but only forced to fight with a "little booger" he was happy, but when he found out that he could not be killed, he was a little upset.

They fought every day, and for the first few days Vulcan was constantly beating the crap out of Eros, because he was a monster first and foremost, and had no pity for outsiders. After a week, Vulcan began to notice that the titan was getting stronger, because only half of the blows could hit the child, and the rest of the blows went right past him. Vulcan was shocked by this, and began to take Eros more seriously, but after another week, only a few blows hit the child, and he began to fight him with even greater zeal, because he was afraid that when Eros became stronger than him, he would kill him.

And after a month, the worst happened, the cub was able to overpower him and even knocked him out, but when he woke up, he noticed that he was in his cave, his head was bandaged with white cloths and the cub was sitting next to him. He was very surprised that he was still alive, and even more surprised that he had been helped.

- Come to your senses, Macak, I'll be back tomorrow," the little monster said smiling.

- Macac! - Vulcan was very angry when he realised the last word, "I have a name! I'm not Macacus!

- No, you will be," he jumped off the rock and walked towards the exit, "Okay, get well, come on, I'll be back tomorrow and we'll continue! - Waving his hand to the dazed Vulcan, he left the cave.

- That's a hell of a thing to say, little man!

The next day, he came back again and they continued fighting as before. One day, Vulcan, was able to take Eros by surprise and defeat him. Previous times, when the boy had passed out, the scary man had come to get him, but that day, he never came, much to Vulcan's surprise. So he took the boy's body and brought it to his cave, and when he saw the bump on his head, he took out some thick green paste and anointed it. Five hours later, Eros came round.

- He tried to get up, but he suddenly became dizzy and when he started to fall, he felt something pick him up, it was a big pink hand, - Thank you, - Eros smiled and sat down on the floor and closed his eyes.

The Vulcan himself wondered why he had helped him. Perhaps it was just fear, or maybe it was something else, he never realised.

When Eros had more or less regained his strength, it was already very dark outside, but he still left the cave and walked towards Magnolia. Vulcan followed him just as silently, he walked him to the edge of the forest and when he disappeared from sight he returned to his cave.

Every day the cub came to his cave and with each new day, Vulcan realised that he was beginning to fall behind, for in the last three days he had never been able to hit him, and even in terms of strength they had become equal, which made him even more frightened, and at the same time he felt sad.

This afternoon, he was preparing for this battle as usual, but his warm-up was interrupted by footsteps at the entrance of the cave. At first Vulcan thought it was the bratty boy, but when he heard the roar, he immediately realised that it was something very scary. And it looked into his cave....

The power of this creature was on another level, and Vulcan had nothing to counter it. He saw the monster coming towards him and prepared to die, but what he expected never happened, only a thud. When he opened his eyes he saw that the bear's muzzle was looking to the right and when he looked there he saw Eros throwing stones at the monster.

- Come here, you stupid bear! I'll make a coat out of your skin, and I'll roast your meat and eat it, and then I'll shit on your skeleton... - and turning round he began to run away from the furious bear. Eros realised that he would chase after him by the bear's red eyes filled with rage.

The next moment, the titan jumped aside and accelerated, the trees began to fall behind him....

And one thing Eros realised for sure, if he stopped, he would die. Bear that he was being chased by a fucking monster among monsters.

The next moment, Eros jumped back sharply and right in front of him, he saw the residual image of black claws, as well as felt a slight puff of wind.- Caught up, yes, although it would be more accurate to say overtook, - Eros said with a sigh, looking at the bear fifteen metres away, - And I can't escape, can I?

In response, he received only a furious growl.

- I was joking, don't you get jokes? - While the titan was trying to talk to the bear, he was looking around, trying to find something that could help him in the upcoming battle. For the next thirty metres, there was just an empty clearing, it was as if the bear had led him to this place on purpose.

The next moment, Eros saw a looming paw above his head....

"Oh, bitch!"- He put his hand under the blow and jumped back, but Eros didn't have time to dodge completely and a crunch sounded all over the clearing, but that wasn't the end, the bear brought his other paw right into Eros' chest. His small body was thrown like a bullet into a tree.

The bear on the other hand roared contentedly and began to slowly approach the titan.

"Two punches... That's the difference between a B-rank mage and an A-rank mage... No, this bear is a monster, a real monster compared to Carl, who was considered an average strength A-rank mage..."- He felt a terrible pain in his whole body and could hardly move his still healthy arm, "What did I do to you stupid bear?! I've been training here quietly, not touching anyone, and you BITCH DECIDED TO APPEAR AND SURVIVE! NO, HONEY! IF I DIE, I'M TAKING A BITCH LIKE YOU WITH ME! - He struggled to lift his still healthy arm, closed his eyes and touched that power again. Quite a lot of time had passed since then and Eros had become much stronger, so...

When the bear was already a metre away from the boy's body, he stopped abruptly, his eyes narrowed and his fur stood up. He felt the wild danger emanating from the half-living body in front of him and all his senses screamed to leave the place as quickly as possible. And the bear, accustomed to trusting his instincts, rushed away from the body the next moment.

- Too late, - Eros had a wild smile on his face, and his teeth covered with blood complemented it very well, - DYING! - A black ball flew out of his hand, which in a split second caught up with the bear before he could even squeak, as it was covered with dark energy, which began to grow rapidly absorbing everything around it.

The sky around the clearing was covered with a dark cloud resembling a mushroom. There were no signs of life for the nearest kilometre, and the monsters had fled their territories as soon as they felt the surge of this wild magical power, leaving everything behind.

A metre from Eros's feet, a gigantic crater was beginning to form. The titan himself grinned at it and was glad he hadn't dared to bite off more power.

"I guess you could call it luck, huh?"- His gaze was directed to the sky, "That attack ate up the last bit of strength, now I won't lift a finger, let alone go..."- At that moment, he heard a rustle to his right, and fear began to brew in the depths of his heart, - "Shit! Even an ordinary boar can kill me now, and I'm not even talking about other monsters... What a bad time!"- he tried to move his arm again, but there was no reaction, "Am I going to die this young? HEY! I'm not ready to die yet!"
